The enemy of humanity, monsters are abundant in Terra, seen in Oblivi, and rare in Paradi. Because they are a worldwide menace, the continents have allied with one another to face this dangerous threat. Monsters are creatures of chaos, a natural yet destructive force. The concentration of chaos within monsters determines their tier; a man-made system used to determine a monster's threat level. S-tier monsters are always carnivorous, large, and in rare instances display some twisted form of magic. Fortunately, S-tiers are few and hardly seen. The issue arises with the lower tiers which are in abundance. Their numbers make them difficult to deal with. In terms of appearance, a majority of monsters possess a slight resemblance to animals. On top of that monsters share the names of their less vicious look alike. Context is needed when referring to monsters or animals. Humans and monsters have been at odds for millennia for a seemingly endless amount of reasons. From habitat destruction to carnivorous appetites, monsters and humans aren't meant to mingle. However, the true reason for the seemingly natural animosity towards one another stems from the beginning of time, creation to be exact. Mana created the inhabitants of Eterna. While chaos, the energy of destruction, darkness, and fear created monsters. It's safe to say, humans and monsters were born to clash. In short, monsters are humanity's natural threat. However it should be said, there are instances where S even A tier monsters show restraint in displaying malice towards humans. In conclusion, unless given the incentive to do otherwise, one should be on guard for these natural beasts of chaos.

S - Tier ➔ The strongest kind of Monster. These monstrosities are humanity's biggest threat. They always demonstrate some twisted form of magic and some semblance of intelligence. However, it should be said S - tier monsters don't go out their way to terrorize humans, but, they have no empathy if they need to slaughter a few to keep them out of their "territory". In addition, S - Tier monsters are known to eat their own (lower tier), revealing they don't discriminate about wanting their territory to themselves. Many S - Tiers have been alive for decades and have defeated many slayers, taking one down isn't an easy feat.

A - Tier ➔ The second in standing, A - Tier monsters pose a nasty threat. It should be said most A - Tier are actually few in number in terms of diversity. There are Wolves, Heulins, Serpents, Falko, Beagri, and Insecti. Unfortunately, Wolves, Heulins and Insecti are known to form groups meaning you'll never face just one. In terms of raw strength, A - Tiers truly deserve credit. Albeit rare, some A - Tiers can display "magic", the kind typically seen in S-Tiers. In short, A - Tier monsters shouldn't be disregarded.

B - Tier ➔ The gatekeepers of serious danger, B - Tier monsters are where true troubles begin. These creatures of chaos usually display some form of arrogance, actually hunting humans, looking for some form of fight. These haughty beast do deserve credit, given they're typically big in size and display brutish strength. Surprisingly, unlike their A - Tier counterparts, B - Tiers are rarely seen in groups, preferring to go about life alone, similar to S - Tiers. That being said, they've earned the nickname, "Keepers" given the fact they tend to "guard" places they consider their home, be it a cave or praire.

C - Tier ➔ The most common, annoying tier of monsters, C - tier. These medium-sized problems aren't typically a problem by themselves. It's their numbers. Quick breeders, C - Tier monsters seem to only increase in population size. As a result, they're known to attempt to overrun small towns for new habitats. C - Tier monsters aren't afraid of human interaction and will willingly attack. However, they are just known to massacre life stock.

D - Tier ➔ The smallest, least threatening of their race, D - Tier monsters don't hold much to their name. They tend to stick to attacking wild animals and don't willingly interact with humans. However, if they are in the premise of their natural enemy, they become feral and terribly vicious. Fortunately, they're easy to dispose of.

Paradi.jpg
(* means it's a spot)

The continent of Paradi is ruled by the Yystanian Empire. Through the past thousand years, the kingdom of Yystania allied and conquered the other existing kingdoms. Although, the Emperor has the last say in drastic affairs regarding Paradi, smaller pieces of the empire our governed by the kings and queens of the allied or conquered kingdoms. They are listed below.

The Base Kingdom of the Empire, Yystania. Its people are endowed with light magic. This ability allows them to materialize weapons of light and radiate light from their hands. In addition to this, some are born with the rare ability of wind magic - the ability to manipulate the air around them. Their initial lands are barren and desert-like. this is what initiated the conquest and merging of the other kingdoms. The Kingdom of Yystania's colors are white and gold, their symbol a sword with a golden handle and diamond at the tip on a white tapestry.

