Blueheart sat soundlessly, limbs stiff from staying still for so long.
Today had been her day. After moons of training and giving everything she had, she had finally earned her warrior name.
Blueheart, after a cat from the legends the elders told, a great leader and a cat with the heart of a lion.
She couldn't be any more proud as she sat there, ears pricked and gaze lifted to the stars, from where, so she hoped, her namesake was watching and deeming her worthy of her name.

Her ears twitched in surprise when a shooting star, brighter than all the stars together, cut through the darkness of the night.
Was this a sign?
Would Smokefur, their medicine cat, tell them about a message from Star Clan tomorrow?
She turned her head to look at her brother Stormwing, but he stared ahead into the darkness of their camp's entrance like he hadn't even seen it.

The camp was a collection of caves in the mountainside, located at a plateau far above the ground and only reachable through a dense curtain of vines hanging from a tree that grew so strangely on the mountainside and over the entrance that it looked like a gigantic portal.
The wind up here was strong, but the Mountain Clan cats had learned to use it to their advantage, as the wind carried their scent away so the camp couldn't be found by going where it was the strongest.
The cold air also prevented the fresh kill- mainly birds and mice- from becoming crowfood as quickly as down in the forests.

Noticing Blueheart's gaze, Stormwing looked at his sister, his eyes dark in silent grief.
One cat was missing.
Lightkit.
Blueheart and Stormwing's cousin.
She didn't know exactly how her brother felt, but Blueheart felt guilty for barely remembering Lightkit.
It had been the hardest winter since the beginning of the Clans, and Lightkit...
All she remembered was Silversky, her and Stormwing's mother, carefully explaining that Lightkit was gone and wouldn't come back, and his mother Willowleaf grieving for so long, till the day she died in a battle three moons ago.
Lightkit.
It had happened just one moon before he would've become an apprentice.
He should've been here keeping watch with Stromwing and Blueheart, but he wasn't. And it stung through her heart with ice cold claws.

All of a sudden, while Blueheart was still trying to remember more about Lightkit, a silver light flooded the camp. Blueheart's eyes widened in astonishment, but again, Stormwing didn't seem to see a thing.
Not even the grey cat with a hint of silver around her nose and striking blue eyes that looked so similar to her own, stars sparkling in the cat's fur as it approached.
"Blueheart", the cat said, and a proud expression crossed her face for a moment, "listen closely: the clans are in great danger. You and two other cats from Dawn- and Bramble Clan have been chosen to save them. Come to the gathering spot tonight and head for the twoleg place together. There you will learn more."
And the cat disappeared as quickly as she had appeared, leaving a very confused Blueheart behind.

Meanwhile in the twoleg place, a young tomcat stirred in his sleep as he dreamed of the twolegs destroying the entire forest. All of a sudden, the scenery changed to pure darkness and a beautfiul, sand-colored she-cat with stars in her fur and Jade green eyes walked up to him.
"Willowleaf", he said bewilderedly, sage green eyes wide. "What was that? It felt so real..."

"It's the future", the Star Clan cat explained sadly. "Four cats are being sent on a journey to find a new place for the clans to live, but they have to venture farther than Star Clan can go."
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Because you are the fourth."
Milo's jaw dropped at that revelation. Why in all worlds would Star Clan send a kittypet like him on a journey to save the clans? There had to be more, a reason behind this, and he was sick of knowing so little about what was going on past his garden fence.
"What?! Why me? I'm just some kittypet stuck with a pair of twolegs."
"You are far more than you think, but for now, you must find the other three cats. They will come tonight."
Milo, in a desperate attempt to make Willowleaf stay and explain what she had just told him, was clawing at thin air while she disappeared right in front of him.

The tom's head shot up from his paws as he woke up. His ears twitched, listening intently to the calm, slow breathing of his twolegs.
They were fast asleep.
Milo silently stumbled to his paws in his sleeping spot by their feet and threw one last, wistful glance at them while he silently bid them goodbye. They had been good twolegs, had always been nice to him, but he knew, now more than ever, that his heart belonged outside this place. He needed to go and see that world Willowleaf had told him about ever since he had first dreamed of her three moons ago, even if it meant leaving his twolegs behind.
He silently ventured through their nest and through the flap in the back door that allowed him to go whenever he wanted. They probably had never thought that one day he wouldn't come back.

His sage green eyes shone through the nightly dark as Milo was perched on his fence; the nest was located relatively central in the twoleg place, so if there would be any foren cats, he was likely to hear about it sooner or later; the cats here talked a lot.

Foxshade
Only a moon since the young, orange tom had become a warrior and, yet, he felt as if he had been a warrior for so much longer. Foxshade watched the stars from his nest right at the bramble entrance of the warriors den. His green eyes reflected them with wonder as he thought about what Starclan had planned next for him. There were kits to be apprentice soon and he silently prayed that one would be his so that he could be one step closer to being the youngest deputy the clans had ever seen.

