Original Name: Megumi

Spirit/Current Name(s): TBD (Currently she's being called #4389)

Vessel Name(s): TBD

Weapon/Item Appearance(s): TBD

Age: Looks to be 13, died in 1967

Gender: Female.

God’s Greatest Secret: Her real name is Megumi Sarumoto. As a human she was a product of rape. Her mother was too ashamed to go through abortion, so the woman raised her. However, her mother never loved her either. Though it was clear to her mother tried , her resemblance to her villainous father was too much and that often resulted in the woman taking her anger out on the man’s daughter. It was never on purpose and her mother often apologized afterwards. The young girl even welcomed the abuse if it meant some of her mother’s pain would go away. She loved her mother and figured she could take it all in silence. However, one day, her mother took things a bit too far and she died. That was pretty much it. She never really made any friends and her life wasn’t anything to brag about.

Afterlife Experiences: The next thing she knew she was named Sachi and taken in by Jizo Bosatsu. She had no memories of her past or even who she was. She didn’t care. Jizo was her world. Her god. He gave a name and a place to belong. For 10 years, Sachi served Jizo with many other children regalias in Takama-ga-hara. She learned many things about gods, spirits, and phantoms. She was taught the duties and abilities of a regalia, especially excelling in songs. It was only when she became dead that Sachi found her life. She had friends. She had a duty. A goal. Sachi was given everything she could ever want in Takama-ga-hara so long as she kept to the rules:

Don’t interfere with the living world.

However, Sachi’s curiosity got the better of her one day and she snuck away to the living world to play. That’s how she’d met him…the human boy called Yuu. For some reason he could see her when others couldn’t. They became friends and they often played together. Yuu was different from the other regalias. He was more lively. More fun. For Sachi, it was her first love. However, Yuu’s life wasn’t all that wonderful as Sachi found out. He was often bullied by the neighborhood kids. The biggest and meanest was a boy called Ren Takeda.

Sachi couldn’t stand to see her friend hurt. She grew furious at Ren and started haunting him—potted plants falling near where he was, lights-blinking out, shattered mirrors, etc. Her goal had been to frighten the boy to never bothering Yuu again, every malicious action blighting Jizo. When she pushed Ren down the stairs in retribution for breaking Yuu’s glasses, it was the last straw. Sachi had crossed the line.

It was only thanks to the absolution ritual performed by her friends that kept her soul pure and Jizo’s intervention that kept the human safe from harm. Sachi deeply regretted what she was done. However, she refused to sever her ties with Yuu. He was her friend and she didn't want to forget him. It was that day that Jizo released her from the name binding them together. There was sorrow and kindness in Jizo’s eyes when he spoke to her.

“You remind me a bit of my friend. If you love a human so much, you should remain in the living world. But be forewarned, Child, the near shore holds nothing but suffering and grief for beings of the far shore such as ourselves.”

For 40 years, Sachi lived up in the attic of Yuu’s home in Kyoto, protecting the house and the boy from harm. However, as Yuu grow older he stopped being able to see her. He gradually began to forget her. Sachi watched the boy she loved grow up, get married, and start his own family. She was happy, yet sad and lonely. She knew she had to leave…but she couldn’t. The bond on her part had grown too strong. Sachi knew the only way she way she would be able to leave is if Yuu died or a god came and severed her ties.

This was eventually done by members of SSA and she’s been a spirit registered at the Kyoto branch ever since.

Current Relationships: Jizo Bosatsu (former god), Nana, Spirits of SSA in Kyoto, Kagemi, Hikarumi, Hiname (met), Kami_X (she helped him once, though can’t be named by him again since she was released afterwards).

Personality: She’s a self-centered romantic with a vibrant personality and voice. She likes pretty things. Loves to sing. Paints her nails any color she chooses, though she has preference for darker colors. Her favorite time of day is night and she enjoys singing the younger spirits to sleep. Her lovely voice is her pride and joy—though she’s more often seen singing alone to drive away loneliness. Jizo Bosatsu taught her that keeping herself happy will prevent any god she’s bound to from being blighted and she holds herself to a high standard in that regard. Despite her somewhat flippant and demanding demeanor, she is actually quite caring of those she likes and a hard worker when it comes down to it. While she is deeply loyal to anyone she’s grown attached to, she also has a tendency to get a bit clingy and obsessive. The neediness derives from her past fear of being unloved, though she herself doesn’t realize this. Due to being spoiled by Jizo Bosatsu, she’s quite picky and has higher expectations of gods, hence her inability to find a permanent home. She’s also grown attached to SSA and likes the people there—which plays a part in why some gods seem to find her insufferable.

