One Thousand Club
Captain Rin Carr looked in the mirror trying to see if he recognized the man staring back at him. Wondering if he could see the man he was. Shaking his head he turned away from the mirror and headed out of his bunk. Pressing a button on his shirt collar he spoke into his micro communicator "This is Carr. Senior staff get your arses to the command room." He said before taking a left down a tight corridor.

The Excalibur was expose to be a war ship with a couple hundred crew plus able to hold a company of marines. With some work they were able to run it with only fifty.

After walking up two decks he entered their command room. It had a simple room with a round table with a holo projector and a food synthesizer on the far wall. On the wall closest to the table was a screen that displayed everyone's up to date bounties. Their bounties were anywhere from a few hundred credits to a few hundred thousand depending on which government wanted them.

Orren had been aboard for less than a day. He didn't have many belongings, mainly a few changes of clothes, a holopicture of his parents and siblings, and a couple of mementos from his time spent at the teaching hospital. His room was small compared to other places he had lived, but spacious enough for his needs. After quickly unpacking, he took a quick shower and headed to his new sickbay.

Everything in the sickbay was shiny and new. Not surprising, as it had yet to be used. Orren took his time familiarizing himself with the layout. He was impressed with what he saw. A lot of the equipment was the same as the equipment he had used at the military hospital. Going through the cabinets, he found that his new sickbay was well stocked with supplies. Barring some catastrophic event, they shouldn't need to resupply for quite some time.

"This is Carr. Senior staff get your arses to the command room."
"Our captain doesn't waste any time. Good.", Orren thought as he exited into the corridor.

Not yet familiar with the layout of the vessel, Orren made a couple of wrong turns before arriving at the command room. Entering, he felt relief. "Looks like I'm the first one here", he thought.

"Dr. Orren Wren reporting as ordered captain," he said as he walked to the table and took a seat.

The first officer cabin is quite spacious, with two room separate by insulated interior wall panels, the larger room has a couch against the forward bulkhead, above a couch there’s a painting of the ship hanging on the wall. An office desk is located next to the couch, with desk-lamp, some stationary and a holo projector. Directly to the broadside bulkhead is a large “window”, where millions of distant stars are visible as their starlights which originated from untold billions years ago finally treaded through the vast extended void of emptiness to reach the Excalibur.

The small room is the bedroom space, nice crisp white sheet that’s never been used before the ship was commandeered. There’s also a head (toilet) located behind a door further in.

Lily was sitting on the couch, in tanktop with a screwdriver, just finished adjusting her prosthetic legs, which could double as a pair of deadly high frequency blades. On her left upper arm there’s a tattoo of the Arcadia blood sun, with the spear of the Infantry going through the sun. It’s the commemorative tattoo shared by many alliance veterans from the Battle of Arcadia, which Lily participated in alongside captain Carr when they were in the military.

Hearing the captain’s call, her synthetic lungs draws in a deep breathe of the recycled oxygen in the starship, before getting up from the couch.

She put on her coat, and switch off the tele-screen, the interstellarisch space outside the broadside bulkhead disappeared, revelling the screen down beneath. The see-through wall was actually just showing the image that outside cameras captured in real time, and not a real window.

Lily went to the command room, and saw the ship’s doctor and the captain are already present there.

“First officer Liliana Lawrence reporting as ordered, capt’n. Good day to you too, doctor.” Lily said to the both of them.

At twelve meters long and three meters tall when on all fours, the Zalbinian looked to be a cross between a lizard and a canid with scales and fur upon its body, wicked talons on its digits and a long tail that was capable of regeneration if cut off. A mixture of flat and serrated teeth adorned the alien's mouth with two medium-sized furry ears and a pair of reptilian ears in its skull, giving the predator very good hearing. Black spikes adorned the area above and between his eyes which traveled down his head and halfway down his neck, his upper limbs, ears and underside being covered in fur while the rest of him was covered in a mixture of black and green scales as well. Despite his ears being attached to his skull, they were capable of moving somewhat independently. His fur stopped halfway down his belly but helped insulate him on his icy home world.

