The enemy of humanity, monsters are abundant in Terra, seen in Oblivi, and rare in Paradi. Because they are a worldwide menace, the continents have allied with one another to face this dangerous threat. Monsters are creatures of chaos, a natural yet destructive force. The concentration of chaos within monsters determines their tier; a man-made system used to determine a monster's threat level. S-tier monsters are always carnivorous, large, and in rare instances display some twisted form of magic. Fortunately, S-tiers are few and hardly seen. The issue arises with the lower tiers which are in abundance. Their numbers make them difficult to deal with. In terms of appearance, a majority of monsters possess a slight resemblance to animals. On top of that monsters share the names of their less vicious look alike. Context is needed when referring to monsters or animals. Humans and monsters have been at odds for millennia for a seemingly endless amount of reasons. From habitat destruction to carnivorous appetites, monsters and humans aren't meant to mingle. However, the true reason for the seemingly natural animosity towards one another stems from the beginning of time, creation to be exact. Mana created the inhabitants of Eterna. While chaos, the energy of destruction, darkness, and fear created monsters. It's safe to say, humans and monsters were born to clash. In short, monsters are humanity's natural threat. However it should be said, there are instances where S even A tier monsters show restraint in displaying malice towards humans. In conclusion, unless given the incentive to do otherwise, one should be on guard for these natural beasts of chaos.
S - Tier ➔ The strongest kind of Monster. These monstrosities are humanity's biggest threat. They always demonstrate some twisted form of magic and some semblance of intelligence. However, it should be said S - tier monsters don't go out their way to terrorize humans, but, they have no empathy if they need to slaughter a few to keep them out of their "territory". In addition, S - Tier monsters are known to eat their own (lower tier), revealing they don't discriminate about wanting their territory to themselves. Many S - Tiers have been alive for decades and have defeated many slayers, taking one down isn't an easy feat.
A - Tier ➔ The second in standing, A - Tier monsters pose a nasty threat. It should be said most A - Tier are actually few in number in terms of diversity. There are Wolves, Heulins, Serpents, Falko, Beagri, and Insecti. Unfortunately, Wolves, Heulins and Insecti are known to form groups meaning you'll never face just one. In terms of raw strength, A - Tiers truly deserve credit. Albeit rare, some A - Tiers can display "magic", the kind typically seen in S-Tiers. In short, A - Tier monsters shouldn't be disregarded.
B - Tier ➔ The gatekeepers of serious danger, B - Tier monsters are where true troubles begin. These creatures of chaos usually display some form of arrogance, actually hunting humans, looking for some form of fight. These haughty beast do deserve credit, given they're typically big in size and display brutish strength. Surprisingly, unlike their A - Tier counterparts, B - Tiers are rarely seen in groups, preferring to go about life alone, similar to S - Tiers. That being said, they've earned the nickname, "Keepers" given the fact they tend to "guard" places they consider their home, be it a cave or praire.
C - Tier ➔ The most common, annoying tier of monsters, C - tier. These medium-sized problems aren't typically a problem by themselves. It's their numbers. Quick breeders, C - Tier monsters seem to only increase in population size. As a result, they're known to attempt to overrun small towns for new habitats. C - Tier monsters aren't afraid of human interaction and will willingly attack. However, they are just known to massacre life stock.
D - Tier ➔ The smallest, least threatening of their race, D - Tier monsters don't hold much to their name. They tend to stick to attacking wild animals and don't willingly interact with humans. However, if they are in the premise of their natural enemy, they become feral and terribly vicious. Fortunately, they're easy to dispose of.