Bounded God (s): TBD

Skills/Abilities: In human form, she is able to use Borderline and various Songs including: Song of Healing (a chant that heals the target of their non-blight related wounds), Song of Sleep (a chant that makes the target sleep), and Song of Misfortune (a chant that brings bad luck to the target). Song of Happiness (a chant that drives away sadness and weaker phantoms for a brief period). She also knows how to perform an ablution, having done so for many spirits who’ve come to SSA.
Strengths/Virtues:

  • loyal
  • empathetic
  • loving
  • diligent
  • playful
  • Experienced and very good with songs.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Obsessive
  • Needy
  • Picky
  • Selfish.
  • Stubborn
  • Has a hard time learning Severance.

Fears: Belts and whips. She also can't bear watching kids be abused.

Umi Sano (Former Name) -- A free spirit that hangs around the 2nd floor girls' bathroom of Shirotome High. She is friends with Rika (who is able to see her) and seems to hate boys, which is why the god living in Computer Clubroom can't seem to convince her to become his regalia despite numerous attempts at flirting. She's one of the school's 12 mysteries as boys entering the 2nd floor girl's bathroom (or trying to) usually end up suffering some sort of ailment or feeling as if they've been kicked in the nuts. Kami_X first called her Pinky, which she later altered to Momo.

Nikushimi - One of the new human-like phantoms that made a for themselves to the Heavens 10 years ago as an enemy to the gods. Seems possess the ability to command lesser phantoms and open vents, allowing her phantom brothers to wreck havoc. As a phantom, she is drawn to all negative emotions, though she appears to have a fondness for lust. She has a huge wanted poster up on Takamagahama. Wanted dead, that is.

Name: Yoshio Seta
Age: 36
Gender: male
Race: Human

Yoshio was once a leader of a small group of AFAH extremists. They would go about destroying shrines and beating those that would not renounce their faith and trust in science. He truly did believe he was doing the right thing, and only later would realize he was becoming the exact same thing he shamed others for having been in the past. Yoshio likely would never had not realized this if not for forgetting that only the most extreme of extremists can lead extremists. Thus he would find his limit when a beating of a priest got out of hand and ended up killing the man despite Yoshio trying to stop his followers. This show of weakness lead one of them Taro Umeda to usurp him and have him framed as the one that caused the killing. With the rest of the group following suit the trial was short and Yoshio was given 10 years of prison to rethink his life. Over time he has had something of a spiritual awakening, but never converting fully. With his sentence almost up Yoshio has learned Taro has become a big shot cop and knows the traitor will come after him one way or another. Yoshio might just be on the verge of falling to the faith he formerly denounced if it will save him.

Yuya Goto: Being the oldest of the 5 Yuya sisters meant that Goto's childhood wasn't actually much of a childhood. Immense responsibility was placed on her shoulders, especially after Sumiko was born. Her middle school through high school years were spent either studying to meet the high standards her parents had for her, and to help them care for her other siblings. It is precisely because of this that even though she spent a lot of time around her siblings she didn't grow really close to any of them outside of the second child Ami. Goto would go on to graduate college with a degree in business. With that degree in hand she has spent the last 6 years working at a respectable marketing company.

Yuya Ami: Ami is the second oldest of the 5 Yuya sisters and thus she did not have the same responsibilities as Goto not did she have the freedom that Shizuka and Shizuku had. She would still have to help with her sisters and maintain a good standing in school but she also was allowed to have her own free time. Taking full advantage of that free time she found an interest in coding and electronics. Eventually this interest would develop into a passion for the craft and after graduating university she would go on to work for a cybersecurity company where she still works. She is the sister closest to Sumiko, as Goto spent most of her time helping with the overly energetic twins, Ami was left with caring for Sumiko.