Being a big alien meant he had a big room to rest comfortably within, there being a window with a shutter he could bring down if he desired as well as being able to cause the window to tint and block out the light of the stars and the suns they might fly by. The room itself was rather simple, with a bed large enough to hold his weight though he found sleeping on the floor being comfortable enough for his purpose, having made a makeshift nest out of some blankets. There was a speaker on the wall near the door and through it came a voice, telling the senior commanders to get to the control room. Gold eyes opened as Ajax pushed himself onto all fours and made his way to his bag where he opened it and pulled out his blinders which he hung around his neck before making his way across the room to the door which opened upon him reaching it. Ajax didn't have many things, having been a slave all his life and been taken from his home world, his blinders hanging around his neck by the thick leather strap around the middle. They were used for protection for his eyes since his race had sensitive eyes around young hot suns and being a navigator, it was necessary.

Once he'd gotten his body out into the hallway, the door to his room shut behind him. The corridor itself was also quiet as he walked down it, body low to the floor, his tail dragging behind him as he walked on all fours down the corridor. After getting lost a couple of turns and somehow ending up halfway on the other side of the ship, he was approaching the command center where to his displeasure, he saw two humans and, flicking his tongue out to taste the air, something that didn't smell at all. As his tongue darted back in, Ajax stepped further into the command center, doing his best to skirt the humans and the strange creature that had no smell and didn't look at all human that he could see, moving his body out of the way of the doorway in case anyone else ended up showing up and found himself a place where he could settle comfortably enough, turning slightly and pulling his tail close so it wouldn't get stepped on before pushing himself back up onto his hind legs and crossed his front legs over his chest.

Orren had not yet met the rest of the senior staff that he would be working with. Waiting for the others to arrive, he wondered to himself what they would be like. As a doctor, he had had to develop a well honed bedside manner, which has taught him how to get along well with others. Usually. However, it is sometimes impossible to not butt heads with certain personality types. As he sat musing to himself, the door opens and in walks a cyborg.

As a doctor, Orren is immediately drawn to doing a quick visual inspection of the new arrival. He can immediately see that this is some high class work. Nothing shoddy here, unlike a lot of the casualties he had operated on at the military hospital. With the war raging, it was all but impossible to implant cybernetics with this level of skill. All the military cared about was getting their soldiers back into battle.

“First officer Liliana Lawrence reporting as ordered, capt’n. Good day to you too, doctor.” Lily said to the both of them.
With a nod, Orren returns the greeting. "And to you ma'am."

The door opens again and what can only be a Zalbinian enters the room. Although he has never met one in person, his alien physiology courses covered this reptilian species. The newcomer entered in silence and found a place across the room where he could rest his considerable length.

Looking over at the newcomer, Orren offers a greeting, "Hello, I'm Dr. Wren."

The call for meeting caught Yuku in his quarters, lounging in a hammock. It was a rather small room, with plenty of shelves and miscallenaous clutter lining the walls which a nimble Mizi could climb to their heart's content, with not much in the way of floor space left after also accounting for a large table in the middle. There wasn't much in the way of personal touches in the room, with probably the most distinctive decoration being a set of framed pictures, but Yuku hoped he'd be able to make the place feel more lived-in with time.

For now, the engineer left his room and quickly headed for the command deck. He entered the meeting room, briefly flaring out his sails with a pattern of blue lines across the usual red. "Hello everyone." Yuku moved to perch on the backrest of the nearest chair "So, what is this meeting about?"

The fact that Zalbinian had been studied by humans at some point in Ajax's life, some information on their race in some class humans took was unknown to him. The six races on his planet had only gotten up to the Bronze Age in terms of technology when he had been a child. It was hard to say what age the six races of Maligantu had gotten to now in terms of ages upon the planet. As he settled somewhere on the other side of the room where his body and tail were out of the way, he wasn't expecting one of the humans to turn their gaze towards him and greet him, introducing themself by the title of doctor and their name as well. Ajax had some experience with what doctors were as he had needed some healing when younger or when he'd been in bad shape and his masters had allowed him to get healing for any injuries he had. "Ajax," came the gravely voice. He didn't say anything else as the door opened and in walked a second lizard-like alien who made their way to a chair and perched atop it, greeting everyone with a simple 'hello'. Ajax said nothing in response though one of his ears twitched as he heard the other lizard-like alien questioning what this meeting was about.

