The Repsapiens

Vol

Pᴇʀsᴇᴠᴇʀᴀɴᴄᴇ
Species Name: Repsapien

Home Planet: Gast - Once was a healthy planet teeming with greenery and numerous soft patches of soil. Now all that life had been eaten away and the planet had been transformered into a rocky and infertile environment. Just like how the Repsapiens' love it. The atmosphere is clear and lacks oxygen. One eerie pale green "moon" constantly looms over Gast, giving the desolate landscape an odd alienating glow.

Lifespan: (Measured in Earth Years): Adolesence - 100-325 || Adult - 325-800. || Elderly - 800-1288

Gender Ratio: 37% Male, 63% Female.

Life Cycle: Males suprisingly live longer than the females. However they can't reach that milestone without the assistance of their counterpart. They reproduce similar as to the humans, for they have the necessary sexual organs.

Appearance: Looks like the stuff from a child's or an easily frightened adult's nightmares. From a young age, Repsapiens stand at an average of 7 feet and 2 inches and continue to grow until halfway through their adulthood. The tallest recorded height was 13 feet and 4 inches. Humanoid, though they lack proper arms, facial features and flesh of one of Earth's humans.

Repsapien do not have ordinary arms, instead, their arms are structured in a shape of a scythe's blade - a sharp tip of bone (tougher than a rhinoceros' horn) replace the part where hands should be. Their limbs are lanky and are often disproportionate (one arm is longer than the other, a leg is shorter, etc). As for their facial features, here's an image of what their face (and body) would look up close [may be triggering for some, so view carefully]

A provoked and hostile Repsapien: Aggressive characteristics show when their two extensive tube-like tongues reach forward towards the oppressor's direction.

For their lack of sight, their tongue, gaping mouth and ears are the instruments they use to know their surroundings. However they do not have anything to help them with their sense of smell. Repsapien flesh takes on the appearance of a human's, but their texture is smooth and rubbery. Males do not have facial hair, but females only have a few tufts here and there.

Culture:

Repsapiens are fairly peaceful and docile despite their horrifyingly intimidating looks. The reason why they aren't extremely aggressive or hostile is because the females keep the males in check and discipline them. The females are considered to be the brainiacs whilst the males are the strong and somewhat dim soldiers. They move as, what humans would call, a "horde", and prefer to not separate  often, unless its for strategic purposes.

There is no specific social hierarchy, since knowing who's the leader (often a female) and the lowest of the low is built into their mentality. Their main form of staple food are decomposing or decaying items; you can compare them to vultures. But if there's none of that, like on Gast, they will substitute with any kind of minerals from the ground (rock, iron, etc).

Their general form of communication is telepathy with one another, though if distressed, angered or with another species, they emit incoherent screeches, warbles and "coughing/hacking" sounds. With the help of Earth's translators, these noises are made up to be only a few words at most.

History:

*Allies: (Species the are allies with)

- To be added (currently none)

*Enemies: (Species they are enemies with)

- To be added (currently none)

Powers&Abilities:

Echo Location - In combination with their "unintelligentable" warbles and selective sensitive hearing, they get around using this ability like how a bat would. Also useful for hunting prey or locating something.

Lashing tongues - Their range of reach is incredible, due to their two extensive tube-like tongues that protrude from their gaping mouths. For combat purposes, they act like how an anaconda would do to their prey, squeeze them until they're paralyzed. The multiple shorter tongues they have are used to taste the air, which enhances their tracking skills.

*Fun Facts:

Variations: (Variations in physiology the species might have)

*Anthem:

I'll finish this up soon! School's startin' up so I'll be busier than usual.

This is great. All of the other species were based off of something else, but this one is just... out there.

Oh, thank you! I'm really glad you like them xD. At first I was unsure since mine seemed a bit bland, but now I'm feeling much better about it :D