Yuya Shizuka: The third Yuya sister and only older then her twin by a minute, a fact that she has never let her younger twin live down. The twins unlike their older sisters had little to no responsibilities or expectations placed on them. As long as they listened to their older sisters and parents then they could do pretty much what they wanted. Considering that they always were bursting with energy, this made them a very rambunctious duo. As She grew older Shizuka became more laidback, taking an interest in fine arts. She wasn't the best but she liked it enough to keep with it, ultimately that interest would carry her into art school of which she recently graduated from

Yuya Shizuku: The fourth Yuya sister and only younger then her twin by a minute, a fact that she has never heard the end of from her twin. The twins unlike their older sisters had little to no responsibilities or expectations placed on them. As long as they listened to their older sisters and parents then they could do pretty much what they wanted. Considering that they always were bursting with energy, this made them a very rambunctious duo. While Shizuka picked up painting and other forms of arts, Shizuku found her own interest in music. After graduating high school she unlike her other sisters did not pursue more education, instead she remained at home to practice her own music and to help out her family.

Ayame, Goddess of Vitality, Medicine & Patron Deity of Healers (W.I.P.)

A goddess from an older era who adapted to the modern era, opening, owning, and running an assortment of Health Resorts spread throughout Japan promoting physical & spiritual wellness.

774mrgbk5mn21.jpg
Age: 2000+ Years old, looking to be in early thirties.

Regalias: Yoiaka - A male looking to be in his mid 20s.

Followers/Worshippers: Those who enter into her Health Resorts are deemed just as worthy as her followers who worship her outside of the business side. However, her most devoted worshippers often give tributes to her shrine weekly, while those who were saved on behalf of the goddess tend to visit the shrine as frequent as possible.

Clan Name: 赤 (aka), meaning red.

History: Ayame started out as a Goddess of Japanese Prehistory within the Final Jōmon period. She was worshipped during this time as solely a Goddess of Vitality, and nothing more. She was the Goddess who looked after their health, and allowed their people to live their lives healthily as Hunters & Gathers.

As the Final Jōmon period period progressed, Ayame went from being a figure worshipped within Ko-Shintō to a Goddess without a clear religion background. Due to the intermixing of Daoism & Buddhism during this time, her own identity became askew as it was spread between the three. It left Ayame with many split followers between the three different religions... Buddhism, Daoism & Ko-Shintō and in the end, her following grew to a larger than average size for a Goddess of her young age. It brought a form of discontentment among other Gods & Goddesses as they believed that Ayame didn't earn the followers that she had garnered through these events. (This is a feeling that is still felt by older Gods to this day, even naming Ayame as a cheat, and saying she's undeserving of any form of praise she receives.)

As she became spread between the three different religions, her name was altered by those of different faiths, but still worshipped her all the same.

(W.I.P.) Phantom: Herald of the Flock

Age: 1294 years

Gender: Unknown

Appearance: The Herald was once a looming phantom that grew to be an approximate 8'5" tall. It was said to change its appearance to people who were held dearest in ones heart when confronted. Allowing this phantom's normal form to remain generally unknown by a large majority.

In modern times, the Herald has emerged to a much different appearance. It has long since shed its previous iterations, and has adorned very similar capabilities to the new breed of phantoms that exist. However, it still is only human-esque in its new look, and lacks the appropriate means to communicate naturally. It now stands at 5'11" in comparison to its former size, and its body has taken on a major decrepit look. It still holds with it the creepy nature of phantoms, but brings about a new fascination into its newest human-esque form.

Commission By CarrionBlossom.jpg

Negative emotions/sin you were born from: Enticement, Impudence, Uncleanness or Contempt... The exact sin that the Herald of the Flock was born from is not entirely known. It is likely related to one of these sins, but because of the massive well of negative emotions during the chaotic time the Phantom emerged makes it hard to trace its natural roots. All that is known for certain is it comes out of hibernation during times of crisis to feast upon that which is available.

History:
The Herald was born during the time of the Japanese Smallpox Epidemic as a small phantom with very little to its strength. It was a mere specter, which couldn't even manage to influence the most vulnerable humans. It was often times batted away or nerely destroyed by other phantoms whose influence was far greater. It even found itself being able to evade gods of the era because of the other Phantoms that had a much stronger presence. By the time the epidemic was in full swing the phantom gathered its raw strength by feasting on scraps, and it grew by sheer luck in the deadly times.

In the aftermath of the epidemic the Phantom garnered attention because of the surrounding phantoms being eradicated once things had begun to come under control once again. By this point, it had become strong enough to alter its own form and even combat against Gods & Goddesses, albeit sloppily. It clashed on numerous occasions, but they were never able to directly pin down a phantom that learned how Gods worked by its time spent just slipping by as a mere specter. Despite these clashes, there was no way the phantom could directly injure gods by this point. Instead, it merely used anything to its advantage to survive by means of sacrificing other phantoms, or even using humans as a form of meat-shield.

