The Fantaseries II: Slavadia

Reve the Third

The King of Slavadia
Basic Slavadia Overview

Slavadia is a place parallel to earth, filled with magical beings known popular in fantasy and mythical lore, as well as creatures purely native to the planet. It revolves perfectly 365 days around the sun, and rotates exactly 24 hours… unlike Earth, which only has approximate values to such. In contrast to earth, it’s only 30% water to 70% land, with the majority of water being at the southern pole of the world. There is a variety of climates In Slavadia; most climates are familiar, but Some places of Slavadia are quite alien, making the planet Unique.

There are a total of 3 continents: Sigudo, Shagudo, and Segudo. Each has completely different characteristics with one another.

Sigudo: Anyone who lives on Slavadia knows that this continent is the safest, non-corrupt and pure of the three… not saying that it’s perfect. The continent is surrounded by an enormous corruption barrier that prevents those with corruption, or those who have intentions of physically, magically, spiritually or alchemically harming anyone who resides in the continent from coming in. Sigudo is controlled by one king who rules it. As of the 2021st year since the planets creation (which is 2021 on Earth not-coincidentally), the ruler is known to be Reve the Third, who is making sure the peace, continues on in the continent.

Shagudo: This continent takes more than 60% of the entire planet, being bigger than Sigudo and Segudo combined. It’s in the middle of the world, splitting Sigudo and Segudo apart from each other. Shagudo is not only the biggest, but it also holds the most climates and kingdoms, ranging from green Mainlands, to the dessert and volcanic Deadlands, to the snowy Northern Mountains, to the blue Southern Sea (will be explained in a future topic). Shagudo is hit-and-miss if you’re looking for a reasonable civilization. Some places are very welcoming to outsiders, others would have otherwise, and even some will kill on site! But overall, the culture of Shagudo is very diverse… but not as diverse as it used to be, due to how prone it is to wars and genocides.

Segudo: Not only is it on the opposite side of the world from Sigudo, but it’s also completely opposite in nature, being nothing but evil and corrupt. Segudo is so corrupt, that it has a visible aura to it that makes everyone know how much they should not even step foot into the soil… which even the soil is corrupt; one step into the continent and you will instantly be filled with the corrupt energy, forcing you to no longer have your original body and transform into a monster (which varies on what you turn into depending on your species). You’ll no longer have a mind of your own, and you’ll do nothing but be in control of the ruler of Segudo, whom as of 2021st year, is a shadowy being known as Nirathak… He’s as evil as he sounds.

Slavadia is a place full of Mana, which is what people of this planet use for magic. But while many races and creatures are more than capable of using magic, some races, while they aren't so magically inclined, have other ways of using mana, such as Alchemy and, most recently, magitech. (Though, magitech is new to the world, and not many people even know about it)

Basic Slavadia Element Rules

There are 6 Primary elements, with 1-3 secondary elements to them:

· Light=lightning, spirit, holy

· Fire=Inferno, heating

· Ground=Nature, lava, mineral (rock, stone, ore, gem, etc)

· Shadow=ghost, illusion, necromancy

· Water=Ice, cooling

· Wind=weather (heat, cold, dry, wet)

People who dwell on Slavadia must learn to gain control of a primary element before learning the secondary element (to be explained in a future topic). Those who attempt to control a secondary element first will find trouble learning the other elements in the chain. One will also find much trouble learning all the other elements once he/she obtains control of an element chain.

The greatest trouble of controlling multiple elements is an opposing element chain (i.e. fire-water, wind-ground, light-shadow) for if they attempt it, not only will they have a high chance of failure, but there’s an even higher chance of the magic compound conflicting the caster’s body, tearing them apart and instantly killing them. Should they survive the confliction, their magic will become corrupt, and will no longer be as affective.

There has been known instances of successful attempts of controlling multiple elements, even opposing elements… but they are so rare, that no one would believe they existed, had there not been a king who had such a power of the elements. However, it is impossible to control all the elements; all elements except one can be controlled at one time. What element is that? Well…

It’s been known that people can use Mana as an element, but it’s rare to see a mana caster, considering how hard it is to control. Not only is Mana difficult to master, but it has no chains or connections to the other elements, making it literally impossible for them to even attempt to control any other element. And if one already has even slight control of any other element, they can’t ever gain control of Mana as an element.

Poison and Acid are two elements in Slavadia without an opposing element, making them the only ones of their kind. Anyone except Mana casters and those who aren’t magically inclined can learn them. However, they’re often seen as evil magic that should not be used by anyone, so it’s often banned and often considered illegal in a lot of places. There is also magic that is considered non-elemental (such as conjuring, levitating and summoning) that anyone magically inclined can learn.

People who are from other planets who find their way to Slavadia are most often not affected by these restrictions, but are only restricted by whatever restrictions they have received from whatever place they Came from. However, if they’ve never had connection to mana or magic, then they will immediately adapt to the planet, making them immediately and permanently contained within these restrictions.

