Every year the queens assassins die whether it's in battle or if the assassin makes the queen angry and she orders someone to kill them, so every year she holds a competition to see who qualifies for a certain strength.
She gathers a group of assassin's, tired warriors, thieves, criminals, to compete in this competition. These criminals and warriors must take one test every week.
There will be five tests;
1. Agility (Taken by @Quiet Is Violent ) - There will be an obstacle course to prove their speed and agility. The first one to cross the finish line is the one to qualify for agility.
2. Strategy (Taken by @Azul ) - The assassins must go through a maze full of tricks and traps. The first one to get to the end is the queens assassin for strategy.
3. Poisons (taken for @DGLong ) - There will be a line of wine with poisons in them, except one. The assassins must align the wines from the non poised one, to the most dangerous poisoned one. The first one to finish and get it right will be the queens assassin for poisons.
4. Thievery (Taken for @MarietheInkling ) - The assassins must climb the side of the clock tower to the top. They the first one to get the diamond necklace at the top is the queens assassin for thievery.
5. Battle (Taken by @DemonicPrincess ) - The final tests includes the assassins dueling a master swordsman. The swordsman will not go easy on the assassin. The first one to knock the sword out of the swordsmans hand is the queens assassin for battle.
If they manage to survive for more than three years they are sent free to live wealthy where ever they please.
My character will be the main assassin, the one who lived while the last ones died. Though she was alive still the queen needed more. So my character will be your characters trainer (kinda). She will tend to wounds, help them battle (sparring), and get them in shape. She is also the most dangerous one, having had to learn all of the qualifications after an assassin died.