It was only when the Phantom began to run dry, and use its resources that it could no longer pursue such acts as evading gods continuously. In turn, the phantom learned an ability that would allow it to hibernate within a vulnerable human host, but this effect would put great strain on the phantom. By shredding itself thin to bare bones, it would break apart creating miniature parts of itself that would be stored in other creatures outside of just humans. In particular one favorite was different types of birds because of their capability to migrate in essence protecting parts of itself by travel.

An oddity happened though, the very first host the entity latched hold of to hibernate was a Spiritual Human named Daitan. Unlike what the phantom expected, Daitan was aware of the change, and the two of them could converse with one another. Though, the Phantom had no real voice to speak for itself, it could harness Daitan's inner voice, and the two began a rather sour relationship. Yet, despite the Phantom existing on the interior of Daitan's mind, and essence, it had no influence over how Daitan felt as a whole. As a spiritual Human Daitan's link to the oddities of Far Shore means had the young Phantom misidentify them as vulnerable.

Daitan's spiritual ability was that of emotional balance, an odd invasive but exceptionally useful ability, in this situation, that kept him from experiencing emotions on a high degree. This meant that he could never experience high levels of happiness, stress, dread or anything beyond a moderate level. In turn, Daitan was incapable of being influenced by outside means, and always clear minded despite any kind of horrors or celebrations that occurred around him. In essence, Daitan had just trapped the phantom without ever intending to do so, but ultimately the pair were now stuck with one another.

With the phantoms new home obtained, and escape from the gods, it had merely only begun its journey ahead.

W.I.P.

Current Standing with Gods & Goddesses: This is an infamous phantom, known for its versatile nature, and its constant evasion of being purified. Gods stated how it would take hold of hostages, alter its appearance or separate into multiple pieces to evade purification. Many gods question whether such a phantom existed during the 8th, 9th & 10th century because of how uncommon it was for such a phantom to evade purification during these eras. However, its identity was certified when several gods confronted the phantom during the 11th century, and were overwhelmed due to their carelessness.

Once more, this phantom has emerged, giving weight to its legends, due to the ensuing chaos & crisis brought on by the AFAH nearly ten years ago. Times have changed for the Herald, now it has changed adapting to the new iteration of phantoms, and hasn't gone into hibernation since returning. However, it remains unknown whether or not the phantom will return to its period of hibernation.

Legends Gained From Near-Shore Residents:

Voices of the Forgotten:
Among the denizens of the Near-Shore, this Phantom has earned a legend for itself. People have named this entity as the 'Messenger of the Forgotten' as it is said that it brings memories of long forgotten pains and trauma forward for permanent closure. They speak of how it allows people to view those who they've forgotten, hold dearest but can no longer see, and much more. There are many different iterations of this legend, and they have warped as time has passed as well. Though, one common statement holds true, the entity only emerges after periods of Crisis, Natural Disasters, or even great calamities that befall the population. It is only then, that people begin to hear a voice call out to them to search for this entity. Many accounts speak of how after meeting the entity, people can't recall why they sought it out in the first place, or even sometimes experience amnesia. Some speak of how they met it, and thank the entity despite the great pain it brought them to remember their past. Whilst others continue to speak of how it is a hoax, and they never came across something in the first place. Then, in some scenarios, you hear of people who attempted to find this entity, but never returned from their so-called trip.

Special abilities:

Spectral Calling:
By using, taking or forcing smaller phantoms, the Herald can morph them into Spectral Crows as a part of his 'Flock'. These Crows are manifestations of malice, and they act as normal phantoms would. They're still drawn towards negative emotions, and relay information back to the Herald regularly.

Amorphous Entity: By shedding it's Human-esque appearance, the Herald loses control of its Flock, and regains its older power. It's appearance changes according to who it comes in contact with, taking on the appearance of those who are dearest to the individual. It's said that multiple people may look at the Herald at the same time, and each of them see someone different.

Voice Mimicry: The Herald has no true voice of its own, and cannot speak without some kind of catalyst. As an Amorphous Entity, the Herald may begin to speak once it takes on the appearance of another, and their voice will be perceived as a carbon copy of that individual. Otherwise, the Herald requires a human host to be present or temporary harnessed to communicate.

