Fandom Trial and Error Character Creation

Here you can create original characters and claim canon ones. :3 Note that details like perks and movement speed won't play as critical a role in the roleplay as they would the actual game. It's more just to get a feeling for what the character is like.

Canon Characters:

There is a brief character sheet to fill out even for canon characters, though it's just to get an idea of what their motives in the roleplay will be like.

Name:

Other: (Optional)

Name: The Wraith (Philip Ojomo)
Ambitions: The Wraith is quite simplistic in his desires. He merely wants to escape the hellish realm of the Entity.
Other: More may be added to this later.

Name:
Brad Wolfe

Age:
30's (?)

Gender:
Male

Race/Ethnicity/Species:
Caucasian/American/Mutated Human

Personality:
As a result of being mistreated and abused as a child by his mother, the Zaniac possesses a pathological hatred for women, especially the attractive ones. He seeks to slay any "pretty-pretties" he can get his hands on with his "Knife of Love".

Weapon:
Fists of Hate

Strong arms for those who deserve nothing more than the blunt force of hate, rather than the refinement of his knife.

Perks:

Improvisation (Beast of Prey)The Zaniac's lust for a kill is so intense that his connection with The Entity is momentarily lost, making him totally unpredictable. Upon gaining Bloodlust, he becomes Undetectable for as long as Bloodlust is active. "Not this way-- you're scaring me! You're really scaring me!" - Unnamed Actress
Nightmare of Hate (Brutal Strength)The Zaniac's great strength allows him to shred through his prey's defences. Breaking Pallets and Breakable Walls, as well as damaging Generators, is faster. "Here is the warren where they hide... the place where all the pretty-pretties think they are safe from the Zaniac! But they're wrong!" - Brad Wolfe
Fate's Decree (Enduring)The Zaniac is resilient to pain. The duration of Pallet Stuns is reduced. "Any normal mortal so struck by Mjolnir would lie still for hours. But the Zaniac, fate has decreed, is no longer normal."

Power:
Knife of Love

He closes his fist around a conviction of fire, burning in his mind and his heart. He believes in the rightness of the blade, in its stark inevitability... and etched in the flicker of radiation--it is so. His hate, reborn, is now ready... awaiting only its victim.
A knife, formed from radioactive fire, to cut away the pretty masks of women and reveal the scheming evil underneath. The Zaniac can unleash a volley of blades with uncanny ferocity.

Movement Speed:
4.4 m/s

Ambitions:
Kill all the pretty-pretties.

Background:

When Brad Wolfe landed the titular role in the slasher film "Zaniac", he thought his big break had finally come. A struggling actor, looking to make a name for himself, Brad believed that if he lost himself completely in the role, if he was totally convincing as the Zaniac, it could be a stepping stone to bigger roles, bigger parts. But there were rumours on set, hushed voices that suggested there was another reason he was so psyched up. According to a few members of the film's crew, Brad experienced a similar childhood growing up and he actually identified him with the film's killer.

Brad sat in his trailer for several hours, as layer after layer of makeup was meticulously applied, muttering to himself as he mentally prepared himself for the role. He was an escaped lunatic. The asylum was torture for him. He was put there for the mass murder of fourteen cheerleaders. He hated all women, especially pretty ones. When he was a child his mother mistreated him. He could remember the darkness of the closet. And the hate that built inside it, the hate that would someday explode. And now he was out of the closet, out of the asylum, and the hate had to explode again. All the pretty-pretties had to die. The Zaniac craved blood. By the time makeup was finished and he finally stepped outside his trailer, Brad almost believed he truly was the Zaniac.

As the camera's rolled on the set of the University of Chicago, Brad chased the actress portraying the "luscious co-ed" across the sports field, knife in hand. But Brad, too caught up in the moment, abruptly deviated from the script, chasing her towards the bleachers and, unbeknownst to them, towards some explosives hastily hidden away there for a future scene. A thoughtlessly discarded cigar from a disgruntled passer-by did the rest.

The spectators were the lucky ones. They suffered mere injury and oblivion. But fate had a special destiny for the star of its drama-- one strange eye on Brad Wolfe, and the other sinister eye on something called the Zaniac.

The locale was chosen deliberately, of course, for its visual appeal-- for its "superb evocation of an old-style university," as the cost-accounting sheet put it so quaintly. It was only a coincidence that it was also the site of a momentous "birth" some decades ago. Only a coincidence that this relatively minor explosion echoed the withering legacy of mushroom blasts spawned by Project Manhattan under that very ground. And only a coincidence that the fantasy of the film would soon be dwarfed by a nightmare of reality...

Catching the full brunt of the blast but somehow remaining conscious, Brad hurtled into the flames and stumbled through unearthly heat rising from broken ground. Finally he halted, wrapped in a lingering trace of what was euphuistically called "heavy water," revisited by the long dead ghosts of uranium. The explosion, you see, had truly freed the hate and fate's two masks, strange and sinister, now interacted around the unbalanced core that was named Brad Wolfe.

Suddenly, murky tendrils of black fog rose from the ground, mixing with the smoke and fire of the explosion and he suddenly found himself in a forest. The actress from before was gone but there in front of him stood another woman, her clothing torn much like the "luscious co-ed" who had tried to escape him. Brad frothed at the mouth. The hate had to explode. All the pretty-pretties had to die. The Zaniac craved blood!

On the surface Trunks may look like you and me, but on the inside, a dark future has forged him into something much more. His past lies in the future, an alternate timeline twenty years from now, in a world like just are our own but also vastly different. Razed to the ground by powerful beings that no one could hope to match, the survivors lived in fear and despair of their murderous, twisted intent. With all it's defenders gone, his world's salvation now lay in the past, in a time where these malicious machines slept dormant and humanity still had hope. With the help of his mother, Trunks travelled into the past within a time capsule, seeking a way to change this frightening future.

Waving his mother goodbye, the capsule lifted off into the air and was quickly swallowed by an iridescent light as time and space fell away around him. Seconds become months and minutes turned to years as the time machine journeyed into the past. However as the young time traveller drew nearer to his final destination, he could see through his glass dome, the brilliant light of time slowly ebb away, replaced by the murky tendrils of mist and fog, as the capsule began it's descent.

Landing in a small clearing within a dark forest, Trunks opened the hatch of his mothers machine and stepped out, the sound of dead leaves crumpling under his boots. Looking around, the young man was taken aback by his current whereabouts. This wasn't where he was supposed to be. Had his mother miscalculated? Had he arrived too late?

A scream in the distance pulled him from his confusion. Running through the mud and blackened trees, Trunks stumbled onto an all too familiar scene as a group of Survivors ran from a nightmarish foe, bent on their destruction. This may not have been the right place or even the right time, but right now, it didn't matter. What the androids did to his world was all too real and he promised that would not be repeated here!
