THE FIRECRACKER has always been a force to be reckoned with, overflowing with creativity and passion. He pulled everyone he met into his orbit, inspiring them with the sheer power of his voice and commitment to his dream. THE HEIR was his biggest supporter and best friend growing up, as well as the one to introduce him to THE RELIABLE and THE DESERTER. Together they formed a band, spending the next few years working towards their big break. It was during this time that THE FIRECRACKER fell for THE DESERTER, only to have his heart broken when he ended things between them and left. The band fell apart shortly after and THE RELIABLE became a crutch for him as he descended into turmoil. Nothing that THE HEIR said could get him out of it. A year later, he struggles to look at THE BABY without wishing he were someone else.

THE HEIR had a business waiting for him after college, his path having already been laid out for him since childhood. Music became an escape from his suffocating reality, but in time it became less of a hobby and more of a dream. THE FIRECRACKER inspired him to set aside his parent’s plans and as a naive teenage boy, he really believed he could. THE HEIR has considered THE DESERTER to be a close friend and when he left, it felt like a betrayal. He became at odds with THE RELIABLE and his nonchalant response to the whole situation. What really solidified that everything was falling apart, however, was THE FIRECRACKER pushing him away. It was what hurt the most. He was skeptical when talks of reviving the band came up, but after welcoming THE BABY not only into the band, but his home, there was no more denying it. This was his last chance.

THE RELIABLE could be described as someone who had everything in order, seemingly perfect in every way. Beneath the surface, he struggled. Taking care of other people led to him ignoring his own needs, edging him closer to a breakdown. He was given an outlet when he discovered the drums, a way to express everything he was holding back. It was always a hobby for him, even when THE FIRECRACKER started a band. THE RELIABLE didn’t blame THE DESERTER for leaving, in fact he was the one who encouraged him to do what he needed. Although the others are unaware, his attitude still created tension between him and THE HEIR that lingers to this day. He’s been keeping a close eye on THE FIRECRACKER since the break up, but it’s caused strain on his own mental health. THE BABY is just another weight on his shoulders, as he seems to be the only one picking up on his unhealthy habits.

Born into poverty, THE BABY wasn’t planned and his parents struggled to care for him. He was wild and untameable, causing more trouble than anything else. Music became a conduit for his potential, bringing out a genius in him that was never expected. Unfortunately with the odds stacked against him, THE BABY ultimately ran away to Los Angeles a year ago and struggled to stay afloat. When THE HEIR found him playing on the street and suggested trying out for the band, THE BABY jumped at the opportunity. He’s since moved in with THE HEIR and is eager to befriend THE FIRECRACKER, blissfully unaware of his struggles. He has a feeling THE RELIABLE is onto him and is intent on putting on a show, he doesn’t want the band to drop him because of his demons. He met THE DESERTER on the bus ride to Los Angeles a year ago, but the two haven’t seen each other since.

THE STORYTELLER had a storm brewing inside of them, raging on until the rain came pouring out. He turned to music and song writing to express himself. He sang about love, heartbreak, his struggles, and sometimes even the moments of happiness. Others around him connected so deeply to his songs, he had a way with making it all feel so raw and real. THE SNAKE has been there with him through thick and thin, but together they can be toxic with their on and off fling. THE OLD SOUL was drawn to his music and with each other’s help they compose most of the band’s songs. It took time for THE DESERTER to grow on him, but now they’re steadfast friends.

A musical prodigy since he was just a boy, THE OLD SOUL has dabbled in a number of musical genres such as jazz and classical. Until he joined the band, metal or rock wasn’t really one of them. It’s been an adjustment, but THE OLD SOUL is surprised by how much fun he’s actually been having since he joined. He plays a heavy hand in composing the band’s music with the help of THE STORYTELLER and together the two create magic. He’s noticed THE SNAKE’s deceit for a long time now, but has no intention of allowing himself to be manipulated by him. He was the most welcoming of THE DESERTER, eager to pick another musician’s brain for inspiration.

Playing in front of a sold out show has always been a dream of THE DESERTER’s, rock music may as well be the blood running through his veins. He was eager to be in a band, but none of them worked out until THE FIRECRACKER finally brought everyone together. Yet at the rate they were going, it felt as though they would never make it. When THE SNAKE reached out to him, he was hesitant. He loved his band, but THE RELIABLE convinced him that he needed to chase his dreams. THE STORYTELLER was one of the first he wanted to prove himself to, now he’s relieved to call him a friend. He thinks THE OLD SOUL is brilliant and feeds off of his creative energy. He misses his friendship with THE HEIR, but he doesn’t dare hope to be forgiven. He’s thankful that THE RELIABLE has kept up his support, even if he feels guilty for putting him in the position he’s in. He met THE BABY on a bus to Los Angeles a year ago and wonders every so often how his life turned out in the big city.

