Backstory: 


Titus doesn’t really remember his parents.  He has a vague recollection that they were adventurers of some sort.  They spent much of their time traveling, seeing the world and making discoveries, leaving their son to be raised by an elderly aunt.  The old woman was hard, but not unkind.  When she felt he was old enough, she began to train Titus in the arts of magic and her own particular branch, alchemy.  Titus spent several years under her tutelage, grasping the basics quickly and learning some, though not all of the more advanced techniques.  But due to his aunt’s reclusive nature, he never really got the hand of social interaction.  He’s not unable to interact, just kinda bad at it. 


Sadly, at the age of 15, his world was shattered.  His aunt died.  He’s still not sure what happened exactly.  Whether it was old age, illness, the chemicals or something more nefarious, he cannot be sure.  But, he knew he could not stay.  Untrained and unsure his parents would ever return, he left, hoping to find a place of his own. 


A year later, staved and half dead, he stumbled through the door of Fairy Tail.  The members too him in, nursed him back to health and slowly began to aid him in overcoming his shy nature.  They aided in his education where they could, trained him as a mage, and inducted him into their numbers.  He made friends slowly, but those he has have remained firm and continue to grow. 


 


Personality:


Titus is extremely inquisitive.  He tends to spend much of his time either researching, exploring for new ingredients or working in his lab.  While not a total shut in, his social skills are slightly weak, making him awkward around people he does not know well.  He has several close friends among the guild, but his shy nature mean he is rarely the first person to be considered for anything.  As such, he has had to work extremely hard to achieve his current rank.  He can be a tad bitter about this at times, but rarely lets it go too far. 


 


Strengths:


·         Combat: Titus is an excellent support mage, able to enhance the abilities of his allies and deal with larger groups of enemies himself.  In a pinch he can also deal large amounts of damage, but rarely uses this ability.


·         Non-combat: Outside of combat, Titus is an expert researcher, being well versed in the study of magic, biology and technology.  He is also a decent field medic.


Weaknesses:


·         Combat: The nature of his field of study mean that, except for extreme emergencies, he has difficulty dealing with enemies on his own.  Even in those rare emergencies, he is as liable to injure himself as others and has little close up combat experience.


·         Non-combat: Titus shy nature makes it difficult for him to deal with strangers, forcing him to rely on others for many social interactions.  His knowledge, while expansive is quite specialized.  Finally, his medical skill is only enough to deal with moderate injuries.  Anything serious requires someone with true ability. 


Magic Type: Alchemy:


Has three flavours [I've left room for development here, since he's supposed to be half trained.]


·         Ictus Grenades


o    Forms the backbone of his combat magic. After creating the correct compounds, he seals them in air tight metal canister.  When charged with a small amount of magic, the shells detonate causing the chemicals to react.  These reactions usually generate large elemental effects, similar to those found in other magics.  While powerful, Titus has relatively little control over them once detonated.  As such he can easily injure himself or others that are two close to the effects.  Because of this, these compounds are extremely risky when used in close quarters or against smaller groups of enemies. 


§  Glacies- One of his most basic formulas.  When detonated, the grenade creates a small scale blizzard, freezing anyone in the area in place. 


§  Ventus- More advanced, with a smaller area.  It has two versions.  The first [Cyclone] draws people into toward the detonation point.  The Second [Gale] blasts them away from the detonation point. 


§  Tempests- The most advanced of his current formulas, it has the smallest area of effect.  When detonated, it generates a bolt of electricity that arcs from person to person.   


·         Reficio Darts


o    A more focused form of alchemy, Titus uses a blend of steroids and poisons to support his allies and hurt his opponents.  By using a specialised dart gun, he is able to target friends and enemies at range, ensuring he can aid them without getting too close.  However, this form has little direct combat ability, beyond weakening enemies, limiting its use during solo fights. 


§  Sano-An emergency health potion and mild stimulant. 


§  Papaver- A strong anesthetic, useful in and out of combat.


§  Incitamentum- A steroid, it grants a temporary boost in speed and strength.


§  Corruptionem- This poison causes temporary muscle decay.

 


·       Tempus  Mutatur


o    An experimental form of alchemy, Titus has yet to gain more than a basic knowledge of the ability.  Using mutagens, he can temporarily alter his own physical form.  As this magic is new to him, he has yet to alter more than small portions of his body.  As it is, this form enhances various traits, but with extreme consequences.  The transformations are extremely draining, and massively limits the body’s ability to repair itself.  As such, Titus only uses these magics in dire emergencies. 


§  Hydra [Location forearms] - Generates large claws and thick green scales to the elbow.  Increases speed and strength dramatically.  The scales are thick enough to deflect bladed weapons.  However, reversion typically fractures the arm bones and tears the skin.  Healing can be boosted when tended to, but it is still slow. 


 


Wizard Class: [Would you prefer we all start at the bottom and work up?  Wasn’t super sure about that]


B-Class


Currently gearing up to attempt to advance to A-Class


 


Weapon: A dart pistol.  It allows him to administer Status chemicals at a distance, giving him a more subtle ranged option and ensuring he can aid his companions from a distance.  It has no capacity for lethal [i.e. bullets] and serves merely as an extension of his alchemy


 


Proficiency: He is an above average marksman, but is only trained in the use of this weapon.  He has little to no experience with bladed weapons or other guns. 


 


Miscellaneous Items:  


·         Bag of holding: Used to carry most [though not all] of his concoctions.  Also contains his field kit.  While not as extensive as his lab, it does allow him to create potions in a pinch, thought they are less effective than ones produced in his lab.


·         Hidden pouch of chemicals in case of emergency. 


·         A few texts on medicine and plants.

@Ichorblooded I just wanted to add a few details in for the magic, what kind of attacks he has.  Maybe flesh out the backstory.  But this is fairly close to the finished product.  Any changes will be small.  Well, ideally.


I'd have added more to it by now, but I'm a bit caught for time with assignments.
