History of the Red Lions Gang

The Red Lions gang did not start out as most gangs do in Sun City. It was not a tool created by a rich family to achieve further power. It was not made originally to take over the city itself. When the Red Lions were formed, killing was the furthest thing from the mind of its leader, Connor Alistair. The true origins of the modern Red Lion gang can be traced to the slum districts of Sun City. Large 'neighborhoods' grouped together, built mostly from scrap metal and anything else the poor people there could get their hands on. The police forces of Sun City rarely traveled to the Slums, and in their absence, numerous gangs, made up of adults and teenagers, rose to prominence in the slums. The wars fought by the gangs for supremacy were bloody, and a day did not go by where the slum woke to find bodies scattered across the street from the most recent skirmish.

It was in this environment that Connor Alistair was born. His family had fallen on hard times, and had lost their home in the city, and were forced to make their new home in the slums. By the age of five, Connor was already scavenging from back alleys to help keep his family fed, and by the age of eight, he had killed his first man, a drunkard who tried to take a fresh loaf of bread from Connor. When he turned eleven though, his life changed from the minimal security he knew. His parents were killed by one of the rising star gangs in the slums, forcing Connor to leave, and with little alternative, he joined a gang to survive. He stayed with the small group for several years, eventually rising to take charge of the gang. Under his rule, his gang carved out its own territory in the ever shifting Slums, establishing a safe haven for anyone inside it. It was at this time, that the people of the slums gave Connor's gang their first name, The Lions. The safe haven came to be known as the Lions Den, where anyone who promised not to kill or steal could survive, under the Lions protection. A noble goal, but noble goals rarely survive in the slums.

When Connor turned seventeen, a small group of orphans living in the Lions Den strayed into a rival gangs territory. This other gang knew better than to try and enter the Lions Den themselves, but they took the chance to prove their 'superiority' over The Lions. They butchered the children, and returned their heads to The Lions. War began the next day. Connor led the Lions into the rival territory, and within a week, every enemy gang member, and anyone who got in his way, were killed. Other gangs saw the sudden change in power as a threat, and sent their warnings to Connor and the Lions. Connor went to war with them too. The next four years were known as the Blood Letting. Hundreds were killed in the bloody warfare that spread across the slums, as numerous gangs were crushed under the Lions unrelenting advance. Sun City's mayor even took notice of the events, and sent a small detachment of law enforcement officers to bring an end to the struggle. Connor sent back every one of the officers badges. Their bodies were never found.

After four years of fighting, every gang in the Slums had been crushed by the Lions. The death toll in the fighting had reached well into the thousands, as countless civilians were caught in the crossfire. Connor, changed by the war, turned his back on the original purpose of the Lions, to protect those in need. Thinking of all the blood that had been shed, Connor decided to rename his gang, and from that moment forward, they were known as the Red Lions. The following months saw the rapid expansion of the Red Lions ranks, and eventually, Connor turned his sights to conquest and power, and Sun City would give him plenty of both.

All fine except for a minor detail. The city was only in the middle of the revolution when he was 25. He would be 22 when Connor was born. So either age Connor 3 years ooor say he was 3 when all the slum events and history began. That will make everything flow really nice. :)
