Fantasy The War of Magic Remaster

When the war of the beasts brings about the world's end

The goddess descends from the sky

Wings of light and dark spread afar

She guides us to bliss, her gift everlasting

Geography

Kardonia is a fairly uneven continent. The northern lands are mountainous over a very wide area, stopping upon reaching the northern tundra. The southern lands are filled with hills, swamps, and various coves leading into the warm Southern Ocean. Large forests occupy most of the rest of Kardonia, with small ranges in the middle and far west. The western lands are rolling plains with previously mentioned mountains. A great number of rivers flow through this land. Meanwhile, the east is a desert, ringed by grasslands and rain forests.

Magic in Kardonia

Magic exists in Kardonia as a simple fact. It is tied to the world, and is the reason for the existence of numerous wonders. When mages cast any sort of spell, they are tapping into the magic of the world to do their work. However, this utilizes the caster's own energy unless an object was imbued to be able to permanently use a spell. Despite being quite versatile, magic cannot solve everything and will sometimes fail the user.

Background

Kardonia is a land of magic. Since the beginning of the races, a force has been present in the world, bestowing upon people the ability to manipulate the world around them. They are both feared and loved for the works they have done and mayhem they have caused. When the war in Kardonia broke out, mages were immediately put to work as soldiers. It is still uncertain why the war broke out, simply that it did. Beginning between the Human Alliance and the Orcenvale tribes, the war soon encompassed the entirety of Kardonia. Alliances were formed and broken as the war progressed until a point was reached where xenophobia isolated each of the nations, creating a state of total war. The orcs and dwarves have fared well due to their naturally hardier constitutions and the defensibility of their homelands. That does not mean, however, they were spared any of the horrors. Increasingly, mages have begun tampering with the fabric of the world in an attempt to end the war quickly. While these attempts have, for the majority, resulted in the deaths of the mages, some secluded practitioners have managed to open portals to other realms, bringing horrifying powers into this world. And new enemies.

Elves: The Ordorelion Dominion

The elves are the oldest and longest-living race in Kardonia. Inhabiting the forests in the center of the continent, they have small enclaves in the mountains of the north. As a long lived race, they do not have many children, leaving their population small. In return for this, many elves are incredibly adept at the skills they work, having hundreds of years to master their tasks. The elven military relies on guerrilla warfare to combat many of their enemies, but can raise spirits, ents, and grand mages to attack other races when needed. Physically, the elves are taller than the other races but also thinner. They are incredibly agile, however, and can run quickly. Elves live in a peaceful society outside of the war, and spend most of their time pursuing scholarly or academic activities. Important elvish cities are: Melanon (capital), Ruala, Oosoona, and Lanaua.

Dwarves: The Kingdom of Arkabod

Inhabiting the mountains to the north, the dwarves are a subterranean race for the most part, spending much of their time underground. However, many still venture to the surface to fight and trade. Dwarves live longer than all but the elves, but have a fairly large population comparatively. Dwarves are incredibly skilled armorers and fighters, making weapons and armor of unparalleled craftsmanship. Their armies are rigidly organized, utilizing broad, sweeping tactics against their enemies, as well as concentrated direct assaults. They are not bad tacticians by any means. On average, dwarves are stocky, having greater proportional strength than any of the other races, matched only by the orcs. Their cities are mainly underground, featuring rigid caste societies and poverty amid the riches of the nobles. Most commoners join the army as a means of rising in stature. Important dwarvish cities are: Dwarfhome (capital), Kazbah, Silverdeep, and Rukbad.

Humans: The Human Alliance

Humans in this RP are much the same as in the real world, incredibly varied, occupying the western plains with cities close to the Midlands, Northlands, and Southlands. They retain all the features that we do. Human society in this game is modeled after late Medieval society, with a still large but declining serfdom, small urban populations, and nobles. Despite being monarch, the king does not hold influence over the outer reaches of the alliance, and has a meager personal army. Instead, all nobles have their own levies of varying size and skill. Despite these shortcomings, humans have made many advances, and have recently discovered gunpowder. Important cities are: Ravendeep (capital), Karickshire, Lorenshire, and Urbania.

Orcs: The Orcenvale Tribes

The orcs live in the Southlands in tribal groups, ranging in size from a few hundred members to tens of thousands of orcs in a tribe. They are an incredibly strong race, slightly taller than humans, but are not as intelligent as the other races on average. Despite this, they are a fearsome race. Crude yet effective weapons and armor allow the orcs to make weapons out of many materials, and enslaved trolls and giants make a fearsome addition to their arsenal. There is no military organization; instead, each chief leads his or her tribe in a mob towards the enemies. Orcs are also the most adept sailor in the land of Kardonia, conducting sea raids on the other races. Fragmented loyalties divide the orcs, making it possible that the orc nation will dissolve back into warring tribes. The most important tribes are (name signifies who leads them): Rishnag (lead tribe), Grodush, and Lagdog.

