Fantasy The War (Players Needed)

Vampiricdoll

Freelance Illustrator and Character Designer

Long ago, in a land where many beings exist, there is a war. In this war, there are multiple kingdoms. These kingdoms are allied with elements, and the leaders of these kingdoms are at war. For a large amount of land, that no one has ever claimed sits waiting to be. All of the kingdoms want it, for the population in each kingdom grows. There are allies, and there are foes but neither of them agree to share... For there is war.

For information of the kingdoms, please check out the overview. Rules will also be listed there. Please stick to this lore, and do not create your own kingdom. THANK YOU.

Iris sat in her throne room. Dressed in a loose, frame-less blue dress. She wore her silver crow upon her head, as she slouched in her mighty chair. She sighed an icy breath, and stood. Her throne room had a balcony, and she decided to take a walk to it. She stood, and a long train of ice and snow followed her. She opened the double doors leading out onto the balcony. She reached the railing, and griped it, rightly. Her icy eyes peered over her kingdom. She blinked, blankly and sighed. Once again a puff of cold vapor left her mouth. She shook her head as the thought of the war haunted her. She was temped to jump. To just be free of this horrid war. She decided not to. Not yet. She turned her body towards the double doors, and went back inside...

Corvus was just entering the ice queens castle. It was nice. A bit cold, but nice. THe ice kingdom, just as every of the other countries, wanted to make an alliance with them. Corvus of course would at first take a look what every kingdom had to offer and with which the chances of a victory were the highest. And then he would decide. Though he might not truly help any of them. That belonged to how it went.

Corvus then approached the throne room, his guards waiting outside. He waited for the queens servants to introduce him properly before he entered.

Amber rushed downstairs in her little home, which was near one of the many market places in the kingdom, and ran to the kitchen. Every morning she was so excited t begin her runs that she could hardly take a moment to stop and think. She got herself some coffee and toast and quickly ate before going back upstairs. She brushed her teeth and hair before getting dressed. She wore a white poofy shirt with a corset like, red cloth over it. Finally she put on her messenger hood which came with a compass, just in case she couldn't remember the direction she needed to go in. Amber slipped on some brown boots before going to her closet to get a package.

After she got the package, she put it in her satchel and went downstairs before going outside and locking the door to her home. She has a few messages to deliver, and the package. Amber ran to the library where she left the package with an envelope and then ran off. Now she had to deliver letters to people all over the kingdom. Some were in rural areas, and some were in crowded. Amber didn't mind though, she knew it was part of her job. As she was getting close to finishing her first run, she realized some of the letters has to be delivered to the outer kingdoms.

Amber was rather displeased, more so because she'd be traveling longer than expected and she'd have to run the remaining two batches when she returned. Amber stretched as she read the addresses and kingdoms on the letters. Two went to the Water Kingdom, one to the Fire Kingdom, one to the Light Kingdom, and one to the Ice Kingdom.

"Oh boy." she said as she looked and realized she'd be gone longer than expected. She shrugged it off before finally reaching the outskirts of the kingdom. Now her adventure finally begins.

Iris sat, her head in her hand. Her hand gently rubbed her forehead. A headache has been bothering her for quite sometime. She had been forgetting a few things. The headache is the cause of this.

One of the maids that worked for her, approached her silently. She bowed and cleared her throat. "Majesty. King Corvus is here to converse with you." She weakly spoke. Her breath was short, from being in front of the intimidating Queen, and from running. The Queen grinned and nodded.

"Thank you, Amber." She said with the most kindness she could muster. "Please take a break. You look tired." She offered her. The small maid smiled and curtsied.

"Thank you ma'dam." She muttered. She ran out of the room and to the King. "You may enter." She spoke to the King, with less breath shortage, and a small glare as if she didn't trust him. She quickly rushed away.

The Queen waited for the King to enter. She sat up straight, and straightened her crown. She now looked more intimidating than ever.

