The Hunter Family

They're not the richest family in the world nor are they perfect - but who needs quality when you have quantity? But what is that to say life was ever easy? Because when with family, you can always expect the weird and wacky moments of every day life, but just a little amplified.

The Hunter family are a family of twelve adopted children and their two generous parents living in the same suburb as their close or even distant off the bats relatives and their rather diverse and loopy neighbours. Who knows how they'll make it through the drama, the heart ache and the emotional roller coaster of a ride?​

Naomi

Naomi grinned to herself as she squeezed the last drop of chocolate sauce onto the last pancake. Cooking for a family of twelve was difficult work, especially when it was breakfast and almost everyone was hungry. She laid out the table and set out the food and juice for everyone to pick and please as they went. Sooner or later she would need to get help she reminded herself as she walked towards the stairs.

"Everyone! Breakfast is ready!" She yelled and knew that in about one minute everyones alarm clocks would go off because that was the time she set all of them to be. She knew everyone would get up, her only priorities were little Lucas and Alex who she made share a room as they were the youngest.​

Adriana groaned hearing her alarm clock going off. She slapped the button that said off and got up. She quickly got dressed and started down the stairs. She smelled the air "is that chocolate chip pancakes!" Adriana asked smiling brightly. She loved chocolate chip pancakes ever since she was little.

Nicholas heard his alarm clock go off and quickly turned it off since he was not going to need it. He had showered and dressed up hours ago and he had stopped speaking with one of the actors for his new movie a few minutes ago. He walked down the stairs and hugged her wife from behind as soon as he saw her. "Hey, those smell great"

It was early morning when Lucas had waken up. Nightmares, reoccurring ones were the worst. His forehead dripped with sweat and his pajamas clung to him uncomfortable. In the dream he heard his biological father shouting at him,"You little shit! Why the hell are you so goddamn stupid!"


Lucas could feel the crack of the belt against his bare skin. The dream wasn't real but it felt real to him.


His body shook and whimpered under the covers. Back in the dream world the man towered over Lucas and threw him angrily against the wall. The bigger figure lit a cigarette and Lucas felt that pain and smelled his flesh burning again as the three teardrops where melted into his skin. The pain was so excruciating that Lucas's conscious broke free and he bolted up. He was panting, tears started falling from his eyes. He hugged his tiger close to his chest. That's when he heard mommy's voice and practically bolted downstairs. She'd make it all better. Hugs and kisses, that's what he needed, hugs and kisses. And maybe some pancakes.

Alexandria woke and rubbed her eye's with her tiny fists. She yawned and slipped out if bed.She ran to the bathroom and climbed up in to the potty and went to the bathroom. She climbed up on her step stool and washed her hands like her mother showed her. After she did that she wiped her hands poorly and toddled downstairs.


"mommy."she said and ran to Naomi. She loved her mother and hugged her leg looking up cutely. Alex was only 3 she just wanted to please everyone including her mother and father.Alexandria was one to clinch to her mother's side the minute she woke up. Normally she would crawl inti bed with her parents early in the morning. But they told her she had to stay in her bed all night last night.

Adriana yawned and walked into the kitchen. She sat down at her chair she usually sat at. Her eyes drooped telling that she didn't have a good night. She rested her head on the table about to fall asleep.

Rayne

Rayne woke up with a grunt and smacked his alarm clock to silence it. He groaned as he clutched his head, apparently pulling all nighters in order to study for exams wasn't the best for ones health, who knew? He got out of his bed and rubbed his eyes before looking around. The room was covered in Energy drink cans and pieces of scrap paper that just weren't good enough to make it into his book. He almost limped downstairs before giving a weak smile to Naomi who in turn chucked at him.

"Morning..." he murmured as he took his place on the dining table and began to pick what he would eat today and what was there to drink that wouldn't kill him.

"Do you have work today?" Naomi asked with an eyebrow raised at him and a gentle smile. She gave Nicholas a peck on his lips before looking back to Rayne.

"No thankfully, today's my day off" he chuckled.​

 

Naomi

Naomi raised an eyebrow before lifting Alex in the air and spinning her around a couple of times. She giggled with the littoe girl before giving her a peck on the cheek and smiling.

"And how is my little princess?" She asked as she placed Alex onto her special upraised chair so that she could reach the height of her siblings.

Naomi turned her attention to Lucas as she bent down on her knees to look up at him. She stroked his cheek adoringly before kissing his forehead.

"And how has my little man been?" She asked noticing dry tears on his face.

Adriana drifted asleep but soon jerked awake. She lifted her head and grabbed some pancakes and placing them on her plate. She buttered them then put syrup on them. She cut them neatly and stuck a piece in her mouth. "mmmmm, these are good" Adriana said and smiled.

Alexandria giggles and clings to her mother. Alexandria smiles. "Good mommy"she said and kicked her feet in her chair when she placed in it.She waited fir Naomi to give her sippy cup and food. Alexandria looked at her siblings with wide blue eye's. She spotted her father and squeaked. "Daddy. "She said and lifted her hands up to him.Alexandria didn't like sitting in her seat and knew she could get her dad to pick her up and put her in his lap.

