The Stramstin Empire

Nyq

Fighting for turtles since the begining of life
"Reclaim our glory, take back what's ours."
-Stramstin motto

Official Name: Stramstin Empire
Demonym: Stramstin
Government Type: Absolute Monarchy, guided by a council
Leader(s): Emperor Mas'tartara

Galaxy: None, formerly Andromeda
Territory: Currently inhabits intergalactic space
Number of Systems: 0
Influence Rank: Currently 0

Capital World: The Grace of the Emperor (Stramstin Superdreadnought)
Population by Race: 100 billion Stramstin

Technology Rank: 9.5
FTL Travel: The Stramstin FTL functions by opening Einstein-Rosen bridges to their destination, allowing for near instantaneous travel through large distances. However, the time taken to open a bridge increases linearly with the distance of the destination, and Stramstin ships can only travel in sublight speeds without the use of Einstein-Rosen bridges.
Technological Development Focus: Military technology and FTL travel
Exceptional Technologies:
Advanced Biotechnology: The Stramstin Empire has a mastery over biotechnology, proven by their equipment. Stramstein weapons and armor are made out of mostly chitin, carbon nanotubes, and living tissues. The method which they sustained the lives of the cells are unknown, however scientists theorized that the Stramstin equipment undergo a process similar to photosynthesis to provide themselves with the energy needed to function at optimal capacity. Stramstin equipment were also known for being capable of autonomous self-repair and withers when captured by enemy units.
-Nokvatar Exosuits: Advanced exosuits wore by the infantry units of the Stramstin Empire. Composed of a muscular system made up of organic tissue, a highly efficient circulatory system, a DNA computer, and an outer layer composed of chitin and carbon nanotubes, the Nokvatar exosuits in nearly immune to all small arms fire, yet mobile enough for the user to traverse various terrains easily.
- S-cells: These genetically-modified cells form the basis of all Stramstin technology. They are easily manipulated, highly versatile, and are capable of sustaining themselves for a long time. These cells can form muscle cells that could exert a tremendous amount of force, regenerate lost or damaged parts without instructions or guideline, and hibernate for centuries or even millennia when not used.

Culture: Due to their isolation from the galactic community, not much is known about the Stramstin culture. However, it is apparent that the Stramstin are imperialistic people who are prone to use violence on those that disagree with them. Their society also follows what can be called a strict code of honor, and they tend to be extremely egoistic.
Government: The Stramstin are ruled by an Emperor, but his power is limited. The Council of War, which aids the Emperor, tends to all administrative manners within the Empire, but their decisions can be refused by the Emperor. The Emperor also has the right to declare war, while the Council doesn't.
Military: The Stramstin military tends to be composed of mostly vehicular units due to their relatively small population. Infantry were heavily armed and are regarded as elite units only to be deployed in extreme cases. Stramstin fleets are strong and have excellent offensive and defensive capabilities.

Ground Forces
Stramstin Scout
Starcraft-Zerg-4.jpg
A fast and agile organic, semi-sentient construct created by the Stramstins to fulfill one purpose: scouting. However, it is advised to not underestimate these small creatures, as their chitin armor allows them to survive a few shots from enemy small arms. Defensive positions are often overrun with endless swarms of these creatures within the first minutes of contact. The Stramstin scout possesses no ranged weapon of it's own. Instead, it uses it's teeth and claws, which are reinforced with carbon nanotubes, to tear apart it's enemies

Stramstin Drone
latest
Another basic semi-sentient construct of the Stramstins, the Stramstin Drone is created to provide support towards the Scouts and usually sweeps in to cleanse the region from surviving enemies after a Scout attack. These creatures are ferocious melee fighters, with claws reinforced with carbon nanotubes and an acid sac filled with highly corrosive acid that they could spit at enemies beyond their reach. The Drone spits it's acid load at a rate significantly slower than the Charger.

Stramstin Charger
latest
Just as the name suggests, the Charger charges towards enemy positions, unleashing it's acid barrage while doing so. By the time it reaches it's destination, the enemy usually are already weakened by the acid strikes, and the Charger proceeds to kill them with it's claws.