Name: Kaguya-hime

Alternative Names/Title: Patron deity of the Moon and Bamboo | Goddess of the Night

Kaguya stands at about 5'8" with platinum blonde hair and blue eyes with fair skin.

Age: 1,000+ (appears at least 25)
Gender: Female

Personality:
Kaguya is polite, driven, and a little spoiled. She enjoys nature and treats Regalia as family or at the very least well cared for employees. She dislikes being looked down to and belittled, but will become absolutely livid if her Regalia are treated any worse than how she would be treated by another god that sees her as equal. When it comes to Noras she doesn't have much of a problem with them.

Wish from which you were born:
"If only my wife and I could have a child of our own. A child to raise…"

History/Legend:

The wish of a Bamboo cutter led to him finding the young goddess while cutting bamboo, and believing her to be no ordinary child. Raising her and giving her the name Nayotake no Kaguya-hime, him and his wife treated her as their own. While out cutting bamboo again the man found a golden nugget, as well as clothes made of fine cloth. Growing rich the family moved to the capital, spoiling Kaguya with many material items as she grew. Growing into a beautiful young woman, many nobles wished for her hand in marriage, and while not interested in any of the humans to propose, she sent them on tasks to test their sincerity. Seeing through any tricks, she grew saddened that one of the tasks killed one of her suitors. When the Emperor caught wind of her he attempted to have her be his bride and although she refused the two remained in contact, having an odd friendship of sorts.

While the tale differs in many of it's accounts regarding the Emperor and the bamboo cutter's actions leading up to Kaguya-hime's departure to go to the heavens, she did leave them notes as part of her goodbyes, along with the elixir of immortality with the Emperor's letter that would weave the tale of how Mount Fuji received it's name. She never truly forgot the humans who raised her, despite what some versions of the legends say.

The Goddess has a fondness for humans, and acts rather human herself due to the early years of her upbringing until she was brought to the Heavens and into Tsukuyomi's court. Being taught to be a noblewoman by the humans had, in a sense, prepared her when it came to meeting the older gods that didn't share her views of humans and were vocal about it whether it was direct or not in correlation to how they viewed the Goddess herself that claimed to be the spiritual daughter of Tsukuyomi. Phantom: Sakda, The Weaver
Age: Originally Born in the 1600s
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Commission CarrionBlossom Cutdown (Face).png

Negative emotions/sin you were born from: Emulations, Hypocrisy, Immorality & Sorcery.

History: Sakda was not always a Phantom of Immortality, and walking the path of defilement, in fact, he was a once ingenious Shaman of great intelligence. It was not a path originally intended for the Shaman to walk upon in his preordained fate. As his fate was to serve the Kamuy of his religion for all of eternity, but it was an act of free will harboring raw negative intentions blossomed by sheer opportunity that shattered these connections. With this act breaching the preordained, Daishin, the formerly Great Shaman, fell into a spiritual crossroad freeing him of his path. However, it was the mere fault of someone's curiosity and the ineptitude of mankind, that robbed them of a dearest ally. He was a man worthy of all the love he gave, and all the love he received, but that now all lies in the past behind Sakda, The Phantom of Emulations, Hypocrisy, Immorality & Sorcery.

Daishin, a man of many names, The Oracle, Great Shaman, Seeker of Enlightenment... Daishin was a man worthy of infinite praise by those who followed in his wake. As one of the Ainu, Daishin found his home amidst the northern island, now known as Hokkaidō, in the Edo period (1600s) and was increasingly sought after for healing during the smallpox epidemic. A small ray of hope, a man who people leant their utmost trust, and a guidepost during a broken time wrought with the stench of death. He gratefully extended his hand to all those who willing stood beside him, and in turn, he gave them his all to protect them.

He may have been a mortal, but Daishin loved people for all they were worth. His own beliefs may have rivaled his people and their traditionalist view of Animism, but he respected it all the same. To believe that Spirits, and Gods could reside in all things living, inanimate or otherwise was even beyond the Seeker's thoughts. Yet, that didn't stop Daishin from making a great deal with entities beyond a mortals comprehension. In order to sedate his great drive for truths, and all things knowledgable Daishin undertook an Astral Projection harnessing all his talent to uncover that which could not be seen.