  On the surface level, Wren is a seemingly uncontrollable ball of restless energy. He is constantly itching to get his hands on something and can be easily swayed to participate in 3am adventures to the Walmart two miles away. He cares deeply about others and what they have to say, but his attention span is painfully short. This can sometimes cause Wren to come off as rude as he fidgets or starts multitasking while someone's requiring his attention. He loves to laugh and make others smile. A great lover of memes and stupid jokes. Wren is also very impressionable, quick to indulge himself, and a bit of an adrenaline junkie. He is essentially a human ferret.
  
  More than that, Wren is deeply troubled. He trusts too easily and allows himself to be taken advantage of. He has little to no self respect and he is willing to do just about anything for money. This isn't to say that Wren is unaware of his faults and vices, in fact he is sharper than most people take him for. He knows how to hide his demons. It is simply that he lacks control on a greater scale and has fallen so far, he does not know how to pick himself back up. Wren is creative soul and has a deep appreciation for the world around him.   Born in Portland, Oregon, little Wren grew up in a low income household spending his days running around the mobile home he lived in. Wren was a handful as a child, always bursting with energy with little ability to focus on one thing at a time. In elementary school, his teachers suggested that Wren may have ADHD. It wasn't late until seventh grade that he was officially diagnosed with both ADHD and Dyslexia. His school counselor suggested a number of creative outlets for Wren to cipher his energy through, such as sports or music. When he decided on learning an instrument, a non-profit organization helped him acquire his first bass guitar. A slightly used Rickenbacker had become the second love of his life.   Wren became an older brother at six-years-old. When his sister Aspen was born, she had been the first thing he felt so completely in love with. He constantly wanted to hold her, take care of her, read her bedtime stories. When she was diagnosed with degenerative hearing loss at a young age, Wren split his time dedicated to music and started learning sign language in preparation for the future. He adored her to pieces, so when his relationship with his parents started to take a turn for the worse Wren was terrified of losing her. Despite his dedication to music and his sister, Wren could not get a grip on his schoolwork and often opted to skip class to go smoke cigarettes at the nearby park.   Wren moved in with his best friend, a nice kid who shared an apartment with his single mom and older brother. The elder brother, six years older than Wren, had helped get him his first job. He worked under him at a warehouse job. During the first few months, they grew close and Wren's vulnerability was taken advantage of. They began a secret relationship and Wren fell hopelessly in love. If he told him to jump, then he would.   It wasn't until Wren was eighteen and he found his lover in bed with another man that he finally ended things, devastated and feeling more alone then ever. He immediately fell into a rough crowd, using his body to pay for drugs, alcohol, piercings, and tattoos.   His hair is always styled in that messy boy-next-door kind of way. Giving him a charming and approachable look. Often, topped with a beanie on colder days or pulled back in a messy—half-up half-down—look when he's too lazy to get a trim.

  He also has an assortment of piercings. His left ear has a double helix he often wears with a small hoop and a standard lobe piercing that he styles with a longer statement earring. His right ear is somewhat empty, with only a small-hooped orbital piercing. Two lip piercings, one in a ringed left-sided labert, and another in a verticle labert.   Growing up with parents as impulsive and inconsistent as Asher's has honed his ability to sniff out bullshit. He spent much of his youth catering to the whims of those only interested in self-gain, a dynamic he eventually turned on its head by directly confronting those exhibiting such behaviors. However, Ash discovered that both approaches were incredibly draining. Now, he chooses to distance himself from self-serving individuals, refusing to engage in their antics whatsoever.
  
  Asher finds immense joy in theory crafting with music. Nothing beats the happiness that comes from a spark of inspiration transforming into something tangible. He dedicates hours to perfecting a sound, driven by an unwavering commitment to match it with his vision.
  
  Known for diving headfirst into new experiences, even if they prove detrimental, Ash relishes the thrill of the unknown. Whether it's the excitement of something daring or the rush of adrenaline from trying something for the first time, he convinces himself that he thrives in these experiences.
  
  Yet, beneath the surface, Asher grapples with his faults, unwilling to acknowledge that he may be no different from his impulsive and irresponsible parents. However, he questions the narrative—opting to portray his impulsive decisions as a testament to spontaneity rather than criticize himself for their true nature. His impulsive tattoos are brushed off as kindling his adventurous spirit. Similarly, his penchant for pushing limits in the party scene becomes a celebration of living life to the fullest.
  