Slavadia’s Curses and Restrictions

Slavadia is (and has been since its creation) under a technological curse, which prevents advanced technology from ever being created or brought in to Slavadia, for if the technology surpasses the colonial era (meaning from technologies like steam-powered trains to the first guns), it will instantaneously melt… and that’s the best case scenario! Because of this curse, Most of Slavadia is still quite medieval, especially in the more poor regions. Though, since Slavadia’s civilization is fairly new compared to Earth’s, and with the new addition of magitech to the world, they’re actually quite ahead of their time as it is.

Alchemy in Slavadia is… a mixture of that you would see in Fullmetal Alchemist, The Elder Scrolls, and Mabinogi, but is more strongly more influenced of the first two. (If you don’t know about any of those, especially Mabinogi, that’s okay, I’ll explain it to you in a future topic) Alchemy, however, can only be used by Humans, and any with human genetics (with the exception of non-native alchemists), and can only be used where mana flows around. Should there not be any Mana in the area; the Alchemy will have little to no effect.

Heavy armor, unlike in most worlds, doesn't interfere with magic. however, it leaves less room for concentration and mobility, and forces the user to use more mana to cast spells. This is the only explanation of why Slavadia's magic casters don't wear it.

Races and Creatures

The list below is the full list of known races and creatures on Slavadia. They are paired with a description of their strengths, weaknesses, and overall culture. they also contain the variants of said race/creature that define that version of the creature's strength Weakness.

Humans

Unless you're not from earth, Chances are that you—the person who's reading this—are indeed a human. And I’m pretty sure you know enough about humans so I don't have to go into excruciating detail about them. If you don't, either 1: You obviously aren't that bright. 2: You are an extraterrestrial being and should probably ask one. And/or 3: You are an Alien who killed all humans, making a big mistake of doing so.

With that being said, humans born in Slavadia, or at least those who adapted to it, are a bit different from Earth humans. Now, unlike all of the humanoids and creatures on this planet, they have the disability of not being able to use magic from thin air; no spells, barriers, or curses alike. However, Humans are the only people in existence who can use alchemy. (Explained in the unit: Exclusive Classes)

Humans are the most common being on both Earth and Slavadia. And, consequently, they set the average for stats, from intelligence and dexterity, to strength and endurance. However, There’s three things they don’t set the average for: mana pool size, magic power and willpower. While they don’t usually have the ability to cast magic, humans are known for having extremely strong willpower, much better than most other races and creatures.

The following races of humans are information based on those who are born in Slavadia, and/or have been raised there:

Normal—Despite Race, ethnicity, or culture; if you are 100% human, you’re known as a normal human. And unless you have any natural gifts/flaws about you, then there’s nothing more to say here.

Witch/Magician—Humans with the power to control magic like any other race are known to be labeled as such names. While females are known as witches, males are known as magicians. This is a fairly new concept of the world; they’ve only been around for 500 years. Females are more likely to be prone to magic than men, giving them a bigger chance of becoming a witch. No one knows how or why there are now humans in the world who can become magic casters… they just now do.

Vampire—No one knows who was the first vampire... they're probably long dead and forgotten. However, should a human survive the bite of one, they too, turn into a vampire. The plus side is, they get to live forever, and they get to turn into cute little bats. They also have a whole lot of strength, and certain things that would normally kill a human they're now invulnerable to. The downside... they have so many other weaknesses nowadays, it's just pitiful. Like how they burn in the sunlight... but if the vampire's gay, they'll just sparkle.

Elves

Elves are only the 2nd most popular being in Slavadia. They look and act a lot similar to humans, only they have long, pointy ears, tend to have smoother skin, and can’t grow any other hair other than the hair on their head. Stat-wise, elves are far from the same as humans. They are much quicker, more intelligent, more dexterous, and are excellent with magic. Their ears increase their perception, and they can live longer years. However, they’re rather fragile when it comes to physical offense and defense. They also carry less weight, which explains their light-weight weapons and armor.

Even though there are all types of elves, with many different features to them, the best known elves to be on this planet are in this list:

Neutral—Your Average Elf, with no added strengths or weaknesses. Frankly, these elves take more than half of the population of elves.

Wood—Slightly faster and more dexterous than most elves. Very skilled with ranged weapons, with a downfall of a smaller mana pool.

High—Highly skilled with magic, with the biggest mana pool of all the elves. They also have a very strong defense against magical attacks... but they're even more vulnerable to physical attacks, and they're as slow as humans.

Night—They've adapted themselves to see in the dark as if it's day time. They're excellent at stealth, and easily kill unsuspecting enemies. You can indicate what a Night elf looks like by their blue tinted skin color. When it comes to battle, though, they're only good at stealth missions. Otherwise, they're only hope is their magic, or else they're easily beaten in battle. Though, they make good friends with wisps, for some odd reason.

Light—They are the image of perfection... even though they don't fight. They have white skin, silver eyes, white-silver hair, and, more often than not, they wear white, formal clothing. They can only control light, in contrast to the dark elves. What makes a light elf superior, is that they have a 50% chance of obtaining a gift from Aferion (explained in the unit: Lore of Slavadia), like being able to see all futures, or having an Ultimate 6th sense. However, 25% of them are doomed to being tranquil, being mindless elves, free of thought, doing whatever they're told (violence excluded). Otherwise, they are normally sentient.

