Realistic or Modern Trouble at Lebeau

The school

The Academy

Just outside New York city, is a school known as Lebeau Academy. It was founded in 1978, by Jerome Lebeau who wanted to create a school for young, brilliant people. Of course, there are those whom come into the school based only on their parents money, but they are a minority. It’s top of the class in most things, such as technology the students can use, in the shops available to the students, and to everything they may need. There’s regular trips into New York City for the students who wish, and the reigns are quite loose. Those under the age of 16 are required to follow with a teacher during these trips, however, once a student is 16 or older, they may mostly travel on their own. However, as the school is run a bit different, students can chose to stay after their fourth year, as a form for internship, and deepen their experience and knowledge of their chosen area.

Curriculum

Rather than having normal classes past the age of 16, they work on projects together. The first two years at the Academy works mostly like at a normal school, where they go to classes at specific times, do homework, work on their projects, but they gradually have less and less structure in their lessons, rather having that the students and the teacher agrees when the lessons are, and will be. From year 2 at school, when the year students turn 16, they can choose their own subjects freely*. They can chose to have scientific subjects, they can chose artistic subjects, and so on. It’s few limits on exactly what the school allows of such. Instead of lessons, the students get projects. Their teachers are available 24/7, but there’s no steady lessons they need to show up for. They often end up in groups across the directions and ages, between 3 and 10 students, for each project, which may last between one week, and six months.

*Freely among the currently offered subjects.

Then to the plot

Then we have the roleplay itself. At four pm, our students wake up at the school. Everyone else has left the school for the weekend, either to visit family, or to go to New York City and stay there for the weekend. Whether they had planned to, or not, was not their choice. For at some point during the night, someone had slipped gas into their rooms, causing them to sleep through all the noise that other students created. But around four PM on friday afternoon, they all started waking up. Their phones all with a little message. ‘Hope you slept well. -G’.

The phone service was cut. No one could message out. No one could call. The internet was no longer working. The only ones they could call, was those within the school. Each other. Of course, they could all try to call up the number that was texting them, but that was no use in, for the call would only return to their own phone. But the one message, or the gas, that was not all that would happen to these students this weekend.

No, there’s a lot more waiting for them from this G, and he, or she, is going to enjoy it.

(Short said: The rp starts off with the characters stuck in the school, where a crazy person is playing games with them. They’ll have to try and survive the weekend, and then go through the week where they aren’t believed by teachers. The question, that is very up to the characters is, are they going to create a bond, and try to help each other through this weekend, or are they going to go against each other, and try to harm each other? How will things go? Will they find G? And what happens when the weekend is over?)

Don't use more than 4 days between each reply. If it ends up being a week or more, I may message and ask why.

Stay IC on the IC thread, and OOC in the OOC thread. Keep questions, normal chatting, ect. In the ooc thread, and not the character sign up one.

Follow the normal RPNation rules.

No damn mary sues. Your character will get pushed, mentally and possibly physically.

Keep drama out of the OOC. Create drama IC, go ahead. Please.
