Tobazu is a hardass on most anyone he meets, constantly jabbing them whenever the opportunity arises. Luckily, he can receive the treatment he dishes out very well, but it doesn't take much for him to start resorting to blows. His aggressive behavior could be attributed to his past or some other unknown variable, but one well-known fact is that his indefinite rage only furthers the reinforcement of his resolution. Seemingly unbreakable in willpower and with a burning urge to grow in strength, Tobazu will train his body to its limits and back, injuring himself only to begin anew the next day. This Pokemon will throw himself in the thick of things for the sake of fun and a good bout, without even a second thought on whether or not he should have come up with a plan beforehand. He does, however, recognize the threat Shadows pose and will more often than not avoid them for his own good. When not going at it with someone else, Tobazu could be considered a team player as he will listen to the one he dubs 'leader' without hesitation, carrying out their every whim with the obedience of a well-trained dog.
Background
Tobazu lived a very normal life for a wild Pokemon in the Sinnoh region until he was captured by a group of human trainers. Although the capture of Pokemon may be considered a rather harmless activity, this particular group of 'trainers' had nothing but horrible intentions for him. Along with numerous other Pokemon he was auctioned off as a prize fighter and forced to live out the rest of his days underneath the thumb of his cruel master. He was beaten savagely in the name of discipline and trained to extremes, leaving him on deaths doorstep more than once in his lifetime. Although he never evolved during this time, he steadily grew stronger and stronger. 'Made, not born' being the motto of his master, Tobazu was, over time, worked down to nothing more than a blank slate ready to be rewritten, his past memories wiped away through the borderline torture he was made to endure. Built back in his master's 'glorious image', Tobazu was thrown into the pits and made to fight for his life. There was no room for error in a place where a tamed Pokemon was more savage than his wild counterpart. For the next six years, he would be placed up against opponents three times his size and made to fight with every ounce of strength he could muster. While he lost just as many fights as he won, some would argue more, he managed to stay alive long enough to see the sun another day, although not as he would have hoped.
In the middle of a fierce bout, fires broke out all throughout the region as the Shadows descended like birds of prey. During the ensuing confusion caused by the invasion, Tobazu found himself tasked with leading a group of fellow fighters to safety and escape, a task he begrudgingly completed. After splitting up with them not a moment too soon, as they were attacked by a group of Shadows not long after his departure from them, Tobazu focused his efforts on escaping the region and finding a more hospitable location to reside in.
