Realistic or Modern The New Kid

Astrid Kalvin (me) becomes the new kid. She comes home ,from her best friends house, to find her mom putting their things in boxes with names wrote on them, One box says, Astrid, another reads kitchen. Astrid looks around and her mom looks at her crying, "He left me. WE are moving again." Astrid mom had been with a guy little over 3 months when she packed them up and moved them to a small town in Alabama all the from Maine. Now they were moving again this time, to California. They pack the car up and leave the next morning heading straight to Cali without telling anyone they are leaving.

Astrid pulled into the long gravel rode behind her mom. She drove down the road and seen a couple of houses. She smirked, "In the middle of no where. Great, Rose." She turned her radio down some and pulled into a dirt drive right behind her mom and looked at the two story brick house. She stepped out of her small 2003 black Mustang and fixed her clothes. She looked at her surroundings. The house was surrounded by trees and bushes. She walked into the house with her iPhone in her hand and took a tour of the house. She stepped out a couple minutes later and looked at her mom, "Rose, what kind of bullshit house is this?" Rose looked at Astrid, "Watch your mouth. It's a great house and the school here has a great rating." Rose grabbed a box out of the trunk of her Explorer and walked inside with it. Astrid sighed and got to putting boxes in the new house. She put her boxes in the master bedroom and laughed as Rose began to get frustrated that Astrid took the master room. Astrid put the last of the boxes in the living room and walked into what would be her new room. She looked around and started unpacking and hanging things up on the wall and put her clothes in the big walk in closet and in the drawers. She put her bathroom things in the bathroom that was attached to her room. When she had finally got everything in place and her bed frame set up she walked outside and brought her mattress inside and made her bed before she laid down on the bed and looked at the ceiling.

Evelyn groaned as she rubbed her eyes, trying to rid herself of the las to sleep. She stood up and walked towards the mirror in her room, seeing her hair in a large tangle, she sighed. Eve grabbed a brush and raked it through her hair until it had finally tamed down. She grabbed a hoodie and a pair of jeans before changing, the simple colours seemed to suit her and Evelyn walked downstairs, saying a quick goodmorning to her father who was reading the newspaper. Smiling for a minute at the familiar sight, Evelyn grabbed a bowl from the cupboard and poured cereal into it and a generous amount of milk. Sitting beside her father she started at her breakfast, excitement brimming. The new girl was coming today and Evelyn was quite curious to see what she would be like.

Astrid smacked at the alarm clock until it stop and wiped her face. She groaned and rolled out of bed, "First day at a new school." She walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She had eyeliner smeared under her eyes. She washed her face and brushed her teeth then walked back into her room. She walked over to the small closet she had and flipped threw her shirts deciding on a bright pink shirt with a dream catcher on the front. On the back was written dreamer. She pulled out a pair of light blue jeans with holes in the knees and pulled the clothes on. She grabbed her favorite converse and grabbed her phone, sticking it in her back pocket. She grabbed her purse and keys off the bedside table. She grabbed her makeup bag and walked out of the house. She got in her car and drove to school. She got to the school early so she sat out in the car and put her makeup on making sure to be very careful as it came to the "wing" of her eyeliner.

Cristina woke up nice and early for school that day. She got dressed in the same routine she does everyday. She fixed her long black hair and put on some jeans. She threw on any shirt she can find and went downstairs. She ate cereal that her mom made for her. She greeted her mom and dad and started to eat her cereal. The new girl was coming today so she wanted to make a good impression if she was gonna make a new friend. She finished her cereal, picked up her things, said goodbye, and walked out the door. She drove over to the school and walked in the building.

Sebastian opened his eyes and smiled, "New girl...I'm Sebastian." All last night all he could think about was meeting the new girl. He like it when new people came, it got the whole school riled up. He stepped out of bed and started getting dressed. He threw on a simple black tee shirt and some blue jean pants. He combed his hair till it fell right in place. He smiled at himself in the mirror then lit a cigarette. He inhaled deep and grabbed his book bag off the floor. He grabbed a black beanie and put it on then grabbed his truck keys and headed out the door to the nice Dodge truck he owned. He hopped in and drove off to school.


Astrid sat in her car and seen a couple other kids pulling in. She looked around then looked in the car mirror. She fixed her hair in a really messy bun and stepped out of her car. She walked toward the school and locked her car just as she stepped in the school.

Lily groaned upon waking, as she found herself on the floor for what felt like the hundredth time. The covers were halfway across the room, her pillow somehow made it onto her desk sometime during the night. Lily herself was strewn about on the floor, blinking away the sudden sunlight now slicing itself into her vision.


