Valentine woke up to the obnoxious ring of her alarm clock that never failed to abruptly rip her from her peaceful dreams. She groaned at the horribly annoying deep ringing sound, and punched the dismiss button on her alarm clock. Getting ready in the morning wasn't a problem for Valentine, but actually getting out of bed was like trying to run a marathon with boulders tied to her ankles. After a good six or seven minutes, Valentine decided that she'd better get up or else she would be late for school. She yawned as she stretched her arms and torso, then proceeded to push herself up from the bed and stand on her soft black carpet. She smiled softly while holding a groggy expression in her eyes. Valentine admired her
bedroom for a minute. She'd just finished redecorating it about three days ago, and absolutely loved how it turned out. She quickly snapped out of it, and got back to getting ready. She flipped the light switch next to her bed which turned on her lanterns and her lamps in each corner. Valentine then navigated her way around the room, and to her own private bathroom. Valentine took a very quick shower, and dried off just as fast.

After she finished her morning routine, she was ready for the day Her hair, makeup, and outfit were all done. She stood in front of the mirror to admire herself for a moment, then grabbed her backpack and made her way down the hall of the second floor of her three story house Valentine softly knocked on her brother's door. "Wakey wakey eggs 'n bacey." She spoke in a soft sing-song voice. "Hurry up, I'm driving." Valentine made her way downstairs, and grabbed a banana from the kitchen counter for breakfast. She took a few bites as she waited for her little brother to come downstairs. Valentine pulled out her iPhone 6 plus, and began texting her two best friends. First, she texted Circe. 'morning babe !! hows college treating u?' She then opened her chat with Carter. Not skinny Carter or her brother Carter, but the French Carter. Yeah, it's kinda confusing. 'morning dork. wanna drive to school together?' Valentine hit send. She always called him little names like that, just as a joke of course. It was so funny to to lightly tease him sometimes. In a friendly way.

Alice naturally woke up at about 6am, giving her enough time to shower and properly dress herself. To Alice's dismay, her father had already left for his job. It was very early, Alice knew. She felt as if her father was over working himself to the point of where she was getting worried about him. But, she didn't say anything- because 'It might make him feel bad.'

Heading to the bathroom and stretching, the brunette picked up her toothbrush and applied a small, pea-sized dot of toothpaste. After washing up, Alice headed to the shower but didn't rush at all, knowing she had more than enough time to get ready. Spending a good 15 minutes, she dried herself off and brushed her hair.

Alice put on some
casual clothing, applying some lip-gloss and coating her eyelashes with a light dash of mascara. Running down the stairs to greet her mother goodmorning, the girl waved and picked up a slice of toast that her mother had already prepared from the table. "You're a great chef!" Alice joked. Her mother hit her on the head with a magazine, only causing her to laugh more. "I think I'll start to head off, now." She slipped on her shoes at the front door, picking up her schoolbag. "Bye mom. I think I'll just walk today, I can't be bothered to get any money from my room." Alice took her iPhone out of her pocket, typing in her passcode and clicking on the messages application. She clicked on her conversation with Dakota, beginning to type. 'hiya :) im heading to school now. see ya there!!' "And... send." Alice put her phone in her pocket once again. She was acting a lot more anxious around Dakota, but it wasn't like he would notice.

Jessica Labeau

Jessica woke up around 6:00 AM when her Alarm Clock went off. She didn't have any of the Electronic ones like everyone uses today. No, she had the old-fashioned one which she fixed up and restored herself. It was pretty lonely for her to be living on her own. In fact, Jessica consistently wished that she was in a Coven...Or at least had a mate. If she was mortal, she'd be an old lady who'd be nearing her hundreds. Looking into her Refrigerator, she grabbed a Styrofoam cup and took a sip out of it. Yup, she stored some blood in her Refrigerator so that she wouldn't have to go hunting all the time. She fed on both Animals...and Humans. Though the only humans she fed on were usually criminals, like petty thieves or gang members. After cleaning herself off in an ice cold shower, the Vampiress started doing her hair and putting on her make-up. After getting her dress on, she grabbed her purse, Backpack and Car Keys before leaving her Apartment. Entering her car, she set her School Bag and Purse behind her seat before starting the engine. As she did so, Jessica just turned on some music to listen to as she began her drive to school.

Vampires do sleep. Why did the world think otherwise? In fact, one of Jack's favorite thing to do was sleep. Not in a coffin - oh hell no. In a regular bed. In a standard room. In a normal apartment. Jack was in no mood to wake up. He just fed the day before and was still suffering the food coma. He had caught an elk; a hefty elk - an old elk. Sometimes Jack wonders if animal blood is like fine wine.

His bloody dreams ended with the sunlight coming through the window and burning through his eyelids. He responded to the sun's audacity with a small grunt and rolled over to look at his clock. 6:58 AM. Two minutes until it would go off. Jack groaned and sat up, eyeing his messy wardrobe that had socks and pant legs spilling out of the drawers. He kicked his legs out from under the bed sheets to trudge to his clothes and slowly he decided on an
outfit that he was to wear.

