  What is the Compendium?
  
  The Compendium is the name for the ever-developing lorebook of the deep and complex world that is the dimension of Hell. Far from just a pile of burning rocks, Hell is its own functioning world with towns, cities, kingdoms, caverns, and dungeons. There is a caste system, with serfs who live life like insects and kings who rule almost like gods. There are beasts and creatures of myth that wander the plains of hell in search of prey. If it weren't for the fact that crops literally do not grow at all, the plains are completely made of dead yet unburning grass, everyone lives in a persistent state of agony, the only sources of light are the constant hellfire and the rivers of magma, and the fact that nobody ever dies, you could almost confuse Hell for the real world. As Hell is such a complex place, it becomes a necessity to keep track of everything in it, hence this Compendium.
  
  As you discover more and more about the dimension of Hell, the Compendium will be expanded upon to categorize your new knowledge for future reference. Whenever new information is added to the Compendium, you will be informed of it in the GM post that reveals the new information, as well as given a link for your convenience. Information in the entries could prove useful in the future, so be sure to skim through the Compendium every once in a while.
