Despite her mediocre height, Stella has a loud personality to make herself stand out and be heard. She's tactful with her comments, but sometimes disregards feelings in favor of getting her wisecrack or morbidly funny quip into a conversation. She's rather bright and bubbly, and tends to get into mischief. The sparkle of her eyes is a clear indication of when a plot is is brewing. Don't take her vibrant personality to be a weakness--there's more to her than just giggles and smiles.

Joseph Vijay, her father, is a well known wizard in the wizarding world--known for his diplomacy within the International Magical Office of Law at the Ministry of Magic. Anjana Davis is her mother, a muggle doctor. Her step-mother, Megha Vijay is the family's matriarch, in charge of running the household. Her mother's side is relatively small, while her father is related to many familiar faces in the wizarding world. Maya has one sibling, her little sister Rohini, who is a second year at Hogwarts. Both sisters are very close.

[div class="tag yellow"]history[/div]The Vijay family has long been written as one of the pureblood families of the wizarding world, even going so far as to feud with other families who dare and contest that fact. But in reality, all is not pure within the family. When Joseph Vijay had an affair with muggle Anjana Davis, the little girl they welcomed into the world was the black mark within the family tree. She would soon be corrected by Joseph marrying another pureblood, Megha, and conceiving a pureblood daughter from that matrimony. But if you ask anyone from the Vijay family about it, Stella is and will always be pure of blood. Her father's distance was never quite understood by Stella, who didn't realize that her parentage was the isolating factor.

Her father always examined her with a more critical eye than he did for her younger sister. Throughout her Hogwarts schooling, Stella was pressured to rise to a level that she wasn't quite sure she could attain. But everything, from her grades to her Gryffindor sorting disappointed him. When she found out that her father had allied himself with Voldemort, she felt a shock of betrayal, turning to the Order's arms for solace and comfort. Her connection with her father, however, may be the key to her acting as a double agent.

Personality:
Leonardo's confidence and vanity are his most prominent traits, he carries himself as if he believes he is better than the people around him - a belief instilled in him by his family from a young age, he believes looks and blood status are important and that one cannot get by on merit alone. This has also led to him carrying himself with a suave sort of charm, flirting and joking with others and sweet talking professors to get what he wants - even if it doesn't work on all of them. He's also known to be a bit of a flirt - he tends to move from one person to the next. He has a sharp tongue and a sharper mind, enjoying talking circles around people and being the best at what he applies himself to - whether that be a lesson or an extracurricular activity or a simple bet between himself and his housemates.

Leonardo is also a somewhat spoilt young man, the eldest child in a wealthy pureblood family - his parents made sure he wanted for nothing although this meant they were noticeably absent from his more formative years and Leonardo was left in the care of various tutors and governesses until his parents had his younger siblings who Leo then had for company. His Mother often took him to social events and taught him the importance of networking with other families and the intricacies of social politics - what minor things were slights and subtle digs against others and which families did or did not get along. Whilst his Father taught him to place their family above others, taught him his place in the world and told him how to reach for it - by any means necessary. He's not above using underhanded tactics or manipulating those around him to get what he wants although that isn't unique to him - it's simply a trait that has developed and grown during his time in Slytherin house.

Biography: Leonardo has an average sized immediate family, two siblings and himself alongside his two parents - his extended family was too large for him to properly comprehend due to the amount of second cousins and cousins three times removed and all the distant relatives that were a part of being in an old pure-blooded family as at some point you end up related to most of the others because of historical arranged marriages and everyone remaining within the same social circles. But he tends not to care about his extended family beyond aunts, uncles, first cousins and grandparents.

His parents are there for him in name and finance only, they care - logically he knows that but they're a busy pair and so there isn't always time for the touchy feely moments or bonding. His family is a somewhat well known one with both of his parents occupying relatively high profile jobs and both parents being from well off families - his Mother worked in the whilst his Father . His parents shared responsibility quite evenly and each were in charge of different things but neither really took a part in raising their children - passing that job onto various tutors and governesses and nannies. He has two siblings, his little sister Lena who is in her third year of Hogwarts and his little brother Oliver who has a year before he would be able to attend. He dotes on his siblings and they mean the world to him, he'd do anything to protect them and has almost been a parent to them in the wake of their parents absences.

His families reputation led to pressure being placed onto Leonardo, his parents placing expectations he had to meet onto him before he had even started Hogwarts - he had to meet the right people and make the right friends and maintain their family's pristine image. His Father didn't care if he had to stay up all night studying for a test because someone from another house had beaten him, all his Father cared about was that he did the best - that he made their family look good. And so Leonardo strives to be the perfect son in the hopes of making his family proud - he knew what the upper social circles were like, vultures laying in wait for the tiniest mistake to be noticed and pounced on and exploited so someone else could climb higher up that invisible ladder.

It was no surprise to Leonardo that his parents had sided with Voldemort, he would have been more surprised to find them siding with the self proclaimed "Light," side. His parents had always prided themselves on the fact they succeeded, on how ancient both of his parents families were and how they had always prevailed - because as far as his parents were concerned they were better than the rest of the Wizarding world, better than the blood that had been dirtied and tainted and mixed.

He wants to be a good son, do what his parents think is right but there's a small slither of doubt in the back of his mind that eats away at him as he watches his younger siblings talk about mudbloods with an acidic venom he hates to see - he hates seeing the world around him fall into chaos but he can't change his mind. He won't change his mind. His family come first, before anything else and he's going to make sure his siblings survive.