Blood—Unfortunately for blood elves, they don't have a very good reputation in Slavadia. When a high elf gains so much power, they sometimes loose it, and go chaotic. Thankfully, they always show signs before going completely insane, like abusing the power of his/her magic, and not usually sleeping at night. If that doesn't convince you, their skin turns dark red, and their eyes do the same. The last signs would be the aura turning blood red, and using their own blood for magic. Before they go completely insane, they're held captive in magic-restricting bonds. From there, they're either thrown in a cell, or killed. If they're freed as an alternative, they're banished from the place they used to live, and are forced to survive with no mana.

Dark—They suffer a similar fate as the blood elves, and are very contrastive to light elves. The dark elves often have gray or black skin, with eyes that vary in color. Every day of their lives, the dark elves are tempted to use the shadow element, which is the only element they can learn. Because they have a weak will, they eventually get the temptation, and, unlike the the blood elves, it can't be restricted. Once they use shadow magic, there's no going back. Not all dark elves are bound to fall for darkness, though. It's been known that some dark elves can resist the temptation, and live their entire life normally... but that's about as rare as a Phoenix.

Dwarves

They may be short in size and temper, and aren’t as magically inclined as most things, but they’re far from an inferior race. They’re stronger, tougher, and more tolerant to alcohol than humans. They also often have an interesting accent, and are friendly when they’re sober. They’s also more tolerant to the cold, and are very effective with using axes.

There’s not that much of a variety of Dwarves, and any differences between them are simply genetic. The only big differences are varied between the genders, like how male dwarves can grow epic beards while the female can grow… something else.

Giants

Giants have much contrast compared to the elves. They are slow, stiff, and not too bright. Their magic is weak, giving them a smaller mana pool than the dwarves. But, on the flip side, they're known as the most physically strong humanoids on Slavadia. They also have the toughest hide, and are capable of holding things bigger and heavier than themselves. Most Giants are friendly, but too nice, and that’s a sign of an easily manipulated giant.

Like the Dwarves, the Giants also don’t have much variety to them, aside from genetics and gender specifics. Some Giant cultures have different strengths and weaknesses, but it’s all subtle.

Dragonoids

Imagine a human, only with certain dragon characteristics, like wings, horns, eyes, teeth, tongue, hair, and claws. Despite how much they look like a human/dragon hybrid, they have no relevance to their history. Dragonoids prefer living in castles made upon the clouds. They have the ability to walk on clouds as if they're solid cement. Because they live so high up, they think of themselves as the most superior humanoids in Slavadia... but they never have the courage to back it up. In fact, Dragonoids are one of the most cowardly Humanoids.

Dragonoids are a fairly recent species on Slavadia, so they haven’t quite gotten time to have much diversity to them. Though, a common look they have comes with a long mane, curved-back horns, sharp teeth, and wings barely large enough for them to fly and glide. Some have bigger wings, some grow longer manes. Some have red hair and yellow eyes, another has purple hair and blue eyes… it doesn’t exactly change anything major worth noting.

Plantoids

Plantoids, though their name is kinda unoriginal (Humans' fault), are native to Slavadia. They, as their name suggests, are a plant-like species that often live in multiple climates in Slavadia. They are a rather peaceful group of people, who look different, depending on what area of Slavadia they're on. Since they're genderless, they reproduce asexually with their environment. Unfortunately, because they are “one with the plants” they are weak against fire, cold environments, and are often eaten by hungry wildlife. However, they absorb water to heal wounds, are immune to electricity, and can stand ground attacks.

These are the different types of Plantoids:

Forest—This is your average plantoid. They are slightly taller than humans, with ears of an elf, pupil-less eyes, long grassy hair, extended arms and legs, and green tinted skin.

Wood—The plantoids that live in the woods are shorter than humans and with a more browner tint. They also seem to have a more wooden texture to their body, in which they grow leaves on their limbs sometimes. Since the woods are more spread-out than forests, these Plantoids are fewer in between due to the greater lack of resources to create themselves.

Swamp—Because of the murky water, their skin is a mixture of brown and green, along with a more muddy grassy hair, and a slimy texture to their body. They don't live as long as the other plantoids, but they seem to have a longer endurance to attacks.

Marsh—The methane gas has forced their skin color to be either dark red or a brownish orange. They smell like where they live, which isn't a good thing. Marsh plantoids have a stronger defense against poison than humans, and animals aren't too glad to bite into them... but fire and cold environments are a guaranteed kill.

River/Lake—The plantoids that live near rivers and lakes have a greenish blue skin tone. They seem to have a rather scaley texture to their body, which adds to their physical defense. They heal more easily with water, and fire isn't as strong against them, making them the more superior Plantoids... should the waters not get tainted. They can grow as tall as a giant, or they can decide to be human-sized.

Orcs

Orcs are the arch nemesis of the humans and elves. They have been fighting each other for centuries, for who-knows-what, only to be in a continuous stalemate. Only recently, have they been in an armistice, due to Rudai's law of war, which states: If a war has been in a stalemate for more than 100 years, it must stop or else Rudai will put a stop to it by force (to be explained in a future topic). They still fight each other, but it's usually just a battle between two people, rather than a full-out war.