However, the Empire's symbol is a burning great sword facing down with an emerald green handle and sapphire on the hilt. This picture is placed on a white tapestry. To symbolize the empire, many just wear gold jewelry. To specify kingdoms within the empire one would wear either a ruby, sapphire, diamond, or emerald.

Erynada, the Kingdom of Nature. Erynada was one of the consensual merges to the Yystanian Empire. Fifty years ago, the third princess of the kingdom married the second prince of the Yystanian Empire, solidifying the bond between the two kingdoms. Erynada's population was the largest on Paradi, which caught the eye of Yystania. Moreso, Erynadians are naturally inclined to Earth magic and Land Beast Taming. Valuable gifts any large Empire would need to feed and protect their people. Erynadian colors are green and brown, their symbol a white tree with gold and green leaves on an orange tapestry.

* This kingdom has a crown prince.

Merda, the KIngdom of the Sea. Just like Erynada, Merda willingly merged into Yystania. Primarily because their population was small and resistance would've been futile. Unlike Erynada, Merda has yet to wed any of their kin into the Adler Royal Family. What Merda brings to the Yystanian Empire is immense. The people of Merda possess a primordial blessing with the waters of the world. As a result, Merdans are the best ship captains in the world. An invaluable skill when the only other transportation to the other continent is magic. Similar to Erynadians, Merdans can tame beasts, but only the ones of the sea. A beneficial ability when traversing Eterna's waters. Merda's colors are blue and silver, their symbol a blue trident with silver carvings on a white tapestry.

* This kingdom has two prominent noble families.
one possesses the voice of the siren - only in the females of the family
one possesses the ability to call down storms

Lastly, we have Pyro, the Tribes of Blaze. Unlike Merda and Erynada, the Tribes of Blaze didn't come into the Empire willingly. The assimilation only occurred through a five-year battle. At the time, Yystania was already allied with Erynada and made quick work of the scattered tribes. However, due to their spread-out nature, it was hard to fully subdue the rebellion. In addition to their scattered people, the tribe's people were gifted with the blessing of the dragons. This meant Pyro's tribespeople were born with fire magic, an extremely potent ability. In addition, large settlements of the people of Pyro were typically protected by adult dragons. Sadly, Yystania's numbers were overwhelming and with the help of Erynda, they were successful in merging the Tribes of Blaze with the empire. Due to their rocky beginnings, Yystania insisted on a union of the Tribeman and a pure-blooded Yystanian. Reluctantly, the tribe of Blaze agreed, and twenty years ago the sister of the Emperor married the Chieftan of Blaze. The Tribes of Blaze's symbol is a torch, their color red.

*This tribe is secluded deep in Paradi. Only one female associated with the Tribe of Blaze is a known slayer.

Olibi.jpg
* crown prince
The continent of Oblivi is dictated by the merciless Blood King, Zaiko. He rules with an iron fist and demands undying loyalty. He rules with fear and craves power. Strangely enough, The Blood King has many children. Many, many, children. Out of the fifty children Zaiko has scattered throughout the dark continent, only five are given his attention, one being the crown prince. Although Zaiko's say is final, Oblivi has the shadow council. A group of nobles who advise and inform this bloodthirsty king. The people of Oblivi have the eyes of the moon, an ability that allows them to see in black and white in the dark. In addition to this, the people of Oblivi, although rare, can be born with blood magic. This magic allows them to manipulate the blood of their enemies and their own. As if this weren't enough, some possess telekinesis. The sigil of Oblivi is a pair of white fangs on a black tapestry. It's traditional for men and women of Oblivi when they come of age to shape their canines into fangs. This nation's colors are black, and white. It should be noted, the two reasons Oblivi hasn't tried to conquer Terra or Paradi is because of Monsters and their need for Paradi's earth magic. In conclusion, this is a dangerous land.

Arc One: The Beginning
Terra has seen an unnatural increase in Tier A and B monsters. At first, their Slayers were managing the problem. But when an S-tier killed the Pillar of Slaying Society, Terra requested assistance from Paradi and Oblivi. With uncanny eagerness, Yystania sent over their heirs to help the nationwide campaign to vanquish at least 45% of the monster population. In response, Oblivi sent their crown prince and noblemen. The journey is estimated to take a year and a half, the reward great. Although some didn't heed the call of their respective kingdoms, many renowned slayers and skilled mages joined the party. In the early morning of a summer day, the soon to be heroes of Eterna will gather at, "The Rose". The capital of Terra. Here they will prepare for their first destination, an overrun village at the edge of Terra.
