The year is 2017. Wars that were fought out in the open has long since been forgotten. Now, wars are fought behind the scenes utilizing all that technology has to offer. Such as cloaking technology, masks that can change your face, weapons that use plasma as their main ammunition and even equipment that can change the laws of physics. But because of this, many of the Council's nations are afraid that their darkest secrets might be revealed. These countries include The Despotic Monarchy of Iran, The Enlightened State of Egypt, The United Kingdoms, The United Provinces, The United States of the American Federation, The Shinto Empire, The Unified Commonwealth, The South American Union, The Papal States, The Empire of the Phoenix and The Chinese-Soviet Union. There are many agencies that are in this line of work but there are only a few that stand out. All these groups wage a secret and unending war, each trying to get a leg up on the other. But, who will give out first?

The Freelancers have been around for quite a while. They were first created as an experiment, to see if a human, through the use of both genetic and neural enhancements, could have a functional AI added into their brain. The experiment was a success, and that was why the Director ordered their liquidation. Things didn't really pan out afterwards, what with the Agents and Operatives arming themselves and fighting back, eventually overwhelming the normal human soldiers. Afterwards, they split off from the (CLASSIFIED)'s Government to re-create their agency as the best guards in the world.

The Patrol is an offshoot of (REMOVED)'s Stealthed Armor Regiment, their original purpose being a light scout company as well as an ambush unit. After a few years, the project was discontinued due to political problems. A few years later, a shady looking man gathered what was left of the unit and used their knowledge to recreate the SAR unit, resulting in a huge success. Their first operation was a war in the East, against the Shinto Empire. In the war, they were brutally effective against the Honorbounds warriors of the East, easily crushing them and securing a victory for the Federation.

The Atlas Corporations' literal Ace in the hole, they are the very best the corporate giant has to offer. Most of the members have undergone either cybernetic enhancements or genetic modifications and as such, many of their member's were either the best combat specialists that Atlas could hire or people who had sold their lives for money.

The geography of our world is no different, although history is. Instead of being a Democratic Republic, America has become a Federal Government, with a Top Brass of 28 being elected and then an Overseer chosen from among their ranks. World War I and II never happened, and as such Germany grew in power until it encompassed all of Easter Europe as well as Scandinavia creating the Unified Commonwealth with an election cycle of 40 years. Communism still survives and the only two communist states, The USSR and The People's Republic of China come together to form the Chinese-Soviet Union. The entirety of the Middle East and the Indian Sub-Continent is under the control of Iran while all of Africa has been either colonized or conquered by Egypt. Japan rapidly grew until it encompassed what was left of Asia not under the control of Iran or the CSU, including Australia, thus creating the Shinto Empire. The Papal States somehow avoided being assimilated by the CommonWealth by allying itself to the UK and the Federation and has control over all of Italy. The United Provinces endured the test of time and now controls all French, Spanish and Portuguese territories. The South American Union was created after the fall of Spain and Portugal, becoming a superpower. The Byzantium Empire never fell to the Ottomans, but instead re-conquered them, but has been renamed the Empire of the Phoenix, controlling all of Turkey and Greece.