Jack lived in a one room apartment, meaning that his kitchen and bedroom were in the same room. He had lived in many apartments but found this one to be one of his favorites. The landlord never asked him for papers, as he thought that Jack was a disowned child. He took Jack into the smallest apartment with the deal that Jack would fix whatever washing or drying machine that decided to malfunction.

Jack walked into his bathroom to find the corners of his mouth still crimson from the night before. He turned on the old sink and cupped his hands under the cold running water only to throw it into his face. He wiped his mouth with his hand before drying his skin and turned from the mirror, neglecting his bed-head hair, and stepped outside.

He lived quite close to his school, which was favorable as he was weary of getting drivers licenses. His slow aging process would make his vampirism very noticeable through the government eyes, and he had watched too many movies where the monster was the guinea pig. He locked his door and quickly stepped down the staircases that led to his apartment, humming as he went.

Jack stepped onto campus, clutching his backpack strap. He approached a planter that had a half wall and sat down, taking his phone out of his pocket and checking what he had missed on his social media accounts overnight.

Sunlight shone through the spaces between the curtains by the window, making it's way through the room to eventually reaching his face, gently waking him up. But it remained far from pleasant. Caleb, the boy in the bed, groaned loudly as he pulled the covers over his head, mentally preparing himself for the day. Giving out one more sigh, he rolled out of the bed, quite so literally. Falling down on the floor he cursed under his breath and staggered up on his feet. Looking around the room, he found nothing but a complete mess of clothes, which weren't even all his, and one hell of a lot of what would be considered trash to most people. But to him, every item had its own value. For instance, the clay bird on his nightstand wasn't the prettiest, but the bird is something he had gotten from his mother a long time ago, back in the day when he was still a human. Caleb walked over to the tall closet that stood in the corner of the room. Opening the door, he searched through the piles of clothes who seemed a little to identical. Little to no color, button ups and one hell of a lot of t-shirts could be found inside. A few minutes later, he walked out of his room dressed in a slimmed, black t-shirt and a pair of black jeans. At the moment, the only thing of color was his green eyes popping out in contrast to his dark hair and even darker attire, not to mention his pale complexion.

The apartment was in the state it usually was, empty. The only thing audible was Caleb's steps on the wooden floor. He made his way to the kitchen and opened the fridge. But his fridge wasn't filled with simple things like butter and milk. Instead there laid filled bags of cold blood, stacke in alphabetic order whereas ab+, the preferred one, would be found on the top shelf. Usually, Caleb would drink straight from the vein, but there was never so much time in the morning that he would be able to go out for a simple hunt. Instead, he stood there by the window with one bag of blood in his hands. He reached his hand up to his face and bit the bag he held, piercing the thin plastic material. Blood came, and the pleasure he felt from it was inexplicable. He smiled, or smirked, as he leaned his head on the wall next to him whilst glancing down on the street below for a good ten minutes. Upon realising that he would be late for school, Caleb rolled his eyes and threw the empty bloodbag on the table before grabbing the keys to his car and walking out of the apartmet. It never took him more than a few minutes to get to his destination when he took the car, and neither did it this time. The engine of the car gave a low rumble as it drove up on the parking lot of campus where lost freshmen walked around with their eyes glued to books and maps of the place. Caleb parked the car by a large oak and stepped out while digging his hand into his pocket, searching for one package that would save his day. He pulled up a cigarette from the package and placed it inbetween his lips while lighting it. Slowly breathing out clouds of smoke, he made his way through the schoolgrounds towards one table near the main entrance where he sat down and continued to smoke in silence.

Circe Mystic

Circe groaned hearing her grand mother yelling at her in Italian to wake up. She grunted and got out of bed, and looking around her bedroom. Her bedroom was simply lovely and huge. It was her space away from the world and she loved it. Circe got out of bed and too her bathroom. She took a quick shower and toweled herself off before going to her huge walk in closet. Circe had already picked out a few choices and decided on outfit number 2. She smiled at herself in the full length mirror before grabbing her phone and going downstairs. Today was her first day as a TA at her old high school. She smiled seeing the breakfast of Banana Puddin her Mima made her. She ate it slowly and tossed the spoon in the sink.

"Thanks Mima. See you later." she said exiting her lavish home and getting into her purple bug. She saw Valentine's text but wanted to surprise her. She parked and got out of her car. Some people instantly recognized her. Waving and saying hi. Now that she was a teacher she couldn't be the Queen Bee Bitch. She smiled tossing her hair and walking over to Jack.

"Guess who?" she said with a flirty inflection in her voice. Circe had a huge crush on Jack and she felt like he liked her too. He was kinda cold but she was hoping she could warm him up a little.

"How have you been sweetheart?" She said cuddling up next to him.

"Hey! Have you seen V around?" she asked looking down at her phone. Then she looked back up at Jack and smiled.

Violet Darcy McClevin

Violet sighed, rummaging through her closet for the fourth time in less than an hour. She was always one to take absolutely everything into consideration, and thought too much. She never really could make decisions right on the spot, as everything required some type of thinking to her.

Finally deciding on the proper
outfit, the vampire quickly dressed herself. Since she looked very young, it was socially acceptable for her to dress the way she did. She never did understand why the ways of acceptance have changed so much throughout her lifetime, but they were all fairly terrible. Of course, she would dress however she wanted to anyways, but she couldn't help but consider the looks and thoughts others gave or had of her.