In his newly formed astral body, Daishin became suddenly aware of the acute differences between mortal, and immortal lives. His eyes laid upon the land just beyond our own, and suddenly found himself amidst the presence of beings that could only be described as saintly, virtuous, pure, even those that took immoral grounds. It was the land of the devout, and those who dictate power over human lives through prayer, or sacrifice. It was here, in this astral body, that dissidence consumed his being and he felt as though he was being torn asunder. The further in this realm that Daishin traveled, the deeper his spirit regressed, the more he sunk into obscurity.

However, despite venturing too deep, Daishin was given an opportunity, and he struck a contract with Kamuy-Huci, the Ainu Goddess of the Hearth, to rejoin his fleeting soul to his body. In exchange, he became the sole bearer of the Kamuy's Blessing, and was granted he Enlightenment of otherworldly secrets. Though, such knowledge came at a great price forcefully driving a wedge between Daishin, and all those who lacked a similar form of Enlightenment.

In other words, Daishin had paid the ultimate price to be granted Enlightenment beyond human capability, but in turn paid with a pact of eternal loneliness. For as long as Daishin lived as an immortal man, he no longer could bask in the glow of the Hearth which stood as a center piece of all Ainu Households. He, as an individual, was no longer capable of harboring or holding any form of personal connection with any individual of mankind origin. After any engagement with a person of the Near-shore, any memory of Daishin would creep from their memory, and eventually be forgotten. Forcefully, it isolated Daishin to his duty, and shattering his life right out from underneath him...

After Daishin returned, he found himself no longer supported by his family, wife, friends, and all who knew him, he found himself deeply unrooted from what made him who he was. No one remembered the man who saved many, and gave as much as he received. At first, it was a jarring experience to have the very wife you knew for years simply forget who you were. The frustration didn't stop there, because Daishin, himself, was forgotten but his actions were still engraved upon the people who he influenced. This was evident by how people still carried themselves even in his absence. Yet, no matter the actions Daishin took, he could never get people to recognize him for who he really was. Eventually, surrounded by the deepest roots of uncertainty, Daishin took to devoting himself fully to Kamuy-Huci as an attempt to save himself. There was no doubt in his mind, he had received something that was followed by unruly consequences, and damage that was merely thrust upon him by some other beings will. This, unlike anything else, brought Daishin to the edge that he still teeters upon to this day.

There was no saying what stood for Daishin, except for the fact that this immortal man directly served a Kamuy. Her whims, and will soon became that of his own. It quickly muddled with his own thoughts, and began to chip away at his very own free-will. It was stripped away creating the ideal bearer of blessings, and own foot soldier worthy of a Kamuy's blessing. He spread the name of all Kamuy alike, and brought their influence upon mankind for a long span of time, yet his own freedom no longer was in his mind. There was a point in time where Daishin was a name spread forward as an ideal subject for reason to give mortals a taste of the otherside, and bringing them into their own numbers to influence their own kind.

Yet, there's a reason why the name Daishin is considered a taboo among many within the Kamuy. It was because of this mere mortal man who received the blessings of Kamuy-Huci, and disrespected them by removing himself from a 'preordained' pathway to proper existence. By forcing himself through to the Spiritual Crossroads Daishin found himself in front of the God of the Crossroad, Chimata no Kami. Having broken into the Spiritual Crossroad, he was viewed as an immediate threat, and an evil spirit that was in need of purification. However, a short, and brief confrontation Daishin proved to be incapable of being purified as he was still a mortal man within an immortal body. He was still a denizen of Near-shore who had been roped into a Kamuy's ploy, and incapable of exercising his free will. It was here, in this very moment, Daishin Sakti shed his former name. Instead, he took upon the name Sakda, in hopes of keeping even a small portion of himself where-ever he would wind up next.

With the help of Chimata no Kami, God of the Crossroad, Daishin stepped forward breaking the binding of immortality that was forced upon him, and abandoned his physical body. With this effort, Sakda left behind Daishin, and walked forward a new man free of the Kamuy who held him captive for the longest time. However, the process wasn't perfect, and Sakda was no pure spirit. The tainted process of the Kamuy's blessings had permanently stained his existence, and he would never find a peaceful existence. But, what mattered most was that Sakda was, at this moment, free... and that freedom was the greatest gift he could have.

Personality: Sakda is a person who feels as though the world had betrayed them, and no longer cherishes the people who walk within its grace. He feels as though Gods & Goddesses alike walk with their own agendas, and that they cannot be trusted under any normal circumstances. Normally, Sakda is a trusted ally for those who aligns himself with, but there is always a faint thought that he may have his own goal placed ahead of their own.