  A chronic case of self-depreciation has led Asher to fall into an unhealthy relationship with fans. The idea that someone idolizes him or sees him as worthy of their time has led to him being addicted to his phone. He's so unaware of the constant validation that he craves that he doesn't see the issue. To him, he's sitting on live talking to fans because he loves social media and wants to show the band's fans he's grateful for their support.   With both of his parents committed to night shifts, young Asher often found himself alone. Seated in front of the television, he may not have comprehended the point of the shows, but the comforting voices provided solace.
  
  As the night wore on, a peculiar restlessness overcame Ash. The clock, though vaguely decipherable to him, indicated a time well past when his mom should have returned.
  
  Like many nights before—with the TV transitioning from standard programming to music videos—Asher, nestled on the couch, closed his eyes and allowed the diverse melodies to serve as his lullaby. In this moment, he discovered a profound comfort in music—one his parents had been able to offer.

  Ash had watched his parents spend money frivolously. Hobbies they would pick up and drop in an instant. Their house becoming more cluttered with items they didn't use or need, but swore they would pick up again one day.
  
  Asher couldn't complain it's how he got his first instrument. An electric keyboard his mother had picked up at a yard sale. The keys on the right side worked sparingly, but it was so cheap, practically a steal, she'd be a fool not to get it, she explained. Even though her fascination with the instrument only lasted a month, Ash found use for years after. Teaching himself how to play via tutorials on the internet and guidebooks borrowed from the library.
  
  After the piano was a guitar, brand new, forgotten in a closet not even half a year later. Once again, Asher found himself picking up the instrument, listening closely to songs, and replicating them to the best of his ability. Perfect pitch, a talent that could have taken him place, if it were properly nurtured by more than just how-to guides and videos.
  
  The last instrument was a drum set, a hand-me-down from a friend of a friend of his father's. Only this time it wasn't a poor purchase, but an actual gift for Asher. Maybe it was the sentiment behind it or the fact that he could truly get his frustration out, but the instrument became his favorite.

  Ash felt an unsettling anger churning in his stomach, intensifying as his parents wore the same bewildered expressions they always did. He acknowledged, with a tinge of self-blame, that expecting logic from them was a futile endeavor.
  
  After three years of diligent saving, he finally saved enough for a car, only to see it vanish in the blink of an eye. Their assurances that they hadn't "meant" to lose it all held little weight—this pattern of unintentional mishaps was a recurring pattern that never changed.
  
  Asher struggled against tears, knowing that the stalemate would persist. His parents refused to accept responsibility or offer reimbursement.

With his normally dopey and smiley face, people write him off as one-dimensional and absent-minded, but those who really know Momo understand that he wishes to keep the peace within himself and his band. As the STORYTELLER, he understands his words can reach people if they come deep from within; during writing sessions, he takes himself to dark places and it can be hard on him at times.   He was born minutes after his twin sister, Nina, on a Summer day in St. Petersburg. The family had a relatively normal start. His mother was from Kazakhstan, while his father was Russian, though they did not stay in the country long. His father was an esteemed professor at St. Petersburg State University, while his mother stayed home to care for two very demanding babies. His mother started to display symptoms of post-partum depression, along with a few other bouts of mental health issues. Since the mental health of women was not taken too seriously in St. Petersburg, the family decided to move. They needed the sunshine. They settled into life easily in Arizona (thanks to their father), and Momo and Nina had an engaging environment growing up. They were in many extracurriculars together, and wherever Nina went, Momo followed. Especially to the music. She was a beautiful singer, inherited from her mother, and due to inheriting his father's master of languages, Momo was a beautiful lyricist. Their tradition every week was he come up with words, and she with music. Their mother's mental health improved a little bit too, but it was a shaky ordeal. She was fine one week and an absolute wreck the next week. Their father worked a lot to avoid her, so Momo found himself being the rock for his mother and sister (who had quite a bit of drama with one another). Momo found himself having to walk on egg shells, as to mainly not upset his mother. There was a bit of emotional incest there -- and the scorned woman saw Nina as her competition. She did not outright hurt or exclude Nina -- just little comments here and there and a clear favoritism towards Momo. When the band was formed, she was the lead singer, and he was behind the scenes cranking out lyrics every other week. It was bliss.
  