"It seems to possibly speak to us concerning introductions or where this ship will be heading and our current tasks," spoke Ajax to the room. This, was at least, his best guess on why they had been called here. The question was, was everyone in fact here among these 'senior commanders'? Or were there others missing?

Rin looked at the man and blinked trying to place the name to the face 'Right he's the new doc." He thought to himself before smiling. "Good to have you on board Wren. " He pointed his thump to their bounties. "Hope you don't have any regrets."

Two people came in and sat down quietly as the others filed in. "Alright people here's the intel." Rin said as he clicked on the holo emitter. A station appeared.

"Ragnar Station on our current course we should be there in a little under an hour. Usual the Suluons have the place protected but with the Mulich Imperium backed with a UG "Peace keeper force" striking the other side of their Territory the station is under manned. We can go in strike hard and collect not only credits but food, and other supplies we'll need.

Dr. Wren was about to speak again, when the door opened and in walked another member of the senior staff. Another reptile-like species, although he was unfamiliar with this one. As his training covered all members of the UG and Alliance, Dr. Wren surmised that the newcomer must be from one of the outlying, neutral territories. His knowledge of species from these areas was sorely lacking. He was about to introduce himself when the captain spoke:

"Ragnar Station on our current course we should be there in a little under an hour. Usual the Suluons have the place protected but with the Mulich Imperium backed with a UG "Peace keeper force" striking the other side of their Territory the station is under manned. We can go in strike hard and collect not only credits but food, and other supplies we'll need.
"So, this was to be a raiding mission to gather supplies," the doctor thought. "Captain, I've been going over sickbay, and I can confidently state that I'm prepared to handle any injuries that we may incur. Although well stocked, I'll put a list together of some more exotic items that might be available on a station, as well as some common items that we are likely to use more often."

Dr. Wren falls silent, not having anything to add. He had received some very basic combat training, but his main priority was treating patients, not strategizing. He'll leave that to others.

Regardless of whether or not they were all there, the captain ended up confirming why they were all gathered once they were all settled. Ajax watched as the captain pressed a holographic emitter, bringing up a station. The humans on these other planets had evolved quickly in terms of technology, perhaps too quickly for comfort for other planets and races. Ajax found they also bred quickly though they never seemed to have so many young in a litter but for being a weak race with no natural defenses, they were surprisingly adaptable. Maybe that was why they spread so quickly over different planets, likely at the expense of native inhabitants.

The station was not something that Ajax recognized but he hadn't been into the far reaches of outer space. The captain was still speaking about their current mission and Ajax forced himself to listen, hearing that this station, Ragnar Station to be precise, was on their current course and how they'd be there in a little under an hour. He then spoke of the reason they were going there, , saying that it was going to be a supply run and how they could get not only credits but food with the organization or race on the planet being attacked by a UG peace keeper force who was helping out some other group of aliens, possibly other humans most likely or a humanoid race. The doctor commented afterwards, saying that they were confident enough to handle any injuries that might occur and how they'd put together a list of items that might be needed for future space exploration. Not that they were really exploring space, they were all here for one reason or another, Ajax knew that much. What precisely their reasons were for being here was unknown to Ajax, nor did he care too much providing they didn't get in his way.

Ajax could fight in addition to piloting a spaceship, thus he had no problems going down to this planet and helping with this raid, however he also had no problems remaining on the ship. It seemed like the doctor was going to remain on the ship and otherwise not participate in the raid from what Ajax could understand. "What information do you have on the people of this planet and its terrain? What exactly would the ship and the raiders be facing on this planet?"

