  Demonic Origins
  
  Lucifer was born of a Kishin Egg after years of solitude. In life, Lucifer was a human named Isaac Alkaev and was imprisoned in a Russian Gulag camp for speaking out against the Soviet Union in 1923. Ironically, Isaac was an actual criminal long before his imprisonment; he worked for one of the many criminal gangs that masqueraded as "freedom fighters" during the communist era of Russia. He had commit murders, stolen large sums of money and even bootlegged untaxed vodka for a majority of his life. After two years of frozen Hell in the camp, Isaac attempted an escape with five other men. In fact, said escape was successful - all except for Isaac. Little known to him, especially because he had only spent two years in the camp, Isaac was made the Korova of the group. While the word directly translates to cow, what it meant in the context was that Isaac was to be killed during the escape and eaten to avoid starving in the winter.
  
  
  The hatred that boiled inside Isaac was strong enough to cause his soul, the Kishin Egg, to give birth to a minor demon. Isaac was reborn as the demon Korova, and as a little ogre in the frozen tundra, he killed all but one of the men who killed him as Isaac, then consumed their bodies in return. The final man, a gentlemen named Alexie, became the new host for Korova. As Korova, Lucifer began to realize he grew in strength for the souls he consumed and that he was vastly more powerful than a regular human. Korova also used his knowledge of crime in Russia to realize he could do more not just by killing, but by lending his power to others. Korova joined gangs and offered them a drug of sorts, really it was his own blood mixed with vodka, and told them that it would give them great strength when drank. And, it did. This was his first step in using Faustian Magic. Korova the little ogre grew more powerful for each soul killed by those that had consumed his blood, but there was another even more important twist. After killing spree in the mid 1930's in Russia, the DWMA found themselves involved after a vial of his demonic concoction was found.
  
  
  Even Korova could not withstand the capabilities of skilled DWMA agents, and ultimately he fell alongside several of those that had consumed his concoction. Fortunately for Korova, they did not kill all of them. Potentially the greatest power Korova and to this day even Lucifer have is the ability to be reborn from anyone that has had their soul corrupted by his Faustian Magic. [sEE: Page 2]

  [Continued from Page 1] While his body and even a portion of his soul were destroyed by the DWMA forces, he was reborn yet again from one of the thugs that had consumed his concoction. From that point onward, Korova continued on more carefully and began to expand his Faustian Magic into contracts. He underwent a process called "Demonic Apotheosis" in which he continued to grow in rank and power as time went on. As of the early 80's, Korova reintroduced himself as Lucifer: the demon that could grant any wish. His magic had grown darn and complex and his powers expanded significantly. He could use wealth, fame, influence and of course his demonic powers as gambling tokens to convince others to sign his contracts.
  
  
  

  Abilities
  
  Lucifer has several powerful abilities ranging from using his demonic skills to unique sets of magic. Some of his abilities are not supernatural, but are learned from experience, higher education and a unique set of skills. Potentially above all, his passion and intellect drive him. Lucifer has explored the world of academia and would likely be on part with those with Doctoral Degrees in several fields including psychology, business, law, medicine and economics. His ever burning hatred for humanity has helped urge him to educate himself to make his demonic empire on Earth more well-hidden and complex, making it it almost impossible to target like his original and admittedly crude arrangements in decades prior.
  
  
  Charisma
  
  
  
  
  Lucifer is almost defined by his charisma. It exists as both a skill and ability and has become woven into his identity. Lucifer sports an advanced education in psychology, but also possesses superhuman hearing, smell and vision which allow him to observe a subject. He also has the paranormal abilities of seduction and persuasion, making his wordplay evne more powerful. These abilities truly augment is already capable skills in rhetoric and psychology, giving him an advanced view of the human mind. Lastly, more directly related to his abilities, Lucifer is capable of making someone admit their greatest transgressions - their most feared sins. Even those with incredible willpower cannot resist this ability for long. The culmination of these abilities make it nearly impossible to lie to Lucifer, as he not only is constantly gauging reactions both verbally and physically, but he is constantly using his demonic presence to urge those around him to admit the truth.

  
  
  
  

  

  
  
  
  Demonic Apotheosis
  
  
  
  
  Lucifer possesses the rare trait of Demonic Apotheosis. Apotheosis itself is generally defined as the elevation of status to divine, and Demonic Apotheosis is little different. By corrupting and consuming Human Souls, Lucifer increases his own power and rank as a demon. This trait is incredibly rare as most demons are cemented into their power via a demonic caste system with little room to grow. Lucifer, however, was born from a Kishin Egg and manifested as a minor ogre instead of a Kishin. The exact reason for this is unknown, however, it is speculated that the human known as Isaac Alkaev simply wasn't corrupted enough to become a Kishin, but his soul refused to move on due to its sheer rage.   [Continued from Page 2] Regardless of speculation, Demonic Apotheosis presents a major problem as its power can potentially grow indefinitely. While souls do provide diminishing returns, ie at this point, regular Human Souls do very little to empower Lucifer, greater souls can provide him even more power.
  
  
  To truly increase his power, Lucifer requires the souls of those that have trained or are naturally gifted. Additionally, the consumption or corruption of non-Human Souls does not contribute to his power. Thus, Lucifer specifically hunts down experienced Weapons and Meisters as well as looks for those with Strong Souls to add to his collect. If Lucifer is able to corrupt Souls instead of merely consuming them, he can draw off them over time and gain more power in the long-term. Above all, Lucifer vies for Grigori Souls as either corrupting or consuming them grants an exponential boost to his demonic nature.
  