  Until Nina started dating. Momo hated him. Everyone hated him. And when he did the unforgivable to her, she slowly faded from the front of the stage. He kept it inside, kept a brave face, but he despised himself for being unable to protect her. Momo and his parents tried to help her. She said she had been wanting a cat since she was young, and Momo gifted her a black cat named "Motya" to lay in bed with her. It worked for a little while, and during that time, Momo hit the gym. He got into boxing. He got stronger, bigger, better than he ever was before. He told his mother to prepare him protein-rich foods. Everything was looking up, everything was returning back to normal -- and then Nina decided to end it all. Momo and his father found her body in bed one morning. He remembers shaking her to wake her up, and he remembers his father's hurried footsteps to phone 911, and he remembers his mother's wailing. Everything else was a blur, a dissociative slideshow of monochrome and a funeral and black suits. No worries. The gym had been paying off. Momo hunted the guy down and now, he would be eating from a straw his entire life, but this is something he only confessed to THE SNAKE. Everyone knows probably, but they don't talk about it.   With that signature optimistic push from Momo, everyone found themselves in LA. He kept repeating it: we're going to make it big. Since the death of his sister, his lyrics have become more heartfelt and have touched crowds of thousands. He sees her sometimes, a crown of platinum blonde hair in the audience, or in the early morning she sits beside him while he puts pen to paper. He talks to her and tells her all the adventures they've been on and all the plans they're making. He has a lot of guilt for leaving his parents (mainly mother) in Phoenix (though his father encourages him to follow his dreams), and Momo calls them every day and sends them pictures through the mail every week of what they have been up to. Every time he gets off the phone with his mother, he feels awful due to her guilting him into coming home. She disguises her neediness as "worrying about him" and "unsure if he is eating properly", but Momo knows she just would like a man to care for her.   Alec learned from a young age that being a charmer gets you further than being an asshole. That doesn't mean he doesn't have his moments though. Seen as a mellow young man with a good head on his shoulders by those who don't know him, once you break the shell he's actually a huge goofball that loves to joke around and have some fun. He has a bit of a restlessness inside him that keeps him moving, which comes out in different ways, be that writing or showing up at your house at midnight and dragging you out to the middle of nowhere to escape the city to look at the stars.

  Alec grew up with absent parents, not because they wanted to, but because his mother was constantly ill, in and out of the hospital for long periods of time. His father worked multiple jobs to cover medical bills and keep a roof over their head.
  
  Many years of his early childhood were spent at the hospital with his mother, no extended family to watch over him and his father unable to pay for any kind of child care on top of their ever growing bills. Ever the charmer, even as a child, the nurses didn't mind him always hanging around.
  
  In middle school, Alec started spending more time in his empty apartment than at the hospital with his mother. He learned to fend for himself with the entertainment of cable television and frozen dinners. Though he wasn't particularly interested in any subjects at school, his Music Teacher took an interest in him when he noticed Alec took to music like a fish in water. He invited Alec to use his classroom after school whenever he wanted just to play around with the instruments he had, thus growing his fascination with guitars.   The beginning of high school also brought upon the death of his mother, which threw both Alec and his father through a rough spell. His father picked up drinking, and though he was home more often now he'd lock himself away in his bedroom, barely coming out to even eat. Alec felt an anger towards himself for not visiting his mother more, and took to taking that anger out on others violently. The few adults in his life, mostly teachers, were concerned where this new anger would take him.
  
  Then THE HEIR introduced him to THE RELIABLE and THE DESERTER. Having real friends with similar interests to his helped him find an outlet other than aggression. Music became more of a passion for him during this time, as well as the need to make a name for himself in order to feel like he could make his mother proud.
  
  That December day in 2016 where he hesitantly asked his friends to start a band that he was so sure would succeed would be forever engraved in his heart. Around the same time, he and THE DESERTER realized there was more between them than just friendship, and Alec felt like he could face anything with his band by his side.
  
  He still doesn't understand where it all went wrong. Why THE DESERTER left not just him, but their band, why they all drifted away so easily, or what he could have done differently. But he knows one thing: they were still a damn good band.   Any softness in Micah is carefully hidden from the world. Growing up in a home where softness meant weakness and weakness was met with cruelty Micah learned from an early age not to allow such things to shine through. Instead, he created a carefully crafted veneer, a suit of armor to protect himself. A sly smile, coy words and rarely revealing any of his true feelings makes up the Micah that most people know.
  
  He is quick to manipulate and lie to people to get his way. Just as quick to flatter and flirt as well. Whatever it takes is what he'll do. He knows he'll hurt people in his wake, but shoves the guilt down with the knowledge that this is what must be done. He refuses to trust anyone or believe that anyone is looking out for him besides THE STORYTELLER. This has created feelings of intense loneliness and jealousy as his actions and plans often isolate him and burn bridges. It is easy for him to be the life of the party, the face of the band or anything else that doesn’t require his genuine self. But should the time come where he needs to be open and honest, he withers and falters, becoming a mess of a person.
  