"They're an odd race made up of five sub species. This planet is primarily habituated by their avian sub species. The terrain is very mountainess." He said as his mind went back to another time. Back when he was a dumb private and his squad leader got him out of a hot mess.

"None of that is important. If we do this right we won't step foot on the planet. " He looked at Ajax he still wasn't sure about the lizard man but anyone reckless enough to join him was either trust worthy or suicidal. "As soon as we enter the system I want Excalibur cloaked. Once we are close enough to the station we will uncloak and fire at their communications relay. From there we'll board. Doc stay on stand by we'll most likely need you." He said. "One more thing minimize the dead. We maybe villians but we ain't monsters."

Lily saw the reptilian crew entered the command deck. Not a sight one would normally see in the alliance military. In the old days when she was still with her interstellar merchant family, she saw many of those reptile aliens working as slave labour in human colonies. It’s said that their civilisation were still in Bronze Age when they were discovered and subsequently enslaved, they really stood no chance. But then again, this is a pirate ship now, just like in the days of old when humans were still trapped in the gravity of their home planet, many escaped slaves joined in the way of piracy when some transatlantic slave ships were intercepted by the pirates in 1700s. History may not repeat itself, but it often rhymes.

“Aye capt’n. We still have plenty of sleeping gas in our arsenal. If we can breach the control room in the quickest fashion and release the incapacitating agent into the station ventilation system, we shall be able to rob them blind with the most insubstantial of bloodshed.” The first mate suggested to her captain.

Rin looked at his first officer and nodded at that plan. "Get them ready." He said before turning his attention back to the monitor. "Once inside we'll split off into groups. I'll lead group one to the main computers see if we can get any Intel we can sell for a price, group two lead by Lily will storm engineering.

He than turned to Ajax. "Ajax you'll head to medical and grab whatever supplies the doctor needs." He said. "Doc I know you said your good but it's always good to have a surplus. You never know when everything goes to hell and you run out quickly." He than looked at everyone. "Take only what we need. No reason to completely leave them dry."

The captain briefly answered him, saying this planet's native inhabitants were made up of five subspecies and how the terrain was mountainous, with this planet they were visiting or rather raiding being made up of an avian subspecies. So they could either be capable of flight or not. However, the captain said none of the information that had been given was important since they would apparently be trying to do this raid while remaining on the ship rather than going onto the planet's surface. He then looked at Ajax, saying that once they entered the system, he wanted the ship cloaked and that once they were close enough to the station, that they would then uncloak the ship and fire at their communications relay, thereby knocking out their communication systems and prevent them from either calling for backup or alerting anyone to the ship's presence. Then the cyborg spoke up, saying that they had plenty of sleeping gas in their arsenal that could be potentially used if they could breach their control room quickly and if they did that, then they could effectively blind the avians in the station.

Truthfully, the idea of a robot or a cyborg where someone was half metal and wires didn't appeal to Ajax, nor could he understand it at all. They didn't have such technology on his home planet, nor on the only other inhabited planet either which was further ahead of them in terms of technology as he'd come to understand and was more populated by several dozen races. Not that any of the inhabitants on either planet were aware of each other, both planets not being far enough to even come into flying capabilities yet much less space travel. If one lost a limb or something on his planet, they functioned without one though it was easier for the Zalbinian who had four legs compared to say the Thocah whom only had two legs. The captain however then turned back to Ajax after speaking to the cyborg first mate an told him to head to the medical to grab whatever supplies the doctor needed before speaking to the doctor himself.

Ajax, for his part, gave a curt nod to the order but otherwise didn't respond in the slightest to what he was told to do. As the captain spoke to the doctor, Ajax paid only slight attention until the meeting was done. Since he had to go to to the medical area to get supplies, he'd make a point of following Dr. Wren to get a list of what was needed to be taken from this raiding run.

After giving instructions to everyone, it appeared that the meeting was over. The captain had a concise, well thought out plan as to how they were to proceed. Dr. Wren liked working with someone who was decisive as well as intelligent. It seemed that he and the captain would get along just fine.

