The rising moon
In the year 3093 a new government has taken control of the world. They are known as the I.R.I.S. or the International Republic of Instituted Safety. They have one priority, and that is the "safety" of those living under their "protection". This has lead to new instituted laws that restrict many daily activities for the sake of safety and harsh punishments for law breakers. Due to this the previous United States has been reformed into a prison colony holding the millions of people imprisoned for small violations. In an attempt to increase public acceptance of the prison colony a large group of death row inmates have been sectioned off in what was once San Francisco California. On every side of the city lines stands twenty foot high solid steel walls with electrified barbed wire at the top. The city has been stocked with food and supplies as if people had inhabited it only the other day, but two surprises exist. The first surprise known to the inmates and the public, is that hundreds of mutant experiments have been unleashed throughout the city and must be fended off with improvised weaponry and occasional weapons spread throughout the city hidden in dangerous locations. The last secret is known only the the inmates and the government. Each inmate who has been placed in the forsaken city has been framed for their crime. None of the men and women placed in this forsaken city have committed a crime in their life, but they were all in the perfect place for a government official to blame them for a crime of theirs. This is where the games begin, as the progress of the inmates is spread across the globe, a rumor is spread as well. Their is a way out, but it is deep within the old subway tunnels at the heart of the mutant nest. If the rumor is true it will be a gamble of life or death to get to the subways themselves, let alone escape. Welcome to the forsaken city, enjoy your stay.
