Soviet Panda

Red Panda Commanda.
Roleplay Type(s)
Connor stood looking at the warehouse, the rest of his Unit no doubt preparing to breach it at that moment. The little cult was no doubt aware that they were there, he certainly hadn't tried to hide his approach. But the mortal component did not matter, it was the demon. The former cult leader who had summoned it had bitten off more than they could have chewed, and was subsequently eaten. Not in the physical sense, it was never that straight forward, but they were a puppet now. The one in command was that demon. They still weren't completely sure what kind of demon it was, but it had certainly covered it's tracks well. Based off of that, Connor had to guess it was an Obscura class of some grade.

Clearing his throat, he shouts at the closed up warehouse. "This is officer Connor McKinley of the Summoning Unit. For those willing to listen, surrender now. We don't want you, we just want your boss. Any resistance will be swiftly put down. You have until the first shot." And with that, he lowered his head to his shoulder, and clicked the radio.

"Keep the mess to a minimum. I don't want much paperwork. Drinks for whoever Condemns the target. After the paperwork."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The cultists were not much to look at. Dirty, disheveled, and wearing mismatched clothing as they were it was a wonder they had even managed to gain the attention of a demon even remotely strong enough to be causing problems. But there was one thing that made them stand out, the fervent light of devoted fanaticism. Perhaps the demon had sensed that and chose to take command, blind devotion could get many far if they knew how to use it.
Clutching their makeshift weapons, mostly crudely made weapons such as barb wire baseball bats with only a smattering of handguns, they waited for the inevitable.
Guillermo De La Rosa
The former soldier was posted up just outside the door on the west entrance of the warehouse. Yesenia called in that they were ready on the east entrance and Guillermo followed suit.
He was in full gear tonight, his ballistic helmet/quad tube night vision combo adding extra weight on his neck than usual. It was a burden he was used to during his time in the military and SWAT but it still gave him a crick in his neck the following morning.
He wore a black, half mask balaclava to obscure his facial features and ballistic goggles to protect his eyes. They didn't protect from much but having some eye protection was better than none in situations like these.
De La Rosa kept his muzzle trained on the door and spared a quick glance to the people in his stack. Primarily, on his partner and contracted demon, Luyi. She was in her human form now, weapon at the ready, and eager to take out their approved opposition. He met the demoness's eyes briefly before giving her a nod and turning back to the door, lowering his stance and bringing his rifle to bear.
The veteran shut his eyes momentarily and called upon the power of his contract with Luyi. He seldom ever used its benefits outside of moments like this. It's power flared in his blood and his senses were dialed to 14.
Guillermo focused his sense of smell and hearing to detect who was on the other side of the door, how many, and where were they relative to the entry point. By his count, there were 3 suspects in the room waiting near the door. Their heartbeats, their breathing, shuffling of footsteps, the rustle of their clothes, the smell of the sweat and grime on them. It was all known to him now.
With practiced momentum, he raised his right hand and held up 3 fingers to indicate to the others that there were 3 tangos inside. The gloved appendage returned to his weapon platform and his grip tightened in anticipation for the breach.
He reached down and swung the door open into the darkness. He pulled his NODs down and let his eyes adjust before getting to work.
"Three confirmed suspects on west entry point. Bravo team is making entry now." Guillermo whispered into his comms.
Cautiously and slowly, the man began to pie off the room for any additional threats that he wasn't able to detect with his previously enhanced senses.
About halfway through the scan, Guillermo caught the second person he detected peaking around the corner of a bookcase. A loud "thud" signaled that the round had been sent into the room. The bullet committed its breaking and entry crime of the suspect's skull and he immediately dropped to the floor, body twitching from neurons firing in desperation and surprise. The soul had been vacated from its vessel instantly and served as an announcement to the others in the room that this wasn't the usual cops.
"Entry, Entry, Entry." The point man called out to his stack.
De La Rosa then snapped his aim into the deep left corner of the room and pushed into the darkness. The third suspect was hiding with a lead pipe in hand near the doorway. Two more rounds left Guillermo's rifle, striking the opponent square at center mass. The blood started pooling immediately on the cultist's disheveled clothing, appearing black instead of red through his NODs.