  Despite his many flaws, Micah is far sighted and goal oriented. If he makes a plan he will follow through with it and drag everyone else along with him. His leadership skills are middling, but he is good at leading from the back and supporting those with more tolerable personalities instead.   Micah was born to a set of parents who immigrated from Mexico to Arizona and became highly successful professionals through hardwork and determination. It meant he was born into a life of high expectations in a very strict and religious household. His life was highly regimented and old-fashioned, with any disagreement, back talk or deviation from the norm being responded to with harsh punishment. His father and elder brother’s patriarchal views on the world and how men should act making the once open and sensitive Micah an easy target for harassment.
  
  The youngest of three siblings, one would expect that he’d be able to get away with the most but that proved to be patently false. Instead Micah was being looked after closely by his parents and older siblings, he was under constant scrutiny to make sure that he fell in line. It felt as though they were trying to find every little mistake and flaw ( in their mind ) to pick on until they destroyed that part of him. To the point that at a young age Micah began consciously doing as little as possible in front of his family to protect himself. When that began to work, he doubled down and did all he could to create distance between them and himself.
  
  He was bright and musically gifted. Though only the former was ever focused upon. As soon as he was old enough he was put in after school classes to learn additional languages and take supplemental classes on other areas of study like math, writing, etc. When he wasn’t doing that, he’d be dragged to church instead. His parents allowed him to take music lessons, but only for proper instruments such as the piano and violin to start. It was only after much cajoling that he was allowed to have a guitar as well. Though the instrument was deeply frowned upon.
  
  It was through music that he was able to find the first person he actually wanted to let in, THE STORYTELLER. There was something drawing about him the first time that Micah met him and his sister, and he found he couldn’t stay away.   Over the years, Kai has blossomed into a hard-working, enthusiastic man. He is extremely dedicated to his music, and is dead set on making his dreams come true. The bassist is sentimental at heart.   Born in the suburbs of Florida to two teen parents, it was abundantly clear to Christopher that his father and mother did the best they could. His dad worked odd jobs while his mom went to school, and for the first two years, things went wonderfully. Years passed, and a summer fling became an overgrown nest of new discoveries. Young love cannot solely withstand the test of parenting, evidence revealing itself through late nights filled with irritated bickering and senseless arguments. These were confusing times for young Christopher, who saw both the youthful lovers and the irate partners. The young boy assumed it had to do with him, since the arguments would always happen on days where he misbehaved or touched something he wasn't supposed to. Chris yearned for them to be happy, but even trying to change himself wasn't enough.   Throughout elementary school, Kai's primary home was his dad's cheap 1-bedroom apartment that was a five minute walk from the beach. To most, this would sound like harsh living, but to a 10 year-old boy, it was a dream. Kai lived for the beach. He'd count down the minutes until the bell rang every Friday, knowing that he and his parents would go to the pier and eat pizza. A tradition his parents decided would help their son know that they were both there for him, and each other. Drives to school were filled with legends like nirvana, evanescence, metallica, and other rock bands blaring through the cheap speakers of his dad's beat-up truck. It was his dad who taught him how to play the bass, since that was the instrument he played in the rag-tag band he and his high school friends started. The young dad loved sharing his interests, and his son wanted nothing more than to be just like him.   The summer of 2012 was when the rug was pulled from under him. What would mark the end of elementary school, and the start of a new beginning, would instead shape itself into being the everlasting memory of Christopher's father's death. Everything after that was hard to recall for the eleven year old, who would from then on go by Kai and only Kai. The pre-teen was numb, especially after her mother insisted that they both move to Reno where they would be closer to his maternal grandparents. Despite the numbness he felt, he grew very protective of his mother, and the memory of his father. Somber sounds of the late dad's bass guitar thrummed through the walls of their home almost nightly, playing his dad's favorite songs as if they'd bring him to life again.
  
  Middle school in Reno was when he decided to try and form a band with his classmates. However, they never stuck. None of them felt like his dad's band did. No one could play their instruments right, and if they did, none of them seemed to care. This often left Kai irritated, not willing to come to terms with the fact that he cannot resurrect the dead, nor can he expect his friends to achieve the impossible. Through this desperate search for other musically inclined people, he met THE HEIR.   Freshman year. The year THE HEIR introduced him to THE FIRECRACKER. Kai had become much more introverted after the loss of his father, deciding to focus his time on his music and his studies. His grief dragged him inward, while THE FIRECRACKER's made him explode on others. THE HEIR respected Kai's aloof nature, leaning into it rather than trying to push Kai out. Meanwhile, THE FIRECRACKER couldn't help but thaw the icey shield the bassist build for himself, thanks to his sheer silliness and determined nature. The three boys helped each other, making music and bonding over jam-sessions. Despite this apparent bond, Kai knew that THE FIRECRACKER and THE HEIR would always be closer to each other than he ever would. After all, he couldn't contend with the advantage of time. It left the bassist feeling a confusing sense of jealousy.
  