Orcs, before the armistice, used to be created in Segudo like goblins. But now because of it, less and less of them are being created... and an odd consequence of so, they have been born in the western Mainlands, and eastern Deadlands (in other words, around the border of Segudo) (Explained in the unit: Slavadia Maps). Along with their migration towards Shagudo, they started to gain personalities, as of pre-armistice, all they had was the instinct to fight. It's been 50 years now, and the born orcs are slowly growing in numbers.

I think you already know what an orc looks like... if you wanna clue, just look up The Elder Scrolls, or the Warcraft series. Now, that aside, the differences between orcs are all based on rather if they're born, where they're raised, and their skin color:

Segodian—As you already know, Segodian orcs aren't born, they're made. They used to be plentiful in numbers, but now they're dwindling. Every now and then, though, a human or elf would try to enter Segudo, and turn into one of them. Their skin tone is most likely black, which really doesn't make a difference to their stats. Their mind, on the other hand, is filled with nothing but hate for humanity, which gives them an insane boost on strength, but intelligence, wisdom, willpower and reputation have been severely downsized.

Green—These orcs are, contrastive to the Segodian orcs, steadily increasing in numbers. They're usually born in villages around the western parts of the Mainlands. They, according to Slavadian standards, live in the ghetto. It's not their fault though, other people just don't like orcs. They usually think of orcs as either hostile monsters, or worthless peasants. They always have a chance to prove themselves worthy, but their patience and temper always get the best of them. They don't always find it necessary to fight, but when they do, they're more powerful then they look.

Dark Green—These orcs are found in both Mainlands and Deadlands of Shagudo. They have a higher birth rate than the other orcs, and seem to have a very slight boost in intelligence. However, they are treated equally as bad as other orcs, and they're commonly not as strong as other orcs...

Brown—Orcs that are born in the Deadlands usually end up with brown skin. They have much of the same stats as green orcs, but they have a tougher hide, and can last longer without water... but at the cost of their intelligence.

Red—This is what happens when a born orc tries to enter Segudo. Corruption takes a powerful toll on their body, causing them to be consciously in pain for the rest of their lives. As a curse, a red orc can live to eternity until they're killed. They get a boost in fire and shadow element chains, but the complete opposite in the opposing element chains. Unlike Segodian orcs, red orcs are self-conscious, and do things on their own will… through the handicap of being in extreme pain.

Goblins

The orcs used to outnumber the goblins, but because of their armistice with the humans, the orcs of Segudo have gotten smaller in numbers. Goblins are now the ones that are huge in numbers. When the orcs migrated towards Shagudo, so did the goblins. And thanks to their migration, Goblins are capable of being born as well.

Goblins are short humanoids that have pointy ears, and pointy noses, and grow… a bit more body hair than humans. The color of their skin is varied, but never mattering when it comes to general stats.

The differences between the different goblins are like night and day:

Segodian—Frankly, they’re known as the weakest and most inferior race of goblins out there. No sentience, weak muscles, fragile body, and complete expendable nature… they’re the cheapest to make, only requiring a few materials to make, so mass producing them is easy. They take up a large chunk of Slavadia's population, but they’re nowhere near as popular as Dwarfs or Giants. Any goblin to come from Shagudo will turn into one.

Hobgoblin—The complete opposite of a Segodian goblin, they’re tall, strong, defensive, and superior. They’re as tall as humans, as powerful as a dwarf, as defensive as a giant… but they can’t cast magic, due to the lack of a mana pool. They’re also… very feral, to put it bluntly. They’re about as mindlessly violent as a Segodian, without being controlled by Segudo.

Normal—Thanks to society, even though this version of the race takes about 10% of its own population, sentient, intelligent, and civilized goblins are seen as “normal” according to what a humanoid should act like to be considered normal. With the exception of their small size, average will, and average mana pool size and power, they’re about equal to humans when it comes down to the stats.

Shaman—Should a normal goblin obtain greater power in their magic, they will be known as a shaman. Due to normal goblin culture, most goblin shamans practice voodoo and witch craft, using skulls and bones and other creepy things in their magic and rituals and clothing and… well, they’re just weird. At the cost of not working out on their strength and stamina, goblins get a large boost in magic and intelligence.

Ogres

If you’re from outside of Slavadia, and you know about ogres enough, you’d probably think Ogres would originate from Segudo… well of course they are! However, to create an ogre would require a lot of materials, so there’s not that very many of them to begin with, and as of the end of the 100 year war, half the population has become Ogres… which isn’t saying much since they’re… not very common in the first place.

Should you not know what an ogre is, they’re… pretty much a fat, gigantic version of an orc. But since in folklore and fairytales have a habit of changing the attitude of them, Slavadia is a place that… more or less, has multiple different orcs as well.

What are these different types of ogres? Well:

Segodian—Being a dreadful threat, Segodian ogres are second in being the most powerful humanoids in Slavadia. The only thing that keeps them from being stronger than giants is their artificial strength that caused them to loose many of the battles during the war. Their only color variations are red, gray, and black.