Once Violet felt comfortable with herself, she grabbed the current book she was reading and walked to the door. The wooden floors beneath her creaked with each step, but she was used to it by now. Practically everything made some type of noise in her current home, as it was very old and had been abandoned years ago. It wasn't the ideal living space, considering everything had been shut off, but she's already accustomed to life without modern technology and such.

Violet sighed as a cool breeze ran through her hair. She gently shut the door behind her, walking away. She lived a little bit outside of town, which really didn't help. She also couldn't get her license, as she looked too young and it required too much work for all the updates for each move. Instead, she walked for a little bit before using her enhanced speed.

The small vampire stopped about a block away from the school, hidden in some plants. She did this practically everyday, and it's worked every time. She began walking towards the high school, and realized that she still had some time to spare. Pulling out her book, she sat herself down on a bench and began reading.

Carter Briar

tumblr_inline_n25e5pnKVD1rx48z5.gif
Carter sighed as his sleep was disturbed, and by the disgusting mating call of his alarm clock. He absolutely hated waking up, and really only looked forward to going back to sleep later at night. He sighed, sitting up and swinging his legs over the edge of his bed. The cold air surrounding him nipped at his skin, but at least the carpet below was warm.

Carter searched his closet for something decent to
wear, taking his time in getting dressed. He always made sure to throw on something baggy or layers, because he was ashamed of what he has become. He ran a hand through his messy hair, not even bothering to tame it. Running down to the bathroom so he could brush his teeth, he felt like that was enough for this morning.

The house was bustling with life, as Klaus was helping Megan get ready. Since the older brother graduated last year, he decided to take a year-long break that's actually lasting much longer. The youngest of the three on the other hand, had another four years before she could move on to a university.

"Here, eat this banana," Megan said as she handed Carter the yellow fruit. He nodded gently, making his way to the back door. He quietly slipped his breakfast into the trash, and made his way outside. Since the high school could be seen from the backyard, it was an easy walk to campus.

Dakota woke up to his phone buzzing. He was at his desk, face in book. His eyes narrowed as he realized where he was and his spine shot up straight. He darted his eyes to the digital alarm clock to read 7:38 AM. It didn't go off? He's normally on his way by now. Dakota scrambled to shove all of his binders and books into his back pack and quickly scanned his desk for assignments that failed to make it into his backpack. He threw his bag over his shoulder and snatched his phone with greedy hands and bounded out of his room - wait. Clothes. Dakota was still wearing pajamas. And slippers. What was he studying last night? What year is it?

He stepped back into his bedroom and stripped himself of his PJ's to rip clothes out of his closet. He quickly
dressed and shuffled down the stairs, backpack and phone in hand, and strode to the door. He stopped dead in his tracks with his hand on the door knob. Carter. Dakota promised that he would bring cookies to Carter today. He turned and paced to the kitchen where a nicely wrapped box of home-made cookies that Dakota made yesterday evening sat on the counter. He carefully picked it up to avoid tears and then successfully made it out with no more roadblocks. As he walked to his bike, he finally replied to Alice. "You saved me. I was still asleep before you texted me. I'll see you at school!" Dakota pressed send and gingerly placed the box of cookies in the basket on his bike along with his phone. He threw a leg over his bike and began to pedal down the road. Thankfully Dakota didn't live devastatingly far away. He got to the bike rack with seven minutes to spare, but with aching calves and messy, wind-blown hair. He sighed out of exhaustion and stepped off of his bike, adjusting his backpack and picking up his belongings from his basket. He walked to a water fountain to soothe his dry throat and vowed to never, ever wake up late again. He felt a little sheepish at his effort to get here, as he could have spent at least four more minutes to his leisure. He stood up straight and removed his beanie to run a hand through his hair. Maybe Friday the 13th really is unlucky after all.

Carter Rosewood

Carter awakened to the sound of Valentines sweet voice. He groaned looking at his clock. Carter got into the shower and washed his body then quickly dried off and tossed his towel in the hamper. He got dressed in an outfit his sister picked out for him and smiled admiring how cute he looked in his mirror. He quickly did his hair, just grabbing some mousse and styling it up. Once he was satisfied he grabbed his backpack and phone and went downstairs.

"Morning." he said, still a little groggy. His voice was usually deep but pretty soft.

"We need to go. Are we picking up your boyfriend?" Carter said playfully. He wasn't talking about himself, or skinny carter, but straight carter. A.K.A his best friend. Him and Carter were very tight. They spent a lot of time together. Carter was super funny and smart. Carter didn't like Carter, he was flirting with Carter. Confused? Him too.

"I'm still not happy you're flirting with him. Because my best friend and my sister. That's just gross." His face frowned up and he let out a sign before returning to normal. He didn't like the idea of Valentine dating Carter just because if something happened between them, he would have to choose and that was something he never wanted to do.

"Lets gooo!" he whined. Carter was a huge baby when he was tired. But it was kinda his fault. He was up until 1am taking 'Sexy Pictures'. He got out of his chair and laid down on the floor, groaning out. He wasn't sure why he was throwing this tantrum but he was. He usually wasn't like this but this morning he was extra whiny.