Foxshade had always been rather ambitious and he knew that the current deputy was growing weak fast. As much as he respected the old warrior, he knew that Talonstar would need a stronger, younger set of paws and who else would he choose but his old apprentice.
I'll make my mark for all of us, he silently called to the darkness as a shooting star streaked the sky. He liked to think it was his mother, Sunfeather, and siblings, Amberpaw and Gingerpaw. They had all tragically perished in a fire that had shot up in the forest moons ago. He recalled Amberpaw exclaiming she was going back for them, she had always been the most reckless and brave. Foxshade shoot his head. There was nothing I could do. He reminded himself.

Looking back at the sky, Foxshade was soon frozen in awe as a silver light flooded his vision. No one else stirred from around him. A brown, tabby tom with powerful shoulders stood in front of him lined with silver. His eyes were Amber and they reminded him so much of his sister.

"Dear Foxshade," the tom shook his large head and seemed to be slightly smiling as if faced with something he cannot believe. "It is good to finally meet you." Foxshade was confused, but before he could ask, the cat continued with a face much graver.

"The clans are in danger and you have been chosen among two others to save it. You must go, tonight, to the fathering spot and head to the twoleg place. There we will guide you further." Foxshade was about to protest, but, as quickly as the amber eyes appeared, they were gone.

Wolfpaw
He should of been asleep after all the young, fluffy tom's assessment was tomorrow. Wolfpaw's body tingled all over as he tried to sleep as his sister, Swanstrike, had insisted. It felt like just yesterday that the tom was brought into the clan and given a chance to live life as a clan cat. Dawnclan didn't have to, yet, they had accepted the motherless kit as one of their own to the point that he never felt out of place. Well, that was kind of a lie. He felt it was his duty to do everything and all things to show his adoptive clan that taking him in was not a mistake and, soon, it would all pay off.

"I'm to be a Warrior!" He exclaimed.
"Not if you are too tired for your assessment," Rushpaw grumbled as he turned away with his ears pressed against his head. Wolfpaw ducked his head and whispered an apology before laying down to sleep, but sleep was not what met him, but instead he opened his eyes to see jet-black paws with claws so pristine white just inches from his nose. He jumped back and squeaked getting another hiss from Rushpaw that turned over. He watched his den-mate open his eyes, but not notice the cat and instead drift off back to sleep.

"No one else can see me, Wolfpaw," the she-cats calm voice was like honey and he found he relaxed quickly looking into her silvery eyes. "Good. I have a mission for you, little dawn apprentice," she purred and he found himself wanting to hear more of her words. "The clans are in need of a cat like you to save them from the troubles to come, but you will not do this alone. A cat from each clan has been chosen and you must meet tonight at the Three Stones where you will head towards the twoleg place and await our call."

Still stunned, Wolfpaw was unable to speak before the raven colored cat just evaporated in the darkness of the night leaving only her silver eyes in his memory and utter bewilderment.

[ahhh I totally overlooked your reply o.O]

Blueheart silently got up, looking apologetically at her brother, who shot her a confused, almost startled look.
No wonder, she was supposed to sit here and keep her watch until the sun would rise and Fawnstar would allow her to stand up; but instead, she was heading for the entrance, leaving a very confused and very worried Stormwing to watch her disappear.
I'm sorry, she thought she, starting to doubt her own mind... Maybe she had just been too tired and was imagining things...
But that star-clan cat... No, it had all been far too vivid to be a waking dream...

Her steps were soundless when she slipped through the curtain of branches and Vines and climbed down the steep and narrow mountain path behind it.
A call from Star Clan was nothing to be ignored.
A faint, wistful smile played on her lips as she thought back to the first day of her training.
She had been so excited to finally leave the camp and learn everything that she lost her balance on the path and would have fallen down the mountainside if her mentor Rockclaw hadn't gripped her by her neck fur and pulled her back.

It was close to sunrise right now, so Blueheart knew she had to hurry if she didn't want to be caught by a morning patrol near the border.
Especially if Rockclaw would be in that patrol, which often was the case because he usually used the morning patrol to hunt and stock up the freshkill pile.

She silently made her way through the marshland, ducking behind every shrub and bush to avoid being seen at all costs while the sun slowly peaked over the horizon and spread the golden light of a sunset over the land, the light reflecting and glittering in the small ponds.
Normally, Blueheart had always enjoyed the sight, always taken a couple of spare moments to enjoy it, but this time she was too busy thinking, worrying about what the future would hold for her and the clans. When Star Clan was sending a warning, it was nothing to be underestimated for sure.

A silent, relieved sigh escaped Blueheart's mouth at the sight of the Three Stones, where the clans met every full moon.
Thank Star Clan she had made it this far without being caught. But she knew they'd have to move quickly, or they'd for sure be found by someone when moving through Bramble Clan territory, which they would have to cross to get to the twoleg place.
star clan help us... , She sent a hurried prayer before she climbed on one of the rocks to look out for the other cats the Star Clan cat had mentioned. They should arrive soon, she hoped...
