That character sheet is beautiful. I love it.

It's a shame what makes it so pretty also makes it very hard to actually use.

Jebus. That's like something I used to create years ago on my Amiga for my homebrew games. That's ... just ... clipart run amok isn't it? So many circles and dots. Someone must've exhausted their machines rations of the Wingdings font on that.

Still - Interesting. Hearing mixed things about Eoris too. Might have to take a look.

I would say that there are games which do what Eoris does, but better.

Eoris itself needs a second edition that'll likely never come.

Basically my feelings on the whole sheet. Its really really beauitful and I feel curious to see what this game is about. However I do not want to make a character for it at all if this is the sheet I am expected to use.

Making an editable PDF version would be difficult. An Excel version would be downright impossible.

I'm sure an Excel version could be done - I work with it all day, every day, it's quite versatile ... Guess it depends on version of Excel etc. It'd be a pain, sure, and probably not that easy, but I don't think it'd be impossible. :)

I found the site of the game that this sheet belongs to. http://www.essencerpg.com/

Seems very interesting, I love Science Fantasy. However it seems like the type of thing I've been recently steering away from. I'm liking my games to have as much indepthness as possible with as simple mechanics as possible with out sacrificing that indepthness.

Mechanically, Wiz, it's like D&D and Masquerade had a baby with a dash of FATAL.

I think the FATAL badness is well known. I've recently educated myself on it. Horrific.

This game however - I can't help but feel it might look horrific when the sheets seen in isolation but that maybe it isn't quite as bad as we'd imagine perhaps. Maybe not all the sheets relevant to every PC for example or used rarely. :)

I have read it and examined the pre-gen characters from the quickstart. Trust me.

I'd even have given it a test if anyone had been willing to endure it.

Blimey. Bit quirky and difficult to master then?

Is the QS available on their website as a pdf?

I sort of love that. I will have to look at the game now. Gotta love art in unexpected places.
