You are on a train ride to either Todai or Kineshisu, both places being universities. Todai is the university of Tokyo, where many smart students belong. But you need to be very smart to get in! Kineshisu is the university of Asaka, where many students with supernatural abilities belong. In order to get into Kineshisu, you need to have some sort of special ability no normal human being would have. On your way to the university you applied for, you meet several others who are going to the same one. You befriend them. But... soon after, you hear the train suddenly squeak and everyone is pushed to one side. Then, next thing you know, you've blacked out. When you awake, if you even do in fact... you will realize you are stranded in the middle of nowhere, surrounded only by huge forests. Although, some guests know where they are and help lead the way to the nearest town or city.

Past: Aiya's earliest memory is of when she was about 4 years old. She was in the water. She was breathing. She felt like a fish that belonged in the water. Yet, Aiya has no memory of her parents, or anyone who may have raised her before that. She soon came out of the water, and was found and brought to several foster homes, being raised by people she didn't know. She had always had a thing for water, and her parents always restricted her from it. Her hair even looks like it is made out of water sometimes. But, because of her unorganized childhood, she became very distant, and cold. No one felt the need to approach her, as she looked like a hateful person. Her only friend being Meyu.

Past: Meyu had a pretty normal past. She grew up with a large family. She had one sister, and two brothers. Meyu being the oldest of the bunch. Her parents never divorced, so everyone would think her family is perfect. But it is quite the contrary. One of her brothers had died a few months before she set off for Kineshisu. He was 8 years old. She doesn't like to talk about it, but if you want to know any more you would have to ask her.

Extra: Meyu keeps the fact that she is bisexual in the closet. Along with the fact that she is deeply in love with her best friend, Aiya. She has been for a long time, just doesn't know how to tell her, since Aiya is straight and all.

Just to ask what are they going to do after the train wreck just jump off and live the rest of their lives in the wild or?
 
Name: Rikimaru Yamazaki

Past: Rikimaru has a dark past. This didn't stop him from believing in his dreams. At one time he thought he could change the world but now it seems hopeless. Rikimaru always did well in school. Getting high grades and studying hard. Al though his father was an alcoholic to get over a recent divorce with his wife, his mother still supported whatever Rikimaru was doing next. Something was very strange about Rikimaru. He seemed to delve into some very evil and dark moments. His parents thought Rikimaru either suffered suicidal depression, or a bipolar mental disorder. At least that's what they told him. From a glance his family looked very normal, but really they're all just humanoids. A "special" family the Yamazaki was. All this came from a demonic aura that was giving off something fierce. Later on in life, as the living conditions got harder, and so did his fathers hits. He was more than a wife beater, he picked on his own children too. Luckily Rikimaru's mother didn't want to see him anymore so they moved to the city of Asaka to continue their lives. Moving farther into life, Rikimaru couldn't help but think of his dark past. Just pictures of his father would enter his brain from time to time. But he also moved out of the house as a happy and very intelligent man. University would be a fun, and pretty difficult year. Having to learn his powers the hard way taught him a lot, and maybe more than he wanted to know.

Extra: Rikimaru can come off as an intelligent slow talking, or quick to think kind of guy. Other times he may come off as hostile towards others. It all depends on his moods and influences. Some defining features may include the scar down Rikimaru's left cheek, or his white hair and red eyes.

Name:Adam “Sparky” Niclim


Age:17 (Graduated highschool younger than some)

Past: Adam’s family was a very strict one, they were all about brawn really. His father was an all-star athlete in high school and became a Highly ranked officer in the navy, leading his own ships and that sort of things, Captains blah. His mother was also in the military, in the navy too, they both retired due to “Unknown” reasons and his parents would never spill how they met, probably a bit too flashy or something. Adam’s family is of an American origin but they moved to Japan when Adam was young, being able to speak both English, Japanese, and Italian is quite a feat (his mother is Italian originally) for a young boy, but what surprised them one day was something that changed Adam’s life forever.


The Shock: Adam first discovered his ability when he was 6, as a child he was unsure of what he did but he would get scared and run to his parents screaming “Sparks! Sparks!” his parents were confused and worried at first but they just let it pass thinking it was a simply child fit, thus came the nickname “Sparky” the sparks thing, noticing his parents became amused by his, Adam started doing it regularly, still when he noticed the electricity though but it became a tradition, before he would go to dinner that type of thing, Until one day when he was 8, Adam was playing with his favorite toy (Batman) and was told to eat, Adam said he wasn’t hungry and refused but his father simply took his toy and put it on the top shelf, shunning him for denying it and ordering him to eat. Adam became a bit angry and went to shove his father, he accidently sent a shock through his father which sent him to the ground. His father was alright afterwards but his mother and father came to a realization. Adam had a superhuman ability.


Sparky: Around his friends Adam was now known as “Sparky”, he had a tendency of keep his powers as an at home thing but he couldn’t help the outbreaks it had at times, it brought good things and bad things such as some racist bullies or followers and stuff like that, but he usually stuck to his friends who have been with him for all this life, those are the people what didn’t care if he had a power or not. Or new people to the school, become their friends before they find out he has the power, He finally achieved his dream of going to a university for supernatural abilities, knowing there are others like him. But he would rather go to Todai, but he believed this college gave him new chances, that’s why he took the train

[For Kineshisu] Ability: Neuro-Electricity Manipulation:Adam is able to control his own body’s electrical discharges which are through the roof, and make it into a form of lightning that is completely white.


