One power demons possess is to see into any being's future death. They use this power to select a soul, looking into the way they died and their worst fears. They offer their soul(this is once they die) something that will put their worst fear to rest, but never say what they're going to give them. They make it sound so nice,as if all fears would wash away, and trick or lure the soul into agreeing. Once the soul accepts this offer, the demon resurrects them and gives them a power that mocks the person's death. For example, if someone died from suffocation, they might be given the power to manipulate air and wind, thus mocking that they died from lack of air, but now control it. These beings are called phantoms, the name coming from what many people say about them "cheating death". Although not ghosts at all, the name is somewhat fitting and stuck to society, becoming the permanent term. The mortals of this world fear the phantoms, for such great power could lead to such mayhem. Hunters,as they are called, are the people who train most their life to rid the world of phantoms, killing them off until society is peaceful once again.
Important note from me /Rules
No one side is better than the other. You don't have to pick one side, you can have as many characters as you want as long as you can manage them. Just remember that every person on each side has a different backstory. You can also be someone other than a hunter or a phantom, but please let your character make sense like a demon or person in power. No normal society people unless they have an interesting backstory or have any significance to the rp. No god modding. Kissing is ok, but don't go any farther than that on the thread. Mild cursing is fine, but don't go throwing around profanity unless for a specific reason or emotional significance. To decide the outcome of an Ic fight, dicuss who should win Ooc, but no arguing/drama Ooc, or I will decide the victor. No Ooc drama in other situations, as well. That about sums up the rules, so if you read this, please put the title of this thread in the other section of the application form.
