Realistic or Modern The Role play - closed

Nor sighed as he looked at Konrad and then asked with a completely straight face, "Why do we have to hide from the soldiers?" It seemed that after that nap that he had gone through, Nor had once again forgotten what was going on and had once again forgotten that people were after him and his sister. That was why he was looking at Konrad with such a confused expression on his face.

Astaroth blinked at Konrad for a long moment, sleepy mind taking some time to register what he'd said. Nodding slightly, she reached for her brothers wrist, "Ill explain in the room Nor. Come on." She said softly. It would be better if Konrad was left alone to deal with it. Astaroth may have been practicing with a sword, but she wasn't stupid enough to think she could go down there and win.

Konrad let Astaroth lead Nor back into their room as he continued to listen. It sounded like all the men had muscled their way in, thinking quickly he turned to Nor "How many did you see?" he asked as he the turned back to look at the stairs, the noise of clinking armor drawing ever closer.

"I didn't count," Nor replied back. "And stop talking to me. Do you want me out there or in the room?" Because it seemed that Konrad couldn't decide where he wanted him since he was trying to speak to him. Nor then looked to his sister. "Why can't the soldiers see us?" He was so confused. And his sister was supposed to be the one explaining this all to him.

Astaroth just tugged him into the room slightly further, "Because they're the enemy Nor. They'd kill us. They will kill us, if they find us. Come on. Konrad doesn't need us in the way." She coaxed him, glancing at Konrad, "He'll fix it. He'll keep us safe. But... We need to let him do his job Nor. Come on." She tugged gently at his arm, not wanting to think of what Konrad may have to do

Konrad shut the door behind him and locked it, he could hear the men more clearly now, they were indeed Karnovan and they where looking for the siblings. The hairs on the back of his neck stood up when he heard heavy metallic feet beginning to ascend the stairs. Konrad drew his sword but knew it would be of little use against fully armored opponents so held his mace in both hands and waited as the steps got closer and closer. He stepped back and kept his back on the door.

"If they want to kill us, then I doubt Konrad standing there is going to stop them," Nor replied back as he gestured towards the door and then he looked at the window next. "We might as well go out the window because a lot of good Konrad is going to do against all of those soldiers." Nor wasn't trying to be rude. It was just the truth. Konrad couldn't handle that many people all at once.

Astaroth bit her lip, knowing he was right. Even Konrad couldn't protect them from that many people, surely? Grabbing her weapons from where she'd left them, she nodded slightly to Nor, "If...If they're all inside here, then there wouldn't be anyone to stop us from running away." She agreed, "Even if Konrad did win...Its better to be safe than sorry."

Konrad stayed by the door, but took a moment to examine his surroundings, the stairway was steep and narrow, he was going to use that to his advantage. He could hear the soldiers approaching, most of the five where in armor, apart from 2 men with gambesons, the men reached the top of the stairs and just as they did, Konrad kicked the armored man at the front, causing him to fall and trip his comrades on the way down. One of the knights in armor made it to him through, Konrad lifted his mace and struck the mans helmet, making a loud cracking sound.

Nor jumped just a bit when Konrad did that sudden action and that loud sound rang out throughout the room. And the knight that he had hit went down hard. "Konrad! Stop making so much noise," Nor insisted as he gave a shake of his head. "Can't you stop them without making so much noise? And besides...they're making their way back up all over again." It seemed like there really was no actual way out aside from jumping out of the window and Nor was not about to jump right out of that window. He didn't see that as being something that he wanted to do.

Astaroth flinched at the sound, and gripped Nor's arm, pulling him further back into the room, closer to the window. Nor may not want to jump out of it, but it could very well be their only chance if things went south. Which... certainly seemed to be the way things were going. So she held Nor with one hand, the one with the bruised wrist, and held her dagger tightly in the other, just in case.

Konrad was too focused on the fighting to think about the safety of the children, he wasn't holding back, he was screaming and growling and slashing away at his foes. He kept kicking the men down the stairs, but they drew very close each time, and Konrad was not without wounds, he had taken a few cuts to the legs and arms and gambeson had a number of cuts, for a moment he thought it was over but he saw his chance. He managed to kick the men down again, leaving him and lightly armored man, Konrad cut at the man, knocking him to the ground and withing seconds Konrad was on the soldier and carving his heart out with a dagger, as was his well known action during battle.

