Hardcore partyers, heavy drug addicts, elusive and enigmatic. Little to nothing is truly known about them, and when questioned either during police reports or by the neighbors, the landlords are both reluctant to answer, and seemingly agitated by accusations.

Notes from the landlords

The Victorian manors landlords, better known as the Wilson's, are a gradually retiring elderly couple. Slowly assuming the business would be their children, Katy and Michael Wilson, a dogmatic and equally secretive pair that execute abrasive natures, but manage civil interactions so long as the rent is paid, and there aren't any questions. They never really answer their phones.

Glossary

A residual haunting is a playback of a past event. The apparitions involved are supposedly not spirits, but "recordings" of the event.


The Stone Tape theory was introduced by a British archaeologist turned parapsychologist by the name of Lethbridge. He proposed that ghosts and hauntings are analogous to tape recordings, and that electrical mental impressions released during emotional or traumatic events can somehow be "stored" in moist rocks, trees and certain items, and "replayed" under certain conditions. He believed that ghosts were not spirits of the deceased, but were simply non-interactive recordings similar to a movie.


Ghost Lights are strange forms of light that appear in locations that have no logical explanation. These lights are usually found by fault lines, railroad tracks, or sources of water. Many believe (including us) that there are natural explanations for this phenomenon.


Globule would be a ball-shaped light, often seen in groups of two or more, that is visible to the naked eye. These are different than orbs because orbs cannot be seen by the eye but appear in a photo or video footage. Globules are a form generally associated with paranormal activity.


A haunting is a repeated appearance of paranormal activity associated with ghosts, spirits, poltergeists, or entities.


Hypnagogia is the transitional state between being awake and asleep.


Hypnopompia is the transitional state between being asleep and being awake.


Imprints are events, energy, and strong feelings or emotions that are left on an object, a location, or even a specific person.


A living apparition is the manifestation of an image of a living person that appears in a different location (often many miles away). This can occur in moments of danger or pain (crisis apparition) of related to astral projection and out-of-body experiences.


A lucid dream is a dream in which one is aware that one is dreaming


Sleeping paralysis is a temporary inability to move or speak while falling asleep or upon waking.


A malevolent spirit is a spirit who has ill-intent.


Manifestation would be the real signs of a haunting which can include visual, audio, touching, or smell.


Materialization is the sudden appearance of a spirit, ghost, or object.


Matrixing is the phenomenon of the mind to complete a picture that is not there. For example, tricks of shadow can make your mind create a face that is not there.


An apparition is a supernatural appearance of a person or thing, especially a ghost; a specter or phantom.


A poltergeist is a ghost or other supernatural being supposedly responsible for physical disturbances such as loud noises and objects thrown around.