Although the sickbay was top notch, the small cybernetics lab left a lot to be desired. Oh, it had the basic equipment for minor repairs, and he might be able to attach a low quality implant with it, but after seeing the first officer, he knew this would never suffice. He'll need to add a couple of pieces of higher quality equipment to ensure he can take care of her cybernetic needs, should she run into trouble.

Leaving the Command Room, he headed to sickbay to put his list together. Noticing that Ajax was following, he decided to head to the cybernetics lab instead. "I can put a list together of medical supplies we could use, but I also need some cybernetic equipment, if they have any aboard the station." he said to Ajax. "Nothing bulky, but I wanted to show you what it would look like."

Entering the lab, he walks over to a machine sitting on a wheeled cart table that can be wheeled over a patient lying on a surgical table. The machine was one foot by one and a half feet at the base and stood about a foot tall. What was clearly the front panel had two dials and several light indicators. "This machine is used for neural attachments to cybernetic implants. Unfortunately, this model is a few generations out of date. There is no way that I could properly operate on our first officer with this, should see find herself needing major repair work. What I need you to look for is a machine that will look very similar to this one. If you look at the back here (he turns the machine around) you'll see the model number stamped on the back panel. As you can see, this is model X-015. The model I'm looking for is XJ-01. If you find one, you should have no trouble getting it back. It should weigh about 25 pounds. Give me a couple of minutes and I'll get the supply list together for you."

Walking over to the desk along the left wall of the lab, he gets out a pad and starts making his list. "It's pretty basic stuff." he says to Ajax. "Simple analgesics, bandages, gauze, antibiotics, antivirals, anesthetics, heavy pain meds, things like that. Don't worry if they don't have it all, it's just back up for things we may go through more quickly than the surgical grade stuff." He hands the pad to Ajax. "Good luck, hopefully none of you need my services when you get back."

With the meeting over, Ajax followed Dr. Wren to the sick bay, the place as sterile as any sick bay or hospital on any planet really...at least when it came to human populated planets. He listened to the doctor speak about putting a list together of medical supplies that could be used, his tongue flicking out to taste the air as he listened to the doctor speaking of also needing some cybernetic equipment as well if there were any aboard the station. He spoke of them being nothing bulky but that he wanted to show Ajax what they looked like. "And how many of these planets are advanced enough technology speaking to have the ability to engage in turning humans into half machines? What do you plan on doing if the planet we visit isn't as technologically advanced to help this...first mate?"

To Ajax, it was a valid question. Were they meant to be running all across space for someone that couldn't possibly be counted as a human anymore? That would cost them fuel and potentially lives. Not being favorable towards hospital settings or those in the medical profession, given past experiences with his first master. Silently watching the doctor move to a table and show him a strange machine, Ajax moved further into the sick bay to see the machine for himself. Regardless, he did pay attention, at least enough to figure out what he would be looking for. The machine itself wasn't very big, having a front panel with two dials on it along with several light indicators, a machine that was apparently out of date according to the doctor who spoke of the fact that Ajax needed to look for an XJ-01. He was told the machine, should he find it, shouldn't weigh anymore than twenty-five pounds and then the doctor proceeded to get a list made up, taking the pad after the doctor had written down a list of supplies and spoken of not worrying if they didn't have everything as well as what the supplies were. "I'll do my best with this," he said. Nodding as the doctor told him good luck, he turned and disappeared back to the command center after stopping by his room to get a bag to put the notepad in as well as well as hold these items he was to find.

As the crew dispersed Rin headed back to his quarters to get ready. Opening up his locker he saw a picture of ten people sporting the Arcadian blood sun tatoo. They like him were the only survivors of Aces Company. Well aside from the incompitant appointed officer who got everyone killed and was deemed the Hero of Arcadia because of it. Shaking hid head he started to put his armor on.

Unlike the standard Mark 30 Battle armor he had during his time in the military his armor was upgraded with jet boots allowing him to fly for thirty minutes, a small missile launcher on his wrist that can hold three missiles at a time. A cloaking shield though not nearly as good as a Shade's but it was what he got.

