The tanned girl entered the small coffee shop with her hands tucked into her pockets- holding tight to her phone, keys, wallet, and book. She had used her shoulder to budge the door open, and frowned as it hurt just a little bit. But she ignored it, confidently striding up to the counter and taking her order with a smile on her face. She had moved with a smooth grace, similar to her voice as she thanked the barista and handed forth a credit card, nodding as it was handed back to her.
She removed her phone from her pocket, sending quick messages to those she hadn't replied to on her drive over. Friends, family, old acquaintances. It seemed her phone wouldn't ever become a serene, blank object. She tucked it away in her left pocket after glancing at it for a few moments more. Soon after, the small book she had brought took its place in her slender hands. She turned the pages absentmindedly as she waited for her name to be called.