( This is awful omg sry. @ultraviolence )

"Morning already? C'est pas juste ..."

As the small hands on the clock silently rolled themselves forward, Vivienne sat herself silently on the mini windowsill couch, the structure actually wide enough for the redhead to take a seat. Or at least half a seat. She pulled one leg up, letting her foot step onto the wooden surface, making herself comfortable as she leaned back against the wall, while her other leg was left untouched, uncared for, simply hanging off and planted on the floor. It wasn't the most comfortable of positions, but this wasn't just any spontaneous decision that was made in the wee hours of the morning. No, this was a familiar position for her, quite unladylike, but the perfect embodiment of all that she was, and could be ... of course, those were her coach's words, and god, that women had a set of lungs on her no matter what hour it was.

Suppressing the shiver that threatened to cut through down her spine, Vivienne stared silently out the window, watching as the bare branches just beyond the glass prison swayed. It was not graceful, nor elegant, but it held a certain beauty of it's own. It also told her that the winds would not be as kind as they were when she had first landed on Slythorn soil. With that thought in mind, the redhead wilted just slightly. A frown pulling at her lips, as her eyes narrowed at the sky above. It was already November, so the drastic weather changes were inevitable, that much she understood - and accepted - but what she dreaded was the threat of snow.

Suddenly, the light chiming of bells broke her out of the short monologue she had going on in her head. It startled the redhead just the slightest, seeing as the chimes were but light and quiet notes, and tore through Vivienne's frail and loose thoughts. With a deep breath, collecting herself, the redhead swung her leg off the windowsill, taking quiet short steps over to her bed counter, where she lightly tapped the 'OFF' button on the small clock, ceasing the chimes altogether, leaving the redhead to move about her room with only the ticks of the clock to fill the room.

Stepping out from her room, Vivienne brought up a hand to cover her mouth as a silent yawn made itself known. Staggering slightly, the redhead's legs dragged themselves to the bathroom just across from her room. Staring into the mirror, the redhead barely brushed off the eye twitch, or perhaps it was a cringe, as she properly looked at her reflection in the mirror for the first time in ... craning her neck to peek through the crack of the bathroom door she had left open and squinting, Vivienne sighed audibly. It had been at least 16 hours since she last slept, and it
definitely showed.

Still, she had a bit of time before she had to leave for school, so perhaps she'd be able to make herself presentable, and wash away the after effects of a shitty plane ride, right? Right. The shower, hair curling, and very light make up had taken most a little longer than she had liked, but thankfully, the redhead had already had her clothes out, ready and laid down on her bed, so in no time, the redhead was out the door, locking up the apartment while adjusting the strap of her shoulder bag. Grumbling, the redhead began making her way down to the ground floor of the complex, watching enviously as some people drove off on the streets, no doubt students just like she was. Unfortunately, while she could drive, and had her license, it was mutually decided between her guardians [and herself, though she was beginning to regret it just the slightest] that there was absolutely no need for her to own a car while in the small town of Slythorn. The place had buses, and it certainly didn't hurt to just walk on a particularly good day.

Still, the weather was cold. Vivienne had dressed herself rather simply, jeans that allowed her to breathe and stretch, and a white tank top, which was underneath the form fitting black leather jacket she had. The jacket was slightly ruffled, as the redhead had decided to slip it on while on the plane, but it definitely served it's purpose. It was warm, and the redhead could barely feel the chills and winds touch the skin under the sleeves. She was mostly warm, the only place getting all the chills were her neck, seeing as she had misplaced her scarf within one of the other suitcases - the one that she hadn't opened yet - she simply had to brave it out, using the collar of the jacket and her own hair to protect herself.

Thankfully the walk to school wasn't too terrible, and Vivienne felt herself relax just the slightest as the looming building of the school came to view. There were many people here and there, many she recognized, and the few that were new faces. Biting her lip, Vivienne let herself look left and right, sweeping the grounds for a certain somebody that was just a few inches taller than herself. The redhead hadn't had the time to properly send off a message to her friend when she arrived ... or uh, came back, surely, she best explain herself, and quick.

Location: Walking out of the woods | With: Caleb - @Peachypants | Mood: Meh | Outfit: outfit

Harper wiped the crimson liquid off her lips. She dropped the dead animal on the ground and walked away without a care in the world. She dusted herself off and left the dark woods. Harper gave a small sigh, her body felt the warm sun on her pale skin. She hated her routine like she did everyday; feed, go to school, get in trouble, go home and repeat. For very long years she has done the same routine in order to be unnoticeable. Life as she knew it was unbearable. She flicked her dainty but strong wrist and checked the time "Fuck it" Harper thought as she watched a small girl walked to her classroom by her mother. Harper stopped for a moment and watched the scene, the child and mother reminded of her and her mother, her heart felt a sharp emotional pain and her tears welling up "Not now..." She muttered then wiped her eyes, trying to hold the tears back. She jumped into a rose bush and searched for her small leather rucksack.