Dark Elves: The Shadowmoor Principalities

The dark elves inhabit the rain forests and desert to the east, as well as small numbers in the Northland and Southland. They are related to the elves, but have shorter lifespans than their cousins. Many dark elves, or drow as they are commonly known, despise their cousins for this fact. A centralized oligarchy, composed of the oldest mages and nobles, leads the drow. Their army is efficient, small yet able to conduct both guerrilla warfare and directed assaults with ease. Physical stature is similar to that of the average human. Incredibly advanced in magic, their mages are feared everywhere. Dark elves live in urban societies with a surprisingly efficient public support system despite their demeanor. Important drow cities are: Maera Cinlu (capital), Ober, Hlara Murae, and Charra Yuerryn.

Vampires Unknown Kingdom

The vampires were created by the Queen of Vampires Carmilla who was created when her good half ascended into Heaven to become a nigh-omnipotent angelic being. Her evil half was left behind to conquer her realm, and infect those living there.

A vampire can be born from many different creatures; the ceremony itself involves the exchange of blood between the 'host' and the soon-to-be vampire, however, vampirism has to be accepted by the recipient, so it remains exclusive to intelligent creatures.young vampires are bestial in appearance. The lowest ranked vampires usually take the form of a creature with bat-like appearance. Over the centuries, as they become more powerful, vampires appear more human-like and are able to transform at will from their true form into human form. Unknown location

after a few years after the king death Lilienne took over the throne while basil still learning how to become a good king "husbend....i miss you so much..." Lilienne let out a few tears as she quickly wipe it off

A dream...The same dream he had bin trapped in for so long he lost his sence of time. He knew his name..what was it...Malkavian. As for his dream it showed only what he came to realize was the event before his eternal slumber. He was in his kingdom the throne room hearing of the humans joining the elves to raise a massive armg. Their goal the eradication of the vampire race (or void born in vampire toung). Malkavians army's massed at the boarder of his kindom Illyria. Over the coarse of 2 days the joint army's of the elves and humans marched toward Illyria.

On the dawn of the second day the armies met on dread hill a landmark marking the border of Illyria against the human, and elven kingdoms. There their army's clashed, and though strong as the vampires were they could not stand against the combined forces of the elves and humans. For 3 Days The Battle Waged On Both Forces Suffering Heavy casualties. In the end the vampires were forced to withdraw a bloody sight was left to be seen on dread hill the name holding up to its meaning.

Malkavian lead the remaining of his forces to the capital city of Necros. Their they fortified their defence, and set up their magical barriers. When the enemy forces arrived, and attacked it took a long time before the defence were breached. Malkavian the first of his kind, and the strongest defended his home, his family, his men and his country with all he could. Alas it was not enough. In desperation his family, and friends forced Malkavian into the eternal sleep. He was sealed away in a remote location away from the capital in hopes that one day he would resurrect the vampire race from the ashes, and seek revenge against those who massacred his people.

[Remote location close to the humans, and elves current boarder]
A temple stood covered in vegetation reclaimed by the forest. The air was cold as death in that area the trees looked dead, but quite alive. A fog coated the area. Torch light pierced the fog as several humans made their way into the temple. One looked at the leader a man in dark robes, and a golden skull mask" sire all is prepared like you asked the ritual is ready." The lesser man said. The leader gained under the mask" good have everyone take their places we will resurrect the dark lord this night of the blood moon sky. " He said as he looked up. Their in all its glory shined the blood moon the day the first vampire was born into the world. Fitting that it would also be the night the first vampire would be resurrected.

After a few minutes the gathering of men, and woman made their way to the lower deepest level were Malkavian tomb rested on a giant alter surround by 3 large skeletal statues with wings holding the tomb in the air a long stairway leading up to the tomb from the floor. A magic circle was made around the tomb as 8 humans stood in the required positions. When the light of the blood moon reached the tomb the circle glowed red indicating it was time. The leader standing in front of the tomb held a large silver cup fused with a human skull. He spoke in the ancient toung of the vampire" from the veil the demon amon gave life to the first veil born. From the world a vessal was given to the life of the veil born. The binding to which all life is bound blood served as the anchor. Pandora we offer our blood in exchange for the restoration of the vessal. To Amon we offer the soul of the living in exchange for the return of the spirit Malkavian Ironhearr." He said as he human man was brought to the tomb by force tied , and bound against his will. The leader held a knife in his hand cutting his hand as blood flowed into the cup. He passed it to the other 8 members as they did the same. When it returned to the leader he placed the blood filled cup on top of the tomb. He turned to the bound man.

