Fantasy The War of Elcheig

Banshee

Entity of Darkness
In the age 1480 strife, and horror fill the land of Elcheig. An invading force threatens the inhbitants of the land, and its balance. War has raged for 10 long years, and yet neither the Humans, or the Zecksta have prevailed. This land has Secrets that need to be unlocked, Mysteries that have not been solved, and a war to be fought. The fate of the land lies in the player's hands.

Races: Zecksta, Kitaram, Drefol, Drared Humans

Descritpions: Drefol:are 11-12 foot tall muscled beasts. They war with not only other races, but with themselves as well. Their bodies are jutting with horns on their shoulders, nails, and head. However, even though they are ferocious, they are also very primitive.

Drared: are clusters of souls long dead that clot together to make a humanoid form. They cannot be killed, and when they are wounded black purplish tendrils emanate from their bodies, and heal them. They always wear white robes. and masks to cover their truly demonic selves. If one were to see them derobed they would surely go insane.

Zecksta: They are a reptilian like race. their average height is 5-6 feet tall. They feel that they are the rightful rulers of the land, and will stop at nothing to accomplish this goal. They are master smiths, and battlemasters.

Kitaram: A bug-like race that treat their allies like kin. They are deadly in combat due to their incredible speed, and flying abilities. they do not need armor since their body it'self is like a full suit of armor. when they enter combat, tissue slides naturally made shells onto their muscles to protect them it is nearly impenetrable.

Humans: The only race to possess magic, and the rulers of the land. The magical creeds are known as Magicians, Mages, Sages, Warlocks, Sorcerers, Wizards

Magicians, Mages, and Sages are practically extinct. The Warlocks are in few numbers, but the Sorcerers, and Wizards are mostly fine.

Warlocks specialize in the four Elements of Life. Air,Water,Earth, and Fire. It is said a demon the inhabits their body can give them these abilities. However, warlocks began to inbreed creating those who could specialize in more than one element. Unfortunately none ever manipulated all 4 elements.

Wizards are like gods. They can pull together immense power and recreate its physical form to whatever they desire. For instance. like a fire, or a shield of magical origin. not like a metal shield but like a glowing essence that protects them.

Sorcerers use charms and incantations to disable, and torture their foes. Most are slave bearers, and sellers of warlocks, and or sages if they even exist anymore.

Side Note: This stuff is out of a book I am writing. But some of the information is changed to protect my writing.

WARNING: This RP is for mature audiences. There will be increased amounts of violence, and blood.

pheww let's get this over with.

The Land is divided into 5 sections. The Mainland, The Northern wastelands, The Southern Marshes, The Eastern Deserts, and the Western Plains. These all have very different Geography due to their location.

The Northern Wastelands carry an abundance of wild cats that live in small patches of forest, and it has a large forest within the middle that has giant spiders, and creatures that would devour a horse in one bite. The North is constanty sleeting and/or snowing, and in the northern most area of the map it holds five mountains stuck next to each other in a circle. Within the circle hold the most impenetrable fortress ever created. This fortress is known as Ventsapol Keep. In the also in the far north (even farther away than Ventsapol Keep) is the Drake lands. This area of the north is full of Dragons that would kill any who trespass into the area.

The Southern Marshes are home to the Drefol. It is practically impossible to enter the area and not be ambushed by heartless murderous creatures as well as Geography. The land it self is a death trap. Within this land are the red hills known as that because of two reasons. whomever enters will die from the red mist in the hills. and the blood that covers the ground of all the victims. There is also a very active volcano father in the land mass. past those two objects that are next to each other is an undiscovered fortress who's halls have not been walked in since the beginning ages. This is a land mass to be reckoned with for sure.

The Eastern Deserts are home to the Kitaram. Only one human city is stationed there, and it is next to the sea that divides it from the Mainland. It is known as Heromesa. The East is rather full of nothing but sand and lifeless bodies. The one mystery is the temple made of jet black rock that some say is haunted. There have been rumors that a wizard made it to curse the gods, and create an area where the veil between the spirit world, and the physical world is no more. some of this proves to be true.

The Western Plains don't have much life in them. Some small tribes of Humans live there, but the Geography is not as dramatic as the others. It is (no pun intended) Plain.

The Mainland is the easily the Lushest area of land. Within the Mainland Lays a city known to all as the Metropolis It's walls have never been breached, and for good reason. This area of land contains many wonders. Some are listed here. The floating rock Within the northern most area of the mainland. It sits in a corner to the right. Next there is The Forest of the Damned. It has held shades of the long dead since the first man died. If one were to enter, they would surely experience possession. If one were already possessed then they would go completely insane from the images of the minds of the shades. In the very middle of the land mass there is a small overgrown fortress that some say a wizard lives within. That practices magic without the worry of peeking eyes because this fortress lies within the Forest of the Damned. Although the Mainland looks nice from the outside, be weary not to fall into its traps.

No other races are to be played as or introduced but the original 5.

Only 1 character per person. (Might be changed in a while.)

I'm okay with some profanity, but please be disciplined.

if you are a human, and if you are of magical origin please state what class you are. (read in description) If you want to be Magician, Mage, or Sage then that must be done by contacting me, and creating a suitable backstory.

You cannot play as a warlock that manipulates 4 elements.

Conner marched along in his regiment. He didn't know where he was going, they don't tell him. All he knew was that he needed his pike. Hopefully they were going after some Zacksta. Drefal were terrifying.