He didn't turn around to face the last opponent, the first one he detected behind now-opened door because he knew his partner was hot on his heels after he breached and would clear the right side. He also had no doubt she knew where the suspect was considering he borrowed her senses earlier.
"Left, clear." The former soldier called out.
Emeth Raleigh & Elithin Huwad
Location: Neighboring building on the north side overlooking east and west entrances.
Perched atop a neighboring building, Emeth stood watch. His eyes darted from left to right, scanning the area meticulously. He saw stacks of comrades blitz their way into the compound. It called him back to a time outside the Summoning Unit, where he watched from cameras and listened from radios.
A rush of smoke escaped his lips. In truth, Emeth loathed these missions. Stress tugged at his heart, and anxiety permeated throughout his gut. Another hit coursed down his pipes, clouding his thoughts and fears with a fog of chemicals. He held it in until stars danced in his view, experiencing a sense of fleeting contentment as it left his body.
To his right stood the daemon assigned to him. Or rather, bound in service—to serve humanity's needs and defy its kin. The creature appeared human, it had five fingers, two eyes, a nose, and a mouth. Yet, there was a quality to it that did not sing a human song. The part above its mouth was flat, there was a sparkle to its skin. For all its semblance to humanity, there was an abundance of differences.
A final drag and he tucked it into his pocket. There was a placcid silence between the two—an unspoken agreement not to encroach upon each other's domain. They were partners, united with equal stakes.
Amidst the chaos within, an individual emerged from the north entrance. Their steps were unsteady, yet propelled by determined strides. Emeth took to his binoculars, briefly studying the disheveled attire and metal bat of the escapee. Glancing at his partner, he sensed a shared focus.
The daemon did not chant, nor did some radiant energy escape its hands; instead, it fixated on the fleeing figure as if dissecting the essence of their being. Emeth recognized the sensation, that invasive exploration into a person's deepest fears and revulsions.
At that moment, he comprehended the trespassing thoughts—a fear of death, a dread of capture. The daemon seized upon it. Intertwining reality with fiction, materializing fear. Emeth remained unable to witness the process or how the suspect was neutralized. However, the anguished screams and desperate pleas for freedom elicited a trace of empathy within him.
The suspect writhed before collapsing, lifeless.
Officer de la Rosa's SA
The lights that surrounded the warehouse began to tremble, as various uniformed police officers stood their ground, dissuading bystanders from interfering with an active raid. With the perimeter cordoned off by the colored guards, it was time for the special-purpose task force to clock-in. Silvery eyes aglow, marked by a distinctive scar of a battle-hardened demon, radiating within the shrouds of its owner's dark, flowing hair. Teeming with malice, their silent and intense gaze matched that of Officer Rosa's night-eyes. Eons have come to past, and here the humans were, refusing to trascend their fragile form. Instead, they took refuge in their armored apparatus. A quaint way to adapt that was reminiscent of the warriors from many dynasties back. In fact, her superior officer reminded her of a certain Qin warrior that she possessed thousands of years past. Despite ridiculing the humans for their fragility, Luyi had chosen to adopt the apparatus of the common folks. A blend of immaculate white silk, complemented by a dark coat that hung past her fitted shorts. Separating her formal attire were thigh-highs that sat comfortably beneath her lap-length boots. Her left arm bore a metallic gauntlet to complement her defensive capabilities. Even for a demon that has seen countless battles against primordials and celestial entities, her attire bespoke of her fondness for human fashion.
The Subordinate Asset's name was then invoked by Rosa's nonverbal command, as she and Rosa split their stack on the entry point. Heeding the man's call, the demon's eyes glowed briefly, her primary senses resonating with the echoes that bounced off the environment behind the door. A trivial ability for Luyi that had been sought after by tech-savvy weapon researchers. By their standards, she would have been considered a walking arsenal with a heartbeat sensor.
As her body instinctively moved on its own to synchronize with Rosa's preparations to breach, Luyi's mind was elsewhere. It was a routine for the demon's mind to wander off - particularly so when the promises of a good meal were less-likely to materialize. The mere whiff of the desperate fanatics were not as enticing as the troubled soul of her contractor. But she was not one to pass up on the foreplay with appetizers. A methodical principle that distinguished her from the other demons whose baser instincts were often their own weakness. As the first casing was cast to the floor, Luyi paced herself steadily into the room and stood still. With the second suspect neutralized, she waited calmly with her eyes fixed on the operator's back as they pressed forward. After a brief moment of silence, the muffled blaring of Rosa's spear struck again. The sound of iron bolted back and forth in quick succession. The third casing finally followed the second, marking the demon's cue to execute a follow-up action.
