Born Azurule Rodias in Meru itself. His father was a fisherman leading the merchant marines along their usual routes in order to feed the gods and Exalted of Meru. His father was also a retired officer from the Navy and had been familiar with command for many years and earned his youth two times over for exemplary service and eventually settled into the family life. And it was from his father that Rodias learned much of the mariner's life. He was never as militant as his father had hoped, but he always had a knack with the way a ship worked, how to guide a crew, and how to navigate anything from a raft to some First Age ships.