Kelai looked into an abyss of fire, and corpses. The small town had been utterly wiped of life. Ravens could already be seen entering the site to pluck it of any remaining flesh. He looked away, and saw a small regiment of Human soldiers marching. They didn't look very well equipped for what Kelai had seen ahead. Drefol had set up what 'looked' like a camp. With those primitive creatures he could never tell.

(By the way, thank you for starting this off finally)

Sarani spotted a group of humans with the intention of killing something walking down a path. He waited for them to walk by his postion before he walked on the same path as them. He always hated humans and always killed them when they were near him. Sarani threw a rock at the back of one of them to get their attention.

Kelai witnessed a rock hitting a soldier. It looked intentional. he knew how much every race distrusted Drared. He knew that if he were to walk away now he would be accused of the act. It would in fact be intelligent to wait it out.

Sarani pulled out his two swords and shouted to the group of soldiers "What are you bastards doing here, it seems like you are trying to find someone to kill. I know you guys hate Zecksta, there is one standing in front of you guys. If you want a shot come right ahead."

Conner felt a rock hit him. Spinning around and lowering his pike, he sees a lone Zecksta. Then it shouted at the whole group. The officer turned, saw the reptilian, raised his arm and said "Archers ready! Aim! Fire!" all in quick succecion.

Due to his agility Sarani was able to dodge most of the arrows except for one that went through his shoulder. He ripped the arrow shaft off and pushed it through and threw it on the ground. He rushed to the archers and cut 3 of them down before getting ready to deal with rest of the regiment. "This was my ancestors land but you damn humans had to come and take it all for yourselves."

"Pike, forward!" the officer shouted. That was Conner's que. getting into a line, shoulder to shoulder and at least two deep, Conner lowered his pike, and two went over each shoulder. Then, as if a slow drum was keeping a beat, they advanced upon the lone Zackesta while the officer once more ordered the archers to fire.

Kelai sputtered at what the Zecksta had said. Ancestors? He had been given some rather untruthful information. The last rulers were the Dragons, and that was more than 700 years ago. It was then when the 'Great Darkness' came. It was a recession that happened when the Drared, Humans, and Kitaram all had a political debate over ruling. The Humans won, and the other sank back. Kelai wondered why the Zecksta would say such a thing.

Sarani ran out of the way of more archers and got out of the way of the archers. "I have to get that damn officer taken down." Sarani thought. He ran by the pikes and past by the archers but took another arrow to the shoulder. He left it in and got into a sword fight with the officer trying to eliminate him.

The officer was obviously a man that had earned his position. He faught with a skillthat was hard to attain without being in many a tough battle, and with a cold effeciency. Blocking here, a counter strike there, almost like a clock. But at the same time he seemed to dance, even while on his horse. He was knocked off at some point, but his troops were able to fend off the Zackesta for ling enough for him to get back onto his feet. But eventually he made a mistake, one that even Conner could see. Rushing in, Conner is able to block the killing blow, and made sure the officer stayed out of the fight, substituting the officer for himself.

Kelai had seen enough of this. it was sickening that they would fight on such childish terms. He flew in front of the Zecksta, and shielded it from more blows. As he did this, wounds appeared around him from the sword strokes of the Humans. When this happened, demonic black tendrils flew from his wounds. they made sort of sucking sounds, and his wounds closed.

Sarani jumped back when he saw Kelai appear out of no where. He was taught to respect Draded Humans. When he saw this he stepped back and put his swords away. "I'm sorry for causing this fight, I just have a hate for humans that can never be taken away."

Kelai bashed the Zecksta's face with the pommel of his blade, and swung his sword at the remaining Humans. "A ten year war, and yet none have won. Tis because you are all so ignorant." He sheathed his blade and walked from the battle. "If you humans don't want to die an early death then i would suggest not to march to your destination."

Sarani took what he deserved and looked at humans with a hate of anger. He remembered what a group of humans did to his family 20 years ago and he kept the anger controlled but his face told a different story.

"We have our orders." the officer replied, getting back onto his horse. Someone must have grabbed it in the mayhem. "Alright lads, back into formation. Square formation, Pikes on the outside with archers in the middle. Prepare to redirect if necassary." the offecer shouted his orders. Once everyone was in their appropriate spot, they once more began to head towards the camp.

Kelai saw that they had obviously not heeded his warning. They would surely all die. Nothing could stand in battle with a Drefol. Their claws were the size short swords, and were all muscle. They needed no warning to attack anything that moves, even their own kin.

Sarani turned back to the draded after he pulled out the second arrow. He placed his hands behind his back and bowed his head towards him "I'm sorry if I displeased you, I just don't like humans very much, I'll take any punishment you seem appropiate."

After marching a bit, the officer called a halt. He had heard something, rocks sliding down a hill or a branch snappin. "Pike, brace archers, notch arrow." the officer commanded. Conner did as he was ordered, and dropped to one knee, bracing his pike at a low angle to skewer most thing in the stomach but easily adjusted to deal with horse or drefal. On e more pikes went over both his shoulders, and the wall of glistening steel was complete, and the archers were ready to fire in any direction.

kelai looked at the Zecksta behind his mask. "Look at my face. If you survive, you will obtain powers like no other of your race. If you do not then that is your punishment."

"I would be honored to do that." Sarani dropped his swords to the ground and stood a complete attention to await his fate. He looked back at his life and remember all the things that were important in his just incase he doens'tmake it.

Kelai took off his mask, and what was under were the minds of souls that had clustered together to create a humanoid form. The thoughts of the souls entered the Zecksta's mind, and tormented it. The horrors that had been seen by Humans, Kitaram, Drefol, and even Zecksta alike were in this. They consumed the Zecksta, and ate away at his mind. If the Zecksta did not resist well enough then he would indeed die.