  A year would pass and what was once confusing became abundantly clear. Kai had feelings for THE FIRECRACKER, and somehow, THE FIRECRACKER miraculously felt the same. Everything was perfect, especially now that Kai had finally found the band he had yearned for for so many years. Unfortunately, time proved to not be on his side. Dreams of success were smothered by gigs with no audiences, and odd-job shows that left the bassist feeling unfulfilled. It was a difficult and conflicting time, because he knew that he was meant for more than this. All of them were. Yet, no one seemed to feel the same. How could THE FIRECRACKER be so optimistic when it was clear they were heading nowhere? THE RELIABLE was the only one who listened to his concerns. Kai wouldn't dare tell THE FIRECRACKER his feelings, for fear that it would shatter his heart. He had already been through enough, and Kai loved him too much to drag him down with his pessimism.
  
  Secrets led to distance, and eventually, one fateful call led Kai to make a decision that he still wonders was the right choice. He released THE FIRECRACKER from the chains of their relationship, and said a bitter goodbye to his former friends. His heart aches at the loss, but Kai knows that he cannot have it all.   Henrik has never once hesitated to point out flaws or areas that require improvement, though this is often done without the consideration of the feelings of those involved. He simply prioritizes results and efficiency over emotional baggage. And as a result his way of communication is often direct, and straightforward. Often coming off as abrasive and cold to those who don’t know him well enough. He has been quoted in the past to be a bit of a hard-ass, prior colleagues of his found him difficult to work with due to his attitude. Though it is not without warrant. Due to his approach on these matters it has allowed him to advance in his field surprisingly fast. After all, a no-nonsense approach is highly respected when you can also back it with the ability to get things done. He is a dedicated and goal setting individual, often looking at the bigger picture while still managing to figure out the details in order to paint the best possible story. His cold demeanor only helps him to ensure he can achieve his goals as efficiently as possible. Though, despite his seemingly detached personality- Henrik is genuinely easy to get along with. He passes the occasional joke, along with a bi-weekly motivating speech. And takes extra steps in remembering birthdays- along with important meetings, doctor appointments, interviews, the list is endless. If you can get past his icy exterior there’s an alright guy beneath the surface.

  Throughout his early childhood Henrik would feel the weight of the expectations his parents placed upon him. From a young age, he was groomed to be successful, to surpass any achievements his parents had accomplished. To excel in academics, participate in various extracurricular activities, and always strive to be the best became ingrained in him. After all, it was all he was. His parents pushed him relentlessly, and Henrik allowed himself to be molded in any form they wished. After all they were the perfect model of a nuclear family, and he couldn’t possibly tarnish that image for them. Though despite the constant drive to meet his family’s expectations it was all rather- suffocating. He found it hard to maintain the facade of their “perfect son” and as he made his way through college he finally had a taste of that freedom. He yearned for something more, something meaningful.
  
  
  At the ripe age of 19 he picked up his first cigarette and never looked back.
  
  
  As he ventured into his career, the pressures and responsibilities of adulthood only intensified. The glow of success and accomplishments quickly began to fade, replaced by a restless cycle of seeking his next fix. He pushed away relationships, and buried his own personal dreams to accomplish a future he deemed worth living. One that he could choose for himself. Business Management simply fell into his hands, and he took rather quickly to taking on the mantle of his predecessors. Cold and judgmental, his bitterness and resentment towards his parents bleed out within his work. And despite his crude and emotionless remarks, it somehow managed to get him a promotion. And he was soon hired by a record label. He had managed many bands in his time, still somewhat new to the scene. Telling someone that they have no real talent and to get back to practice wasn’t hard. Days turned into weeks, weeks turned into months, and months turned into years. The pursuit of happiness became a mere whisper in the back of his mind, now replaced with realistic goals instead of fantasies and actual achievements. Every record sold, each solo artist and single recorded and recognized only brought more merit to his name. And the allure of that success was enough to push The Manager to where he was today. Calm and collected, he agreed to the terms of his upcoming contract, signing away on the dotted line to monitor and manage a new and upcoming band. Despite his skepticism, this band felt different then the projects he was assigned before. And with a young and fruitful band in the palm of his hand, he planned to mold them to just as he was as a child. Perhaps this band was his way to the limelight, a chance to make a name for himself.   Born to a single mother in Phoenix, Arizona, Eli grew up accustomed to an empty house. His mother was an escort who more often than not preferred spending nights staying over at her client’s fancy places, and in lieu of her presence at home, she’d leave Eli $20 on the table for food and an endless leash of freedom. This meant Eli preferred spending most of his time out with friends instead of alone at home, though because he didn’t like speaking much about his home situation, most people just assumed he was a social guy.   Eli continued being a social butterfly throughout his teen years and high school, but he harbored dreams of getting out of the city and leaving everything behind for a fresh start. It wasn’t that he didn’t treasure his friendships—quite the opposite, in fact—but he just wanted so badly to move out of home and live on his own. And why not a completely new city while he was at it, for a true fresh start? Away from his mom and their small, stuffy house?
  