Extra: Sometimes when people come into contact with Adam they feel some static electricity, that’s why he usually carries a big rubber eraser at hand. Adam’s Favorite color is this shade of blue and this shade of blue (not very different but he likes them *shrug*)

Past: Hyuna grew up in a not so financially well off family, in fact, they were up to their necks in debt. As a child, Hyuna was very smart and had skipped multiple grades, but her family couldn't provide what the girl needed to reach her full potential. That is, until a program reached out to the family and offered to pay the complete tuition fee to go to Todai University, that was when Hyuna was sixteen. Four years later, Hyuna recently got her bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. Since Hyuna's family is just floating above the line of debt, Hyuna always has to take the train....

Sexual Orientation: He considers himself bisexual, but tends to lean more towards women when it comes to specific preferences.


Past: Jacob was born on November 1st, 1992 in the United Kingdom, in the city of Gloucester to a single mother. Jacob's birth father, Alexander Moore, had abandoned his mother, Rachel Moore, when the news was beheld of her pregnancy, leaving the young Jacob in her care. He was raised by her to be a mature, polite young man, one whose strength seemed unparalleled to any other young man as he was growing up - it seemed almost out-of-the-ordinary, in fact. He had always had the ability to accomplish fantastic feats of strength, excelling in his physical fitness and seeming to have a very high pain endurance - his small wounds, such as bruises and small cuts, healed at a noticeably more rapid rate. He was esteemed in his classes and had a relatively modest income to live off of during his childhood with his mother, and this fairly comfortable way of living made him a very modest man. He was never one to brag about how he was better off that most - in fact, his family would do what they could for the community, always participating in charitable causes and helping out as much as they could.


At age fourteen, Jacob's mother remarried to a man named Christopher Astor. Christopher was a heavy alcoholic, yet his this fact until the moment that the wedding was legal and that he was sealed into the family. As time passed, Jacob's mother learned to keep away from Christopher on nights he would be drinking, since she learned from a previous experience that he had abusive tendencies while under the influence. Even when this information had been kept safely away from Jacob's knowledge, he still had never been fond of Christopher - Jacob refused to call him by father or any other label such as that. Just by Christopher. As time passed, Jacob's physical aptitude, cognitive abilities, and overall focus seemed to noticeably sharpen and heighten, as well as his irritability and temper. It wasn't by much, but it was enough to be seen and taken into close attention by his mother.


At age seventeen, an event happened that turned the tides on Jacob's life. A night returning home from school turned into the reveal of the ability he was sent to Kineshisu for. On the night of December 3rd, 2009, Jacob came home to witness his mother being sexually assaulted and raped by a drunk Christopher.


This is when Jacob's ability was first triggered. His temper flared completely out of control, and he managed to separate Christopher from his mother before Christopher threw a punch at Jacob.


The punch, instead of causing the desired pain to inflict on Jacob, instead broke Christopher's wrist and caused no pain to be inflicted on the young man, as if Jacob was made of pure steel. Upon this event happening, Christopher attempted to take a knife and slice Jacob with it. He managed to shove the knife towards Jacob's chest - only to have the blade of the knife rebound and nearly snap in half upon contact, leaving not a single scratch on Jacob. Once these attempts were proven faulty, Jacob proceeded to move on to the offensive side as Jacob's mother phoned the police.


Once they arrived and Christopher (who, as a small tip, had nearly been beaten to death by Jacob from reasons unknown) was taken away, as well as after all legal issues had been sorted and Rachel Moore permanently separated from the now jailed Christopher Astor, Jacob began studying and examining the ability that allowed him to live through the life-changing night without a scratch or a bruise through secret tests kept from the knowledge of his mother. Although his temper began to cool slowly as the stress of an alcoholic stepfather was taken off of his shoulders, he began gathering information and evidence to eventually come to a very bizarre, yet accurate conclusion that he had a specific supernatural ability: in times of extreme rage or irritability, he is able to condense his anatomical molecules into the density of pure steel, allowing him enormous advantages in both defensive - his inability to be physically harmed or marked by attacks - and offensive - his strength level skyrocketing due to hardened and condensed muscle to give him incredible power in hand-to-hand combat - techniques. Although the idea seemed far-fetched, the tests had all proven this hypothesis to be correct, and he was astounded by this news.


Once he hit the appropriate age of eighteen, the knowledge of his new abilities gave him confidence in approaching the outside world, and he packed his belongings to release himself from the care of his mother and explore the new world outside of his hometown. After a year of traveling from place to place in the United Kingdom, he decided that he found no further comfort in remaining in his home country, and decided to travel to America to begin a new life.