He looked in the mirror as Orin Carr disappeared into his helmet and the Salamander took over

After Dr. Wren explained about needing the equipment, Ajax asked:
"And how many of these planets are advanced enough technology speaking to have the ability to engage in turning humans into half machines? What do you plan on doing if the planet we visit isn't as technologically advanced to help this...first mate?"
Looking at the helmsman, the doctor replied: "Well, not everyone we encounter is going to use this technology, and there is certainly no guarantee that this station will have what I'm looking for. If they don't, I'll simply make due with what I have at hand. It's possible that our engineer and I might be able build something similar if it comes down to it. Maybe."

Ajax was attentive to the information about the machine he would be looking for, took the list offered, and left to get ready for the mission. Dr. Wren found him a little standoffish, but this may simply be a trait of his species. He definitely came across as someone who could get the job done. The doctor made a mental note to try to get to know Ajax better.

On the UGS Liberty

On the other side of the Suluan confederation Admiral Reginald Vickers the Hero of Arcadia watched as the Mulich fleet was being pushed back by the Suluans. "So Pathetic. Why the inner council wanted these guys as one of their daggers is beyond him." He looked over at his helms woman. The Mythonian was tall lithely woman with red skin and dark blue hair. "Prepare to jump in." He said bored. "Make us appear as Ceritos battle cruisers. He gave the order to the rest of his fleet.

The United Galaxy was a peaceful organization they declared themselves neutral to the conflict. He couldn't go around with their ships reading as UG.

Before he could give the order a message flashed through his console. "Hold. Send a message to the Judicator and the Helios to go ahead with the attack." He said

Two dots disappeared from their screen and reappeared closer to the battle. "All remaining ships head to Ragnar station."

(An hour later)

Rin felt the sutble shift as Excalibur left subspace and the lights going dim indicating that they were cloaked. " This is Salamander everyone involved in the raid get to the air lock." He said before opening his arms locker. Thinking over the mission he grabbed his Elect Blade. A knife like weapon with the edges electrified. He than grabbed his Winson plasma pistol and three gernades two brights and a frag.

He proceeded to make his way to the airlock. He saw the ten people besides his higher ups. While Excalibur was primarily made up of former Alliance citizens there were those that came from different areas in space.
"Remember if any of them stay conscious stun them." He said. "No need for bloodshed if their ain't any."

Orren is in his quarters, making an entry into his journal:

"Well, I've met the senior staff and of course the captain. Captain Rin seems to be quite capable and someone who has his plans well thought out in advance. A man of action, he has wasted no time in finding a station for the crew to raid. Our first officer, Lily, appears to have gone through a traumatic experience, requiring numerous cybernetic implants. I don't know where she had the work done, but it looks to be top of the line. We're not really setup for cybernetics of her sophistication, but there is a slim possibility that the raiding party might find some better equipment on the station. If she ever needs repairs, I want to make sure that I can match the quality of her implants.
Our helmsman, Ajax, is the first Zalbinian I have ever met. He seems shy and reserved, which could just be a trait of his people. I have tasked him with retrieving some medical supplies and equipment from the station. He didn't seem to mind the instructions I gave him, or he at least didn't complain about his assignment. I'll have to see if I can get him to open up a bit. I wonder if he likes Aldeberan Whiskey?
Yuku, the chief engineer, is a Mizi. If the station doesn't have the cybernetics equipment I need, I'll brainstorm with him and see if we can't come up with something a little more advanced than what we have aboard. I trust that his engineering skills are up to the task of building such a machine. The captain must find him quite capable, otherwise he wouldn't be here.
End Journal Entry"

As he was finishing his journal, the captain's voice came over the intercom system:

This is Salamander everyone involved in the raid get to the air lock."
"Guess I better get to sickbay and prepare for any wounded crew members," he said to the empty room as he prepared to head to his station.