  Eli worked part-time jobs after classes to save up money so he could dip as soon as he turned 18, though at school he continued to be the chill, easygoing, and witty guy people knew and loved. It was at one of these part-time jobs that he first encountered the concept of DJ-ing. At the local bar, where the owner was kind enough to let him wash dishes in the back, Eli befriended the DJ working there. It piqued his interest how such a complex-looking machine could produce an endless assortment of sounds, music, and remixes, and for the first time in his life, he grew a passion for something other than making money.   As soon as Eli turned 18, he was out of Phoenix. He wasn’t sure how to bring up his departure to his friends for the longest time, however, and ended up only doing so at the very last minute. Nonetheless, he packed up whatever little belongings he had, all the money he’d saved up from his part-time jobs, left his mom a short goodbye note on the kitchen table, and took a one-way flight to LA.
  
  Eli was enrolled in both marketing and musicology at UCLA. School was busy, but he determined that his specific fields would both help him start pursuing his producer/DJ dreams as soon as possible. In his spare time, he practiced producing music and remixing songs in his own style, then began uploading them onto Tiktok and Instagram too. It was a year later that one of his remixes blew up on Tiktok and became a trending sound, drawing masses of interested people to his account—and that was the beginning of it all.
  
  Eli gained followers in hordes. After people checked out his page wanting to see the person behind the music, they demanded more: they wanted to see him. And Eli gave them what they wanted. His content switched from pure music production to include his lifestyle—vlogs, cooking videos, behind the scenes content of him working on music, fashion, collabs with other brands or influencers, everything. By the time the initial dust settled, he had garnered 3 million followers on Tiktok and a large platforms on Instagram and Youtube as well.
  
  However, with his online growth, Eli’s fanbase expanded out of his control, and soon his eyes were opened to the downsides of fame. Some fans became so obsessed with him that they were stalking him and waiting outside his apartment, while in turn, haters were doxxing his address and phone number while being extremely vocal online that he’d crawled his way to fame simply because of his looks, not his talent. He also quickly lost count of how many people approached him only to use him to social climb instead of for genuine friendship, and it suddenly felt like the whole world thought it knew who he was, even if all they saw was what he chose to put online. People assuming he grew up rich, assuming he was an asshole because of the way he dressed, assuming this, assuming that. What would it have been like if he’d started his Tiktok as a faceless producer, like Marshmello? He often wondered. Could he have achieved the same amount of attention for his music while dodging the cons of fame, or would he never have blown up on social media in the first place?
  
  It wasn’t that he was ungrateful for the success; not at all, especially since it provided him financial security and helped him pay off his student loans. He now had an audience for his music production and DJ-ing too, and with any luck, he’d be able to pursue that seriously in the future. It was just that throughout it all, he’d become so jaded about the whole influencer lifestyle. As ironic as it was, Eli’s trips back home during the summers to visit his friends became the breathers he needed outside of the intense LA grind. Of course, him being him, he hid his grievances from his friends as he always did. He didn’t see any point in complaining when he was already “successful,” especially when Deathlore was trying to get itself off the ground too. Back home, he always went back to being the Eli they all knew: still bold yet easygoing, still smug and teasing at times, still ambitious yet reliable.
  