Shagodian—For a lack of a better term, most Shagodian ogres are… well… sentient, to put it roughly. They’re about as equal in stats as a giant. They’re slightly less intelligent and wise, but have a lot more stamina, and they’re a lot more resistant to poisons and illnesses.

Feral—Some ogres are just naturally more-or-less out of control. These ogres are normally mindless beings that roam around Shagudo. These ogres can be tamed like an animal, but in the end, they’re… like a dog…

Trolls

Many things come to mind when trolls come to mind. That’s because, if you know what a troll is… wait, what IS a troll? There are so many different types of trolls in fantasy settings that no single generic troll would come to mind. This is all due to the fact that… well, they’re an ambiguous bunch that has no consistency between fantasy settings.

Slavadia’s no excuse when it comes to having its own troll “design” so to speak. First thing’s first, A Slavadian troll is NOT a Segodian. In fact, at most, Slavadian trolls are split between three different types, which we’ll get to later.

Commonly, a troll looks like a gray, overgrown human that doesn’t care at all about hygiene or cosmetics. Their noses are round and fat and their ears are often long and elf-like. Some are fat, some are slender, and others build up muscle. some grow short curly hair, others grow wild long hair. Some grow hair on other parts of their body, others… well, they all do actually.

Here are the three types of trolls I was talking about:

Feral—The most common troll is a mindless beast that protects it’s land like an animal. There’s only two ways to engage with a feral troll: to back away from them, or to run away from them. Any other way can… get you killed. Feral trolls never wear clothes… and when they do, it’s pretty much just a loin cloth…

Cave—Trolls who… well, mostly live in caves. Like most feral trolls, they’re very protective of their territory. But unlike feral trolls, they’re not… well, feral. Sure, they’re not the most civilized bunch, but they’re at least sentient enough to communicate with people. The biggest physical difference between them and other trolls is the fact that they… tend to have a more brown skin tone to them.

Mountain—These trolls are even more sentient than the previous trolls, but that doesn’t make them any nicer. They have long, elf-like ears with fur hanging around the edges, mostly due to an evolution that helps them not get frostbite there when the cold environments get to them, consequently adapting either a light gray or bluish skin tone to them.

Halflings

Alchemists have been around since nearly the beginning of time. 10% of humans have learned alchemy during the pre-genocide, as opposed to the 40% of humans today (to be explained in a future topic). And thanks to two certain old-age alchemists, known as Reyhid Grayhorn and Ron Demian, there has been a new type of genetic pool that… frankly, nearly got eliminated during The Great Genocide (to also be explained in a future topic).

Both alchemists above worked on different ways to change genetics so that halflings can… well… become a thing. While one is a more purposeful development, the other is… well… a happy accident. But for further details on what’s what, we’ll have to explain it all in the future topics. But for now, we’re here to talk about Halflings, and the many different types of them.

Since there’s… a large variety of them, it’s impossible to indicate what the average stats are of a halfling. If we were to take a certain halfling, like maybe a half-elf/half-human, then sure, it would be easy to talk about their stats, seeing how such a halfling would have… well, half of each stat. But some Halflings don’t have a set status to them such as that, and depending on what the other half of the stat is, it probably wouldn’t even matter, since evolution has taken time to really make them… a bit more unique.

It’ll take too long to explain the different combination of halflings… however, there are different types of halflings, and that’s what this list will talk about:

Half-breeds—These are what happens when one humanoid being makes a child with another humanoid, or… something else. This phenomenon is caused by Ron Demian’s creation: the Reprofruit. The Reprofruit was originally supposed to make reproduction limitless to your liking, but... due to a mutation in it, there’s a chance that the child will come out as half of one, and half of the other. Frankly, the most common type of halfling are half-humans since because of the human’s natural genetics, it’s easier to combine it with another being, so in consequence, the chances of one being born is much higher than others. Half-breeds can only breed with another halfbreed with the same genetics (i.e. two half-human/half-elves, two half-human/half-dragons, etc), or else they require a Reprofruit to make more of their own kind with anyone else. But even then, thanks to them still having two different genetics, there's still a chance their baby will be purely one or the other. There's a possibility that half-breeds can have more than 2 different halves to them; there might be 3, or 4, or who knows how many genetics can fit into one being... but that's simply a possibility, and there's so few of multi-breeds, that not a lot of people even know of them.

Animorph—This started with Reyhid Grayhorn making potions that will allow people to transform into any half-animal they want… this indirectly affected the fact that now there are so many morphs of different animal species, that there’s official species of them. Like dragon-morphs, and even deer-morphs. Don't get half-breeds and animorphs confused with each other; while one is more based on chances with the Reprofruit, the other is more based on the fact that they've originated from humans, only to eventually transform into their own species, and have a 100% chance of the baby being their own species. Should an animorph want to have a child with a different species, they'll have to use a Reprofruit, in which there's a possibility of a half-morph.

Hybrid—This is what Slavadians call a feral animal that is the child of two other animals that didn’t quite mate with their own species. Thanks to the Reprofruit, the animals of nature have of course found them, eaten them, and as one accident lead to another, now there are all kinds of hybrids of animals.