After a few moments she found it and her black Penny skateboard as well. Harper rode her skateboard to school, her blonde hair danced in the wind as she sped along the pathway. Humming an old song she remembered backed in the 20s. Doing a small trick on her board she jumped off her board and grabbed it in mid air. Harper noticed her friend Caleb by himself like always, smoking his life away. Harper shrugged then followed her best friend, walking next to him through the gates "Hey" She said bluntly to him and gave Caleb a half smile which was rare. The friends sat down in the near the main entrance at a table. She took a cigarette from Caleb's pack and lit it with her own lighter. She formed her lips into a 'o' and exhaled, creating a straight line of smoke. Harper leaned back and crossed her leg, not giving two fucks about the people around her giving her strange looks. Deciding to stop people staring, she raised her hand a pulled out her middle finger only to be caught by Mr. Bowen. The teacher gave a loud cough and caught Harper's attention "Ms. Collins and Mr, Hall, my office now" He ordered and strode into the school. Haarper stood up and grabbed her rucksack and threw it over her shoulder "See ya" She muttered to Caleb and threw the I'm uncultured on the ground and stood on it, burning it out and followed the teacher into the Hell called school

Grunting, Carter groggily slid out of bed, the cool breeze biting his bare torso. It was an eerily quiet morning - especially when the sounds of his dad shuffling around downstairs was absent. Of course, Carter thought. It was a weekday, after all, and he was probably at work - doing CEO stuff and earning thousands of dollars by the minute. And to think that he was going to take his place someday. The thought seemed almost impossible, yet at the same time it was as if it was close enough that he could grab it with his mere fingertips. Shaking the daydream out of his head, Carter headed into the shower without further hesitation. He finished within minutes, and adjusted himself in front of the mirror with the clothes he'd chosen.

A yawn escaped itself from Carter.
"Dieu, je besoin de dormir plus tôt." he quietly said to himself as he ventured down the stairs. He sat himself behind the kitchen counter and started pouring milk into his dish, watching the little, round, sugar coated cereal float up to the creamy surface. He suddenly wondered what his dad's co-workers would think if they saw him eating Fruit Loops out of a Mickey Mouse bowl, enjoying it with such fervor like he was doing now. After all, they were his "mentors", as his dad had put it. He was supposed to act cool and professional at all times, even when there wasn't an audience around to laugh at his human mistakes. As he spilled a little milk on his shirt, however, he could not help but think that he could give less of a shit of what his supposed mentors thought. All he could really do was shrug.

Carter slid his phone out of his jacket pocket with yet another yawn, his half-open eyelids lazily scanning the screen. The expression on his face seemed to drastically change, however, when he spotted a text message come in from one of his dearest friends.

rapunzel
them
morning dork. wanna drive to school together?
me
only if my boyfriend is there.

He was referring to Carter Rosewood, of course - another friend he loved just as much as Valentine. Well, probably in different ways, but he didn't really want to go into all that this morning. Carter grinned at the thought of a certain green eyed blonde come over, and slung his bag over his shoulder as he tossed his cereal bowl into the kitchen sink. Suddenly, it seemed he was more awake then ever. Wide, wide awake. And dear God, did he miss his friends.

Ana had been awake for quite a while now. At this ungodly hour, there was bound to be no one around - save for vampires like herself - most of whom she clearly wasn't worried about. Most vampires she knew liked their peace, and if she actually had to fight one, well, she could protect herself. The voice at the back of her head seemed to say otherwise, however. Not unless it's an Alpha. it told her, almost slyly. She shivered at the thought. She should not be thinking these kinds of things - especially not right now. Ana wanted - no, needed - to feed, damn it, and she was going to.

If only school didn't start so early, she wouldn't have to be lurking outside the Slythorn territory at half past one in the morning. God, just the idea of attending that hellhole
again made her head hurt. If she hadn't been attending the same year in high school for over decades now, she probably wouldn't be so sick of it. And all these mortals call themselves "abused" for being forced to go to school just once. When really, nobody can get more bored than a vampire stuck in her teens having to repeatedly deal with the frighteningly sad school system and ignorant students. Over, and over, and over. Although Ana had been living in Slythorn for a while now, she'd only attended its high school for two years now. Last year, when she could still pass off as seventeen, and this year, as an eighteen year old in her senior year. She would be lying if she said she didn't like it this time around, though. It seemed she was blessed with good company for once, what with Jack, Jules, Violet, and a few tolerable mortals.

Ana's attention returned to the matter at hand, however, as she spotted a small deer taking a drink out of the bank. Ana had gone to a small forest outside of Slythorn to hunt, and now here she was, ready to feed. With agile, but steady steps, the girl made her way toward the creature and positioned herself behind it to feed. With a few quick movements, the deer was soon lifeless and Ana was soon making herself full. Once she finished, she wiped the remnants of blood off her body and changed into clothes that weren't stained with the thick, red substance. She could only hope nobody would be around when she got home, stinking of blood and death at the suspicious hour.