With a swift step to her right, Luyi threw herself against the final suspect with haste. The sudden movement was followed by an afterblast that saw the victim's makeshift weapon snapped in half by the taotie's gauntlet. Lifting them up by the collar with her right hand, the demon pinned the helpless man against the wall. Her gloved appendages sustained the disarmed man's suspended state, choking him slowly. Soaking in the fear that was deeply ingrained within her victim's eyes, Luyi's finally raised her voice.
"Not exactly my palate, but this peon will do for now. Permission to ingest him?" She nonchalantly inquired, tilting her head sideway to catch Guillermo's eyes like a cat proud of its catch.
Guillermo De La Rosa
Detective Rosa slowly re-scanned the center of the room before pivoting on his heel and making his way over to his duo partner. The night vision tubes illuminated the dark corners of the room with green phosphor and revealed that everything seemed clear for now.
The only signs of life being the struggling coming from the terrified cultist to his right, slowly losing consciousness under the woman's grip.
Under normal circumstances, De La Rosa may have actually felt bad for this guy and maybe he even would in the near future. Senseless violence was never something that rubbed Guillermo the right way. But as of now, these guys were obstacles made with rampant fanaticism. Anyone that had been deployed in the middle east knew a thing or two about fanatics.
As a result, the mercy switch had been turned off for this one.
The detective glanced over at Luyi before taking a knee and pulling his hand away from the trigger to fish into one of his dump pouches on his belt. From it, the crinkling of a sealed plastic bag could be heard and a bag of bright orange was pulled out from within. It was a jumbo pack of Reeses Cups and the man then tossed it to the demoness without looking to see if she would catch it.
"I did promise you that on our next Op, I'd give you your favorite along with the green light to have a meal."
The veteran's hand returned to his rifle and he pushed deeper into the building with cautious, measured footsteps.
"Don't take too long. The big kahuna is still around here somewhere and this building isn't clear yet."
Guillermo's shoulder pressed up against the wall adjacent to the following door and readied to make entry again. He spoke quietly into his communication device and relayed his situation back to his team.
"Bravo team has successfully made entry on the west entrance. Immediate breach point has been cleared. Three suspects were taken down during the breach. Bravo two took a hit and is 'recovering their strength' before rejoining the sweep. I'm going to push deeper in and try to clear the western sector before linking up with Alpha (Yesenia) to take on the second floor."
Mr Evans & Azar'Miros
welp another day another job evans sighed a little bit old partly worn out rifle in his hand as he clutched it close waiting for.. someone to show up not the rest of the team no they where already here getting ready for the operation the demon was controlling the cults normal situation here or at least normal in this particular line of work. "oi you lazy paper bastard wake up" he'd yell unprofessionally at... his smart watch? Seemed almost strange, suddenly the note-taking app upon it forcefully opened itself up.
bursting forth from it in a flourish of burning paper a well-dressed humanoid formed hovering in the air as mind-numbing sigils danced around the horned demon who would after a moment land leaning against its partner. "Was waiting for you to call dear~ what can I do for you today" they'd say with a giggle.
"oh you know what we are supposed to do foll-" Evans sighed seems the others had started without them lovely. "Whatever let's move.." irritatingly the other teams already made it in Evans deciding to take another entrance back door he'd seen cover any sort of escape unlike the others there was indeed no one there. "this is Evans back door clear no one's here I'll keep myself posted incase of any stragglers"
LUYI
Officer de la Rosa's SA
Location: West Entry Point, Warehouse
With a flick of her left wrist, the demon caught the ration without much trouble. Despite their recent partnership, Luyi had already familiarized herself with Rosa's management method. He was spoiling Luyi tonight, and she was fond of it. If anything, his lenience served its purpose. As many kings would have done the same in his shoes. To govern an entire realm, their subjects must be tamed by the common courtesies of man. A rugged and troubled warrior, as Luyi often perceive the man, but not without his merits. In ancient times of strife and chaos, he might even have the potential to take on the form of a warlord. But with the winds of change remain a force to pay heed to, particularly so in an age where kingdoms and principles are replaced by enterprises and business ventures. Even patriotism must succumb to the profit-driven society. Far from an ideal world, but at least the chaos therein beckons action from the few that have yet to be swallowed up by their own greed. Who was Luyi to judge, when she herself was the very concept from which such a world could conceive?