Moe-morph—This one is a bit… of a weird coincidence. No one actually knows how or why, but now there’s humanoids in Slavadia made of inanimate objects, the most common being from things that are already alive, like plants and fungi. Some would guess it might’ve been something that happened during the early years of the development of the potions and fruit… but that’s all they can really guess for right now.

Extra: While it's difficult to name off ALL of the different half-breeds, hybrids and morphs, certain ones are popular enough to have certain terms to them. Half-humans are just called by the other half of whatever species it is, like half-elf, or half-dragon. The same isn't likely for any other species, and they're most likely to be called a half-breed or halfling between the two species that they are. There are exceptions to this rule, for example: woldrins. Woldrins are a common half breed between a wolf(morph) and a dragon(morph), which is interchangeably used between the half-breeds, animorphs, and the hybrids with that combination. There's also vampragons, which is a mix of a vampire bat(morph) and a dragon(morph)

Undead

When someone or something dies on Slavadia, there are different ways to revive them... not saying it's easy to revive just ANYONE. But should someone attempt to revive someone through the necromancy element, they will be revived, but... they aren't quite themselves anymore. They're a mindless solder, within a dead body, only to be controlled by the one who revives them. An undead will look about as dead as they were before they're revived, and they'll stay alive for as long as they're controlled. but as they take damage... it's a question of how "alive" they actually are, which will bring up the fact that they aren't really alive, just a dead body that's being controlled.

And then you come upon undead pupil that actually IS alive, and can control themselves, with the willpower that they contribute to themselves... There's only a few that are actually like that, and to call them an undead is... questionable, but hard to deny, seeing how "dead" they look... for sure they're not just "in a really bad shape" or anything like that are they?

Lizans

It's a debate on what to call lizard-like people, who have the body shape of a typical humanoid, yet aren’t an animorph or half-breed, since their origin isn’t of any of that, and their species have been around since the beginning of Slavadia. For a while, they were just called lizard men/women. They... never liked that, since it makes them seem “compared” to lizards... that, and they have no relationship between humans or any other humanoid, so adding man or woman at the end made them feel uncomfortable. They eventually came up with a name for themselves that they, along with many other people, can agree on calling them: Lizans. People who don't know better will still call them lizard men/women... and racists will call them lizards... or leather... or boots.

Those who get the lucky life of a civilian act like normal people, and do normal every-day things. However, due to a societal downfall in Shagudo, especially by The Tuskaray (to be explained in a future topic), they’ve been mostly known to live in the ghetto, and… well… let’s just say it’s not safe to live in their neighborhood. As of recent years, their reputation has greatly increased, but there are some neighborhoods that still have lizans that mug and steal and do all kinds of criminal activity thanks to the Racism in Slavadia (also to be explained in another topic).

When it comes to lizans, it’s not too hard to tell the difference between them and lizard-morphs. Both may be scaley and come in multiple colors… but lizard-morphs can naturally grow hair, while lizans can’t, unless they use something that makes it so they can (and I don’t mean a wig). Lizard-morphs also have light underbellies while lizans… don’t. Lizard-morphs can have either plantigrade or digitigrade legs, while Lizans only have digitigrade. Only Lizans naturally have spikes that grow from their head, down their back, all the way to their tail, while lizard-morphs don’t normally have that. The last difference is, while lizard-morphs have no consistency in their stats, lizans are always known to be naturally faster and more agile than humans.

Alguanas

They are Iguanas that, a long time ago. Had their soul bonded to human bodies... well, that is at least how they USED to be known. But, nowadays, they're born strait from their own species. The alguana name comes from the two Spanish words that described them in the first place: “Alma Iguana” which translates “Iguana soul” of course. Alguanas are far from aggressive. In fact, they stopped two wars non-violently, with the powers of love, songs, and sombreros... what? Just because they're on a different planet doesn't mean they don't have Mexican culture! Yep, the Mexican culture is heavily influenced for alguanas, from the looks, to the music, to the very tongue of their native language. They're very friendly, and easy to get along with... though, they are always threatened by racists and feral monsters who live in the desert with them.

Vembrales

Imagine a lizard... now imagine one about your size... NOW imagine one capable of standing like humans, talking like humans, yet at the same time, looking like a giant lizard who “thinks he's people” in the most awkward, yet, cutest way... in other words, they’re nothing like lizard-morphs or lizans when it comes to appearance. The vembrales never really stand when they're alone in the Vembrale forest. But, for some reason, they always stand up whenever a humanoid—who normally stands on two legs—comes around them. Maybe it's some kind of natural reaction to them, or it might be something that happened to them a long time ago that made them adapt to doing this, no one can ever be too sure. Besides the way they stand, they speak normally, yet there's a hint in their tongue that English isn't their native language. This is odd, since that's the only language they speak. They're very silent about their history, even to themselves, so no one can really get much information from this very phenomenal race of lizards. (Note: the Geico gecko makes standing look easy compared to how it is for them)

Froads

They're fat, slimy, and give you warts if you touch them. Froads are humanoid-sized frog-toad beings whom are known to mostly live in the swamps of Shagudo, feasting on insects small and large. Like the vembrales, froads keep to themselves, so there's not much info to gather from them. But unlike the vembrales, it's easy to know what froads are like by the way they live. Froads lazily live in trees, treating trespassers and otherwise with utter disrespect. They seem to lack care of what happens in the outside world, and they’re too naive to convince them against their opinions. They're not aggressive, but they can get grouchy enough to be aggressive. They're not very strong, but you shouldn't take a froad for granted.