Nor looked away when that happened, not actually wanting to witness it. He really didn't want to see that and so he was looking away and didn't say anything. Just listened to the sound of the man dying. He swallowed the lump that was in his throat and spoke up once again a few moments later, "Did you kill them all? Are you done?" He asked.

Astaroth whimpered lowly when she saw that happen, and pressed herself against the wall, closing her eyes as she continued to hold onto Nor. Why did Konrad have to do that? Why couldn't he just kill them and leave them alone? She opened her eyes cautiously when Nor asked if they were all gone

Konrad had ripped the mans heart from his chest and hand showed it to the other soldiers, to Konrad's surprise the soldiers where only somewhat phased, they must have taken confidence in their numbers. Konrad sighed "Fucking run!" he shouted to the siblings before starring the men in the eyes and taking a bite out of the mans heart, drawing his sword and using the last of his energy to charge at the soldiers.

"No," Nor replied back as he gave a shake of his head. "As if I'm about to go through all of THAT," he stated as he gestured to the mess that Konrad had made and the more of a mess that he was currently making. Quite a bit, actually. He was really going at those soldiers and Nor could barely watch. "I'll just wait," he commented as he looked to his sister. "You can go if you like, though."

Astaroth was definately horrified with what Konrad was doing. Despite wanting to run, she stayed at Nors side. She wasn't going to abandon her older brother. Instead she pulled him against the wall and stood shakily in front of him, willing to defend him if it came to it.

Konrad was putting a...."decent" fight in his wounded state, the soldiers where definitely scarred of Konrad and he had manged to kill another one of them before getting stabbed in the leg with a sword. One of the solders at the back was about to try and thrust a spear at Konrad, but was stopped when the butt end of an axe was swung into his helmet. Some of the inn goers had decide to aid Konrad, with axe and knife they set into the soldiers, eventually killing them. Konrad thanked the men before stumbling down to take a seat, dropping his bloody sword as he went.

Well, now that the fighting was done, Nor was left standing there as he looked at the huge mess that had been left behind. There was a very big mess. There was blood everywhere. A lot of blood. Nor was more confused that he was disgusted at this point, though. And then he decided that he would go ahead and speak up and break the silence that had settled around them after the fighting stopped. "Why were the soldiers here anyway?" He had forgotten why they would be attacked to begin with sometime during the fight.

Astaroth had gone pale at the state of the place. She hesitantly put her dagger away, and stepped back to press against Nor's side, feeling somewhat sick at the sight in front of her. Konrad was hurt by the look of it, and whilst she wanted to go to him, she was too frightened and shocked to bother moving from her big brothers side. She may have to keep an eye on him, but she always liked comfort from him.

Even in his bloodied state Konrad could still roll his eyes at Nor "Because they wanted our heads on pikes" he snapped at Nor "Go to...Astaroth, make sure she's alright" he said in a demanding tone as he washed the blood off his arms and chest. As much as he wanted to punch Nor in the face he knew that this was common but the adrenaline hadn't really subsided yet. "Been awhile since i took a bite out of a mans heart" he smirking "Still taste the same" he said as he inspected the cuts on his arms.

"She's already here," Nor replied back since his sister was at his side but he supposed that he really didn't want to argue with Konrad at the moment. So he did give his sister a hug since she was so close to him and because he supposed that he really didn't want to look at Konrad or at the blood right now...and also, he really didn't want to get any of it onto himself so he stayed in the room with his sister.

Astaroth's eyes were drawn away from the devastation when Nor brought her into a hug. She leant her head onto his shoulder, wrapping her own arms around him as she shivered. No matter how much she trained, she didn't think anything could ever prepare her for what she'd just watched Konrad do. She had to wonder why Nor wasn't reacting in such shock, but supposed he'd always been different really.

Konrad was far too busy tending to his wounds to look at the siblings, "Sorry lads, ill help you clean up" he said to the inn goers. He was also rather confused towards Nor's reaction, he wasn't really that phased, Konrad knew Nor was.....different but still, it was just strange. He did notice when Astaroth placed herself in front of Nor to protect him, Konrad was proud of her.

It was true that Nor didn't really seem to mind the death. Even earlier, when Konrad had killed the spy, Nor hadn't necessarily been upset at the death but more so at the fact that there had been blood around his boots and because he thought it rude for Konrad to kill people right next to him. The actual death aspect hadn't bothered him too much and didn't seem to be bothering him now. But he didn't want his sister to be sad so he would hug her until she felt better. Besides, not like he wanted to help clean up. "I'm still pretty confused, Ash," he admitted as he hugged her.