Holding out his hand he closed his eyes as a spoke in the arcane toung. A purple energy emitted from his hand flowing towards the bound captive. As the energy flowed around him his body decayed aging to a mere skeleton with skin. The soul ripped from the body floated in the stream of energy the color of blue. It was flowed towards the cup the soul combining with the life blood. Instantly surges of red energy arced to the cup making It glow red. A swirl of black mist en composed the circle, and tomb shooting up through the temple. It soared into the night sky creating a large rain cloud red lightning flashing in the clouds. In the middle a portal opened into the world of spirits, and demons the veil was open. The offerings were excepted as a large green Orb shot from the sky portal into the temple. It traveled till it slammed Into the tomb cracking it. After a few moments the tomb casing ruptured then exploded sending debri everywhere as well as the cultists. There standing was Malkavian reborn into the world of the living. His body was skeletal as he arched his back wings extended, and arms outstretched as he unleashed a loud savage roar into the night.

(Imagine that only 6 ft and with bony bat wings)

Malkavians eyes glowed bright red as he looked around him. Only one thought crossed his mind" Feed" it said. Instantly he soared through the air towards a nicked down cultist. His fangs 2 inch long ripped into the flesh of the neck blood flowing out. The red warm liquid flowed through his skeletal frame flesh, tendons and organs growing back onto and in his body. The cultist drained dry was dropped to the floor with a bone clacking sound. The other cultist r a new in fear as one by one Malkavian picked them off. Dry corpses littered the chamber as the leader kneeled before Malkavian" please my lord I brought you back from the dead sure I beg you to spare me." He pleaded as Malkavian grabbed him by the through holding him on the air effortlessly. His body had returned to normal memories flooded hi mind as did some of his power. He looked the man in the eyes" why should I spare you human?" He said with disgust. The man held onto his arm trying to breath" because I can help you sire I help you get the revenge you desire." He choked and coughed before grinning" all I ask is that you turn me." He said looking in Malkavians eyes. Malkavian griped tighter holding the man closer" I have no need for a greedy servant like you human you have no honor." He said before biting the man's neck. As the blood flowed into him the man's memories came as well he know knew what had become of his kingdom, and his familly. Everyone was burned alive on large stakes. As the humans , and elves had seen them as a curse a plage on the land. As the body fell Malkavian staggered back before falling onto his knees. He screamed in agony, and pain as all the emotions flooded into him. After a few minutes he rose slowly. His silvery ash colored hair covered his face, buy his eyes were glowing red. He removed they hair from his face as he held out his hand. His armour, and sword appeared in black mist around his body. Sword appearing in his hand the eyes of the skull slightly glowed red. He sheathed his blade on his back before making his way to the surface. In his mind he knew he needed to know more of the world for he learned centuries had past sence he reigned over hus land. Once on the surface it was night he could see the blood moon in the sky shining it's light a pon the land. He closed his eyes breathing in air even though he did not need to it relaxed him. He opened his eyes before setting out for the human capital. A few roads crossed it's path, but he had the rout in his mind for he know began his quest for revenge.

All hail queen lili

Yume spoke to himself silently within his own mind. The day was ending, but the bustling town of ravendeep did not know how to rest. Yume would exit his private room and take a step outside and took a deep breath of fresh air.

Yume was slender, yet he appeared to be muscular. He wore standard butler attire: A white shirt that was pressed neatly and tucked into black slacks. The slacks were tailored to fit Yume perfectly and the bottom of the pants fell right above black shoes that were glossed lightly. The suns dying beams vibrantly shined off of his shoes. On top of his shirt he wore a black vest, and in between the vest and his shirt was a thin black tie, fastened snug around his neck.

Yume took a look around. The sun was gently being put to rest by the moon, but not fully asleep. The golden beams hit part of the dull apartment building that he had just left. Yume took one step, then another, and soon was falling into an easy stroll both hands in his pocket he looked straight ahead. Several females glanced his way, but he paid no mind. He was not into the simple minded women that roamed the street in packs at this hour of night. Yume secretly craved this late day walks. He loved the well designed architecture of his home town, Ravendeep. Late day like this, the suns rays could bounce off the clouds and embrace you, tricking you into thinking everything is okay. For a quick moment Yume seemed to be about to break into a full smile as he walked, but resisted and only gave a smooth smirk.