Lucas shivered a little at his mother's touch as he absorbed the new feeling into his mind. Her hands were cold and felt nice against his warm face. He blinked and tears fell from his eyes a little more. He smiled as she kissed his forehead. He was then reminded of why he was crying because of her inquiry. He whimpered a little and pulled down the collar of his pajama shirt showing her the burn scars bellow his collarbone.


"Dah dreams mama...he back in Lucas's dream," the boy said. His voice quivered and he whimpered. His English was broken. The grammar was very bad. He was getting better and now he's gone back a few steps with what he'd just said. It was a simple sentence and he'd messed it up. He curled up his toes and balls his hands into little fists and sighed angrily. He was frustrated with himself now, practically forgetting about the dream now.

Naomi

"Ah..." Naomi said in acknowledgment. Out of all her years of psychology she met many children like Lucas yet having one of these children as your own son was a challenge all by itself. She lifted Lucas and placed him onto the counter top. Normally she would have told off the other kids for doing that but this was a one on one talk.

"That's bad of him, isn't it? Always coming back. Always causing trouble but you know..." she said as she gently placed her fingers on his fragile collarbone "We're always here too. And together, we are strong" she emphasised the last words with a grin. "That and I'm also taking you and your little sister Alex out for a fun day" she said to Lucas but also to the rest of the family so that they knew where they would be.

Rayne

Rayne chuckled at Adriana before shaking his head at her habits. He placed his hand on her plate before moving it away slightly. "Eat too fast and you'll end up eating everyone elses meals" he joked to her before smirking and pushing it back. At times, though it was embarrassing to admit, he really did care for half the people in this household.

Nicholas smiled at his daughter and picked her up slowly, once she was in his hands he kissed her forehead and tickled her tummy. "Hey sweety, do you want to sit with daddy?" he said playfully and then looked at his other kids. "Good morning everyone!"


Elizabeth heard her alarm clock going off and punched it to make it stop with the stupid music. She had been awake all night thinking about the new songs she needed for the album but her producer wanted a stupid love song and writing one was a challenge for Elizabeth since she had never been in love. She dressed in completely black clothes and walked down the stairs to meet her family "Hey"

Alexandria giggles. She laughed and clung to her father."yes pwease daddy."She said and clung to him. Alexandria loved sitting in his lap. She looked at her mother, she new her mother didn't like her to sit in his lap, but she loved eating there. Alex watched her siblings. She waved to Elizabeth when she walked in."Hi."She said in a small voice.

Paislee makes her way down the stairs sleepily, but the smell of homemade pancakes was one thing that could wake her up. Finally she makes her way down the staircase and into the kitchen where her mother and siblings were. "Thanks." She smiles and takes a plate. Only after a few short seconds, she gets in her seat and begins eating while the rest of the family talks.

Adriana smiled at Rayne and began to eat more slow. She looked over at her mother seeing lucas on the counter. She turned back to her plate finishing everything on it. she asked everyone "does anyone else want any pancakes cause if they don't im going to help myself"

Paislee shakes her head. "You can have them I'm pretty sure. The rule is whoever gets it first." She stands and washes her plate unsure of what to do today before work. "Adriana want to come shopping with me later or something?" Paislee turns around after finishing the dishes and smiles. "Unless you're busy." With this said, she walks back over to the table and sits back down.

"oh no it's fine, i'd love to go shopping with you" Adriana smiled. "anyways i need more jeans" Adriana said standing and walking over to the plate of pancakes. She grabbed two more pancakes and sat down starting to eat.

"Ok, well while you finish eating I am going to get dressed." She runs up the stairs and into her bedroom. Paislee digs through all her clothes until she finally comes across an outfit that was perfect for shopping. It was a black and white plaid shirt along with a grey tanktop and cutoff short shorts. She then heads to her sock dresser and slides on some white socks with her black combat boots. Ofcourse she adds the makeup and such things like that.

adriana stood finishing her breakfeast. She put her plate in the dishwasher, "We'll be back later" Adrianna walked out of the kitchen and waited in front of the door. She grabbed her purse making sure she had her wallet in it. She then grabbed some sneakers and slipped them on.

Paislee runs down the stairs and waves to her mom. "Ok, let's go." She grabs keys to the car without her mom knowing and slips outside. "Do you think she'll care?" A few seconds later, Paislee is in the seat and starts the ignition. "Ok lets go buy you some new jeans instead of letting you lock yourself in your room." She gently steps on the gas and they go towards the mall.

Lucas nodded and wiped his tears with the sleeve of his pajama shirt. He smiled when she touched his collarbone. His mommy always had a way with words. She knew how to make him feel better and be happy. Lucas put his hand on top of hers and giggled a little as his eyes got wide. A fun day with mommy?! He was excited already. Lucas leaned forward and blushed as he whispered in her eye,"I had an accident when I was sweeping...I soggy mama."