Azura paced anxiously around the room, as she waited for news. She had asked for a directory of all of their military assets in preparation for an attack on the fire kingdom, while she was also hoping to make an ally of one of the kingdoms. Her parents may have been good fighters, but they were not well liked by the other leaders, a fact that she, as a relatively new leader, hoped to change. This land was vital for their agricultural survival, as they couldn't plant on clouds, and the mountain ground was not very nutritious for crops. She had already received reports of famine in some of the villages, and she wasn't willing to let it get any worse. However, though her kingdom was running well, now that she had been at the forefront for almost a year, it was still much less powerful than places such as the ice kingdom, and she wasn't so blind as to think that they could win the war alone. No, they needed an ally, one that would become helpful for resources, as well as strength...

Azura sighed, collapsing into a chair.
There's no other option then, she supposed, changing from her casual clothing into the armour she wore normally. Unlike some of the other rulers, she had no time for flowing dresses or the like. She left a note to the commanders, telling them where she was going, then left the castle, beginning the flight to the Light Kingdom.

"Hmm..." Shinja looks bored and sighs. "Lord Shisaki... what's wrong?" One of his maids asked. "Nothing... it's just..." Shinja jumps put if his throne and stretches. "I don't know, what to do... it's rather boring here..." Shinja said while stretching. "We're in a war, My Lord! O would please you to take this situation more serious!" The Maud said with a rather angry voice. "I do... I do... but I'm still bored... And the War isn't escalating right now... right?" The Maid sighed.

Corvus entered after he was announced, remaining cool all the time. His usual smile remained in his face. "Beautiul, yet cold, just as the ice itself. You have not changed a bit.", he said. It was his usual to talk casual and like with a friend. Though then his expression got more serious. "You have called me here not only for small talk have you?"

@Queen of Fantasy

Iris smiled at her old friend. "Just as much as a flatterer when I first met you." She replied to his witty comment. She stood walked toward him. "Of course not. We are here to discuss an alliance. That requires more than a simple 'talk'." She said returning back to her regular frown. It was a simple resting fce to her, but to others it made her seem... Angry.

Corvus smiled again. "Well, an alliance is of course possible. But you surely understand that i will need to overlook my options. I need to decide the best for my kingdom, you will surely see that. So, tell me please: What would be my gain in that alliance? Why you and not any other kingdom? I know we are friends, but this is war."

@Queen of Fantasy

Iris nodded, and turned her head to the balcony. "Let's walk and talk, shall we?" She chuckles. She makes her way to the balcony, but explains her kingdom to him. "Our kingdom may not seem like much to others outside of it, but we have many things to offer..." She started. "This kingdom, though cold and threatening holds a key to peace. I am not fond of war..." She stated, putting her hands behind her back and looking over her kingdom. "The kingdom offers shelter and healing. We also can reinforce many soldiers and mounts. As long as we have magic, of course. Which comes from... That tower." She pointed to the highest tower within the walls. A bright blue light shone through the roof, and through the clouds. "As you know, all of the kingdoms have a source of magic. If destroyed, the kingdom falls. But what people do not understand is that we reinforce, seriously. I have over 100 ice golems that regenerate themselves every second. 3 ice wyverns at the top, not to mention the ice magic is very unstable. No one shall destroy nor wield it. As long as it is up there, safe and within our walls we can provide as many soldiers as needed." She said, with a prideful grin. It soon diminished. "We also have healers. Ice elementals, make great doctors, and can heal the soldiers."

She turned toward the king and sighed. "That is only the begging. What do you think of the army? Suitable?" She asked.

Amber walked for the majority of her travel. She headed to the Water Kingdom first. She found the kingdom quiet beautiful and interesting. The kingdom itself resides both above and below water. When she saw the large body of water near the kingdom, she began to run and used her speed to get there quicker than what it would have taken her. She got there and knew she had to get ahold of someone who was willing to take the message to the King. She walked to the part of the castle above water and entered. It was very grand and nice. She was approached by two guard and they asked for her name, her kingdom, and what she came for. "Well I am Amber the messenger, umm...., I came to deliver a message to the King and I came from the Plant Kingdom." she said looking at the guards.