Securing the officer's treat within her breast pocket, Luyi did not hesitate to follow suit. While prideful, Luyi was not one to pass on her favorite brand. Yanking the doomed victim towards her, she plucked his forehead from the rest of his apex. Scalped with a clean cut from her gauntlet, the splatter redecorated the particular area with magnificent scarlet. As the ligaments began to spew forth like a fountain, the demon gave in to the alluring scent and fed on the pulsing cerebrum. Chewing away like a ravenous beast starved for weeks, she indulged in its peculiar taste. Staining her attire with red, sticky matters, Luyi's eyes glowed. A mesmerizing trance came washing over her. Exhaling with excitement, Luyi was already nearly done scooping what was left of her subject's mind from the vessel that housed it. Even her officer-in-charge knew to keep his distance while she was gorging herself away - a mutually-established understanding that kept their partnership going without a hitch thus far.
Abiding by Rosa's words, she simply took her fill of the subject's brain, rather than taking her time with the rest of their body. But the feast was more or less an excuse that benefited them both. Luyi's fingers drifted past her scarlet lips, as the ancient scripts began to manifest itself within her vision. Darting her optics across the room, she reviewed her victim's last moments before the door came tumbling down. There was not much to go by, but it was worth a try to get the latest intelligence before they moved on.
"Could use a bit more salt..." She complained with a slight sigh to follow, before tossing a rag over the half-cracked, empty skull like a customer tossing a napkin following the end of their meal.
Although blood-stained and satisfied, Luyi was still capable of a sarcastic but focused smile at Rosa's remark over the radio. It was almost as if he was deliberately provoking her prideful side. Surely, any demon would get fired up by such a remark. Armed with a reason to, it was well within her interests to soak in such a comment with an amused imagery. Pushing the lifeless body to the side with her boots, the taotie rejoined Bravo Actual. Tracing his steps, while keeping her distance, Luyi's silvery eyes stalked the operator's back.
"So much for keeping the mess to a minimum. Maybe I should eat the Jiangjun (General) as well. Save you the paperwork." Luyi offered Rosa to take care of McKinley. "That reminds me, we're out of hot-pockets. You should definitely stock up on the way home." She added nonchalantly. But they both knew who was responsible for the diminished supply of Rosa's rations. Even so, the demon feigned ignorance, as if she was being a good roommate. Such was the price for being partnered-up with a gluttonous demon.
Finely Holt
Finely was getting hot in his equipment. The heavy duty gear could stop most caliber rounds you'd expect from outlaws, but it couldn't let go of heat. It was stifling, and the only relief he got was having his visor up. Not that he could have it up once the operation began proper, but he'd keep it up for as long as he could. Which wasn't long, for soon enough McKinley had given these cultists their ultimatum, and their leash was taken off.
From his entry point, he breached with a ram. Something loud, meant to get attention. While explosives could have more easily achieved that goal, they were also more destructive. And as the boss said, keep the paperwork to a minimum. With the door breeched, he slung the ram over one shoulder, and slung his mp5 around and ready. "Make sure one of them survives, Yog. Don't care what you do with the rest."
"Bravo 3 to Bravo 2, understood. Northern entrance breeched, no contacts. Moving deeper."
Yog
ben-jackson-demon-ben-jackson-1900.jpg
Yog was currently in her warrior form. 7 feet tall and an array of poky killy things. She liked it because she had an excuse to gut someone's heart out. "Got it." She said quickly but coldly in response. A cultist appears from behind a corner with a pistol. She grabs his head and crushes his skull with her strength. Throwing his corpse into a nearby wall. This was nothing new to her. She had faced other demons before. Mightier foes. But the taste and screams of mortals always satisfied her. She stood high as she scanned around. "6 contacts. 10 meters all around us." She then stopped for a moment. She could hear their fear. Their strained breaths begging for mercy. But they shall receive none. Her head lowered as she went into a quadrupedal stance. And a grunt of rage came from her. "Does it matter which one?" She asked in response to her handler's inquiry.
