Catherine made her way through the halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was between classes, Potions and Care of Magical Creatures. She held her books close to her chest avoiding eye contact with those around her, it felt like everyone knew her secret... Of course they didn't though, but Jeffrey Parkinson knew... What if he spread it? Catherine was almost hyperventilating with fear, but tried to hide it as she made her way towards the outside where Professor Hagrid was standing with Sixth year Gryffindor Louis. She froze slightly, he was the best at Care of Magical Creatures... Damn it. He must be helping out.

[[We'll act like what happened in the old rp occurred, so Louis knows]]

It may have been his open class, but Louis was still content with participating in Care of Magical Creatures. Sure, some older students in the same year may have opted for spending time in the library or common room, yet the Weasley chose to help out the great, burly Groundskeeper. With his hands in the pockets of his trousers, blue eyes watched the fifth years start to shuffle down from the castle; looked like Slytherin and Ravenclaw were together for this class. Honestly, some looked as uncomfortable or as awkward as your classic first year. Some seemed interested, some seemed bored, and some - specifically one - seemed so crushingly unhappy. Maybe distressed, maybe sad... He couldn't blame her, biting his lip and turning to look at the smiling half-giant.

Catherine stood at the front of the class with her dorm mate beside her, although they weren't friends it was the most company Catherine got in this class apart from her friendship with the half-giant Hagrid. She eyed Louis, before Hagrid lead the class to the forest. Catherine ran up to Hagrid and Louis

"what are we learning about today hagrid?" She questioned excitedly holding her book to her chest.

"Bowtruckles o'course!" Hagrid barked, looking quite pleased as he hobbled along. His beady eyes wandered the forest, keeping an eye out for very specific trees as the two mixed Houses would continue along. They really didn't need to go into the forest, but it was still pretty fun to see the creatures in their natural habitat. While bowtruckles weren't the most interesting creatures - some of which, that would come later in the year, were much better - but how could you not enjoy it.

Louis smiled at some of the students, undoubtedly giving off a naturally-charming disposition. "Bowtruckles make their homes in trees that are fit for wand making," he informed them, eventually looking off ahead again.

Catherine smiled excitedly, this was the only class that could take her mind off the choas in her life. "Bowtruckles, they're those tiny stick creatures right?" Catherine questioned smartly as she skipped beside Hagrid, she looked back at Louis as he spoke to the class. His knowledge on magical creatures was extremely attractive to her. No stop it Catherine, there's far too much going on in your life for you to begin falling for a Weasley.

That thing about her looking sad? Yeah, now that they had the distraction of class Catherine seemed to be doing much better. A few people seemed a bit sour towards her, though, probably because her behavior could be identified as trying to be the teacher’s pet - even though that wasn’t it. Louis smiled a small bit and let his gaze wander over to her. “Exactly,” he confirmed, “They’re relatively peaceful-”
“Unless ya mess with its tree,” Hagrid boomed, digging the point of his umbrella into the ground as he spoke.

Needless to say, about a quarter half-mile into the Forbidden Forest - the walls of Hagrid’s hut still relatively visible through the spacing of the trees - he stopped and turned to face the robed classes. The lesson began.

Catherine leaned against a large boulder as she listened taking quick notes, it was then Jeffrey Parkinson came up behind her taunting her.

"Weasel-bee knows your secret" he whispered to Catherine as he kept facing the front, Catherine's face went blank

"You told him?" She hissed, Jeffrey let out a chuckle "if only" he replied as he glanced at her notes beginning to copy.

"Then wh-"

"You're brother Scorpius" Jeffrey said quickly with a smirk "he knows in only a few months you'll be standing over his dead body, along with his aunts muggleborn body" Jeffrey purred. Catherine wanted to run away, but she kept her ground trying to stay strong.  She looked at Louis, did he know??? What did he think of her?

Even if the Weasley knew, everything about the way he currently held himself would suggest otherwise; even if he knew that Catherine would be, in fact, standing over his dead body in a few months time, he still smiled with relative ease. Louis physically appeared to be unbothered by any sort of news he may have heard, which begs the question of whether or not Jeffrey was yanking the girl's chain.

Truth be told, Louis wasn't even thinking about that kind of stuff. He didn't want to, didn't want to put that kind of stress on himself. As far as he saw it, Catherine's "situation" was still so unbelievable. Impossible. All of the above.

He stood by Hagrid, looking out over the Ravenclaw-side of students.

Catherine bit her lip as she finished taking notes with Jeffrey continuing to take notes, her eyes grew more and more narrow. She glared back at Jeffrey "You want me to be that person?" she growled, Jeffrey smirked almost daringly. Catherine grunted as she shoved past Jeffrey going to the otherside of the group in a huff, which earned her a rather confused look from Hagrid. This was sending her insane, the only person who understood her situation properly was the person she despised the most... She looked at Louis, if he did really know... Maybe, he could be the one she trusted in. She looked at her notes, of course not... She'd end up killing him, friendship isn't something you rekindle when you're going to eventually kill them... Catherine teared up at the thought, well at first it was tearing up... Then it was quiet sobbing, that she tried to hide, however she did get many weird looks from those around her. She kept her head in her notes, keeping her head low.

For a bit, everything seemed relatively fine with the students. Then there was a part in the crowd and the sudden seclusion of a student. His brow furrowed, confused as to what was going on before deciding to go investigate. What he found was a nearly balled up Catherine sobbing into newly smudged notes. She didn't seem to notice him, probably because she was so wrapped up in her own thoughts, but Louis only stared.

Was she seriously crying? So soon into the year - again, for that matter? Yes, it was hard to hold in your emotions and he understood that, but why couldn't she try harder to not be swayed by the odds of her circumstance?

His answer was easily found with a second more of thought; she wasn't him, she wasn't a Weasley, or a Potter for that matter. While Louis felt that he wouldn't need to cry if he was in her shoes, it was because his family was so close with each other that they would've remained by his side that he figured he didn't have to worry. They fought against the darkness, not with it as the Malfoy's or Riddle's had.

And she wasn't grown up, cowering away like a small child at the back of the students. The blonde pulled a silk white handkerchief - one of many that his mother had stored away in his robe pockets - and held it out. "Hey," he said softly, trying to get her to look up.

Her glazed eyes looked over at Louis as his hand extended to her a handkerchief "Thank you" she squeaked as she took the handkerchief, wiping her face as she avoided eye contact with those around her. She handed it back to Louis "Thank you..." she whispered, as she looked around embarrassed. She began paying attention to the class once again, but her mind did wonder off. Finally it was time to interact with the creatures, Catherine unlike the other students merely sat beneath under a tree waiting for them to come to her, while the others ran and tried to grab them.

His eyebrows would raise but he said nothing else, tucking the silk away into his pocket and paying attention to Hagrid. Now, Catherine was right to wait like a small few other students did, because they were the ones that bowtruckles cared enough to go to. Louis watched one poke out from the bark of the tree, knowing full well that those trees in particular weren't the natural homes of the creatures, but that it was instead their means of physical defense when approaching a big blundering human.

Once again Jeffrey approached Catherine "The whole class saw you weeping, I wonder what will happen when they find out why" he teased, Catherine got to her feet. She glared up at the much taller boy

"Shut it Parkinson" she growled "I know about your family as well" she muttered, Jeffrey's face went pale and blank

"W-what-... My family has no secrets" he growled defensively, Catherine raised an eyebrow

"Werewolf father kills mother, forces you to take the last name of your mother to hide that you're his son?" Catherine questioned, Jeffrey straightened up

"Shut up." he growled, Catherine smirked "I will, If you do" she muttered.
