The sea of mind and the Forest Witches

Hand of Destiny

The sea of mind that acts as the forest witches paradise enables a witch attuned to it to achieve anything they set their mind to it.  Does anyone else think there may be some merit in using the shaping rules from the fair folk book when adventuring within the sea?

As I remember it, there's a fundamental difference between the Sea of Mind and Shaping. With Shaping, the character molds reality to his will. In the Sea of Mind, the underlying conciousness of the Sea molds reality for you. You're capable of doing fantastic things, but at the Sea's discretion, and not your own.

Of course, it has been a long time since I read Outcastes.