Ajax didn't speak to anyone once he got back to the bridge, staring out at the starry sky that stretched before and around him as the Excalibur hurtled through space to their destination. The stars were really the only distant lights within the cold black vacuum of space as Ajax steered its course. An hour later he heard the captain yelling for the rest of the senior crew to get to the air, Ajax exhaling as he monitored the ship's systems on another holographic screen. He then typed a command into the computer, cloaking the ship and dimming the lights as they jumped through subspace to appear near the planet in question. Once the ship was cloaked, he moved to make their defensive shields on and ran through the system information on the computer before grabbing his bag and leaving before making his way to the airlock, slipping the notepad into his bag.

When he arrived at the airlock, he found there were other people there besides himself...someone who was like a bodyguard or something and random other crew members he didn't know nor particularly care to know. Yet, also within the air lock were the other senior staff that were going on the trip as well and it seemed all of them barring the doctor were going on this raid. The captain told them to remember not to kill or otherwise harm anyone, just stun them if they were still conscious and how there was no need for unecessary bloodshed at all. He didn't say anything, just shifted on his lower paws as he waited for the air lock to open.

Rin lifted his gun as the air lock opened. On the other side he saw humanoid reptilians and birds slumped on the ground. "Move out." He said as he lead the crew inside.

Once inside he told people where to head before making his way to the main computers. He stopped every few seconds and looked around. It felt as if someone was watching him. Shaking his head from that paranoia he eventually made it to where he needed to be.
"Captain." A comms person said. "We're detecting a subspace rift. An... Alliance ship just entered the system."
.........

Vickers watched as his ship exited subspace. "Colnel are your men ready?" He asked. "Remember the data is priority. Kill anyone who gets in the way." He said knowing how that sounded. But when those beings came to discover their station massacred it wouldn't be UG forces implicated for the unprovoked attack. it would be Alliance.

Vickers smiled at the thought.

Bodies lay slumped on the ground as the airlock opened, allowing the raiders a chance to enter the station and see about stealing whatever supplies they needed or could. He followed the captain and others on this raid inside, silence having fallen the crew members of the Excallibur. Once inside the outpost, the captain told them to move out to their assigned locations and Ajax left to go find the medical area, allowing the scents that he got from flicking his tongue out to guide him as well as what signs he could make out though languages was not something that Ajax understood nor had been taught. Being a slave had its downsides, often more downsides than potential benefits but even after "leaving" his second master, he'd not taken the time to read or study alien languages.

The medical area on this planet, at least on this space outpost, was not a straightforward path as he would discover. Being part lizard...well his race were good at climbing so he took to the walls instead when it became impossible to travel along the floor. The only other races that were decent at climbing trees and vertical surfaces on his home planet without issue were the Karsobil, a tribrid alien race, despite the Karsobil being fifteen feet high at the shoulder, and the Thocah. A natural thing he supposed with the Thocah being bird-like aliens. Shaking his head, he came to a junction and climbed back down to the floor, moving over to a sign, running a finger down the information. Ah...he had to take the left at his current junction for a click. Dropping to all fours, Ajax moved along floor until he saw a glowing sign above him.

Luckily the doors were slightly open so he was able to pry them open enough to slip through. Once inside, he stood back on his hind legs and pulled of his bag, throwing it on a table and walked over, pulling out the notepad and looking over the supplies for beginning his search for them. Finding something that wasn't on the list, he tossed it in his bag anyway, this item being spare bandages. The tricky part would be finding this...machine that the doctor wanted. Still, even if he couldn't find it, he could at least get supplies and so turned his attention towards the supplies at the moment so he could then focus on this machine after finding everything else.

Once inside the computer system Rin went to work getting through the machines fire wall. He continued to look over his shoulder feeling like he was being watched. Once the system was open to him he whipped around and pulled out his blaster pointing it at no one "Show yourself shade." He said.
"Your wrong on two accounts dude." A voice said obsidian armor uncloaked right beside him. The armor had a dark red dagger peircing a planet on it's arm. "I'm right here man, and I'm ain't shadow ops."
