    Tousled, half-hearted waves and curls are often parted on the side, the length showcasing the growth of a previously had pixie cut. Locks hang at eye level more often than not, only occasionally brushed off the forehead, but nevertheless the hair falls almost perfectly at all times.

    Billowy button down blouses and wide-legged trousers are a staple in the Zuka member's wardrobe. Fun prints and fashion on the more masculine side - though not averse to feminine attire - it's quite noticeable that Hotaru enjoys keeping up with trends and loves accessorizing on the regular. When opting for a more casual look, she can often be found comfortably dressed down in jeans or joggers with a simple shirt and maybe a slightly styled jacket. Hanako can come across as timid or shy towards strangers, but she is simply withdraw, afraid of letting her true personality show for fear that it will be ill-received. Until she has a chance of warming up to someone, she remains distant but polite.

She is fairly decent at masking her emotions, which leads others to believe that she is calm and collected but in reality, she is just able to hide how she is truly feeling.

A kind-hearted soul by nature, Hanako's empathetic tendencies lead her to lending a helping hand whenever she is able and she is unable to turn away from a person in need of help.

She can be quite gullible at times, which when combined with her empathetic nature, can lead her to being fooled by those with ill-intentions.

Hanako can also be a bit of a perfectionist; she tends to be very hard on herself when she is unable to complete a task to her satisfaction and she has a bad habit of comparing her accomplishments (or lack there of) to the accomplishments of others.

Due to her masking her emotions at times, instead of confronting her negative emotions in a healthy way, Hanako bottles them up until she is eventually overwhelmed by them.

history









Hanako was born the youngest into a family that owned a very prominent shrine. The Choumi name was well-known around the region and the shrine halls were never empty. Hanako's two older sisters were free to do as they please, but as the youngest daughter, Hanako was expected to assist at the shrine and as such she had little time to make friends or pursue other interests.

For as long as she could remember, Hanako has never been good enough in the eyes of her parents, constantly being compared to her two older sisters. It came as no surprise when she enrolled and was accepted to Garden Grove; that was all in the name of following in her sisters footsteps. The Zuka Club was the next logical step as both of her sisters had been members prior to their graduation.

Though she initially joined as a means of pleasing her parents and winning their approval, she has started to enjoy her time at the club. But despite her smiles, she fears that one day they might see her for what she is: nothing but a fraud desperately trying to gain the approval of her parents, that she's not as successful as the siblings that came before her.

Club Merge

Being a new-comer to the club and the college in general, Hanako doesn't have much information to go off of regarding the rivalry between the two clubs besides what she has been told by her two older sisters who had both been members of the Zuka Club when they were attending Garden Grove University. Despite that, she doesn't despise the idea of the clubs working together in order to preserve both of the organizations at the school.

    Yuki stands tall at 188 centimeters (6 foot 2 inches) with a skinny frame. His medium length hair is dirty blonde and usually styled down, but when acting as Ren he styles it up instead. His eyes are an exuberant shade of blue that get hidden behind emerald contacts when playing Nakano Ren.

    When preparing to act as Ren he
    applies makeup to himself, going for a natural but slightly more rugged look complete with the facsimile of a 5 o' clock shadow.

    Yuki usually dresses simply yet stylishly, something that won't draw to much attention but is still pleasing to the eye. When performing as a host he dresses in a more attention grabbing way, usually in outfits that match the bay boy persona of Nakano Ren. His pierced ears are usually kept empty when not acting as a host, otherwise he wears a pair of onyx studs

Wakuda Tadasuke (和久田 忠資) is the enchanting son of Wakuda Rokuro and Wakuda Chika. Anyone from the Oita or Ehime prefectures would recognize the name. WAKUDA Group is Japan’s largest aquatic supplement tycoon, and the whole family resides on a private island in the Bungo Channel.

Tadasuke is a self proclaimed “Bishōnen”, which is annoying because he’s completely correct. His hair is silken black, with navy highlights that make his head look like a slice out of the night sky. His dark eyes watch his surroundings with an air of gentle authority. His skin is dewy and soft, and pale like milk. He is beautiful in an effortless way, which is ironic because Tadasuke spends most of his time tending to his appearance. It certainly appears to be worth it, as it seems everyone is constantly vying for his attention.