Stramstin Boomer
zerg_infestor_by_rambooo13-d4oik36.jpg
Named for their explosive tendencies, the Boomer usually charges heavily fortified enemy positions in swarms, detonating once they reached their destinations. The detonation of these creatures usually results in highly corrosive acid being splattered all over the enemies, and then havoc. With the enemy in chaos, the Scouts and Drones then march into the formations to finish the job.

Stramstin Observer
maxresdefault.jpg
The Observer was no means a frontline troop, although it is still a formidable foe if engaged. It commands the nearby Scouts, Drones, Chargers and Boomers, and observes enemy positions for information. This semi-sentient construct is capable of formulating basic tactics to use against the enemy. It also relays valuable intel, such as new enemy units, unexpected changes in enemy strategy, and also the encounter of new enemies, to the Stramstin High Command. This constructs wields two Stramstin Gauss Rifles.

Stramstin Disperser
Rachni_Worker.png
The Stramstin Disperser is a relatively simple construct created with only one purpose in mind: to carry and spread bioweapons throughout enemy cities. Their small size allows them to run rampant without detection, while their simplicity allows them to be mass produced. Any faction at war with the Stramstin are advised to be on the watch against the little green creatures, for they could easily kill off entire cities if left unchecked. The Disperser is usually deployed at worlds that the Stramstin is too busy to invade to weaken, or even annihilate enemy defenses.

Stramstin Artillery
latest
The Stramstin Artillery is created to provide artillery support for their allies. These organo-synthetic creatures fire blobs of plasma towards enemy positions, incinerating the enemy in plasma fire. However, this unit is relatively weak compared to other Stramstin units, and are usually protected by Stramstin Guardians.

Stramstin Guardian
zerg-story-thumb.jpg
Stramstin constructs created specifically for defense. Armed with Stramstin Gauss Rifles, these units uphold their duty with extreme zeal. Caution is advised when engaging these units, no matter ranged or close quarters.

Stramstin Harvester
maxresdefault.jpg
Created for the sole purpose of harvesting biological material from corpses, either allied or the enemy, the Harvester has minimal combat capabilities, and it's body structures are designed to accommodate as much biological material as possible. The Harvester consumes all biological material using it's arms, before digesting it to produce the most basic of amino acids. These amino acids are then condense within the body of the Harvester to form a thick protein sludge, which will then be transported to Stramstin ships for processing. These units are only sighted after the battle has long ended, and are usually escorted by a couple of Guardians. When threatened, the Harvester will use it's massive claws to defend itself.

Stramstin Regular
latest
The regular Stramstin troops, or constructs to be more precise. These units have basic sentience, but they can't take initiatives on their own in the battlefield. Armed with Stramstin Gauss Rifles, these units unleash terror upon enemy positions.

Stramstin Walker
maxresdefault.jpg
The Stramstin Walker is a modified Stramstin Regular designed to traverse large distance across harsh terrain. Their tough carapace provides adequate protection against the elements and also enemy fire.

Stramstin Stalker
tyranid_hive_brood_by_lordhannu.jpg
A modified Stramstin Regular designed for dense urban environments. It's legs have strong muscles for it to leap from platform to platform with relative ease.

Stramstin Psi
Hybrid_SC2_Cncpt1.jpg
A Stramstin unit created using Altaran DNA, the Stramstin Psi is a terribly powerful psionic unit capable of unleashing terror on it's enemies. It's psionics are capable of frying flesh and even tear apart softer metals.

Stramstin Berserker
latest
Created from a meld between Tunusi and Dachar DNA, the Stramstin Berserker charges towards enemy positions, tanking enemy shots for it's comrades with it's durable body. It's armed a Plasma Rifle.

Stramstin Shapeshifter
1523868412753.png
An extremely dangerous Stramstin unit not only on the battlefield, but out of it as well, the Stramstin Shapeshifter does exactly what it's name suggests: Shapeshifting. It is capable of shapeshifting into anything that is about it's size in a nearly perfect imitation of the original. It is the very first Stramstin unit capable of deep infiltration, although it still isn't the perfect infiltrator. The current model of the Shapeshifter has only limited intelligence, could only shapeshift for a few hours at a time, and isn't capable of operating alone without the guidance of a superior construct. But with time, it could be truly a deadly unit capable of wreaking mass havoc.