He knew not were he was headed, both of his parents were dead, and his sister had moved to a world unknown. One thing for certain, he needed work. He was contemplating the idea, and has finally decided to apply to be the direct butler to Queen Lilienne. He walked towards the castle in which the royal family resided in.

The outside of the castle was no more than Yume’s expectations, beautifully designed by an architect that was serious about his craft. A guard noticed his attire and must have assumed that Yume had already worked here, he swung the door open and politely escorted him to a waiting area. Yume kept from gasping, but it was no secret that he was amazed by the interior designing of the castle, Gold was incorporated into most of the furniture and the floors were clean, immaculate. The guard stopped walking and asked Yume to sit, and Yume complied, relaxing on a large chair. “The queen may be with you shortly, you are expected to wait here until noticed. Do you understand?” The guard inquired and Yume replied with a quick nod. With that, he was left alone.

Long live the queen He thought once more

(its alright :P ))

Lilienne walks towards the waiting only to see one of butler waiting for her "hm?" she walks towards the man "who are you?" she ask

Gin was a butler and he had set out guidelines for interacting with people. Do not speak unless spoken to. He said inside of his head. Once the Queen arrived, he stood up politely and bowed. He waited until the Queen addressed him and then began speaking, “Evening, your Majesty. “ He spoke in an even quiet tone, “This isn’t proper procedure, but I was wondering if I could become a direct servant to you and the young prince. “ Now that he had spoken his query, he made sure to look the queen directly in the eye, “I have a certain skill set that you might find useful in your future endeavors. “ he added as an extra piece of persuasion.

The queen was the definition of beauty, but Gin did not falter. He had eyes for one girl, only one girl. As he awaited the queens response he started to daydream about when he would come across his dream date. Of course, he was still looking directly at the queen’s eyes making sure, even while dreaming that he never break eye contact. The last thing he wanted, was a conflict.

Lilienne smiled politely directly back towards him "so you are looking for a job" she reply only with a calm voice "than you are hired we need some new servant's after our king death" Lilienne looks away trying to calm herself down than looks back at him with a smiled "may i know your name kind sir?"

Kano was in the tavern of the human capitol, resting in a chair and enjoying himself. He was enjoying himself quite a lot since he had just finished a rather fun job. He of course was running out of money so he needed another soon. Kano sighed and looked around, wondering if anyone looked like they were in need of assistance. He scanned some more before standing and leaving to go wonder around the market place.

Yume was glad. "If you could just give me a quick rundown of my responsibilities, I'll start right away. Actually, If I'll be working here I'll need to get a few things from my home so that I may move into the servants corridor." Yume took two step backwards, bowed, and then made his exit into the now dark, bustling city of Ravendeep. He walked into the marketplace and began to look for a new black tie to celebrate his new job. What he saw shocked him.

There in the market was a most gruesome mercenary Yume had ever heard of. "Kano" Gin whispered to himself. Many rumors had reached Yume's ears, the most fascinating was that Kano was indeed a mind reader. Yume muttered under his breath, "Yume, cast" and a perfect clone emerged ten feet in front of him and began to move towards Kano. The clone could not be destroyed or take damage, it also could not deal damage. It stopped directly behind Kano and put it's head over it's shoulder and began to whisper, "I know who you are, Kano." Yume continued, " I don't care if you run amuck in this city, but if you have any sort of mission to hurt the royal family, I will be here to destroy you. Your friend, Yume. " The transmission ended and the clone dissapeared and Yume went about his business. He figured that he was going to have to make a name for himself in this town, and the best way to do that is to kill over some criminals

Lilienne watch Yume walks away "i hope you get everything you need" she smile Basil came runing towards her with a hapily smiled "mommy!" he said happily "oh hello my dear prince" Lilienne hugs Basil tightly

Lilienne let go of basil hands "sorry child you can't enter the meeting room" Lilienne said towards basil "but mommy i want to come with you" he said "no basil you know i cannot let you in here go play with your toys i come get you shortly" with that Lilienne walks into the meeting as well basil walks towards his room down the hallways

one of the knights saw a guy infort of the castle he walks towards him "who are why have you come to this palace?" the knight said directly towards the man

"lord angelus? sorry we don't any document order you to come" the knight said "well tell us why have you came here?"

Seems to be alot of stuff going on here today sir knight

I just thought i would check it out