It seemed her prayers were answered. Her neighbors were all thankfully still asleep, and her alarm clock had just about started to ring when she entered her apartment. She checked her clock: it was still just four in the morning, so she had more than enough time to get ready. Ana took a thorough shower and dressed up, matching a pair of Doc Martens with her @Ambivert7501

in car/carter price's driveway | with her brother | humored

"Morning!" Valentine replied to her brother in a much more enthusiastic voice than her brother. She checked her phone screen every few moments to check if she had a new text. Valentine rolled her eyes at the comment of her brother. Valentine did actually like Carter romantically, but is too distracted by Jack to realize who she should really be with: Carter Price. Valentine didn't like to think about deep feelings, and mostly just brushed them away. Just then, her phone buzzed. Valentine swiped and unlocked her phone to see a text message from Carter. In her phone, his contact name was 'straight carter' with a star emoji. She read over the text, and smiled to herself. He always made her smile with his jokes. "Shut up!" Valentine said in a playful tone, throwing a kitchen towel at her brother. She would never actually tell her brother to shut up in a mean tone. She loves him too much. "He's my friend. Don't worry, I'm not stealing your boyfriend." Valentine chuckled a bit at her own joke, getting back to her phone. 'he's coming. no making out in my backseat. seeya in a few.' She hit send, chuckling softly at her joke, and put her phone in the pocket of her denim jacket."Don't whine. It's not cute." Valentine squeezed Carter's cheeks. She then walked towards the front door, picked her keys and backpack up, and walked outside with her little brother.

Valentine unlocked her
car, which is also her prized possession. She named her car Nicole, which is also her middle name. Valentine sat in the driver's seat, started up her car, and clicked a button to make the top of her car fold back. "No making out with your boyfriend in my car." She joked with her brother, nudging him. Valentine asked Carter as she began driving. Within a few minutes, she was in front of Carter Price's house. Valentine beeped her horn three times, hoping he would notice and come outside.

Looking down at her phone once again, Alice smiled and texted back a laughing emoji. She was approaching the school too, so made the decision to turn her phone off and put it in her pocket. "Finally here..!"

Alice completely forgot about the glass door infront of her while speaking to one of her friends, smacking her face right into it. It left a mark of her lips and nose. "Ahh,, that hurts." She said, rubbing her nose and brushing it off by laughing.

The bell hadn't rang yet-thankfully-so Alice made her way to her locker. It was fairly simple and didn't have a lot of piled up junk in it, like other peoples'. She could have
sworn she had saw a wasp's nest in the boy's locker next to hers'. It had a mirror and a spare pencil case inside, along with a pile of study books. What would she call it... Simple? Not a wasps' nest?

Caleb muttered under his breath as he let out another cloud of smoke. As guessed, he disliked school
a lot. Only good thing about it was that all over campus walked an immense amount of living blood banks. They were alive, and their blood was warmer than the ones he had in his fridge. He spotted one specific girl, a familliar one from way back in the days. Her name was Harper, like the heavenly instrument an angel would play. Only, she was no angel, no matter what her appearance might tell you. She was just like him, a gruesome beast who lives off the blood of others. The small smile snuck up on her lips when she approached him, and even a tiny spark in her eyes was lit. Her smile was so contagious that it caused him to smirk slightly as well. "Hey" he said by the time she sat down on the table next to him, parts of his raspy morning voice still remained. He didn't really move when she reached for the pack of cigarettes, allowing her to take one. "You know, every cigarette shortens your life by one day." He said in a sort of blunt yet sarcastic tone. Oh, the irony. They were both immortal, one day shorter life wouldn't really matter, and perhaps it was preferred by some. Caleb looked up at her face and smirked yet again and even chuckled slightly when she gave a finger to a bypassing student only to be caught by one of the teachers of this hellhole. Mr. Bowen, he was called. An old man that looked like Santa Claus on meth. White hair, slight beard and the bony fingers pointing straight towards the two vampires. His wrinkly eyes gave them the famous glare that would cause most people to tremble in fear. But not Harper, no. She was already up and about, ready for whatever punishment the teacher would give her. Caleb chuckled shortly and ran a hand through his dark hair. When he looked up from the ground again, his friend was long gone, vanished into the school building filled with lost teens.

Caleb tilted his head upwards, leaning his back on the tree behind him. He dropped the burnt out cigarette on the grass below him and sighed slightly. Looking back around campus, he spotted several people. Two of them being a couple of girls, vampires as well. How did he know? Well, he sensed it. One of them were reading a book whilst the other one curiously observed. Continuing to look around, he spotted Jack as well, and couldn't help but to mentally roll his eyes. Caleb grunted under his breath and got up from the table, his stomach growling loudly. But he wasn't hungry, he was thirsty. One blood bag to last him through the day was clearly not enough. Eyeing the crowd of students, he located one interesting girl walking on her own. He had noticed her before, but never had he cared much about her. She was mundane and her name remained an unsolved mystery. Her hair was the color of sand, warm and golden, and her eyes had the color of the ocean. Caleb smirked and headed towards her. Upon approaching her, he put on a smirk and ruffled his hair yet again. "Hi there, my name is Caleb." he said while locking his eyes with hers. "I want you to come with me." he said, and the pupils of her eyes got as big as a plate. She was under his Charm, and followed him willingly. Grabbing the innocent girl, he led her close to the brick wall and around the corner towards an old staircase that was never in use. Once he reached his destination, he spun the girl around and bent down for her neck. "Don't scream." He pierced her porcelain-like skin with his fangs and fed.