Special abilities:

Near-Shore Instability: After becoming tainted by Kamuy-Huci's blessing, Sakda was no longer able to be remembered by denizens of Near-Shore. Similar to how Gods & Goddesses are capable to remain hidden from sight, Sakda's instability robbed him of the ability to be bound in any form to a Near-Shore Resident. Any meeting, connection or passing will immediately slip from memory as though it never happened once Sakda is out of their field of vision. This, however, does not apply to Spiritual Humans as they have come in contact, and have some form of connection to Far-Shore.

Dream Weaver: By applying carefully constructed curses, Sakda may begin to tamper with dreams of entities from both Near-Shore and Far Shore. These curses may be applied to individuals, or even worked into material objects that can hold power over others. The stronger a curse, the more maintenance required to keep it functional, otherwise it would collapse. By no means are they absolute, and can be destroyed by numerous ways, especially if it is linked to a material object. Weaving a Dream Curse upon a spiritual entity directly requires careful attention, and digression, as it can be removed as easily as blight can be with holy water. It is even possible for individuals with strong resolute wills to completely negate a curse applied directly upon their person as though it were a mere breeze.

Self-Soul Weaving: Dig deep, reach within the very depths of your soul, what do you see...? By passing through the Spiritual Cross-road, Sakda may have become a phantom, and his soul may be permanently corrupt, however, it doesn't mean he cannot harness it. To alter ones own soul is to change their own being, and with this change comes deeply ingrained detriments. The further one diverges their own soul, the deeper this damage spreads, and eventually leads to a catastrophic collapse upon itself. It is, without a doubt, tainting the purity of the soul beyond even the natural roots phantom corruption to the point of tearing oneself apart.

Name: Hachiman

Alternative Names/Title: God of warriors, divination, and culture. Divine protector of Japan.

__emiya_shirou_and_limited_zero_over_fate_and_2_more_drawn_by_kouzuki_kei__801ba031583158d8b3c...jpg

Personality:

Being a war god, Hachiman is no stranger to battle. He charges in without hesitation, his imposing figure striking fear and awe into his enemies, as well as his allies. He remains composed at all times, facing obstacles with an unchanging expression as he quickly accomplishes his objective. He takes matters concerning phantoms seriously and fulfills his duty as one of the highest ranking gods. On the battlefield, he always lives up to the perfect image expected of divine beings. However, this is not the case when all conflicts have ended.

While he appears to be a splendid and inspiring god when dealing with serious matters, he loosens his tie when it's finally time to clock out. When there are no more battles to fight, he behaves like a teenage delinquent who sits in front of the television all day, lamenting that he can only laze around until something fun happens. Calligraphy and other activities can keep him preoccupied for a while, but he gets antsy if can't push himself in some kind of physical activity.

Hachiman hates anything he considers boring and will try to avoid it at all costs. A life without excitement isn't a life at all, so he takes it upon himself to create entertainment when Heaven is too quiet. He often does so by indulging in some friendly competition with his fellow gods, but things will occasionally get out of hand if he gets too fired up. Thankfully, his regalia are quick to reel him in.

Despite being a powerful god, Hachiman has no care for things like hierarchy. He doesn't act haughty in the presence of minor gods or his regalia, treating the latter more like family than servants. He finds it more interesting if his people act as they please, but it often causes him some trouble when they choose to rope him in and force him to do things he finds boring.

Hachiman is surprisingly friendly, but his competitive nature often leads him to playfully antagonize some of his colleagues. For this reason, some view him as an older brother of sorts. He is strong and protective, but also a bit of a pain. When necessary, he will scold others, remaining firm but fair. He will only punish those who truly deserve it. It's similar to his relationship with humans.

Humans are Hachiman's greatest source of entertainment. Compared to Heaven, the Near Shore is far more interesting, always changing and producing new things. He's always watching them, learning about their behavior and deepening his understanding. Even if he isn't bound by things like human morality, he tries to understand for the sake of his relationship with the people who offer their prayers. However, he isn't always kind and forgiving.