Hauling herself up with a sigh, she got dressed, brushed her teeth, and sleepily ran a brush about halfway through her hair before giving up. A quick glance at the clock made her stop, before speeding up a bit. "Frig. I forgot I changed the damn clock last night." She muttered, running back to her room and grabbing the bag next to her bed before rushing out the door and breaking into a run in the direction of the school.

Sound of the alarm ringing in her ear, made Kenzi jump. She slammed her hand down on it and rolled over. She glares at the ceiling as if she could murder the ceiling for her misfortunes of having to go to school. She finally hauled her w off out of bed and went to shower. She washed up, brushed her teeth and combed out her long black hair. Her bangs hung just above her eye brows. She did her goth make-up and went to dress. She had pulled on a black lace top with long sleeves and a thumb whole in the sleeves. She then put on a corset top, next came her skirt and slightly ripped up tights. Next came her combat boots and accessories. Once ready for school. She grabs her bag and heads down stairs. She grabbed a apple kissed her mother on the cheek and left for school grabbing the keys to her car.


Kenzi had driven to school. She looked about as she parked. She was glaring up at the school. "Another day in this place." She says. She gets out and slams the door shut. She locks her car and walks towards the building. Kenzi noticed students shy away from her and it made her smile.

Sebastian pulled in next to a little white mustang. He looked at the car and rolled his eyes, "In my spot, dude." He stepped out and looked at the car, "It's a girl. Nice." Sebastian casually started walking toward the school. He was taking his sweet time then notice Kenzi. He slowed his pace quiet a bit. "Geez that girl scares me," Sebastian mumbled to himself then smiled and winked at the girl, maybe he could be nice to her and things would be different. He stepped into the school and walked to his locker.


Astrid walked in and looked at the huge school. She gulped loud and seen a goth girl walking toward to the building. She smiled to herself and walked into the gym of the school. Students were sitting around mumbling and pointing at other kids. She took a deep breath and sat down on the bottom bleacher. She really didn't want to be here. But having the mom she has she was kind of use to moving schools so much.

Kenzi stopped suprised at Sebastian winking at her. He had never paid her any mind in any year.Kenzi shrugged and continued to her locker. She placed her things in it and walked for the gym. First day was always so stupid. Kenzi made her way to her friends and smirked as even they moved back from her. Kenzi was proud of how her image scared other's. She even complemented it with beating up a cheerleader for trying to pick on her. So now most of the school just seemed to stay away from her, never truly knowing the real her.Kenzi sat on the bleachers, she looked about and her mouth moved as she told her friends something with a dark smirk.

Eve finished her cereal, the drank the rest of the milk in the bowl before rinsing both her bowl and spoon. She walked to the bathroom and washed her face and brushed her teeth before applying the little bit of makeup she wears. Evelyn walked out of the small room and grabbed her backpack before waving a goodbye to her father, then walked out the door. Evelyn started her usual morning walk to school a bit early, but that never hurt anyone, so Eve just kept walking towards the school happily.

Astrid sat looking around at all the kids coming and going straight to their friends to tell them how there summer break had gone. She started chewing at her nails and humming a song. She started shaking her leg, her nerves were staring to get to her.


Sebastian walked in and spotted Astrid immediately her bright blonde hair really made her stick out from the rest of the kids. He smiled and walked up to her, "Hey new girl the name is Sebastian." He stuck his hand out for her to shake. Astrid shook his hand and smiled, "I'm Astrid. The new girl." She went back to biting her nails. Sebastian smiled, "Nice to meet you." He walked up the bleachers to his buddies and started telling them about dumb things he done over the summer.

Lily ran down the street at a solid pace, though she was displeased by the need to wear shoes. She passed another student on her way, some girl with red hair, and proceeded to trip on something. "Wha-" She started, but reflex took over and she dropped her body into a roll, slowing herself down and standing up almost right after. She calmly continued walking, though shook her head at her near fall. "Damn shoes…" She muttered, looking down at the simple black boots as she walked.

Cristina walked in the school and went to her locker. "Alright." She sighed. She put her things away. "I wonder where everyone is at." She closed her locker and turned to go find one of her friends.

Astrid stood and walked out of the gym, she was to anxious to sit still. She walked the halls with her head down. She bumped into a dark haired girl, Cristina. She looked up at the girl, "I'm so so so sorry!" Her faced turned a light shade of red with embarrassment.

Cristina looked at the girl who bumped into her. "It's alright." She said. "Hey, are you the new girl, I haven't seen you around here before?"

Kenzi and her friends had been talking of there summer and what they had done. Kenzi had been away all summer. Her family had happily sent her away to a camp. It was a summer murder mystery camp. She came back a week before school. She had just a enough time to get ready for school. Kenzi finally waves to her friends and walks out of the gym. She went to grab some water or something to drink.Kenzi passed Cristina and the new girl with out a word. Her face was in a slight smirk as she listened to them.