It was rather obvious she wasn't too experience with talking to higher ranked people. She gave the guards a rather curious look and they gave her questioning looks. "Fine then." she said with a stubborn face and she reached into her satchel and handed the guards two envelopes. "One should be taken to the written address, and one is to the King." she said before skipping off. "And try to smile a bit more!" she said before running off to deliver more letters.

(I shall type random messages here, like dis one.)

Thalia woke up from her slumber on a sunny morning in the plant kingdom, she ran her hand through her messy hair and watched as the servants walked in to get her ready for the day. "My lady wouldn't it be appropriate to wear something to go to sleep in instead of sleeping like that?" One servant asked Thalia. Thalia shook her head,"I sleep in what pleases me," Thalia told her with a yawn and she got up. Thalia put on a white dress with beautiful golden detailed patterns on it, when she finished getting dressed and her hair was braided she walked out and headed towards the throne room where she was suppose to meet a few of the towns folk to know of their complaints and needs. Thalia wondered where her brother was, probably doing something reckless as well. @Neuton

Ah, the rush of leaves are always so peaceful. ,he thought as he jumps to another branch within the forest. The leaves fall as he landed on another branch. He looks around as the he takes in the lovely scene. The leaves always seem like they dance the wind as they fall down to the ground. Ryan jumped again and grabbed onto a branch. Ryan dangles from the tree as he looks around, he sees a vine and begins to focus on it. The vine slithered toward him through the air as he let go of the branch. The vine wrapped around his arm as he swings through the trees. Ryan has been swinging and jumping from the trees since early in the morning. Knowing his sister, she probably is awake and wondering where he is. He let go of the vine and lands on a low branch. He jumps and lands on the ground and begins to run toward the plant kingdom.

Evan walked the path of an idiot. He walked his way to the Ice Kingdom, believing that he might be able to meet the Ice Queen. After a few moments of slapping the wall he was next to, he made a visual map of the area ahead, but only a few meters. Evan walked the through the hall of the Ice Kingdom. Evan gave himself a quiet and tired speech. "Okay. Just talk your way through it, try and make allies with the Ice Kingdom." Even though Evan wasn't asked or commanded to make allies, he thought that it would be essential to winning the war. He'd continue walking, slapping the wall, making maps. Soon enough he made it to the Throne Room. Not sensing anyone.

"Weird. No heartbeats." Evan would slap the wall again, getting a visual image of the Room. "Hm.." Evan would listen in closer for heartbeats. He'd make his way to the balcony, sensing two people, possibly the Ice Queen, and another random. He'd slap the wall again, getting a map of the balcony.

"Ice Queen? If you are, slap the wall. If your not, don't respond." Evan would ask the two, he just couldn't make sense of the two figures.

Aermik walked through the halls of the castle, holding a tray full of food and drink, a large warm breakfast prepared by himself for his queen and mistress. He wore an apron and fine clothes that she liked, smiling as he thought of their current situation of the war. Playing out all possible scenarios and allies. It could not be said that the human was not pragmatic and analytic as he knocked and entered the quarters of Bellatrix. He smiled as he bowed, "I have brought you breakfast, mistress. I prepared it on my own and thought you might enjoy breakfast in your room." Aermik bowed politely again as he held the tray in front of him, briefly looking up to his queen with bright blue eyes.

Thalia began to take in complaints and listened to what the people had to say. She did this once every month just to see how the kingdom is doing, it may seem boring to others but to her it was a way of connecting more to her people. In return the people of the town would bring her gifts as well as her brother if he was here which he wasn't. Thalia crossed her legs as she paid close attention. When she was done the people exited the throne room and was escorted out by the guards, it was a long line but it was worth. Now it was time to take action in fixing them. Thalia got up from her throne room and began walking to the study room which was a grand room where her father would do his thinking, it overlooked the whole entire town with the best view. Thalia opened the door and walked towards a chair that was pushed in slightly towards the table. She sat down and began writing new plans down, Thalia was a bit worried about where her brother was since this was a lot of work to do and he was never around to help her out, always having his head in the clouds.

He shrugged, smiling. "Indeed, worth being called an army.", he said. The demon then heard someone. "But then again, if anyone can anytime just come into your palace, the security here sucks. I then ight need to collaborate with someone, who does not underestimate the situation."