While he loves humans, he hates many of the things they do. He especially hates pointless violence. He is a god who protects life, so he hates to see it ended without purpose or honor. Even if it results in more prayers, meaningless wars will never bring him joy. He will only be at peace when those prayers stop coming. However, he understands that not all humans are to blame. Even gods take each other's lives over petty squabbles, so he knows such behavior is not exclusive to those who reside in the Near Shore. Because he knows this, he can forgive, continuing to love the humans who give to him as much as he gives to them.

Wish from which you were born: Wish for protection and unity.

History/Legend:
Unlike the ancient gods who had heavenly origins, Hachiman was always rooted to the Near Shore. He was a small amalgamation of many beliefs, born from the merger of three clans who made him the symbol of their unity. The humans prayed to him for many things, seeking warmth and protection. From crops to small skirmishes, he oversaw everything. However, he was still an insignificant little speck in the greater pantheon. Even if this community worshipped him, how long would that last? That question remained on his mind for years, never knowing how much time he had left before being forgotten.

When a few of the country's important figures visited the land he protected, Hachiman kept a close eye on their activities, but found that they posed no threat. Still, he continued to watch as they struggled in their attempts to construct an impressive daibutsu. It was a matter that didn't concern him, but he chose to involve himself anyway, deciding to throw the humans a bone. He used an oracle to provide the location of a large quantity of gold, a precious metal that would become the body of their statue. It was a simple act that wasn't worthy of much recognition, something he thought would be interesting enough to pass the time while maybe getting a few extra prayers in exchange. However, he greatly underestimated how much that one act meant to those humans.

Out of reverence, they carried his spirit a great distance from his birthplace so that he could be thanked by their emperor. For one small act, he and his original followers were granted high rank, significantly changing their status overnight. In just a little over a decade, he went from being trapped in obscurity to the most revered god of the time. His domain and the people who lived their saw great change, gaining fortune, land, and major prestige. After so many years spent wondering when his end would come, he was catapulted to the top of Heaven. He no longer had to worry about fading away.

People continued to pray at his shrines, large numbers seeking his aid. It was a time of development for both his status and relationship with humans. After using an oracle for the first time, Hachiman continued speaking with humans through the body of maidens, delivering revelations during times of need. While part of it was to live up to his new reputation and maintain the spot he coveted, he realized that he simply enjoyed speaking with them.

His early years were spent contemplating his eventual demise, but he didn't have to worry about such things after gaining massive recognition. However, with immortality came boredom. The only ones who could relieve it were his believers. Humans were interesting, providing entertainment that could last him an eternity. In exchange for granting their wishes, they gave him life and something interesting to watch. It was a fair trade. Although, the deal would eventually leave a bad taste in his mouth as humans began to abuse his charity.

Humans in power became seen as his avatars as they displayed great feats. These individuals showed leadership in war, advanced the country's culture, and became known for their prowess on the battlefield. Empresses, emperors, and warriors took on his name. Important clans claimed his blood and made him their patron deity. All of this gave him strength and status beyond what he thought possible for one with his origins, but it spiraled out of control. Humans used his name for their own benefit, falsely claiming he had given them revelations that would give legitimacy to their own selfish actions and desire for power. It led to pointless battles and deaths with no purpose. Even though it resulted in his name being spread further, he was displeased.

He was a war god. That was his identity, and he lived up to everything a god of battle should. However, many had forgotten what that actually meant. He did not come to start wars. He ended them. He was a protector of warriors, not an advocate of warfare. He lent his strength to those who fought with honor, but none of that could be found in what these people were doing. The people who wrongfully used him as a means to their despicable ends were punished, and he made it clear that he was upset. He ignored prayers, even willing to lose his reputation and risk death if it meant he couldn't be used to further pointless violence and greed. However, despite being angered, he found himself unable to hate humanity as a whole.

When the time came, he was there to help humans when they truly needed him. He continued to protect their borders, blowing his divine wind wherever it was needed. His own behavior confused him, but he eventually came to realize why he couldn't abandon these weak creatures. The small fondness he had for those who birthed him became love for humanity. He was born in Japan. He protected his fellow countrymen during times of war. He grew their crops, contributed to their culture, and made sure they stayed healthy. As much as he desired a place in Heaven, the people of the Near Shore were his family. No matter how angry he was, that couldn't be changed. It was because his love for them was so great that he hated when they hurt each other in his name. With that realization, he decided that even if they strayed from the right path, he would continue to love them. He would be kind and keep them safe, but he would also be tough when they needed to be set straight. That's what it meant to be family.
