Blackadder
Inquisitor Ordo Hereticus
General Information
Name: The Raker
Ethnicity: Kelen
Origin: Fief Maerlyn (Capital City)
Age: 19
Clan: Uthar
Appearance
The Raker is rather square and sallow faced, hair greasy and dirty brown thinly drawn hair. Hints of discoloration show in the skin.
Background
Whatever his real name was, most people knew him by his title: the Raker. He was the carter of dead corpses, one surrounded by the grave, as his father did, and his father and his father... perhaps it was fate that he would be made an Uthar. His sire certainly felt it so, when they encountered each other one night, the Raker having gone to retrieve a victim of feeding. His sire followed, sensing a kindred being... and the rest speaks for itself.
Hopes
Basic immortality is something that draws the Raker's fascination. Having inherently known that everyone dies, rots and is buried, the ability to escape that chain he finds the most wondrous thing.
Fears
His place was isolated in society, but at least it had the benefit of being something nobody was particularly inclined to take from him or indeed bother him too much. The Raker now is facing the fact that his very existence creates threats by the score.
Regrets
The Raker lost the memory of his original name as part of the mind-warping process of his transformation, and while he can place his parents' faces, their names too have been disappeared. It feels as if some part of his identity has been destroyed.
Connections
Due to the grim nature of his appearance and occupation, the Raker has certainly no friends, and not really anyone to call his ally. He has however, had working professional relationships with the local magistrates and guardsmen. He made the bodies available if investigations were required or families wanted to claim them, and he had his aging notebooks and records that the forces of law found useful every so often.
