  Ever since he left his old hometown he could never find a group of friends that completed him again. During his time in middle school he took up an interest in science like his father. Due to being indulged in his studies he never had time for relationships so when the question came up from his parents in High School he stated he had no interest. He graduated from High School early through a program from a prestigious college. By the age of twenty he was an expert when it came to microbiology and genetics. By the age of twenty-four he had already completed his basic college studies and was getting ready to head into a specialty school with a job in Gene Tech in line for him. During that span of time though he got connected with nature through hiking trips and camp outs in the wilderness. One trip in which resulted in a broken arm.
  
  
  Though he had plans to quickly get into the mists of his new school his family stopped him. They were worried over his personal life, his tendency to over study, and his lack of interest in forming a family. They demanded that he take a year off to relax and gain new hobbies. He was perplexed on what to do about their demand. It was around this time he saw an e-mail he would usually trash as spam. The e-mail made mention of the humble town he came from ten years ago which brought back memories. He thought it best to set his vacation destination to that place.

He attempts to stay calm and kind to those around him though this causes him issues when he should be acting in another manner.   • Skills: An incredibly logical thinker that attempts to take time when putting an issue together. While he may not always form an answer he helps in the process of quickly reaching the true answer. He is pretty well built due to his concern about his health giving above average endurance and flexible strength. Good at keeping a calm composure.

  As a child, Laiken was always adventurous and curious about every aspect of life. Although she was one of the younger kids in the group, she found pleasure in inventing games and influencing her friends to follow her lead. She was often seen as bossy by her "neighbors" but they grew to realize that she is all bark and no bite. The female loved to be around her friends, but other people seemed to scare her feisty personality away.​
  
  
  
  At home, Laiken lived with her mother, father, and baby sister. Her parents were always overwhelmed with money issues, so the girl didn't like to stay at home and witness their bickering. When the group discovered the tree house, she loved the idea of having a special place to go. School was always an escape, but Laiken felt like her classmates didn't understand her. She was often bullied for her plain appearance and shy behavior, but, as soon as Laiken met up with her best friends, she became her usual bubbly, kind (but pushy) self.
  
  
  Life after:
  
  
  The whole mystery that took hold of the children's lives frightened Laiken to no end. She started hiding in her room, refusing to leave the house for weeks at a time. After her friend's death, Laiken started having panic attacks, and she couldn't bare to see her friends again. Although the family farm being taken from them resulted in the end of her parents' marriage, Laiken could not help but see it as a blessing in disguise.
  
  
  After the forced move and divorce, Laiken went to live with her father, while her sister went to her mother. Being raised by father alone taught the girl to forgive and forget, but she had a hard time making friends after sixth grade. Sure, there were kind students at her new school, but she never formed a close relationship with any of them. Laiken was lucky enough to never have to "come out" to her father because he sat her down at the age of thirteen and explained to her that she could never disappoint him. He told her that nothing matters to him but her character and her dreams. So, because of her father's understanding nature, the female never had to pretend to like boys, but other adults were not as accepting.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  Homophobic pressures made Laiken's panic attacks and irrational fears appear again, and, despite her home life being happy, she couldn't wait to move out. The only release the female had through her teen years was art, and she flourished her happiness by writing poems, stories, journal entries, songs, and anything else her heart desired. Writing, drawing, and other creative activities allowed Laiken to rebuild her lost confidence, and now she documents almost everything she does. If she doesn't have the time to write down her ideas, she records them with her phone and saves them for later.
  
  
  When the message arrives, drawing her towards her home town, Laiken is afraid, but her curiosity is also sparked. Solving this mystery could turn into an amazing novel.

  Cass grew up with a family that was not very wealthy. Her parents often borrowed money from relatives to keep her in school. It was an especially rough time during sixth grade, too. Her friend's death made her close herself off from people completely, and she started putting up walls. She made it look like she wasn't scared, and kept going to school even when she was absolutely frightened about what was happening. Eventually, the government bought the family estate and they were left with enough money to put her in high school. They'd moved to her grandmother's house, far away from her friend's death and the mysterious tree house. During high school, her grades earned herself a scholarship, and she entered college without any problem. She even had a part-time job to help her family financially. It wasn't enough, though. Cass did all she could to forget about the incident with her friend and the tree house - she drank, partied, and didn't talk to anyone for quite a while. It was her way of coping.   Matthew was born to a standard upper mid class family. While he wasn't filthy rich, even at a young age, Matthew knew others weren't has fortunate to have the upbringing he did. He used to get bullied for being wealthier then the other kids at school, but he never cared much as he knew his parents worked hard for Matthew to have such a good life. He looked up to his parents ever since he was a little boy, and worked hard just like them so he could make them proud.
  
