The Nightmares
The Nightmares are one of the largest groups of raiders in Unova. Their camp in Driftveil houses many a rogue and bandit. This occurred almost completely by a stroke of luck. When the apocalypse first began, their misanthropic leader Delilah founded the group and began hunting other groups to rob and murder. Having the benefit of being one of the first groups, pretty much anyone who knew for sure that their path to survival would involve murder and theft as opposed to helping and protecting the weak joined Delilah’s group.
They made targets not only out of your average group of survivors, but other raiders as well. This increased their numbers as entire groups became swallowed and members of The Nightmares. Anyone who was down to kill and steal was welcomed with open arms. The oh so large gang became even larger, and there was great power in numbers.
In fact, their power in numbers allowed them to take their Driftveil camp from The Drifters even though each member of The Drifters is on average a stronger fighter. Forcing The Drifters into submission, Delilah assumed that they would eventually join The Nightmares, as many people who were once “good” had begun to do in order to ensure their safety and survival. However, they instead rose against her and attempted to use a large horde to destroy the group. Their plan backfired, and The Drifters were forced to flee the area in the chaos. Many of them were separated in the process.
Meanwhile, The Nightmares continued to thrive until their numbers became a detriment. Too many people, not enough supplies. Delilah’s solution was to send off the less capable, or those that she simply didn’t like, onto suicide missions, only allowing them to take minimal gear with them to keep from wasting supplies. Looking at her next Conquest, Delilah sent a small scouting troop to Nimbasa. When they returned, they brought a horde all the way back from the electric city. In the ensuing battle, many Nightmares were lost and the front gate of their camp was broken. However, Delilah still has her eyes on invading Nimbasa.