  
  

  

  
  
  
  Currently, his power level is above even that of Three Star Meisters, but does not near Lord Death. Lucifer still does not pose as big of a threat as a true Kishin. In fact, for all of his demonic power, he uses very little of it. While he may explode into his true demonic form as pictured above, he never has. Lucifer does not use brute strength or his own raw power to pursue his needs. Instead, he uses his own power as a token to trade and gamble with. While Lucifer could potentially level a city, he has no reason or desire to. His power alone, while terrible, is not the immediate threat he possesses; his potential to continue increasing that power is.
  
  
  Faustian Magic
  
  Faustian Magic is a rare subset of magic believed to only be accessible to demons and beyond that has only ever been displayed in Lucifer and myth long before the era of the Eight Warlords. Faustian Magic centers around the exchange of power through facets of the soul and uses blood as a medium. In other terms, Faustian Magic itself provides no "cause and effect" spells. It instead allows the user(s) to transfer power from one to the other via connecting their souls temporarily using some form of blood to do so. The most crude and elementary form of this magic was first used by Korova in Russia when he found that his blood, when accidentally splashed on the open wound of another, healed almost immediately and gave that individual a boost of strength for a short period of time. Korova mixed his blood with vodka and marketed it to criminals as a new drug that would grant them immense strength. All the while, using said drink was not only addicting, but corrupted the soul of those that consumed it as it exposed them more and more to Korova's demonic essence.
  
  
  Lucifer has since developed this magic not to requite the direct consumption of blood. Through the use of contracts acting as a type of calculation spell, Lucifer has found that he merely needs to sign a contract in his blood and have another party sign it willingly to complete a contract. A contract created by Faustian Magic is binding and because it is a calculation spell must always have a set of rules. First and foremost, both parties must agree to exchange something. Normally, the exchange is of a single favor for Lucifer while he offers the other party a set amount of his own power to use. Notably, power gained from a Faustian contract is not necessarily demonic power as it can be used to fuel the user and enhance their abilities. Lucifer has created this loophole to avoid detection. The rules also have a set of "enforcers" that apply to both Lucifer and the other party. The enforcer can vary, for instance, if a party does not complete their end of the deal, such as a requested favor, the enforcer might strip the soul of said party or even outright kill them if they agreed to it. The enforcers are normally radical extremes applied to both sides as they are designed to punish those that do not follow through with their end of the deal. These "enforcers" are even more applicable in cases where it is wealth, influence, a favor or fame exchanged by Lucifer instead of his power. This is because the use of Lucifer's power at any time will slowly corrupt the soul of the user, so Lucifer potentially never needs to "cash in" on his favor or side of the deal.[sEE: Page 4]

  [Continued from Page 3] Faustian Magic is also what has kept Lucifer alive so long. Even after multiple encounters with the DWMA over his lifetime and multiple apparent deaths, Lucifer is capable of returning as long as a single vassal of his Faustian contract exists. This includes being killed by such techniques as Demon Hunter or beaten by enemies with an Anti-Demon Wavelength. This makes Lucifer effectively immortal as his soul just carries on. In theory, it would require killing all those that have active contracts with Lucifer or severing those with contacts. Notably, it is possible to sever a contract. Using incredibly powerful magic from witches stronger than Lucifer himself (a ritual may be performed with multiple Witches to do this) or an Anti-Magic Wavelength will both sever the Faustian Magic if and only if the user has not tapped into their side of the deal. If a user made a contract for power and has used it, their soul is bound to Lucifer until they perform their favor. If a user made a contract for wealth, they would require paying Lucifer back in full. If a contract is made for health, then said health must be sacrificed. For fame, said fame must be made into infamy. A favor for a favor. Most unique of these circumstances exists in that if a user makes a contract for love, they are bound the moment Lucifer plays his manipulative hand well enough for the object of affection to kiss the user. If this occurs, the only way of redacting the contract is to somehow make the object of affection hate the user. More rules can be added at the request (or behest) of Lucifer or the other party, making this Magic some of the most complex of all. If at any time the Faustian Magic is severed before a contract can be completed and the souls are still tied, both Lucifer and the user will die. Lucifer, however, can be reborn, making this a nonissue.
  
  
  

  Motivation
  
  Lucifer has spent the last several decades amassing influence, wealth and power. While he has been caught by the DWMA several times, it is almost impossible to know who has effectively sold their soul to him to get where they are. Celebrities, successful businesses and potentially at this point global politics are all things he dabbles in. Lucifer is far from the richest man on Earth, but with a few more decades, that may become the reality. Not only that, he constantly hunts for enriched souls to empower himself. Thus, Lucifer has three primary goals: to expand his demonic empire, to acquire and corrupt the Strong and/or Grigori souls and lastly, he wants to acquire the Book of Eibon. Lucifer believes that with the infinite intelligence and wisdom the book provides, he will be able to reach the point of power where he can spread his influence using technology and global politics, then end humanity. The end goal of Lucifer is simply to end all of humanity. Lucifer is the living embodiment of a self-hating human whose hatred for himself is only outweighed by his hatred for his former brethren.
  
  
  Lucifer was once a man named Isaac Alkaev, betrayed by his fellow man; eaten alive and left in the frigid, Russian winter. He has no intention on letting the world burn. He wants to improve it, to guide it to a better tomorrow - the promise of freedom and a better life - then to rip that from the hands of the world - the hands of humanity - so that the entire world will feel what he felt as life slowly left his body and the cold, bleak world around him came to an end.