  
  He was a very happy and cheerful child until his poor friend died, and then things went to hell. Matthew started to develop lots of phobias and fears, and he believed that he would be the next to die. Some of his fears dissipated with age, but his fear of the dark and his paranoia still haunt him to this day. He became a much more closed and serious person and after the death of his friend he became more distant to the other kids.
  
  
  When things couldn't get much worse, the government bought the farm that belonged to his family and he had to move out. He was kind of glad he could finally escape his hometown. In his new home, Matthew became once again a more confident and secure individual, even though it was clear that the death of his friend left a big emotional scar in his life. With his life and emotions more stable and now older, Matthew started studying to become a lawyer. Matthew aims to become a very successful lawyer and with his 2nd year of Law School going by smoothly, his future seems bright.
  
  
  But of course, his dark past had to come knocking once again and Matthew received a weird anonymous email referring to the accident that happened 10 years ago in his hometown. Even though Matthew feared what could happen if he were to revisit that place, he had to it. For some reason, Matthew felt like it was his duty to go back and solve the mystery.

  Best friends. That's what they all were... best friends. While they all went to the same school Dakota was a little different. He went to a large private school in the city that was a few miles away. His family lived on a large plantation like manor. He had live-in maids and his parents were the only lawyer and doctor in the small town. So the time they spent in the woods together was precious to Dakota as it was the only time he really hung out with him. The boy was the adventurous one in the group. In fact, he was the one who was so intent on solving the mystery, always pushing them to continue. The night their friend died Dakota was supposed to go with him. Half way to the tree house Dakota started hearing voices. For once in his life he was afraid. He was quick to turn around and leave his friend. The next day when he found out his friend was missing Dakota quickly assumed it was his fault. Upon hearing about the death Dakota was devastated. He didn't go back into the woods after that. He never say his friend after that. Right after the tragic death all the farms around Dakota and his family were bought, causing his family to move all the way to a small town in Alaska. When he moved he vowed to be more courageous and brave, feeling as thought if he was brave and went with his friend, he wouldn't have died. Six grade Dakota was no longer scared.
  
  
  After the move Dakota made sure never to be afraid of anything. He always made sure to follow every dare possible. He once swam in a half frozen river as well as entered a bears den. When he moved he was still devastated by this friends death. To fix this his soon encased him self in photography. He took pictures of everything. Over time he started testing himself more and more. He would climb trees just to get the perfect sunset shoot. He would stay up all night to make sure he caught a meteor shower. As soon as he finished high school (in which he was quite popular in. Probably because he was hot and one of the few male students in the private school) he was quick to apply for a job with National Geographic, sending in his photos. He was able to get the job and has been traveling the world ever since.
  
  
  Dakota was in Japan, documenting a huge firefly gathering when he got the email. He got to the hotel at almost three in the morning, checking his phone and seeing the email. At first he was going skip the request, having a job in Brazil. However, that night while trying to sleep images of his old sixth grade friend kept popping up in his head. Needless to say after only 2 hours of sleep and booking a plane ticket back to the States he was finally back in his old hometown. The place where he spent more than half his life in.

  This twenty-two year-old is a very Observant individual due to her disability. Leighton tends to point out people's quirks, weaknesses and strength's quite easily. Though, she only points them out to the people she's close to. Like, her childhood friends. Leighton being a bit two observant can be annoying at times, as you may have a habit that she absolutely hates and will keep telling you that until you stop because of your annoyance. Leighton is also no doubt a Curious person. You know how they say curiosity kills the cat? Leighton is sure, if she was a cat she would've been killed by now. In fact, she was the one who found her friend's dead body in the woods nearby their house. Moving on, Leighton is also Daring. She's the one friend, who comes up with the most weird yet interesting dares in a game of truth or dare. Or the friend, who honestly doesn't have a care in the world about what she's doing. Which doesn't exactly help that she's Curious, but it's just the way she is. Making Leighton slightly reckless and have people care for her safety.
  