Stramstin Raider
Warhammer%2Bconquest%2Bthe%2Bgreat%2Bdevourer%2Bexpansion.jpg
A terrifying creature that specializes on melee combat, these fast constructs wander the wilderness of an enemy planet, killing anyone unfortunate enough to come across them while gathering data about the enemy. They could also be seen on the battlefield with their terrifying screeches demoralizing their enemies.

Stramstin Giant
350
A construct created solely to terrorize the enemy populace, the Giant is a towering unit with a height of up to 300 meters. It is also a durable unit capable of crushing enemy defenses. However, these Giants are rarely, if ever seen due to their massive costs.

Stramstin Spider
350
Functioning as the Stramstin equivalent of an armored car, the Stramstin Spider is fast and moderately durable. Comes with a Stramstin Gauss cannon to makes thing worse for their enemies.

Stramstin Salamander
350
A modified Stramstin Spider designed to transport troops. Travels slower but is still as deadly.

Stramstin Beetle
b466b2b7f4de8736e64b1da82d255529.jpg
The Stramstin equivalent of a light tank, the Stramstin Beetle is a fast and mobile construct designed for reconnaissance purposes. It's tough carapace allows it to shrug off most enemy small arms fire.

Stramstin Bastion
1523869124548.png
A new line of Stramstin vehicular constructs designed to support the infantry battalions of the Stramstin constructs. These units are more durable than the Beetle, but less so when compared to the Hardshell. Since these units don't come with a weapon, they usually charge straight ahead into enemy formations in a horde, creating a nearly unstoppable stampede when they do so. They usually come with a dozen or so Regulars riding on them.

Stramstin Hardshell
433px-Tervigon_%28Artwork%29.jpg
The Stramstin Hardshell is what could be called a main battle tank of the Stramstin. It's tough carapace allows it to sustain a few shots from heavy weapons, while it's Plasma cannon tears apart it's enemies. It is certainly a walking nightmare.

Stramstin Behemoth
1750521-attachment.php___copy.jpg
A towering construct that instills terror into the bravest of enemies, the Stramstin Behemoth's armor is so tough that it could withstand a sustained artillery barrage, although not for long. It's plasma cannons devastate the enemy postion as it slowly moves forward. However, the Behemoth is rarely seen due to the immense cost required to build it.

Stramstin Ghost
350
A stealth unit created by the Stramstin for infiltration purposes. The Stramstin Ghost comes with an advanced cloaking system and also monomolecular blades to silently take out their enemies. The drawback of these units is that they must reveal themselves before they strike.

Stramstin Piranha
185
An aquatic unit designed for combat in shallow waters. These units pose as harmless wildlife in the waters until an enemy unit passes by. It then leaps out of the water and tears the enemy into pieces using it's carbon nanotube reinforced teeth.

Stramstin Kraken
185
An utterly terrifying aquatic construct of the Stramstin that roams open waters, equipped with beam weapons. These creatures patrol large bodies of water, firing their weapons against any enemy unit detected.

Stramstin Flyer
250px-HiveCroneArt.jpg
An agile Stramstin construct armed with Gauss rifles, designed to achieve air dominance.

Stramstin Bomber
mutalisk.jpg
The Stramstin Bomber does just what it's name suggests: strategic bombing of enemy buildings and positions. Armed with a Plasma cannon, these units can rain terror upon enemy units. These units are usually escorted by a few flyers due to their weakness against enemy aerial units.

Stramstin Relay
latest
A construct that is near useless in combat and must be escorted by a couple of Guardians, the Stramstin Relay acts as the commander of Stramstin constructs and relays orders from High Command to the lower tier troops. It's presence also ensures that the low tier troops stay loyal and not go feral.

Stramstin Warrior
340
The basic elite troops of the Stramstin, these are the weakest real Stramstin units one would encounter on the battlefield. Equipped with Nokvatar Exosuits and Stramstin Beam Rifles, these units can tear through enemy opposition with ease.

