Fantasy Under The Watch

Connor had exited the brawl after a few moments, and was now waiting in the corner of the room. Most were fighting, one or two were staying out of it, one was trying to escape... chaos. The captain of the guards was already down for the count, with a broken arm as well. The non-humans were winning, but that all changed in just a moment. An explosion came from outside, causing a few guards and at least one non-human girl to be thrown into the tavern and into the back wall. Most of the tavern inhabitants followed, crashing into the back wall. People were crushed by other people, guards were knocked out, some even killed. Connor had barely ducked under a tree-person when it smacked against the wall. The inhabitants of the tavern all looked up to see another 50 guards pour into the tavern and all raise crossbows. 20 fired, killing multiple creatures (and some guards). One of them started yelling, just as the captain had before. "All of you, stop! I will make my men fire again if you do not cooperate. We are looking for seven people. If you would come forward when I call your name, you will be spared. Sebastian Briarthrone, 'Lock' and 'Key', Evette de la Mare, Connor Dorian, Aimee Guerrero, and Keira Avon. Step forward, or you, and everyone else here, will be killed."

V flinched, hearing her actual name. That meant it was time to listen, she guessed. She couldnt ignore someone knowing what to call her by. It seemed others were adressed equally formally.

Ice creeping off of her and returning to her normal blonde, milky pale state, she stepped forward. She was still very on guard. Cold eyes gave silent signal for some non humans to listen and be calm. She walked forward and gave a guard a sharp smile, saying in a surprisingly mild, silver tongued voice, "aye, Im de la Mare." She said, then examined others to see if anyone would step up as well.

It was a much less gruesome solution than to permit slaughter by hiding, and should they act she was prepared to attack. Her eyes scanned the faces, searching for recognition. Lock and Key sounded odd enough. And Avon sounded familiar somehow.

Despite her bleeding, Aimee stood up as if pulled by the sound of her name. She tore off a piece of her dress to tie around her thigh to stop some of the bleeding, opening the tavern door she walked in not caring about the arrows aimed at her. Her bag had been dropped by the door and she made sure it wasn't near any living thing because if anyone touched it she would go full demonic.

He hair flowing the color of blood maroon as she sat down on the ground beside V, the guard that had yelled glared at her but she indicated her leg so he smirked and went back to waiting for everyone to step forward. Aimee leaned on her right arm as she looked around waiting to see who else will be the guards victims.
