Continuing the long trek of life
So everything up to the end of the Steven Universe show is where this takes place. This is if the the movie didn't happen(Because I haven't seen it).
Another planet has been found, this time by Blue Diamond, that is inhabited by humans. These humans are working with home planet, scoping out new planets for them to create more gems, while the gems provide them with a trickle of technology. This balance has been kept for thousands of years and the humans appreciate the relations they have with the gems. However, things have gone bad.
Within the last year, there have been obvious gem weapon attacks on human cities, harbors, and even military outposts. The attacks are coordinated and no one is left living. There is no evidence as to who it is yet, but this is causing tensions between the gems and the humans. They have begun to limit where gems can be and when they can be there, which is irritating the diamonds. Blue, however, understands the concern and has decided to follow along.
Yellow believes that blue is being a pushover and should just wipe the humans from the planet- after all, she can just visit earth for other humans. She has suggested this several times, all times have been shut down and both yellow and white are thinking that she is being naïve, much like pink diamond was. Despite this, the other two diamonds have respected blue's domain so as to not cause internal fighting.
2 days after Blue Diamond had shown up, another military outpost had been destroyed by a group of rogue gems. This naturally turned blame to Blue as the attack hadn't happened until she had shown up. As humans grew to distrust the gems, they were confined to smaller areas around the world and were not allowed to pass through checkpoints without a validation from Blue Diamond herself. 6 months later, the human world declared independence from the gems, claiming the planet as their own. This angered Blue diamond, but again she understood their needs.
Once news reached Yellow Diamond, she took matters into her own hands and after another month assembled a team of specialized gems. They were to have full authority over any situation regarding gems on the human world and were to obtain peaceful negotiations when possible. If it were not possible, they were to keep casualties to a minimum for Blue. They touched down at a teleporter built by the gems on the human world, ready to take on any challenges that came their way.
