Undying God of Eurobeat
The massive ship drifted across the universe at a somewhat leisurely pace, expertly gliding around gravitational fields and rogue asteroids on its journey to humanity's new home. The people inside were going about their daily business, as they had been doing for several centuries now, under the watchful eye and friendly guidance of 'Ray Systema'. They were happy, confident that the tradgedy that had fallen upon the other ships in their fleet would certainly not happen to them.
'Valentine' ,as stated by Systema, 'was completely indestructible.'
----------
The cryochambers, once drowned in the silence of inactivity, began producing loud, mechanical sounds as the locks were released and the temperatures brought back up to a habitable degree. Those inside were waking up at various different speeds, some quickly snapping into consciousness and some slowly dragging themselves up from the haze of cryosleep. Regardless of this, the cheerful voice of Ray Systema was heard by all as she explained the situation in a somewhat insensitive way, speaking of the disaster on the other ships in an artificially happy tone.
----------
Lorithia's slouched position seemed to sink further still as Systema told her the story, not missing out any of the details. She would rather have the AI be honest with her, at least, and it was important to shed light on these terrible events. The story was interrupted occasionally by Systema insisting that such a tragedy would never occur again and that S.S. Valentine was absolutely certain to reach its destination but, unsurprisingly, the General was having none of it. Still, there wasn't much she could do about the situation but play along until she realised what was going on. Perhaps the other pioneers would be a little less dazed.
She adjusted her posture and rubbed her eyes, trying her hardest to look less like someone who had just woken up from centuries of sleep and had foregone their morning coffee.