  
  
  
  
  Leighton is Clumsy. She was always the one, ruining her shoes the first time she wore them growing up. The one tripping over cracks in the ground, along with tripping on uneven sidewalks. Hell, she even tripped while walking and she still does making her a bit dangerous when walking behind her. Though, Leighton didn't just trip. She fell, a lot. But, bounced right back up quickly saying she was okay before anyone could mutter a word. Leighton is also Impatient. She tends to hate waiting for long period's of time, actually she hates waiting in generally. It can make her curiosity go up a lot, if she doesn't know what's going to happen. It gets boring after waiting for awhile, and why should Leighton wait for you if you weren't prepared. Moving on, Leighton is Secretive making people think she's untrustworthy and not loyal at all. That's not the case, it's just that she has things she can't and wouldn't share. Though, Leighton is so secretive to the point that her childhood friends don't know her real middle name and last name since he parents didn't want her middle name nor last name to be spoken at all at her schools.

  Life Before
  
  Born on the 18th day of November, Leighton Voltaire was destined from her first cry to live a life swaddled in luxury and unfathomable loneliness. A taboo child that crossed the defined lines of social classes and produced out of wedlock, her mother was a Australian waitress under the name of Oliva Wilson , while her father being the CEO of a leading Russian company in technological advancements, Nicholas Voltaire. Having met during Nicholas's business trip to Sydney, Australia, it was love at first site within Oliva's eyes, now only if those pure feelings were returned. Using Oliva as his distraction from work, Nicholas prolonged his return to Moscow to stay at his lover's side, neglecting to mention that his true wife, Charlotte Voltaire, was carrying his son with a due date by 3 months. Within two full years of being together, Oliva and Nicholas produced a clumsy baby girl, one that was to be kept a secret from his 'true' family back home.

  At the age of 6, Oliva and Nicholas's wife Charlotte who was still in Moscow had found out about the child Nicholas and Oliva had produced in Australia through a course of events. Now, angry and betrayed yet sad. Oliva had moved out of Australia and to America instead. Now, in a new environment filled with kids who had different accents and culture than her. Leighton had often felt lonely, as she was the foreign student in her class with no friends only people who were interested as to where she came from ect. Sure, she could speak fluently in English but her accent had made it hard to understand her as she said words faster than Americans. It was until one day, someone had said hi to Leighton. Instead, of saying " I haven't seen you around here before, where are you from? " or something like this " Hey! Aren't you that foreign student we got last week? " They actually said hello to her. And, from there Leighton became more and more comfortable living here. She ended up making a lot more friends along the way.
  
  
  When news had came, that her friend had died. Leighton was devastated, he was one the one who had said hi to her. And, made her feel welcomed. So, hearing that he actually died mysteriously had triggered her curiosity as she was determined to figure out about his death. But, at the same time Leighton wanted nothing more to do with his death along with her friends. But, knowing it would be rude to distance herself from everybody. She had put up a wall, and made it seem like she forgotten about his death even when she didn't. It didn't help either, that banks and the government had took Leighton's farm making her and her mother move back to Australia to live with her grandma.
  
  
  Life After
  
  
  At the age of 19, Leighton had become deaf from the exposure of a loud noise that had permanently damaged her hearing make her deaf. Devastated yet again, Leighton had began to distance herself from her family. And, stopped making visits to her mother and other family member just because she was deaf and instead relied on drawing, painting and sketching to make her happy. At the age of 20, Leighton had finally stopped distancing herself from her family and actually started living her life and accepting that she deaf and there was nothing she could do about it. Unless, she got a hearing aid which is what her mother had provided to her. Though, Leighton tends to forget or lose it and takes it out of her ear quite a lot. Because, of that Leighton carries around a notebook and pencil along with a pen. Just in case she forgets her hearing aid.
  
  
  
  
  
  Leighton was painting yet again, when she had received the email. Being deaf and without her hearing aid at the moment, she didn't notice it right away until she checked her and noticed it was there. Thinking it was just a prank, Leighton had ignored it. Yet, the email always seemed to be on her mind. Deciding that the curiosity was killing her, Leighton had booked a flight to America the next day.
