Appearance:
7066677166631540a86c634123dd263b.jpg
Name: Samuel "Sam" Hughes
Alias: "The Kid"
Age: 19
Personality: Saying that Sam is naive is an understatement. The kid is practically living in a completely different world. A beautiful, happy, peaceful world, which is far, far from the truth. He's incredibly earnest and kind, almost scarily so, and doesn't have a hateful bone in his body. His background as a Quaker has instilled in him a deep sense of love for others, and he will help literally anyone, no matter how vile they are. But there's something...inside of Sam. Something dark. He doesn't know it's there, but something is beneath the surface, ready to be released.
Background: Sam was born to a quaint little Quaker family that went west from Pennsylvania, looking to find peace away from civilization. They were able to get a small patch of land, and have run a ranch ever since. Sam was the third generation of this, being raised on values of hard work, honesty, and kindness. The Hughes family were a good bunch, if a bit detached from the world, and as the only child, Sam got all the attention. In all honesty, he's had a completely mundane life. No great tragedy, no miraculous event. He was just a decent kid. The only big thing that's happened to him recently is that he turned nineteen, and supposedly, some odd figures have been seen around the farm. Probably nothing, though...
Misc: is birthday is April 3rd.

Appearance:
1598131321145.png
Name: Connor James McKinley
Alias: "War" "The Devil's Man"
Age: 30
Personality: No one's fuse is as short as Connor's. Almost as soon as you touch a match to it he goes off. And to make matters worse, he's often in a bad mood to begin with. All he needs is an excuse to pull out one of his revolvers and blow the offending party's brains out. He might not even take the time to pull the revolver out and instead beat you to death with whatever is on hand, or lack there of.
Background: (Can be developed OOCly)
Misc: His arsenal is fairly wide, two revolvers, twelve shots before he has to reload them, a lever action rifle, and a sawed off shotgun, allows him to adapt to any gun fight he's thrown into. His horse, Stepper (named for the way he seems to constantly want to prance), has been with him since the beginning, and is one of the few, if not only, thing he cares about.

Appearance:
.jpg
Name: Jonsi Frederick Haelleri
Alias: Famine
Age: 24
Personality: Jonsi isn't bad per se, he merely is not the best with his emotions or understanding social queues. He likes who or what he likes, but has issue comprehending how it effects others. Coveting people or things far too close or he'll snap when pushed too far no matter what the situation is and will act uncaring and devoid of emotion while doing the worst of acts.
Background: Born of a gypsy woman and a reputable business man. It wasn't the best of unions with her family not approving of it seeing as it was outside of their beliefs, but they loved each other still. When he reached schooling age she set off to traveling once again so he rarely saw her but he never suffered. Living well and causing hell for his ever caring father.
Misc: He always has a pistol on him and long powder blue scarf made for him by his mother. He has a pet horse named Pepita whom he shows much affection for.

50ca16f1f4c2228a942d9283ea514870.jpgher name: Persephone Clay
also known as: Percy, Death, gambler, pom
age: twenty-eight

persona: she is kind to most, and a great empathetic. but always suspicious of others. often sports a smirk or bemused expression. she enjoys laughing, joking and singing but will seldom do so in the presence of those she has no connection with. she always treats everyone she meets with the same courteousness and dignity she expects back. however- those who do not reciprocate quickly find out that miss clay has learnt more in her life than how to sew, ride a horse or recite verses. she can be incredibly proud also...in a way that comes off as innocence at her self. despite her scars, emotional and physical, many simultaneously adore her and fear her. in moments of conflict and bad rapport, she can quite easily become distressed or annoyed, or resort to means that give a quick end. most conflicts bore her you see. never underestimate the cool demeanour of miss clay. it could mean the difference between you having the last word, or her.
background summary: persephone clay was born without a family in the East End of London, and was raised there till she was fourteen, within the walls of a horrendous "boarding school" whose headmasters often took young children in out of pity, or wanting of eventual new staff. while here she was involved in an accident that scarred her. but that's a story for another time........
close to her eighteenth birthday, whereon she would be kicked out, a new benefactor visited the school and upon being served tea by percy, he inquired into her situation. fate, appearance and her time spent studying favored her that day. she was practically "adopted" by the end of the hour, and on her way to a much cleaner part of London. as a stewardess, she cared for and taught Mr. Clay's three children. she was granted the family name three years into her service. most people assumed the widower and herself married- but this was never the case.
at twenty-two, the Clay family's business found more money in America. in fact several families relocated when they did.
having no quarrel with adventure, percy was excited at the prospect of a different way of living.
she has lived here ever since. of course- she has since left the Clay's, the children having grown and taken over their families company.
these days, persephone clay remains in a large-ish town "in the middle of nowhere", running a gambling house, thanks to money left by the since passed Mr. Clay.
she despises gambling- honestly..... but it has an incredible allure for men and women alike. and allure means money.
for many years, persephone has been in abundance. she will continue to be..... the inevitability of gambling is fascinating.

