John has yet to find or meet his birth parents. He was given to an orphanage as an infant, and this is where he grew up. Other than this, his childhood was normal, and he was reasonably likable, with many friends both in the orphanage and out. When he came of age, he had to leave, and sought his birth parents. In an age of heroes and villains, each with their own powers and agendas, there was no telling what had happened to them. He looked, but never found, any information on them, until the day some was dropped on his lap - or should I say in his chest. One random, normal day, he was bestowed the ancient power of The Flame, also called The Fire, the Forge, and The Red. He had no clue who gave him this power, but there was a burning feeling inside him that it had to do with his mother and father. Eventually, after painstakingly learning that this power leant him certain unalienable skills, he sought the tutilage of one Captain Strong, Opal City's greatest defender, who had the powers of incredible strength and durability. For four years, Benny learned and honed his skills as Strong's disciple and sidekick, helping him take out many a baddie along the way. One day, his nemisis, who Benny had never heard of or saw, killed Strong where Benny was unable to help him. This death hit him hard, as this was indeed the first loss Benny had experienced in his short life. Now, Benny has made it his goal, his purpose, to hunt down and destroy the man who had killed his teacher and, in many ways, father he had never had.

Personality: unlike most samurai he isn’t calm or collected. He’s wild, unpredictable, savage, the only thing he desires is the forge, a power he has stolen from many warriors, making him almost invincible.

Akuma is best described as a dark figure wearing a black cloak. It's head is always covered by a hood that casts an unnatural shadow over it's face, obscuring it and leaving nothing but a dark void. Beneath the cloak, it covers itself in an 'armor' made out of pure shadows that reflects no light, with fingers sharpened into claws and occasional wisps of smoke separate from its body, although they usually banish not long after.
Background:
Very few people know Akuma's identity, and those who once knew the story behind it are long dead. Akuma is very intent in it staying that way.
Personality:
Akuma is difficult to speak to. At some times, it is as talkative as any other person, at others, it simply ignores the ones trying to speak to it. Akuma rarely engages in conversation with those it considers beneath its attention, and has little empathy for the plight of others. It takes no pleasure from the suffering of others, but cares little about them, and even if usually calm and collected, Akuma is not beyond anger.

Akuma is what some would call an umbrakinetic. It can manipulate- and in some cases, even create- shadows. It can shape them into several forms and shapes, and even give it a physical form similar to glass- brittle, but sharp.

Many Mixed Emotions: pure white/black entity with neon prism colored eyes (ever changing). Her hair grows and turns to a grey color that flows almost as if it were underwater. She emanates waves of power that are colored to indicate the emotions that fill her at the time.
Overwhelmed : a pure grey figure with no expression, blank white eyes with a round head, almost seems motionless. She doesn't know what to think and/or can’t process what is going on around her. She is immune to physical harm, but she is frozen in fear. Can happen after an MME outburst.
Abilities~ Can morph into almost anything (but prefers a human form), can go into people's mind in order to communicate with them and feel/attempt to understand their inner pain. Can control and shapeshift hyper dense nearly unbreakable metal with his mind. He can create and destroy seemingly as much of it as he wants so long as he remains conscious. He can also feel the metal. He also can see things around him without looking in its direction up to 15 ft.
Blade resistant, bullet resistant, heat resistant, cold resistant and pretty much immune to physical damage due to A very thin, wire framework that he has around himself
Has metal shape-shift abilities that he can use for both offence and defence. Examples: melee weapons, assault wepons, sharpened hand claws, chainsaws for arms, metal defense orb, shields
His metal passes through itself like it isnt there when he has 2 objects
Can make anyone armor and clothing out of his metal if he wants to, but can easily take it away as a joke
Flaws/weakness:
Hates screeching noises due to the possibility of losing focus and having some of his metal melt, however this rarley happens due the mental training that he has done from the time in his life.
He also has another weakness, though he has kept it to himself for years. If he does come into contact with his weakness, he goes into a coma and wakes up with amnesia due to amplified effects on his brain.
Personality: hes a little goofy, and is pansexual (meaning he doesnt care about appearance so long as he likes someone’s personality) he may make random jokes on the spot if hes in the mood at other peoples expense, but he means no harm. He is the heroic type, always has been.

He was thought to be normal for a majority of his life. (He had honed senses, but it was basically just amplifying everything he sensed and he had no distinction that it was different from others)
He always had a heroic side. As a kid he grew up wanting to be a hero in a family full of villains. He was kicked out of his home at the age of 15 after his father didnt want to deal with him anymore after he lost his leg trying to stop one of His colleagues.
Then he met her. The love of his life, Amber. They had a child together at the age of 18 and raised it safely. Samuel gave up becoming a hero for his daughter because he wanted to be around for her. Though sadly there was a house fire that supposedly killed both his wife an daughter. He tried to pull them out but to no avail. All he did was badly burn his arm in the process and it had to be amputated.
Now crippled, he spent his days as a chef. He loved to cook and he loved to eat. He used his good arm fencing as a hobby. Though one day he got trapped in the freezer and lost his other leg (again it had to be amputated) at the age of 22.

2 years later, now with just an arm and a stool with wheels, he had to give up his careers and lived in a home where he was taken care of by an ex hero who was getting on in ages.
One day he was eating a meal, when he wished he had a knife to cut his steak with and suddenly there was one there. (Floating and just being a knife) he was ecstatic about this and wondered what else he could do with the ability. Within a month he discovered that he could use his newly found ability to create limbs for himself.
He was told that his ability was extraordinary and if he wanted to be a hero, he could. So with the help of the old woman (who called herself Etna), he applied for and graduated a police hero training academy.
He learned all of his basic abilities using metal arms and legs during the first month that he needed them. All other abilities except the ones mentioned as new at the exact moment they are used were learned during experimentation over the last four years at the academy.
Now he is new to being a pro hero, so he doesn’t exactly know everyone, though he tries his hardest to help when he can