Bellatrix had been lying in bed, newly awoken only moments before her loving pet, Aermik, entered with breakfast. "Ah my darling!" She smiled brightly at him. "You know me so well~" She teased him lightly as she stretched and yawned softly. Bellatrix's long purple hair flowed out behind her in a bit of a matted mess. "Please my dear, bring it here then fetch the brush and fix this matted mess?" She asked him with a slightly pouted face. Normally in the mornings Bellatri wasn't as..hospitable, but today was going to be a fabulous day! She had an audience with the king of the fire kingdom. Rumor had it the man was very..powerful.

"It's a simple question! Just slap the wall! Whoever you are!" Evan would be confused but also mad. He just needed confirmation of what is happening. "So. Once again, if your the Ice Queen. Slap the wall. If not, just stand there and do nothing."

Ryan had made it to the plant kingdom. He twirled his hands like a conductor, weaving vines and branches to make a makeshift swing. He sat on the swing and it lifted him toward his sister's room. As his swing reaches the room, he looks through the window to find it empty. Probably went to the throne room. ,He thought to himself. He swings on the makeshift swing. As soon as he had enough momentum, he jumps through the window, scraping his leg. He hits the floor and sighs. Oh well, it's not bleeding that bad. He begins to run toward the throne room and sees it empty. he sighs again knowing he missed out on the complaint exchanged. Every month his sister would do it and it always seems so boring. But he likes in helping with the plans and helping out the citizens. He walks toward the study room, where she would be and put his hands in his pocket. "Hey, sis. What problems do we need to fix this month?"

Aermik nodded setting the tray down, "It would be an honor to be able to brush your hair, mistress." He said as he walked to her wardrobe, picking her brush off of the top and striding back to where she was, gently combing and running his fingers through her hair, straightening it and being careful not to tug. "You seem in high spirits this morning, is it due to the arrival of the fire lord?" He asked looking down and focusing on her hair. @xEmoBunnehx

Thalia got up from where she was and headed towards the balcony to overlook the kingdom,"You finally show up," She told her brother as she looked back over her shoulders and saw him standing there. "These are nothing but small complaints this month, nothing you need to worry about. I have it under control." Thalia told him and she cleared her throat. Thalia would always try and put way too many on her plate but she needed to act like the one in charge. Thalia looked forward again and she overlooked the mountains from the distance and saw the land that everyone was trying to claim, since it was on her side she saw no reason in claiming it for herself. But she knew there would be other kingdoms trying to take the land,"Such a waste of land, nobody seems to be using it." Thalia muttered to herself. Thalia turned around and faced her brother,"You know I think I should pay a visit to an old foe," Thalia said referring to the demon himself, King Corvus Fortring. She was going to try and form an alliance with him but she knew he would probably go behind her back but it was worth a shot. @Ami the breadling

Since the Ice Kingdom was close to the Wafer Kingdom, Amber used up the energy she had left to make the run there. She didn't think first though and ended up using her energy quicker than she thought and ended up missing a step and tripped, causing her to collapse. "Well that isn't good..." she said with a sigh and got up. She dusted herself off and pulled up the hood on her cloak. "I don't have roo far to go." Amber mumbled noticing the frost on the path.

Amber hummed to herself as she walked to the kingdom. Despite th sun being out, it would be greyed over by the snow clouds and the ice formations. She got out the letter that she needed to deliver and entered the Ice Kingdom territory.

(Huehuehue)

Ryan watched as she heads toward the balcony and listens to her. "You know I think I should pay a visit to an old foe." ,She said. Ryan looked at her shocked. A alliance with the fire kingdom would be nice, but very dangerous and stupid. He just stared at her like she grew two heads. "What? No, I'm not going to let the queen of the plant kingdom and my sister go to that..Spawn of death!" ,He said, his voice calm. But his face frantic. His sister was the oldest queen from any kingdoms. The spider queen, or what he calls her, was the second oldest. While Ryan was the third oldest. "Your the eldest queen right now Thalia and I won't let you go to see that spawn of hell."
