Character Creation Information
First of all, decide who you want your character to be.
You can makeup original characters; you can play your fourth-grade science teacher; you can even play yourself (not recommended for potential schizophrenics). The tabs here are to help you fill out your character sheet accurately and in a manner that you feel best suits your character! The basics are the name, age, gender, birth date, orientation, and visage. I figured that would be simple enough to not need explaining. If you do need it explained, I'll explain the things I figured you'd need to know: Age should be over 18, Gender is gender identity (it doesn't need explained here, it's not important unless it comes up IC for whatever reason), Orientation (not easy to explain, so I'll go simple as possible: you like girls or boys? Be as complex as you want to, but seriously bruh...), and visage is what you look like. I'd prefer a picture (anime would be nice, but it can be a real person, too) and I want it linked. Thank you.
The next tab gets into the next set of requested info on the sheet.
Please go to the "Mechanics" tab for a "simplified" version of the rules, and additional needed information.
Traits:
Characters have four Traits:
Brains
,
Muscle
,
Moves
, and
Cool
.
Each Trait is assigned a numerical value. The higher number a Trait is, the better a character does when using it. You have twelve points to allot among your Traits. You must assign at least one point to each Trait, and you may not assign more than five points to any one Trait. Once you've finalized your character and it's been accepted, the only way to add another point to your Trait is by spending thirty (30) Brownie Points for a single (1) point.
Talents:
Talents are areas of special ability within each Trait.
Each character has one Talent for each Trait. When your character attempts to perform a task that he has a Talent for, you get to roll three extra dice. Remember: the number following a particular Trait or Talent tells you now many dice to roll when attempting a task which uses that Trait or Talent. Pick four Talents for your character, one for each Trait. The Talents are listed in the other tabs, marked with each Trait they correspond with. (You can give your character a Talent not listed, such as Viral Oncology or Bike Riding, so long as I agree with it.)
Goal:
Each character has a goal:
love
,
soulless science
,
fame
,
serving humanity
, or
money
.
You pick your character's goal when you create them. I will award extra Brownie Points when a character achieves his or her goal. The goals listed above are simply examples, you can pick a different goal than the ones listed in the example, so long as I agree with it.
Brownie Points:
New characters each start with 20 Brownie Points.
After that, they earn Brownie Points as rewards when they succeed at their mission or achieve their Goals. Brownie Points are spent in one of three ways:
- When you're going to roll the dice to do something hard and you're not sure you can make the check, you can spend points before rolling so that you can roll more dice! You get one die for every point you spend! This can only be done before you roll, though.
- If you have thirty (30) Brownie Points, you can spend them and level one of your Traits by one point (permanently!!).
- If you've messed up so terribly you're about to die, you can spend all your Brownie Points to "rewrite" the scene so that it doesn't end so badly for you, but you'll probably end up in the hospital for awhile.
Now, you can spend points at any time - but you only gain points by completing missions or achieving goals. So make sure to keep track of how many Brownie Points you spend!- When you're going to roll the dice to do something hard and you're not sure you can make the check, you can spend points before rolling so that you can roll more dice! You get one die for every point you spend! This can only be done before you roll, though.