Dragons

Dragons are undeniably the most popular, the most recognized, and the most awesome fantasy creatures in the history of the multiverse! (Yes, I really love dragons) These scaley beasts are the most common creature in Slavadia. They come in all shapes and sizes, from the size of your hand, to the size of Koristah Castle! (To be explained in a future topic) They also come in a major variety of colors, as like many scaley things in Slavadia.

I don't think I need to get too deep in detail in what they look like, since I assume you know what one looks like, as well as their natural attributes, like how their scales are light as a feather, but as tough as mythril. Also, like many humanoids, dragons also have many different personalities, that vary from dragon to dragon. Dragons have the freedom to choose whatever element they want, and master them within their extremely long time span... if they have one. Also, dragons have the ability to learn multiple elements, since they're capable of putting in more effort and patience to their work.

Despite what most dragons in most settings are like, Slavadian dragons are HEAVILY influenced by the humanoids they're around, so it's not too rare to see a dragon act like the people around their area. So despite how tough of them seem, some dragons just want to live a peaceful life… SOME.

There are SEVERAL different dragon types:

Sigodian—The most Respectful race of dragons, they are loyal and obedient and are willing to protect the continent with their lives... well, not necessarily. Actually, most just live there to live normal, safe lives, like the rest of the continent. These dragons are usually seen as normal people by Sigodians, even though they're a lot more monstrous looking than they are. If a dragon isn’t on guard and protecting Sigudo, they are passive, kind and generous, much like most Sigodians.

Pet—Of course, not all dragons are intelligent enough to speak, or have a mind of their own. However, they are smart enough to understand and obey, like a loyal dog. Unlike dogs, though, they will always remember what to do and what not to do in situations, like humping your leg, or anyone's leg. If you teach them to talk, it would take a long while for them to even get the basics. Pet dragons have a smaller variation in size; they only go for as small as an actual dog, to big enough for a human to ride it. If there's any other thing that separates pet dragons from all others is that their power grows the more they love their master, and vice versa… kinda like Pokémon. They can be as docile as their owner, or as aggressive, but the aggressiveness is not very effective if the owner treats his dragon poorly.

Feral—Untamed, unpredictable, and out of control, the feral dragons are the 3rd most feared dragon in Slavadia. People can manage to control them, and turn them into pets, but unlike actual pet dragons, which for 2 millennia, have been bread and taught by humanoids NOT to kill their owner, you can't guarantee a feral dragon won't back-stab their tamer.

Shagodian—Going back to dragons with actual brains, Shagodian dragons are similar to Sigodian dragons, only none of them are in the comfort of a safe barrier around their home. So, consequently, they're a lot more cautious, and a lot more emotionally strong. They train a lot harder on their skills, both physically and magically.Other than that, their attitude is much like those of whatever group they live with… unless their independent, then there’s no really telling what they’re like now is there?

Water—Though they’re known to exist on all three continents, We’ve so far talked about dragons that… mostly go on land. Most water dragons reside in the oceans, seas, lakes and rivers of Slavadia, and pretty much have completely different personalities to each other, in contrast to what I’ve been saying about them. They also have a tendency to either be blue, green, or something in between. Water dragons, being surrounded by water, have a huge boost in controlling the water element, while having much protection from attacks of that elemental chain… but electricity will probably kill them.

Semi-feral—Now don’t get confused… Semi-feral dragons are fully sentient… however, they tend to be in a body that’s half-humanoid, and half-creature-like… if that made any sense. Also, they’re not dragon-morphs, which are a lot more humanoid then semi-feral dragons. Now, with that aside, semi-feral dragons never grow that large, thanks to their humanoid nature, but are definitely as strong and tough as their bigger cousins. They’ve only been around since after the Great Genocide, so not much else can be said about them.

Segodian—Remember when I said that feral dragons were the 3RD most feared dragons in Slavadia? Well Segodian dragons are in 2nd place. They're smart, strong, and extremely terrifying. They're extremely strong with fire, earth and shadow elements, and are merciless with their power. They are loyal to their Segodian master, and are more than willing to kill anyone they're ordered to kill. Not a lot of people have the power to defeat them... but if they do, they're one heck of a dragon slayer.

Tranor—Not only are they the most powerful dragons on Slavadia, but they're the cause of the Great Genocide. They came around the 900th year of Slavadia, and for a century, they caused massive damage, and killed of many, while having others extinct. The reason why it’s called the great genocide is, even though the Light elves had foreseen their coming, and many races and species had trained for several years for their coming, it was STILL a one sided battle, and many races had to pay their existence for their entertainment. Only few Tranor dragons ever died during the genocide, and they left, simply because they were bored. No longer being on Slavadia, society rebuilt itself to the best of its abilities, and always crossing their fingers in hopes that the Dragons of Tranor would never return.

