Hi There,


I am Swift, and I am looking for one (maybe two) partner(s) to rp a medieval fantasy story with me. I would like it to take place in a specific original fantasy world I am currently crafting, and through our story I will flesh it out further and develop more of the world. Since there is a lot to get to, I will try to be brief.

  • I try to write every weekday, sometimes on evenings and weekends, but no guarantees. I often post multiple times a day.
    
  • I expect your absolute best effort at spelling and grammar. I get that mistakes happen (I certainly make them) but if it is too overt I will have a hard time with it.
    
  • Even though the setting is part of "my world" I want someone who can craft the story with me, help drive the plot and make things interesting.
    
  • I hate to put restrictions on writing (minimums/maximums) so for now I will simply say your posts should be sufficient and poignant for the circumstances.
    
  • I don't mind OOC chat at all, sometimes that is where the best ideas come out.
    
  • romance is not a necessity for the story, but it is a possibility. Just don't force it, or automatically expect it.

  The Setting

  
  
  
  Quintera, a lone continent in a yet unnamed world is where this story takes place. The other continents have been seperated from this one because of what they call the "barrier storm" this is basically a wall of uncrossable sea, and has been in place for generations. Only myths of the rest of the world exist now in Quintera.
  
  
  On this continent, there are five major kingdoms. To the north west is the land of Darag'un, home of the Tu'ras a large (like average height of 15 feet) and naturalistic people. To the north east is the land of Kahl Yana, home of the Elgas, a tall, strong, but slender warrior race that focuses more on skill and technique than raw power. To the south east is the land of Wenteka, home to the Chima; they are small, like halflings, and very technologically advanced. And to the southwest is the land to Asphedal, home to the Sitas (see-tas) a people who value magic and knowledge of the arcane above all else. Finally, bordering all four kingdoms, located essentially in the centre of the continent (though it has access to the ocean on it's east border,) is the land of Andaria. This is the kingdom of Men, and they are a people of great diversity, adaptability, and cooperation. Their land, especially the capital, is a multicultural haven, where people from all five nations work together towards common goals.
  
  
  Politically, these five kingdoms are currently at peace, however there are some who would seek to conquer if the right opportunity arose. and some of the cultures tend to look down on others in one way or another.
  
  
  I was thinking it would start in Andaria, most likely, and depending on the types of characters we wanted to use we could come up with a reason for their meeting and subsequent adventuring together?

  • Soldiers in one of the armies dealing with the potential of open war.
    
  • Nobility dealing with complicated politics involving the five kingdoms.
    
  • Commoners in Andaria getting caught up in civil unrest caused by the different cultures clashing.
    
  • A thief unwittingly becomes the suspect in an assassination.
    
  • Pirates (or sky pirates) look oh for fame and fortune.
    
  • Beast hunter(s) are hired by one of villages/ cities closer to the wilds to get rid of a local threat, they possibly find more than they bargained for.
    
  • I will entertain nearly any idea and I am sure we could craft a very interesting story together.