weapons: while she considers herself a bit of a pacifist, percy is not a stranger to methods of wanton hurt. in the event of a fight she prefers close-quarters street style combat, aided by the sharp knife she keeps within her breast pocket, and the sharper knife she keeps strapped to her thigh. she also procures poisons and ill draughts on a fortnightly basis. they are put to good use weekly. besides these, she also keeps a pretty standard six-shot revolver on her hip at all times. she is also learned in the use of a rifle. so far, she has only given a swift death to fauna with this type of weapon.
misc:
- she owns and cares for a pale honey mare named Amara, whom she came into possession of the day her family traveled to America. She was a gift from her "father". Originally intended for simple riding and eventual breeding, Amara has grown into a strong capable horse of great stamina. she has borne no foals.
- her accent remains thickly English. however, she has been known to apply a drawl to some words. especially when she is angry. friends of her's joke she sounds irish when this happens
- she can quickly get sick of staying inside so often so she goes on strolls around town, to visit her family, and has even accompanied adventuring parties in the past- including the other three
- she is aware of the "crush" Mr. McKinley has on her, and in the past has made remarks about it with the intention of getting a rise but nowadays she has started to treat it much more seriously
- her relationships with the other three vary greatly~

"Of all the horsemen, and I am the bespoken Pestilence?
Surely, you gentlemen must know that I am the most hygienic among my compatriots.
No offense, War."

- Charlotta, Northwest Territory.

Name: Karl Wilhelm Ferdinand
Alias: "The German" / "The White Horseman"
Age: 28

Personality:
Witty quips, erudite remarks and a knack for civil discourse over brawls are the trademarks of the White Horse. Ferdinand is an ardent practitioner of many crafts and arts, making him a well-spoken gentleman for most. Where words fail, he shows an impeccable facade of tranquility, and resilience under fire. Ferdinand is often times considered the quartermaster of the crew, well-versed in the arts of mediation between him and the other horsemen.

Background:
Ferdinand was born and raised in Magdeburg, a regular Prussian as any. He enlisted in the army upon coming of age and saw actions in Denmark. Having tasted the thrills of battles, the man moved to America during the turbulent end of the divided states, where he volunteered once again in the field. Little is known of his life in between, aside from his recent company of the Horseman of War - McKinley. Ferdinand is known as the White Horseman or Pestilence due to his fatally creative ways to go about a fight, and the tendency to annoy his peers into maintaining their equipment and funds proper.

Misc:
Ferdinand is the Four's designated quartermaster, with an assortment of weapons and supplies for almost any situation.
Ferdinand is an adept rifleman, and prefers to keep distance with his opponents with a slight emphasis on accuracy over speed. This makes him a deadly sharpshooter in an ambush or long-range skirmish. His main arms consist of an Arkansas toothpick, a Colt M1851 revolver, and a Girardoni air rifle. The latter mostly used during night raids, as it leaves neither muzzle flash and smoke signature nor any loud noises aside from the soft click of the trigger and faux-hammer.
Ferdinand dons a weathered German Waffenrock uniform, as well as a distinctive Prussian dialect, which earned him the moniker "The German".
