The Northern Survey Corps: A branch of the Survey Corps based in the northern region of the walls. It operates out of the Utopia District and mostly deals with concerns in the north, though its members always ride south to Trost to partake in official Survey Corps expeditions beyond the walls. It is led by Commander Boreas Winter.
The Titan Cult: A mysterious organization made up of fanatical cultists who worship the titans. They often raid farms and villages, mercilessly burning them to the ground and slaughtering those who resist. The survivors are offered a choice: serve as a footsoldier or as a test subject. The Titan Cult employs horrific weapons during these raids, all of them being the result of the nightmarish experiments they perform. They mostly operate in the south, having come into conflict with both the Survey Corps and the Military Police, but a Titan Cult presence has been spotted in the north, and they’ve been coming into conflict with many of the northern mercenary bands.
Locations:
Utopia District: The northern district of Wall Rose. After the Fall of Wall Maria, the Utopia District became the northernmost point within the human-controlled walls. There are fewer titans in the north than the south, so Utopia isn’t considered as dangerous as its southern counterpart, Trost. However, Commander Boreas Winter still saw fit to headquarter the North Survey Corps in Utopia, to keep an eye on the titan threat while also conducting other operations in the north. The government of Utopia is said to be under the influence of a powerful mercenary group, but many consider this to be little more than a baseless rumor.
Trost District: The southern district of Wall Rose. As of the Fall of Wall Maria, it is considered the most dangerous district due to its close proximity to the majority of titans. It is from this district that the Survey Corps depart on their expeditions beyond the walls.