Tadasuke is the heir to the Wakuda fortune, and as such, has been receiving the most prestigious education possible. He went to Ouran Academy, and he is now attending Garden Grove University to earn a degree in Inorganic Chemistry and Computer Science. A double major is nowhere near easy, but it is expected of him to accelerate the family’s wealth.

All this pressure wasn’t destined to lay on his shoulders. Tadasuke’s older brother, Orochi, was meant to carry the torch of the Wakuda name. But then there was the accident. No one likes to talk about it, so little details about it are known. But one thing is clear: Tadasuke is the new golden child.

Now, it’s up to Tadasuke to live up to everything his brother was and was supposed to be. If it distresses him, or if he couldn’t care less, no one could tell. Tadasuke is as unreadable as he has always been.

PERSONALITY
Tadasuke is meticulous and calculated, and that has gotten him far in life (along with the modest help of his expansive wealth and controlling parents). In the words of the collective, ‘frustratingly perfect’. He manages to be assertive, gentle, charming, and intelligent all at once, which has earned him his role as VP of the Host Club.

Yet, he’s not nearly as put together as everyone believes. He’s an avid perfectionist who can’t take things going wrong—at least, not in a healthy way. His anger is thinly veiled by his façade of stoicism, but his two-faced remarks and selfish nature peer through on occasion. His good looks are the result of his obsession with vanity and outward appearances. As a result, he's not able to express himself in a normal way.

He's only in the Host Club because he sees it as something someone like him would do. Speaking of; he resents being the VP of the Host Club, as he knows its because he lacks something the President has—and he wants it—but would never deny his loyalty to the program.

There are plenty of viable concerns about his character, but no fear—if he’s forced to get out of his comfort zone and face his problems head on, he has the potential to be a genuinely great man. If not…

OPINION ON THE MERGE?
Depends on the context. If the Zuka Club has its funding revoked, he’s all for playing prince charming to save the girl’s club. However, if the Host Club has its funding revoked, he would much rather opt for ANYTHING but having to be rescued by the Zuka Club. But that's just principle—if the President wants to merge, Tadasuke is against it. If the President doesn't want to merge, he will reluctantly agree with the idea. Essentially, he plays into his gender roles, and the only thing that can override that is his desire to one-up the president.

    Albinism runs in Mizuki's family on their mothers side, so the dark-haired Mizuki has always stuck out even among their own family. When their mother was younger she was very self-conscious about her pale skin and white hair. Their father dyed his hair white in support of her, and it has been that way ever since. Since their younger siblings both inherited Miyuki's albinism, Mizuki is the only member of the Oboro family with Fuyuhito's naturally dark hair. They like to dye it different colors from time to time, but usually have streaks of pink mixed in with their natural black hair.

    Their eyes are natural emerald green like their father's, but they often wear different colored contact lenses such as pink, purple, and red. They have poor eyesight, and prefer wearing contacts over conventional glasses.

    Mizuki is the shortest person in their family standing at around 155 centimeters (5 foot 1 inch) tall, and packs an impressive punch despite their small size and fairly scrawny frame.

    They dress in a wide range of clothing, from skirts and dresses to suits to leather jackets and torn jeans. At school they usually wear the male uniform top with the female skirt and a thin black choker.

    Kyo and Kotori are pretty identical. They could easily pose as one another and no one would be the wiser....well they could if it wasn't for their height. Kyo is 5'5" and Kotori is 5'3".     Manami has dark brown, almost black locks, and takes care of her hair on a daily basis with a night routine followed by a morning routine. This causes her hair to be silky soft with the least amount of dead ends. Her hair goes down past the shoulders, and is normally wavy unless Manami styles it.     Standing on the shorter side of 5'5" doesn't stop Mo from carrying herself with a small bout of confidence. Most days, she wouldn't go as afar as calling herself confident, she doesn't like bringing that kind of attention to herself. Dark brown hair flowing just past her shoulders in wild, yet soft waves prove to be the perfect contrast with the icy blue of her doe-like eyes. She's always liked having curtain bangs, as she's learned to style them to match whatever her mood may be for that day, or even tuck them under a baseball cap if the day calls for it. While she has a motherly personality, that doesn't stop her from her from having a good style; Her color scheme blending together a mix of pastels with complimenting dark colors & her wardrobe spanning the likes of dresses, bows, embroidered jeans, even flowy button-up shirts.