Stramstin Vindicator
7129577087be580aff2a6dbfdb8261ec.jpg
Highly trained units designed as heavy infantry units, these units are slightly slower, but more durable than their Warrior comrades. Comes with a Stramstin Beam Rifle for maximum killing power.

The Exarchs acts as the commander of nearby Stramstin troops, with their exosuits outfitted with special communications equipment to relay their orders efficiently to the men under their command.

Stramstin Terrorgeist
350
A highly advanced walker mech piloted by a real Stramstin. Armed with Beam cannons, and are extremely fast on all terrains. Caution is heavily advised when engaging the Terrorgeist.

Spaceships
Nightshade Fighters
04cb7a17ba93754e345aba51120362fc.jpg
A small and agile craft designed by the Stramstin to act as fighter craft, the Nightshade fighters are relatively durable for such a cheap spacecraft, and are incredibly fast and maneuverable.
Size: 500 meters

Voidstar Destroyer
4c9e67587eb3851a2be811493004ae1e
A small but powerful bioship created by the Stramstin. Armed with an advanced chitin-carbon carapace, this ship could easily shrug off weaker enemy weapons. However, it is not as powerful as other Stramstin ships as it is designed for primarily mobility. Armed with Stramstin beam cannons, these things mix into enemy ship formations and wreck havoc.
Size: 2 km

Marrow Cruiser
latest
A deadly construct of the Stramstins, the Marrow Cruiser is armed with multiple destructive beam cannons. Although it moves slower than the Voidstar Destroyer, it compensates for that with it's more durable carapace, capable of surviving multiple hits from a Gauss Cannon.
Size: 5km

Darkbane Battleship
brood-lord.jpg
A terrifying organic construct of the Stramstins, the Darkbane Battleships is a massive spacecraft that is capable of tearing apart it's enemies with it's fearsome beam cannons. It tough carapace is capable of surviving multiple nuclear strikes.
Size: 8 km

Tyrant Dreadnought
LeviathanBattlecruiser_SC2-HotS_Art1.jpg
The ultimate Stramstin spacecraft, the Tyrant Dreadnought is armed with dozens of beam cannons to tear it's enemies apart. It's armor is way tougher than those of the Darkbane Battleships, and could shrug off a few nukes. However, it is the slowest of Stramstin ships, and definitely not invincible.
Size: 10km

History:
Not much is known about Stramstin history, but it is known that the Stramstin dominated the Andromeda galaxy millions of years ago. Due to reasons unknown, the Stramstin engaged the Keltakens in a brutal war, eventually losing it with the survivors fleeing the galaxy into intergalactic space. In the years since, Stramstin fleets would raid isolated settlements in the egde of the galaxy, disappearing before the natives could react. With the Keltakens gone and the galaxy's inhabitants weakened by constant strife, the Stramstin are coming back to reclaim what's theirs. This time, nothing will stop them from conquering the galaxy.

Goals and Hooks:
-Conquer the Andromeda galaxy and subdue it's current inhabitants
-Reestablish the Great Stramstin Empire
-Ensure the survival of the Stramstin fleets

For the natives of Andromeda, diplomacy with the Stramstin is nearly impossible unless you have proved your strength against them. Diplomats are advised to be harsh and demanding when dealing with the Stramstin, otherwise they will view your nation as a weak and unworthy one.

latest

Race Name: Stramstin

Homeworld: Rebotia

Lifespan: 175-210 Earth years

Reproduction: The Stramstin reproduce by laying eggs. An average Stramstin individual takes 60 years to achieve adulthood.

Physiology: The Stramstin are a bipedal insectoid race, with their bodies covered in a soft chitin exoskeleton that provides some protection, yet allows for the individual to be extremely mobile. They are also one of the rarer races that have four eyes.

Psychology: The Stramstin tends to not think with words, but with images. This ability gives the Stramstin an almost eidetic memory. However, it comes with the drawback that the Stramstin holds grudges for a long time, not trusting people that had offended them in the past, and holding onto past glory and not willing to focus on the present. Thus, the Stramstin generally adapt to changes slower than other races.
