2 Positive Traits:
Protective, he will put protecting those in his group above himself.


Friendly, when talked to he will be polite and attempts to answer to the best of his ability.


2 Negative Traits:


Simple, (I think this term is the correct one) he'll answer questions but he won't volunteer information. For example: If he knows that the roof is weak and about to collapse, but you ask him if the floor is safe. He will confirm that the floor is safe.


Contrarian. When there is a decision to be made he will usually take the other side, just for the sake of getting an argument going.


Weaknesses: Blood. The sight of it could cause him to faint. (Yes even during combat encounters.)


History: Although never shared with others he grew up at the Umi Temple as one of the most gifted of apprentices. His skills with the temple's artes gave him much praise, and caused him much distress. Never being able to fit in he took the opportunity given by the fact that he needed to do a pilgrimage to escape from the temple's radar. Ever since he changed his last name to Kuhaku and went about to do whatever he liked. Although at some point reality got thrown straight into his face. Looking for employment he joined at that time a random band of mercenaries, hiring out his skills as a spiritualist to keep others safe. This band happened to be the Nohrad Swords

Description: Spiritualist are considered Pacifists. Instead of beating their opponent into submission with force, they focus greatly on discouraging action by overwhelming them with impenetrable defenses and a wide assortment of healing and sealing techniques.

Description: (Originally invented by priestess Marielle Mizumi of Umi Temple) A sphere of water will flow around you or targeted ally. While active it will absorb all physical attacks or the next arte, after which it disperses. If the arte lvl is greater than 2 then the sphere is dispersed but the attack not prevented.

Name of Arte: Geiser


Type: Sealing (SEAL)


Description: (Taught to adepts of the Umi Temple, it is unknown who created this arte.) The floor of the targeted location will sprout out a burst of water, throwing anyone within a few feet up into the air. A single cast can launch up to 150 lbs into the air. So a really heavy person might not be thrown up into the air. Effect: speed penalty -2. No damage.

Name of Arte: Wall of water (Waterfall form)


Type: Defense (DEF)


Description:(Based upon the geiser technique, his grandmother invented this technique. He was forced to learn it.) A stretch of water sprouts in the air and starts raining down with such force that it knocks those in it's path to a side of the wall. The direction of the wall is of the casters choosing. The wall prevents anyone from seeing clearly to the other side, as well as physical projectiles from passing through. It is possible to force yourself through the wall, but quite unpleasant. Unless countered, by for example a lvl 3 arte or higher, the wall lasts at most two posts of the caster. The gm (Shin) may determine, when there is little posting going on from the caster, that the arte ends in his post.

Type: Support (SPT)


Description: Strong winds start blowing in favor of your allies. Those affected by it gain +1 speed and +3 EVA dice.

Type: Healing (HEAL)


Description: The target is showered in healing waters. Their wounds are covered by a layer water which assists the body in healing itself. The target recovers 5 hp.

Combat class description: Those who train at the Umi Temple on Tetsu Island gain training in using the elementals. There are two different flows of teaching that exist at the Umi temple, the first is the main school. Their focus lies on defense and support, although it also contains a few offensive abilities. The second would be the branch school. Their focus lies on defense and healing, although it also contains a few support abilities. Most of the abilities taught are water based, but there are a few air and lightning based techniques. People of the main school are also known as priests, while those of the branch school are known as clerics.

Because players can now land several physical attacks, we should let it absorb all physical ATK DICE.


As for artes it should be fine.

This Type should be SEAL because you are affecting opponents mostly and not allies. SPT is for allies only. Make the speed penalty -2 Speed level

Name of Arte: Wall of water


Type: Defense (DEF)

A wall of water sprouts up into the air knocking those in it's path to a side of the wall. The direction of the wall is of the casters choosing. The wall prevents anyone from seeing clearly to the other side, as well as physical projectiles from passing through. It is possible to force yourself through the wall, but quite unpleasant. Unless countered the wall lasts at most two posts of the caster. The gm (Shin) may determine, when there is little posting going on from the caster, that the arte ends in his post.

Cost: 18 SE


I will allow the wall to stay up for the amount of posts you stated, of course a strong ATK arte can take it down before it's allotted time.


Arte level 4


Name of Arte: Gale


Type: Support (SPT)


Description: Strong winds start blowing with or against the targets. When moving against the wind your movement speed is reduced by two. Those heading with the wind gain a speed increase of one.


Elemental: Air


Price: 20 Token points


Cost: 24 SE


Again because you marked it as a support type, it should only affect your allies. The Target should gain +1 speed level and +3 EVA dice.


Arte level 5


Name of Arte: Lightningstorm


Type: Attack (ATK)


Description: (Unlike all the previous abilities this is the strongest of the attack spells taught at Umi Temple. To use it you need access to the elements air, water and lightning. Although the effect only makes use of the lightning element.) As the name says a lightning storm forms, it takes two posts to fully form after which the caster can determine where the lightning will strike. Both the original casting as the activation of the targeted strikes is an action limited by arte usage. If the caster has the ability to target multiple enemies, then he can target them with a single cast. The drawback of this is that the arte lvl required to counter the strike is lowered. 1 target is a lvl 5 arte, 2 targets is a lvl 3 arte each, 3 or 4 targets is a lvl 2 arte each, 5 targets is a lvl 1 arte each.


The arte can be cancelled to regain 10 SE, the cancelling takes time and also counts as an arte usage. If the arte is countered in an earlier post, then you cannot cancel it by stating you were just a little bit faster.


Elemental: Lightning


Price: 25 Token points


Cost: 30 SE


It's a bit much to allow all the Targetting options even for a level 5. Let's keep


1 target = lvl 5 arte / normal casting


5 targets = lvl 1 arte each / SE costs +5 the total amount.


That way I feel better about circumventing the Target tech.

I've updated my sheet with your remarks, ended up discarding the lvl 5 arte and replaced it with a healing arte. Otherwise I couldn't get all the types correct. Also changed combat class to a default one because I ended up with 4 arte types instead of 3 arte types.