Secondary Dragons

You'd look at one, and you'd probably ask, “Is that a dragon?” but right after that question, you'll say “Oh, it's not...” Because you'd notice that they don't have the Features of a dragon, or are missing them, due to their biology. They aren't in any way related to dragons, but, for some reason, they have something about them that screams “dragon” to you.

What are these Secondary Dragons? Well:

Drakes—Drakes are the wanna-be dragons, that roam around Shagudo. They might seem more inferior to dragons, not having wings and all, but because of so, they've evolved to either have thicker, stronger scales, or the ability to run faster on land... or both! Their claws are sharper, their tail is deadlier, and their stamina lasts longer. They also have a more consistent size to them, from big, to large, to huge. Unfortunately, their attitude range is also rather consistent... which not a lot of them, long story short, make it to Sigudo.

Wyrms—Though they have no arms, legs, or wings,a wyrm is not an inferior being... if you don't compare them to dragons. Wyrms are sentient serpent-like creatures that like to live in large bodies of water, specifically the ocean. They used to be land dwellers, but as more and more humanoids came to Slavadia, they've adapted to places where humanoids aren't as common, in which so few of them go to the ocean, that's where they ended up evolving and adapting to. As for their personalities... they're the type that rather keeps to their own species.

Amphiteres—They might have the mane of a dragon, and the wings of a dragon... but they'll never run, and they'll never shake your hand, since their biology lacks the required body parts of doing so... arms and legs, if you didn't get the semi-joke. Their eyes are to the sides of their head, which indicates that this species is far from a predatory race. Not only that, but they lack the aggressiveness that most species like them have. This is odd, since they're omnivores, so they somehow had to somehow get nutrition from both sides of the plate. Research on this species indicates that they co-evolved with humans and elves, due to their cute look and charms towards them. Despite being natural prey to other monsters, they are very intelligent, more so than humans or even elves. They do more than just talk, they plan ahead, look for strategies, know what's coming towards them, and so on. (Note: some are known to have bird wings instead of dragon wings)

Wyverns—Wyverns are a rather small species, with everything a dragon would have… except for arms. They don’t grow very big; they start from the size of your palm, eventually growing to about the size of your arm... ironically. They may be a step up in biology from amphiteres, but a step down in psychology. They are very comparable in intelligence to pet dragons; they can't think for themselves, but they are capable of understanding and obeying. Even though there are no feral wyverns, since wyverns aren't aggressive in the first place, they are natural predators... to things that are smaller than them. Otherwise, they know better than to attack a humanoid. They're easily tamed... so easy, in fact, that a kid could go up to one and persuade it to be its BFF... if they're bigger than the wyvern, of course.

Hydras—A hydra is a multi-headed dragon-like being that seem to live mostly in the dessert or, more likely, a large body of water. Not a lot of them have wings, nor do a lot of them have sentient mind...s. Most are feral and will attack on sight, while others are... well, not. They're pretty big in size, growing from as big as a house, to as big as a mansion. And though it's known that they can vary in color, they mostly come in brown, gray, or grayish blue.

Doragons—On Earth, we would call them “Eastern Dragons” or “Asian Dragons” but because that's not true on Slavadia, we use their Japanese name. Doragons are “almost dragons”, having everything dragons have... except wings. They're not Drakes, since they aren't exactly feral creatures with a short temper. A majority of them live in Asian-inspired places... in which there's actually only a few Doragons in Slavadia. Most Doragons control the weather within the area, providing rain and sunshine when needed.

Dregans—These are… well… this is hard to explain… they’re like Dragon-morphs, but they don’t originate from humans OR dragons. They look a lot like dragon-morphs, but… well, they’re not. The biggest difference, if any, is the fact that dregans can mate with any scaley being, be it a dragon, a drake, or a Lizan. Otherwise, They… seem to be known to be a lot stronger and more agile than humans or Dragon-morphs. They’ve been around since the beginning of Slavadia... that’s another difference.

Ninekos

The Ninekos originate from a more Asian inspired location of Slavadia, more specifically, the first ones were found in Nitokoshi, A town in the northern parts of the Mainlands. They were found around the time the town finished rebuilding after the Great Genocide, when the cats that thought were dead from said event actually mutated to become much more humanlike.

Theories state that this is due to an obelisk that was once there that no one was ever sure why it was there, until it was destroyed. Much of its magical energy was released… but nothing much ever happened after that, until all of the cats around the neighborhood started running out of the houses and buildings a few hours after it got destroyed. They all left the town, never to return.

Fast forward a century, and the cats actually do return, only they now have the body of a humanoid that can stand with plantigrade legs and shake hands with normal hands and arms… well, the claws are sharp and retractable, and they have fur, whiskers, and ears of their ancestors, but everything else definitely resemble a human. They’re named Ninekos after the phrase of their native tongue, “Ningen no neko” which translates to “Human cat” of course.

... I need to eventually put all of these in a more proper order, but for now, I'm just going to put them up here as I complete them, and later, I'll delete all of them, and make one completely seamless list of races and creatures in the order that it should be.