Vampires do blush. Why was that a question either? Jack was living proof. "Guess who?" As soon as he heard Circe's voice his muscles tensed - her leaning up against Jack didn't help either. His face shifted into a scowl and he turned his head away. "How have you been sweetheart?" He heard her coo to him. He didn't know why he always got tense around girls who he fancied. He could sweet talk anyone - as long as he didn't have genuine feelings for them. Before he could answer her question, she chirped: "Hey! Have you seen V?" V. Valentine. Jack had always thought that Valentine was cute, but he never considered her in a way that would lead him to fawning over her as well. Together they acted sweet; like a couple in a high school movie. He would flatter her and she would be bashful. If he flattered others they would be sheepish or just emptily flirtatious back. Jack admired this; he had gotten few of these reactions in his long lifetime.

"
No, I haven't seen her. She normally comes around a bit later," He mumbled, his face still red and pouty.

His eyes raised to find Caleb stalking another girl. Jack loathed Caleb. Not only was he another alpha; he was a freak. He stalked people down to feed - he didn't even know if he turned them or just left them to die and be discovered. He still thought that drinking from humans was wrong; especially people who are not aware of your existence. He supposed that an emergency's an emergency, but drinking - especially at school - is no emergency. He didn't know whether he should follow him or not. If anyone were to be caught then Jack could easily snitch on Caleb. Tear the bitch apart!

He turned his head back to Circe, the color on his cheeks dissolved. He let out a small sigh. "She hasn't texted you?"

After taking all the books she needed from her locker and taking out her gym kit, Alice shut her locker door and twisted the key around until she had heard a reassuring ' click' noise. "I have gym first period, so I should probably get going so I don't have to rush." Typical Alice. She wanted to take her time on things.

Waving her friends goodbye, the brunette slung her gym kit over her shoulder and walked around the back of the school-an old, abandoned place from many years ago- to go into the girl's changing rooms. But before getting close enough, the girl stopped in her tracks, peering into an alleyway with a stairwell in it. She had overheard something along the lines of 'Don't scream,' causing her to flinch. Alice took a few steps into the alleyway as her curiosity got the better of her. "Hello? Who's there?"

"No, I haven't seen her. She normally comes around a bit later, She hasn't texted you?"

"She did but I'm trying to surprise her. I guess she doesn't have a reason to come to school on time now that I'm not here." she said playfully. She saw the blush on his cheeks and smiled. He was a little distant but he totally liked her. He never really told her or anyone but it was like a guess you know.

She took out her phone and decided to text Valentine.
'Where are youuu?' she pressed send and flipped her hair.

"So before I cut you off I asked how you were doing... I miss you..." she said lightly and placed her hand on his thigh smoothly. She smiled at him and blushed a little bit herself.

She noticed a few girls staring at her and whispering. She heard 'Valentines Man' but it was probably nothing. Valentine and Jack didn't have anything... Or they didn't last year. However she was curious.

"Do you have anyone special in your life? Like a girlfriend...?" she said eyeing some students walk by. She looked back at Jack and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear.

Jessica Labeau

While driving, Jessica started thinking about the last seventy-eight years of her life, all of which she has spent as a Vampire. While listening to her music, she started thinking more about her first year as a Vampire. The Day she was turned in particular. Jessica herself enjoyed being a Vampire. There wasn't much that she missed about being a mortal. Upon arriving into the School parking lot, she placed the car into park before pulling the e-brake and then shutting off the engine. Grabbing her school bag and her purse, Jessica quietly stepped out of the car, heading off to the Library to read a Car Magazine that she brought, wondering what car she should buy next with the all the money she had accumulated over the passed several years. To be frankly honest, Jessica moved once every six to seven years, so that the mortals would not suspect something about her because she doesn't age or anything. It also helped that she often kept to herself unless she encountered other vampires. There were a few at the school she currently attended, but it wasn't like she was close to any of them. Right now, she wanted to join a Coven that accepted her for who she was, but she has yet to fill that void in her life. As she opened the Magazine, she started looking at some of the rare and exotic cars that were inside, trying to figure out which one was good enough for her.

"What are you reading?"

Violet jolted slightly, being too consumed with in her book to notice anyone coming. That, and people simply just didn't notice her much. She glanced up, seeing Ana had taken the seat beside her. She gave the girl a small smile, holding up her book slightly.

"It's called The Hermit, by Oliver Goldsmith. You've heard of it, correct? I never could get over the amazing tale, and the way each character was portrayed." Violet said as she admired the old book, whereas she has had it for decades now. After all, it was one of her favorite reads.

Carter Briar

tumblr_mtgre8aEvK1qbngkjo3_250.gif
Carter walked around campus, having time to spare. He mentally cursed, hoping his sister wouldn't bother chasing after him with the banana. He just simply was in the mood this morning- any morning, for the matter. He decided to walk around, and to waste time before he actually had to be productive.

As Carter was aimlessly strolling around, he saw Dakota at a nearby water fountain. He considered the nice guy to be his friend, as he barely even had anyone else to go to these days. It's rare to meet someone as sweet as Dakota, but no complaints were ever made.

"Hey there, Dakota," Carter said quietly as he walked up to the guy.

