The God-Slaying Arts

During the First Age, the Yozis seethed with anger.  So great was their anger that they sought to destroy the very fabric of the Celestial Hierarchy that they themselves had created and the Exalts who supported those Gods.  Impotent it their fury, they sought to create a way for rebellious mortals to strike against the Gods.  In the end, they created the God-Slaying Arts.

They were spread to any mortal who raged impotently against the dominion of the Gods, who railed against the Heavens, who were willing to forgo the promise of immortality for the certainty of revenge.  Designed to benefit only UnExalted Mortals, they were unlearnable by any creature of greater Enlightenment.  The cost for the UnExalted Mortal who learned them was great however.  They would never God-Blooded, they would never become an Exalt and they would never become a Demon, an Elemental, a Ghost or a God.  They would only have one life and, after they died, their souls would be lost.  It was a price that many were willing to pay.

There are many God-Slaying Arts, but they all have a common root, and that is the Art of Balance.  No other God-Slaying Art may exceed the Art of Balance.  The God-Slaying Arts cost 8 BP per level or 12 XP for the first level and 8*current level in XP for each additional level.  The Mortal must have Essence Mastery in order to learn any of the God-Slaying Arts.