  Honestly, Eli saw his past self within Deathlore whenever he went back to visit. All of his friends were just as motivated as he was at the beginning, and clearly they had the talent to back it up too. And even though he’d been in such a rush to leave his life in Phoenix behind four years ago, nowadays… being around them felt arguably better than his life in LA. Personality Overview - Upon first glance, Roman's appearance leads those around to believe that he would be the source of problems and chaos that often enveloped him. A face that screams 'trouble' and 'no nonsense' were what he was often told. In actuality, he was the calm tree that would often weather any storm that whipped around him. He was the bridge that allowed others to close up gaps that often exposed their differences and inability to get along with different types of people. His own personality tended to be much more muted compared to his friends that were constantly around him. If they were large celestial bodies, Roman saw himself as nothing more than a dwarf star in their presence. The passion his friends displayed at all times of their lives were bright colors that threatened to flood the canvas of their band while his own input was nothing more than the simple shades of black and white used to highlight and bring out a needed depth from the shadows. He never felt it necessary to make a big deal out of it and had gotten used to putting his emotions on the back burner of his mind to be dealt with at a much later and inconvenient time aka never to be consciously dealt with.

It wasn't a role that he actively chose for himself, he often found being a median for people to be a true pain in the ass. Growing up the as the eldest child had already required so much of himself. A brother, role model, caregiver, parental figure, and a protector were what his parents had deemed him. Never just a son that should be allowed a simple youth that became more and more of a fantasy that his own reality would never achieve. In the back of his mind, a small seed of disdain for his siblings had sprouted but his instinctual caring nature wouldn't allow it to fester. He truly loved his siblings and would have given all of himself to guarantee that they never grew up the same inadequate feelings. Glimpses of a less compressed Roman would occasionally pop out

Backstory Overview - The Duval's were a relatively well-off family that consisted of a father that practiced emergency dentistry while the mother was a psychiatrist. Being the first born often resulted in Roman being overly showered with love and attention when possible. His father's schedule was usually scattered as he was in charge of any emergency cases and would be on the clock at various hours of the night. his mother had more time to be present with Roman and his father spent all of his free time with his family. Truly a picture-perfect family that always appeared as a unified front.

He was 6 years old when his parents had excitedly told him that he would become a big brother. At the time, there was nothing more exciting at having a little sibling to play with especially when most of the kids around him had siblings of their own. When the news officially broke that they were having triplets, Roman had thought that this was as good as it could get. From an only child to having 3 new friends to grow up with. It was a painful realization when their entire family structure seemed to flip completely. Having 3 premature newborns was a plague that left the Duval's bonds poisoned and weak. The constant all-nighters, Roman being told how much he was needed to help out and take care of them, and the way Mr. Duval would overcompensate by taking as many shifts as possible while those around them knew that it was never about the money. Neighbors often talked about how he left to give himself some semblance of peace as all three babies had colic. It put an enormous amount of strain on their marriage, and they had often argued over splitting up. Talks of divorce settled after they managed to get through the tumultuous first year as a family of 6.

Roman became the eldest of 4 and it was something that became painfully obvious throughout his important developmental years. The always fun-loving boy was replaced with a child that took on the role of protector that was thrust upon him. He developed traits of anxiety as he often worried about his siblings falling ill or some horrendous accident taking place that would harm them. They were essentially his own children that he had to raise over the years and it made the disdain for his own parents even stronger. There were so many things that he simply was not allowed to do because the younger children took priority. Any afterschool sporting event or extracurricular was solely dependent on if his friends parents would be able to give him a ride. Highschool was supposed to be different once Roman obtained a license, but he just became the family Uber for the kids. Instances of him lashing out and getting into fights during that time period were becoming more alarming. He avoided any additional time spent in the presence of his parents as it made it that much harder to keep up the facade of well-kept son. He'd often find himself staring at his mother and wondering a woman that had helped so many in her profession was unable to notice that her own son was drowning right before her eyes.

Getting involved with the band was one of the best and worst events to ever happen to Roman. He had always had a fondness for drums since that was one of his first meaningful presents that he received from his father around the age of 12. He knew it was simply his way of apologizing for being a shitty father that ran away from his responsibilities and hid at the hospital. At first, Roman would randomly beat his own frustrations into the drums as his own form of therapy. He soon realized how draining that was on himself and that following a rhythm or having a song in mind seemed to brighten himself up internally. Of course, he didn't think that the band was going to be anything serious when he mulled the invitation over, but he'd leap at the chance to not be tied down by familial threads.

Now here he was once again being the pillar of support that his friends would always be able to rely on while keeping a paternal eye on them. Even though they were all of similar ages, that inner nagging that forced him to be in control at all times never truly died out, it just changed targets. Whatever he felt unable to express in words he channeled it into his drumming. A few people were awed at the range of emotions that Roman was able to elicit from an instrument that had often been synonymous with only rage and overwhelming emotions. Another shot, another chance is what was asked of him even though the strenuous relationships around him gave the impression of this becoming a futile journey.