Dakota wiped his mouth with his sleeve before he heard a small "Hey there, Dakota,". The boy turned to see Carter. "Oh, Carter," He gave him a smile and raised his hands, holding the box. "You can open it on your own time. And you can take longer to try them, just tell me what you think eventually," He said with a small nod. The wrapping paper crinkled under his fingers.

He knew what everyone called him: Skinny Carter. He wondered what Carter thought of that; he always wore so many clothes to hide his body. How did he feel knowing that the demons making him wear layer upon layer even on the hottest days be the thing he's most known for? Dakota vowed to himself never to call him Skinny Carter, and to always address him by his full name if need be.

Dakota appreciated Carter. They were similar in many ways - both boys were quite frail. Of course, Carter more so, but they were both some of the most thin boys in school. Also, Carter hid his body. Dakota wore long sleeves every day to hide the tattoos on his biceps. He wasn't glad because of Carter's illness, but he was happy to see a bit himself in someone. Maybe that's why Dakota spent the previous evening baking low calorie carrot cookies for Carter. He wasn't sure if he should say that they are lesser in calories as he didn't know if it would help or do more harm.

"
T-they taste like carrot cake. If you don't like that, then I could make oatmeal. Or brown sugar," Dakota stammered. He didn't want to make Carter think that he was implying that he should go on an even more intense diet; he actually wanted to gradually introduce him to baked goods.

Donatello Cedric Garth | 3rd Person Perspective

A seemingly young man stared absentmindedly at the wall. He had woken up too early, again. That was normal nowadays though. When was the last time he slept properly? His mouth drew to a thin line upon coming up with an answer. Right. When she was still here. He shook the heavy feeling on his chest and sat up on the bed. From the slightly open blinds, he could see the dark sky, practically mocking him and reflecting his inner turmoil. For a moment, he thought back, reminiscing about his past life, before snapping out of it. It was over, there was nothing he could do about that. Sighing, he willed himself to stand up and get ready for another day of school. Another day of misery.

Donatello could hear his footsteps echo across the empty hall as he trudged towards the bathroom, his strides looking like they were practiced and perfected, his posture straight and his chin slightly tilted upward. He never really payed any heed to those who questioned his stance. They didn't know what he has been through, and he doubted that the mortals would even understand. He threw the door open. He took a shower, then dried himself, his hair still a little damp. He quickly dressed, choosing to wear a blue polo together with jet black jeans. He rolled his sleeves up and grabbed his rather light backpack before walking out of his empty household. No goodbyes or good lucks. Just silence, and the stare of the digital clock on the wall.

A gust of chilly wind went past Don, but he didn't make a complaint. It was cold, but it felt like nothing. His gaze was straight ahead, a small scowl set on his face as he headed to school. The road was lit by the morning sun now, and he had to hurry if he didn't want to become too vulnerable. He passed by other students on the way, most of them in groups, busy chatting with one another. Sadness flickered briefly in Don's eyes, his shoulders drooping a bit.
He quietly entered the school grounds, his satisfaction from his midnight meal long gone due to his broken mood. He was going to need a piece of paper, a pen, and—

He froze in his tracks, suddenly feeling his heart beat faster. His scowl lifted, destroying his supposed-to-be intimidating facade. There she stood. The girl that crossed his mind and never left his thoughts.

"Vivienne?"

Ana tilted her head, squinting at Violet as if trying to remember whether she actually had read it before. Maybe she had, but at the moment, she just couldn't remember a single thing about the book. She looked at Violet with a sheepish smile, "Truth be told, I really can't recall the tale. Especially since I'm not accustomed to reading Old English," she told her earnestly, almost a little ashamed at not having a better opportunity to converse. "Sometimes I forget you're older than me by more than a century," she added, laughing softly. Ana was inwardly glad that she didn't seem to be coming off as rude or plastic so far, but maybe it was Violet's own charm that did it. Sometimes she just got lucky. "But I'll be sure to get around to it. It honestly sounds lovely by the way you've described it."

Almost involuntarily, Ana checked her wristwatch. The hands told her that it would be a while before class would start, so the girl quickly looked up at Violet once more.
"Wanna walk to class? Or just.. around. We still have a few minutes to spare." Ana tried her hand at giving her a friendly smile, secretly hoping it didn't turn out to look like a grimace. It probably did, anyway, but hey, she was working on her people skills - so this was definitely some sort of progress on her part.

The grin appeared on Carter's face almost immediately when he saw the reply from Valentine. "not making any promises", he quickly typed, and hit send. It seemed almost less than a second after, however, that he heard the much awaited beep outside his house, and in turn, Carter made a beeline for the front door. He made a point of taking his sweet time walking over to Valentine's convertible and entering it, just to annoy her. He pouted as he slid into the seat beside Carter Rosewood. "Your sister doesn't want us to be together," he told him dramatically, making a theatrical pause before grabbing Carter by the collar. "...but I'll fight for our love!" He then proceeded to make kissy faces and noises at his friend for the next minute and a half or so before actually calming down and dropping the act, but still grinning like a fool right after. As he made eye contact with Valentine in the rear view mirror though, he smirked. "I told you I wouldn't be making any promises. Carter's just too irresistible."