He immigrated to the United States and began adjusting himself to the lifestyle presented to him in the new land, while also exploring and discovering ways and techniques to control his superhuman ability. He also began introducing himself to the people of the superhuman community, scouring for places that might accept him as what he was, and eventually found a fitting university that would graciously accept him without needing to cover up his abilities - Kineshisu University. At age twenty one and with relatively stable control over his abilities, he is now on his way to a new land, as well as a new university - only to find himself caught up in this mess.


University: Kineshisu


Ability: Molecular condensation. When desired, Jacob is able to condense his molecular structure into a desired density to withstand the presented situation. This density can range from that of brick to that of pure steel, depending on the present situation. Depending on the density that he presents, he is able to heal physical injuries at a quicker rate/prevent physical injuries all together (this doesn't include defenses such as flammability, toxic gases, or toxic substances that have already been injected into his system), increase the power of his hand-to-hand attacks, and increase his strength into nearly inhuman levels. Although, this ability is able to flare out of his own control whenever his temper snaps or his irritability rises too high, triggering an automatic condensation into the strongest density he can manage (a density that he is not able to achieve by normal manipulation of his powers) and therefore making him very dangerous and easily fatal to others whenever he is temperamentally shaken or unstable.


Extra: Jacob has developed a habit of smoking, and keeps a pack of cigarettes, as well as a lighter, on him at all times. He has a natural British accent, also. A general description of his personality. Jacob has always been a fairly calm man who can remain emotionally stable in stressful or life-threatening situations. He can become serious, business-like, and hardened whenever the situation calls for such measures, and does what he needs to do without so much as a bat of the eye - even if it means killing. He has a temper that is able to snap when irritated or provoked enough, and he becomes very dangerous in this temperamental state, an invincible force who needs a place to be left by himself until he cools down. He can form friendships with people he feels are trustworthy enough, and becomes overprotective of the specific people that are potent enough to touch his heart, willing to do anything to help them. Jacob does not tolerate sexual assault or any type of sexual abuse in any way, shape, or form, and will go to extreme lengths to prevent such an event from happening, as well as in defending victims of such events.

Jacob has black hair that he tries to keep fairly organized, thick and mostly messy. His eyes are a piercing, pale ice blue that could melt a heart or pierce straight through it. His complexion is naturally very pale, and he stands at a tall 6'3 in full height. He tends to dress semi-formally, in a black vest atop a white button-up shirt, black tie, and sometimes seen wearing white gloves, with black jeans/slacks and semi-formal black shoes.

Name: Kaede Nakamura

Past: Ever since he was young, Kaede was well aware that he was... Different, so to speak. His mother would never mention his father, which only further sparked his curiosity. Due to his lack of a strong fatherly figure in his life, he grew to be a bit distant, and rather over-protective of his mother and younger twin sister, Toshiko. He felt it to be his job to protect them, and he did it well. Kaede was, in fact, one of the most protective people one could ever meet. When he was young, about ten or eleven, he had gotten more than a little angry. This had triggered his 'difference,' as his mother called it. He was able to generate and manipulate lightning bolts. He was warned to keep it on the down low, and did so for the most part, but as he grew older, it became harder to control. Strangely, this was not the case for Toshiko. That's when his father stepped in. To assist him in learning how to control his power better. Kaede managed the man for a short while, but he soon got upset. Constantly asked him questions, like why he left, why he only then started making contact, etc. His father grew tired of the questions and gave up, being a short tempered man (this trait carrying on to Kaede), and he disappeared once more, much to his son's dismay. Deciding to prove his father wrong, he set off for Kineshisu - not without Toshiko, of course - and promised to make his father proud of him.


University: Kineshisu


[For Kineshisu] Ability: Fulminokinesis [Lighting Manip]


Extra: His violet eyes were a defining feature he inherited from his father, but usually used contacts to cover them. If he breaks his promise to himself, Kaede would like to go into the more human field of teaching. Math, in particular, as he's most fond of it.

Past: Toshiko was very young when she discovered her 'difference,' being simply six years old. She was eating dinner with her mother and brother, the father never really being in the picture, and as she picked up her fork, she was able to bend it with great ease. At first her mother just thought it was a trick of sorts, something she learned from a friend in school, but she was quick to realize this was not the case. Only a few years later did Kaede also inherit his 'difference.' Although most girls would be upset with an overprotective older brother, Toshiko was rather thankful for hers. She looked up to him so much, always thinking what he did was right and listening to him. Due to this, she avoided many potentially harmful situations, but she was also not exposed to many things most teenage girls should be exposed to. She's never been in a relationship before, and forget about parties. Despite this, she's very friendly and tries to help everyone she meets in some way or another. When her father had come to teach Kaede, she avoided him mostly. Not so much as a 'hello.' She was angry with him - and with good reason. After her brother decided to head off to Kineshisu, she tagged along with him. She figured it would be a good time for her to start off her writing career as well.

Extra: Although she knows Kaede would accept her no matter what, she's still a bit nervous to admit to him her curiosity about the same gender. Toshiko can be easily manipulated, but has strong morals she won't dare go against. She, too, got the purple eyes from her father, and although she likes them, since Kaede advised her to hide them, she did.

I'm not even sure how many more to be honest. But I've decided that I could start the thread now, and if new characters sign up they could just skip the train crash and wake up later, the rest of the survivors having gone without them.
