Tamari has the lavender-colored skin and dark purple eyes of her race as well as their characteristic thick, white hair. She usually wears them in a single braid, though when it's down, her hair reaches her waist. She is tall, as is most of her people, standing at 5'8. She has a slim, but muscular built, and has a cold and unsmiling, yet good-looking face. She wears her soldier's garb almost always and carries her father's green, Emerstyn (rare, magical gemstone) sword at her belt.
Biography:
Tamari hadn't always wanted to be a soldier. Her father had perished in the city's prison, incarcerated for murder, while her mother "provided" for her family by teaching her children to thieve and pickpocket. When her oldest sister was badly beaten up in the town square by soldiers, after being caught with a rich merchant's purse, Tamari decided that she wanted a better future for herself.
As soon as she was of age, she enrolled within the city's army and through hard work and unwavering determination, she worked her way up the ranks to become one of the most well-reputed female soldier. Though her family shunned her for the way of life she had chosen - as they saw soldiers and all authority as enemies of dark elves - Tamari was able to buy them a house and provide for them.
While there was discrimination towards her within the army, Tamari never allowed it to get to her, believing that with time, she might become proof of her race's good qualities. But once the war broke out, Tamari got into fights nearly each day, having to defend herself from those who blamed her kind for the war. It is in this setting that the dark elf was chosen to defend her town, pairing up with a human assassin.
